Brought my bike to Spokes for a tire repair and had a wonderful experience. The owner met me outside, brought my bike in and also loaded it in my car after. They repaired the tire while I waited- very fair price. I will refer my friends and will definitely be back! Great customer service!

I just today picked up my bike today from a tune up and I also needed some new tires. They did a fabulous job!! I rode my bike home and it performed like butter. Smooth, quiet, AND it was shiny clean too. The tires they gave me were a tad wider than the ones I had and I was a bit skeptical of that, but there was no need to be, as the tires made the ride super comfortable, steady, and easy to pedal. The folks that work there are always helpful and patient and kind. Thank you so much for treating my old bike and me, with respect and professionalism.

Dropped by one day to get headstock adjusted, had to leave number because they are backed up. Wasnt sure if I would be called but did receive one about a week later. Brought bike in and the owner/manager looked at it and asked if that was all I needed. He proceeded to work his magic in under 20 minutes (I fully expected to drop bike off). I was out the door feeling grateful and pleased with the high level of service and attention, all at a very reasonable price.

We have gone here for flats and wanted to give them our business for a full tune up/brake repair on a few bikes but were starting with my sons. They have lost my business for good. We have been in a few times for flats. The older gentleman is curt and hard to understand, but encounters were brief so we put up with it. They are overwhelmed this season, so I was put on their waiting list to bring my bike in - totally fine. I got the call that it was okay to bring my bike in- appreciated the follow up. I walked in with my son and didnt even get a chance to speak. The older gentleman said one minute, one minute. So we stood. Then, I thought he said Please come in, please come in and he made a gesture, so we followed him towards the back...we stood there, he said nothing while he hung tires. We stood some more. Then he rudely said Back, out, out and he pointed at another younger guy coming in the door and he said He is there, he is coming - so I realized that earlier he must have also said He is coming...never indicating where he was and how long. Anyway, we stood some more. The younger man came in, walked around us without a word, checked out a bike, moved the other bike to a rack, mumbled something to the older dude - neither of them acknowledged us, asked us why we were there, said they would be with us soon - NOTHING. The older gentleman never even said to the younger man that we were waiting. He never even gave us a chance to say that we had received a call to bring our bike in. After 7 minutes of rude behavior and silence, I wanted nothing to do with either of the people in the shop. We turned and walked out - without a word from either of them still. Not good customer service, not good business.

Ive only taken my bike in when I need to fix a flat. They are reasonable and get the job done fast. Theyve been there a long time. A testament to there work. I highly recommend.

These guys are honest, professional and overall very helpful. Every time I contact them for some bike fixes or maintenance they find a way to work me in and do the work in a fast and properly and get me back on my bike with a friendly manner. I highly recommend Basil for his store operations and Kyle for his work on the bikes.

Spokes is a great shop and Basil takes care of all his customers. (25M) First time bike buyer He took the time to explain the differences between bikes and what would work best for me. It was honestly a great learning experience, Basil is an amazing source of knowledge and wisdom! He’s the Bike Guru! My bike rack came off and they did everything to resolve the situation and make me feel comfortable. Basil takes care of his customers. I refuse to go anywhere else for any bike related purchases/concerns.

Terrible service. Took bike in for simple brake service to fix calibers. Apparently fixing both front and back brakes was a bit too much for this place to handle as the back brakes were still squeaking when I got home and then the back brakes completely failed a fewWeeks later

Im sure they do good work if they get back to you. I called to get service and they said theyd call me back. Never heard back. I went in to ask advice and they were rude and very dismissive. Not a fan.

It’s a bit of a mystery to me how the Spokes stores stay open. I have stopped in to each location for years now and every time I do the interaction is very rude and off putting. Forget it, if you just have a question or two about bikes, shoes, or clothing. If your not buying there is no help. If you fit the $$$ profile I’m sure you’ll get what you need.

Really helped me out, just needed assistance with hammering something that was not correctly made by the manufacturer. I was in a bind in route to give the bike as a gift and they helped me no questions asked.Good people still exist.Very thankful.

Fixed spoke same day and flat on tubeless tire the next. Reasonable price for both.

Never been to any bike place before to get a bike fixed. So I was a little nervous coming in. I called before i came in asking them they can fix my tire since there was a hole in it. He said he could fix it. And that’s exactly what he did today. Very friendly staff. This place is also clean too. The service was really fast. I would recommend anyone to come here. You won’t be disappointed. Bike tires are as good as new :)

I had a absolutely wonderful experience with this shop! After calling several bike shops, they had exactly the item I needed in stock. The gentleman that helped me not only worked to get me the best price on the item I was looking for but took the time to demo the product on my own bike, offer tips and advice and adjust my bike to better suit my height. He was extremely helpful and friendly! Highly recommend this shop :)

Brought my sons old bicycle for a basic tune-up. Spokes is conveniently located on Washington Street. The customer service was excellent: courteous, proficient and honest. There was no hard sell, just knowledgeable and friendly advice. I especially enjoyed talking to the owner. The young man who worked on the bicycle was exceptionally polite. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.

Had a terrible experience with a really rude man who works here. They don’t pick up e phone so we couldn’t check they’re availability/services over the phone. When I got there he ignored my friend and I for 10 minutes, then was dismissive and would answer questions with “what do you think?”. I drive 40 minutes to Bridgeport to blue city cycles because I’d rather give my business to people who deserve it.

For both kids bikes here. It was time for bigger kid bikes. Super helpful and knowledgeable. Even yesterday when they had to limit the # of customers in at once due to COVID, they were awesome.

I ordered a bike online and went to pick it up, and was greeted kindly, informed on the bike, and measured for the seat height. The owner/ manager asked if I needed help getting the bike to my car but being the stubborn person I am I said no thank you. I really thought this bike would fit in my car, but after struggling for a good 10 minutes I finally realized it was a lost cause. An employee saw me struggling and came out to the parking lot to ask if I needed help. I admitted defeat and he was so patient and kind (and non-judgmental) as he showed me how to remove the wheel step by step and helped me fit the bike in my car. I thought Spokes was just an ordinary bike shop, but they are willing go above and beyond for you even after they’ve done their job. I highly recommend this shop, great service and kind people!!

I have been going to Spokes since I was 12 years old, 28 years ago, and got my first Mountain Bike, Blue Trek 830, for my birthday. The owner Basil has become a friend of mine and I have purchased 8 bikes over the years and am now buying bikes for my children. I always recommend my friends by a bike from a shop and have a relationship with the owner and mechanics. If you have repair issues, warranty issues, or need guidance you cant beat have a relationship with the guys at the shop. Strongly recommend.

I went in there with a popped tube and puncured tire. I came out with a new tube in 15 minutes! These guys and gals are awesome and great at what they do. Even while on the phone they were very respectful and helpful. They are my favorite and go to bike shop.

A cool friendly place right when we walked in the store. Love how all the bikes, mostly Specialized and Giant are closely lined up. Great customer service. By far the best local bike shop around. I met Basil over 20 years ago. Me and 1-2 friends would stop at the shop once every couple weeks to see what was new when we were out riding around. He’d let us hang out and BS them and test ride new bikes. Always took the time to answer every question we asked.

Id give Spokes 0 stars if I could. I never even got my bike into the shop, the guy was so unbelievably rude on the phone I wouldnt give them my business, even if they paid me! If asking the simple questionDo you fix bikes? is too much of an inconvenience to answer, Im happy to go somewhere else.

Just came free m this shop and the owner was so terribly rude. I brought my bike to see if there was anything wrong with it, and he just said well we’re not fixing bikes, we’re only fixing flats. Then he asked if I had a flat and before I could answer (and this is all with me standing outside) he said just put some air in it. He could’ve offered to put some air in it, but didn’t! Then when I asked if I could come in and view other bikes ( since I called first, I knew due to Covid, they were letting people in with masks), he acted as if he didn’t want to let me in the store! He barely moved out of the doorway saying, yeah, well we don’t have much. Then why are you open? I WILL NOT BE BACK!!!!!!!

Fantastic, the only word I can describe this shop and its management. Very easy going and decent folks. Nice bike and accessories selection and if its not in shop they get it in within a couple of days.They have an awesome no drop group ride on Sundays(35 to 50+ miles).They help you become a cyclist. Riders are all ages so you never feel out of place and get to meet very nice people and make great friends. You cant go wrong here!Nader

Extremely satisfied with their customer service. Basil was great to work with in purchasing new bikes. He took his time with us, educated us, and walked us through installing a bike rack onto our car. Definitely recommend this shop for anyone interested in buying a bike or accessories. Especially for higher-end bikes and parts, these guys really know their stuff. They provide solid advice on fit and kit to get you what you need, regardless of what type of riding you do. Kyle in particular is very knowledgeable and helpful. Even though I used to be a bike mechanic myself, this is where I go for trusted service when I get in over my head.

I was shopping around for a bicycle rack for the trunk of my car, and when I spoke with the store manager via phone - he was very polite, said he had 2-bike & 3-bike racks in stock. I visited the store next day, where he didnt pressure me into buying any particular product - he explained the details of each and I made my choice. Then he went so far as to install the rack onto my car and show me how to use it! Incredible customer service. And very friendly and polite!!

I just bought a mountain bike without knowing much about riding. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuine. Definitely recommend this shop if you want to be treated right.

Ive been there many times now, looking for accessories and found exactly what I was looking for. I once got immediate service on a broken spoke and I did not even expect that! Owner and staff were nice and knowledgeable. I recently bought a nice full suspension MTB that I love. Fits and rides exactly right for my purpose!

Dropped off my daughters bike yesterday (5-28) around 7pm. The gentleman looked at it, told me it would be a few days until I got it back. Fast forward to 12:00pm (5-28) I received a text telling me it was ready for pickup.This is the third bike shop Ive dealt with since moving here. I should have come here all along.

Basil is the best very awesome answers every question took his time with us as we are new to riding. May i also add we have a bike shop 1 mile from our home yet spokes was our place. And a huge shout out to mustache man the mechanic who even stayed after closing to make sure our bikes were all ready. Ive been in this store a few times now. Every Time, I was completely ignored. When I asked the person at the counter, questions were answered with simple answers that provided no solution, nor was an offer made to find one. It is unfortunately my closes shop, but Ill have to go elsewhere.

Just bought my wife a bike from Spokes. Basil was very helpful. They assembled a bike in 30 minutes or so for my wife to try. The store is clean with a large selection. I recommend shopping here.

This place is the best! I’m from out of town so never been to Spokes. One person in our threesome got flat tire biking to the river trail... long story short, after trying to swap the tube ourselves unsuccessfully, we brought the bike in and they replaced the tube and fixed it free of charge!! We were able to continue our ride to downtown Naperville to grab a beer at Frankie’s Blue room rooftop. Also 5 stars! The staff is super friendly. But back to Spokes, everyone in Naperville, please shop at Spokes. Such nice people.

I just bought my first road bike at the Naperville Spokes store and I couldnt be more satisfied. They have a wide rage of bicycles and very knowledgeable staff. They recommended me a bike and Im so happy that I went there. I highly recommend this store they know what they are doing and they have excellent and nice staff who can help you with anything you need when it comes to bicycles. Thanks guys for the bike!

Avoid this place at all costs! The sales clerk was rude, dismissive, and appeared angered that my wife and I even entered the store. We are Latino, and whether that had anything to do with our treatment or not,well never know... because we will never return.

In 07 or 08 I was in Spokes, I had to leave in a hurry but dropped my wallet with a few hundred dollars in it. Before I realized it was missing, the owner had already sent a letter to my house letting me know he had it. Im not a frequent customer but I would recommend this store.

Today I had visited Spokes in Naperville to have my bike fixed as it had a flat tire. While being there I had a very bad experience, the Owner/manager of shop seems to be rude and pathetic man.He also over charged me for fixing flat tire, price on his list was $12, and without taking my consent he changed the tube and charged me $22.While other guy was fixing my bike this guy kept talking how bad my bike was (which runs perfectly, beside flat tire which I was there to fix) He also mentioned I need to throw it in the garbage. I saw a lot of stuff at his store which needs to be thrown in the garbage .I will never go back to his shop, if you go there, be prepared for bad customer service.

As a new person to the sport, I went to this store to simply gage prices and sizes for a road bike. When greeted by the man behind the desk (im assuming the manager/owner) he was rude, gave short responses, and talked down to me as if I was interrupting his day. I stated multiple times I simply wanted to see different sizes as I am 6’6” and was looking to purchase my 1st road bike. He then told me he can’t help me “unless I know what I’m looking for.” Needless to say, all of my bike business will be brought elsewhere.

Walked out, sales person insisted on insulting competitive brands and pushed a bike lower in spec than I wanted, most likely to push up his profit margine. Specialized makes great bikes, and I will visit another dealer who is interested in finding what I need to try one out.

Spokes has great mechanics who really love to ride and can work wonders with any kind of rig. Cant speak to the purchasing process here, but their mechanics are top notch.

I got into the sport of cycling seven months ago when I started training for triathlons. I came to Spokes Naperville knowing that I wanted a triathlon/tt bike but with only a mediocre knowledge level when it came to cycling. I ended up purchasing my first tri/tt bike from them for several reasons. First, the personable service. I have been to spokes approximately 8-9 times in the last seven months and they always remember who I was. I came into the shop three times even before I purchased my bike and each time they remembered me. 2. When purchasing my bike they took into account my goals, training level, body type/size and price range and recommended a few different bikes all of which I was invited to try out to find the right one for me. Once I found the right bike for me, they fitted me to the bike to get my optimal comfort and power levels out of it. 3. Since purchasing the bike I have purchased triathlon specific cleats and then a new saddle. Each time I had to get my fit adjusted, which they gladly did. 4. Every time I am in there I have a new list of questions I found out through reading sport specific books and magazines that they gladly take the time to answer from their personal experience/knowledge. I mentioned that I was nervous about getting a flat while out on the triathlon course since I have never dealt with one. They took me back into the service area and showed me how to change a flat on both the front and rear wheels!! How cool?!I literally can not say enough great things about this shop. Spokes has a great staff who provide both knowledgeable and personal service. They have been nothing but help since I have joined the sport of cycling. They create community in the sport, hosting group rides as well. I drive an hour north to get to the shop due to the many reasons I listed above. Stop by and I am sure you will feel the same.
