They had a lot of books, duh but mostly used or older books. For the price, some of the soft cover books were a bit pricey. The building interior is old fashion and they didnt have many just released books. Good for someone older but not for people in their teens or early twenties.

They have stuff for everyone. They have stationary, board games, puzzles, mugs, novelty items, video games, etc.The people that work there are amazing. There was one time that I asked a question and then the man asked me questions about what types of video games I like to play. One of the games he suggested is now one of my favorite games to play.

Had the vibe of a library until Led Zeppelin played through the store speakers. Great displays and plenty of options.

They have a great selection of books and I can usually find what I want. Ive sold most of my books at this store and Im happy with the results. And theyll donate books they dont buy which is a bonus so you dont have to!

They only gave me $11 for ten books but I guess thats what I get for having bad taste in literature. They had a really good deal on a switch though, hopefully someone can enjoy it!!

Sold a lot of old books and DVDs to them. The process was super easy, it took them under an hour for them to go through my 6 boxes while I browsed their collection of books, vinyl, DVDs, video and board games.

Great place to find a lost treasure. Service is great and fun. They have multiple media records, comics, books, games and, of course books. I just found out they buy used books and music.

Its a great place to get it reasonably priced books unfortunately they dont have everything that youre always looking for but thats to be expected considering the fact that you are going to a resale shop

I love the chance to buy second hand books here. Prices are very low and quality is very high. They do have new books too and the prices on those are very competitive. I love all the quirky (nonbook) items around the store too. Dont miss the collectables behind the counter. Also, if you have time to look through the clearance CDs you can always find a gem for $1 or $2.

This is a great location. They have quite a huge selection of books. I have and will continue to purchase books from this location. I am giving it four stars as I feel some of the books are way overpriced. They literally halve the suggested retail price, listed on the book, as the sale price. I purchase loads of used books. When I need a day out, I head to this location. When I want a used book and can wait a few days to receive it, I check out on-line options. Many great used book vendors on-line. If you like to read, this is a great location to buy used books.

This place is amazing. I literally could spend hours in here looking at everything. They gave a huge collection of books, board games, graphic novels, comics and so much more. And if you have a huge book order in mind,they will put together your order for you so you can get in and out of there in no time. Will be going back again

If you are looking for a place that sells mostly used books, games, video games, comic books, cds, records, etc, this is the place. I could spend hours browsing here. There is a good deal of newer books that are lightly used, so if youre looking for a book that came out 2 months ago, I would check here. They also have a nice selection of vinyl and comic books.The setup is exactly like any new bookstore that you would find. They have sections on every subject and everyone I spoke to was awesome.

Always a blessing to stop by half priced books. Not only is it affordable, but the environment is calm and cool, allowing you to drift into the story you read or just get a chance to breathe. The employees arw warm and welcoming. I will always find my way back.

A BOOK LOVERS DREAM! Largest selection of SciFi/Fantasy Ive seen at a used books store. They didnt have exactly what I wanted, but I found some hidden gems from my childhood. I only wish I lived closer so I could go more often.

We have loved half price books for years. Their service is great, the people there love books and music. The selection is huge and the prices are low. This is a local bookstore gem.

While resale bookstores inventory is dependent on the community selling back their books, Half Price Books does a nice job selecting and putting out for sale books that are in really good shape and of interest.Personally, Im a comic book/graphic novel fan and always find good quality selections every time I visit, sometimes within the same week.

I didnt have a chance to check out the store because there was an author with his books right at the front door. That was a great experience and the books I bought he signed but I really cant rate the store in terms of price, layout, etc. I will certainly go back.

I always find something to buy when I come in here. Awesome selection at great prices.The staff is always friendly and greets me as I come in. The people working the floor have always been helpful.The other day I experienced them handle a situation with an unruly customer who decided to remove his mask. The woman working the checkout politely requested the customer put his mask back on a few times, as he was not complying; he even got verbally aggressive with her. She ended up calling over a co-worker to assist and they dealt with the situation. I felt like they did a great job diffusing this situation with the rude and irrational customer.Will definitely continue to shop here.

Good prices and good items

Still one of my absolute favorite places to buy books, amazing employees and really good deals. It can be hard to find the exact book you want but its almost always worth it.

Who doesnt love an old fashioned book store? They dont give much for your old books and things but at least you can share with others. My hope is that they begin to pay out more for what we used to treasure

Pros:Its a nice used book 📚 store. We read about 360 books a year.Cons: I usually take the books to Goodwill for charitable donations.Tried the half and price buy back books offer for the 1st time. Brought in almost 30 books. Most published less than 24 months old. I bought a slice of 🍕 with the whooping $8.47 .woo hoo. .25 per book.All in all. A really good company and the service they provide. Thanks...

Incredibly disappointing! I took 2 boxes of like new hard back books and they offered $10. It wasn’t even worth the gas to drive there! I won’t take anything else to them. Donating to a non profit is a MUCH MUCH better option!!!!

Half Price Books is not the government. I was asked to leave because I would not wear a mask. I even shared with them that I have a medical condition of being asthmatic which I do not need to disclose because medical history is protected under HIPPA laws that due exist to protect your rights. Refusing service to a customer with a legit medical condition is very illegal. Know how things really work before you consent to nonsense. I will no longer shop here.

This store is always fun to go to! i love to get manga from here :) they are always very nicely priced, and even though some of the books might have wear and tear, they are still readable. go there when you have time, you won’t be disappointed! ☺️

I rarely go to this location any more. The prices on their comics are higher than overpriced comic book specialty shops. They clearly dont understand pricing by grading for a place that wants to operate like a comic shop either. The clearance graphic novels are priced great though for the most part.The board game selection is usually solid, but again sometimes overpriced. This is my main reason I still stop in sometimes.Video games are cheaper at Disc Replay and generally in better condition with a far better selection.For a discount book store, they try to take advantage of sub-culture collectors. I find better prices on eBay than they charge for uncommon/special items.

I went here on a whim while in from out of town and came out pleasantly surprised. There is such a great collection of comic books and graphic novels (including some great ones on clearance!), a wide variety of genres, and even a selection of video games and consoles. Its a complete one-stop-shop, for sure. The prices on all of the books, both new and used, were extremely fair and the used books were all in moderate to great condition. I definitely plan on going back the next time Im in town visiting family.

This is one of my favorite places to shop. Staff is always friendly and helpful and the selection rotates often. A great spot to look for unique books that youre not going to find at bigger chains as easily. This location is smaller than some of the others, but that doesnt take away from the fun atmosphere. They have books, DVDs, games, and video games both new and old. Fantastic place to stop in and find a new favorite.

I can find needed books for my high school aged daughter as well as books I am interested in and all at very reasonable prices.

No matter what you like to collect or browse for, this store will most likely have it. The only downside is prices for their collection of video games are sometimes way higher than average asking prices online or even at retail stores.However, I love their sales, atmosphere and overall selection otherwise. From books, vinyls, graphic novels and even board games, they have some something for everyone.Always a place to stop by when visiting this area (like when visiting the AMC movie theater!) High recommendation and will continue to visit for years to come!

I found this place because I was trying to find some cassette tapes, and somebody recommended half Price books. I was surprised at how bright and clean the store was. usually used book stores are kind of dingy but they had a great selection and lots of cassette tapes to choose from, they also had a great vinyl collection. The selection of books is on par with Barnes & Noble but much cheaper. Im going to remember to check here first before I pay full price at b&n

I love these stores and I only get to come about once a year while I visit family. We drove 30 minutes to go in Naperville. We get there and the store is closed for browsing! Only curbside pickup available. Its disappointing to have our time and gas wasted! I would recommend checking it out if you get the chance because it still has a great selection with good prices.

Went in to sell some old college textbooks that were just collecting dust, got a pretty good offer for them. Employees were very welcoming and also very helpful.

They have a nice selection of used books. I found that in their Christian literature, there was a nice selection to appeal to the evangelical as well as protestants and Catholics. There are lots of used games, although, not all are family friendly. Staff is generally v. friendly and helpful. It seems to be a well stocked and well run used items store.

Way nicer than expected. They carry new and used books, along with toys, games, and other items. Very clean and organized as well. Only thing lacking is the amount of seating, which is very sparse. Definitely worth a look though; you wont be disappointed.
