First time at this location and all I can say is WOW!Sonata is amazing! She made my wax practically painless and was great at keeping me talking so I could be calm during the wax.

Ive been a customer at this European Wax Center for years. In general, I have had a really good experience and have been happy with the services (primarily eyebrow) and customer service Ive received. Lately, however, my experience has been a bit up and down. In my last three visits, one was cancelled 10 minutes before my appointment time, one went very well and one was cancelled 10 minutes INTO my appointment time. This last one was probably the most irritating simply because I was offered no explanation or apology as to why my wax specialist was not there for the appointment, but simply asked 10 minutes into my appointment time as I waited in the waiting room if Id be okay with seeing someone different. I agreed (not realizing I was being rescheduled for the next time slot), and was told someone would be out shortly for me. Eyebrow appointments are only 15 minutes long. So, five minutes later I asked how much longer Id have to wait since the time slot Id signed up for was over. I was told the wax specialist was on her way, and two or so minutes later she came to get me. Waiting 22 minutes beyond my scheduled time is unusual, but I wish someone would have explained or apologized especially since, if I were that late arriving for my appointment, it would have been cancelled.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This place severely lacks professionalism, and I would not recommend this place to anyone. I scheduled an appointment for a Brazilian & Underarm wax with Jen at 10AM this morning and arrived no more than 6-7 minutes late. About two minutes later Jen comes out and doesn’t greet me while speaking to the front desk lady about my appointment. She tells me to go to the room while explaining that we won’t be able to do both services, and only the underarm wax. When I question why she says “because you’re like super late”. Mind you it’s only about 8 minutes into my appointment by now. I tell her that my priority was a Brazilian wax and that I’m not interested in only getting only the underarm. The front desk lady goes on to tell me that there is a 9 minute grace period, which makes NO sense because I arrived before 9 minutes. Underarms take maybe 10 minutes to wax soooo why couldn’t she just do my Brazilian and take the underarm wax off??? The entire time I got the feeling that Jen just didn’t want to service me because there is no way that I was too late for her to do my Brazilian wax and I definitely wasn’t “like super late”. Terrible experience, I felt unwelcomed by both Jen and the front desk lady who basically told me that I was within the grace period but still had to reschedule. 0/10 would not recommend I would never let anyone near my private area that treated me with such disrespect. I traveled to come here and wasted my time.

This location initially gave customers 10% off to leave a positive review. I fell for it but little did I know that they probably had to do this because of negative reviews. I have been a customer at this center for several years and faithfully renewed my wax pass annually! unfortunately will not be returning. My wax service has been canceled twice with in a 3 day span. I had an event to go to and it was important for me to get my planned services and now I am left with zero options. Not only did I think it would be ok as long as I got in immediately today, I am once again being canceled on the day of. I wasn’t even given a same day appointment option for the inconvenience. I was told I could come up to the center for 2 separate appointment times. Who has time to do that on a Saturday? The other option was choose another day. Well seeing as my event is today, This isn’t helping either. Not only until I wrote an email to the owner/manager did I get a call back now offering me a new appointment ASAP for all of my services and $10 off. Why wasn’t I initially offered this option? This is how you would think they’d treat loyal customers! I kindly declined the offer and took my business to another franchise who scheduled me within 2 hours notice. Now that’s service.I have referred so many people to this particular location and will definitely be informing them to switch immediately because clearly your services are undependable.DONT SCHEDULE HERE IF YOUR COUNTING ON YOUR APPOINTMENT! IF YOU HAVE TIME FOR SCHEDULING GAMES THEN PROCEED.

I’ve been to a few EWC locations and I’m never disappointed with my experience. The ladies here are very professional and attentive to detail. They always meet my expectations for waxing as well as scheduling. I highly recommend this location to anyone seeking affordable wax services in the West Suburbs.

This was my first experience with body waxing and I couldn’t have asked for a kinder and more welcoming crew. Kayla, one of the girls up front, made me feel so at ease when I arrived. She was so friendly and a true joy to talk with. Jen, the aesthetician I had, was so calm, subsequently making the experience far less terrifying for me. She walked me through the whole process and made sure I was always comfortable. Her conversational skills were a much-appreciated distraction from the process. Thank you for the pleasant visit, girls! I’ll see you next month!

I got my first Brazilian wax with McKenna. I was very nervous but she was so so nice. She talked me through everything and was telling me I was doing a “good job” which I appreciated. 10 out of 10 would recommend going to her! She will make you so comfortable!The place is also very clean and the staff at the desk were very nice as well!

Beautifully decorated warm friendly staff the only thing I dont like is the 9 minute late policy however I do understand time is of essence. But unfortunately I got caught up in a flash flood driving there and I called anyway I end up giving my appointment to my girlfriend who had never been there and it was definitely worth the trade-off shes extremely happy I go there all the time so I know how amazing they are.

I’ve been coming to EWC since college they never disappoint! I’ve recently switched locations to Naperville and the staff is always so nice and friendly. I love getting my underarms waxed, such a great service here. They were especially helpful when I had to bring my son with me because daycare was close!

I had an appointment at 9 AM. I checked in through the text message at 9:05 AM. I walked in at 9:07 AM. And they told me that they had a nine minute late policy and they could only do one of the services that I was scheduled for. I showed them that I was here by 9:05 and I texted them and then they proceeded to tell me that they do not do the online check-in anymore. The email that I received confirming my appointment said that we could do online check-in. I showed them the email and they said that it was an email from corporate and that they recommend to always come in. I was not explained that in any confirmation text message or email that I received from my appointment. Needless to say the person who was going to perform my wax was extremely rude and said ‘I’m only going to do one service today and that’s your option’. I decided to leave and schedule an appointment in the Bloomingdale location which is where I have had excellent experience. I would never recommend this Naperville location to anyone.

Best decision I ever made. I got the pass and it keeps me on schedule. Love this place.

I was nervous for my first appointment, but the staff was absolutely amazing! McKenna made me feel super comfortable and I’m always really happy with the results.

I love how clean and neat everything is. I have been 3 times now. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They dont push too hard on joinging the wax pass club which does save in price. I feel its a pricey luxury but it stopped my ingrown hairs. Ill be back again and I recommend them. Victoria is very nice.

I would have given a 5 star but for my experience today. I booked an appointment 5 weeks in advance and today when my tech was not available I was not extended any courtesy. The receptionist Alisa was rude and not cooperative and actually hanged up on me when I was trying to come to a resolution on how I could receive services. I have been lenient on other occasions when my tech has an “emergency” or is “out of town”. I have been using European wax center for 3 years and today’s experience ruined all those 3 years with them. I will be following up with cooperate on this issue. I am very disappointed to say the least. I have informed all friends and family I referred to withdraw their business as well.

Front desk is unprofessional liars and needs better training.Sitting at the desk eating in front of customers and then decided to tell me oh your late you have to be rescheduled. Oh we have a nine minute policy but you can make me wait 10mins. And the late policy is 10mins. I called and confirmed . Refund my wax package plzzzzzz. I will take my business some where else.

I been going to European Wax for like a year now and my first time was with Melania & I stuck with her! She is amazing! She holds conversations to get your mind off the wax, which really works. Amber was a ray of sunshine during a dark time! Im a baby when it comes to getting a bikini wax and its usually extremely painful. But the way EWC uses hard wax and the level of expertise Amber has, made it a decent experience! Amber was super sweet. She knows how to keep the conversation going and make you feel comfortable. It was over way sooner than I expected. Definitely recommend giving Amber and EWC a try if you havent already!

I went in for my 1st Brazilian wax ever about a month ago & again today & I was in & out of the room in 10 minutes thanks to my girl MCKENNA. So far I’ve loved my results & McKenna will make sure you’re 100% comfortable, she’s quick & smooth & does a great job at keeping you distracted by having genuine conversations. Oh & it doesn’t hurt that bad girl just do it!

I have been a faithful customer for 3+ years & havent used a razor since for Brazilians and Brows. I am in & out quickly, minimal/painless waxes. Their products are an absolute MUST. My hair has grown back thinner and slower and no more in growns!In the past there were a couple issues with front desk staff and snarky attitudes but they didnt last long. Management definitely takes complaints seriously.Highly recommend this location!!!

Upon arrival myself and two other women were standing outside waiting to be let in while the receptionist just sat there doing nothing (1st red flag) once I got checked in Melania came to get me. When we got in the room she told me to get undressed and she did not leave the room. Idk I just feel that’s very unprofessional because most places will leave in order for you to get undressed for your privacy & comfort. (2nd red flag). When I got home from my wax there was wax stuck to some of the hairs that she wasn’t able to get off so that was kinda painful. For this to be my first time here I’m a little disappointed. She is very nice and had good conversation I just think the waxing here is not the best and I will not be returning.

Great waxing experience Jenna made me feel comfortable, however they need to be upfront about costs. I was told I would receive eyebrow service complimentary as a first time and half off brazilian. Unfortunately, this was not the case I would never pay $22 to get my eyebrows waxed that is just overpriced ! So turned off by the misleading information I canceled future appts.

Love it! All the waxers ive had are super sweet and gentle. They always explain the process and make me feel as comfortable as can be.

I feel as if this place comes across a bit racist. Not so every employee but more so the employee whom sits at the service desk with blonde hair and glasses. She just stirs at you the entire time you’re there but doesn’t with the other races. It’s almost as if she is shocked that you can afford a small 50 dollar wax. I’ll probably receive my service at another location or continue to do it myself. Also, Alexis did my wax but refused to tweezer out the small hairs, not that they were to small but for me to do it myself at home .

Janet was so awesome! She made me super comfortable while doing my brazilian wax. The service was quick but not rushed. The prices for a brazilian are amazing for the area.

I went in yesterday as a first time customer based on recommendations from most people I know. I usually go to a salon about an hour from my house, and was excited to try a place that was so close to home. I was also excited that hard wax would be used, as it is known that hard wax is less painful than hot wax since it doesnt adhere to the skin.I arrived for my appointment only to find out that the app had me scheduled for Saturday.. Luckily the girls were able to fit me in in about 10 minutes.I was introduced to my esthetician, who seemed nice, but I never caught her name since she whispered it. It started with an A. She took me back to the room, and told me she would turn around as I undressed. This should have been my first sign to walk away. I have never in my life had anyone stay in the room while I strip down before my wax. I have received a towel to cover up at every other place I have been to and given privacy while undressing. This was unprofessional.She explains to me that it is a hard wax, and the procedure, confirming that I have had a Brazillian in the past. Comments on how it looks like it has been a long time (unprofessional issue number 2) and continued to make comments about how coarse my hair was throughout my visit. I have always had coarse hair. Even when I dont miss a wax my hair grows back thick and coarse. Which is why I get waxed.She placed the wax on me, in longer strips than I have ever had done before, and proceeded to blow on them to get them to harden... When she was pulling the wax off, she would do it slowly and not hold my skin taut. I could feel wax being left behind during the procedure.All she wanted to do was question me about everything in my life. I just wanted her to do her job.After a few strip of wax had been pulled up to asked me what was wrong, and I told her this is the worst waxing experience I have ever had. She asked if I wanted to continue and I told her to just finish it so I can go. She told me she didnt want to finish if I was in too much paid. The pain I was experiencing was because she was pulling slowly, and doing larger sections than she should have.I told her fine, clean up whatever is still on me, and I will go. She put the after wax cream on me and sent me on my way. I offered to pay for the procedure that was completed (bikini line), and was told dont worry about it.When I got home, I found pieces of wax stuck to my pubic hair all over. I ended up having to use trimmers to buzz it all out. I now cannot get waxed until the hair grows out again, when I had planned on going to my usual salon next week to get everything finished and fixed. I am now stuck with stubble that is poking me.I have never had so much redness or bumps on my bikini line, or so much pain while being waxed. Even when I have done it myself with cheap wax. The woman who was waxing me has no right to be waxing anyones vagina. I would be surprised if she could even do eyebrows properly.UPDATE: 7/14/2018I was reached out to on Facebook by someone I know, asking if this review was posted by me. I confirmed it was. She claims to have been waxed by my waxer, and told me that I shouldnt go to a place that specializes in speed waxing if I have these issues.Well, I NEVER posted the name of the waxer, because I dont know her name. So apparently, she can claim she has been waxed by someone she doesnt know the name of.After about a week, I started showing ingrown hairs, all over my perineal area. When I have been waxed in the past, I have NEVER gotten an ingrown hair. It is why I get waxed. I have also NEVER had the hair grow back that fast. I believe the pain was caused because she was ripping the hair, not pulling it out of the follicle, and that would explain the ingrown hairs and the quick return of hair.If I could give negative stars after this experience I would I caution everyone who considers going to EWC to reconsider and go to a REAL SALON instead. It is about the same price, and a way better experience.

If youre looking for waxing without spending a lot, this is the place! They do a good job, but could do better. Cant tell you how many times Ive gone & had to tell the esthetician she missed a few spots during my Brazilian wax. Theyre on 15 min increments so I think this is why- they always seem like theyre in a rush to get you in & out and like I said, the quality is not as it should be as opposed to when theyre taking more time to wax you. You need 20-25 min or more for a proper waxing (this will also help reduce pain so youre not constantly getting hair ripped off). Spend the extra few dollars & get the quality time with the esthetician... youre already spending a lot!

They are ok, the only two reasons why I am not satisfied is, because i make a appointment for a Brazilian for a Saturday the receptionist told me that they had one opening for 8 am. I was there at 7:45 am and the place wasnt open till 8:30am. Also there prices went too high.

I went there during office hours to pick up some serum that I needed. Went completely out of my way to find the office was closed. It was Sunday at 4:58. They close at 6. Bad business etiquette.

I was choked today when I called to make appointment, person on the phone was so rude and she dont give us appointment because we miss our previous appointment, my wife was they Reqular costumer in last two years and at least once month she spend $200 there but now they dont give her appointment because of she miss one appointment, Im sorry for see this kind of pure management services
