Best customer service experience I have ever had. Bradley was very knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. Bradley walked me through each step to diagnosing my electrical issue and, via phone and text, accurately determined the likely cause. My issue was resolved and saved me the cost of an electrician.
We purchased a Gem Remotes control box for our boat lift and never had a problem with it. I was pretty sure I had an electrical issue on my end and not the control box. Bradley was phenomenal and took the time to help me diagnose it for about an hour over the phone. Service you cant get these days but Bradley proved its still possible. I would give them 10 stars if I could!!!!
I called their Tech Service at Gem Remotes as I had a problem with the lift not rising but going down only. Brad the tech I spoke to was very knowledgeable and helpful and took me through the steps to repair my microswitches and reset the up limit and bottom limit switches. Very professional and courteous!
Outstanding customer service! Bradley was incredibly helpful in walking me through the final set-up of my Gem Remote upgrade. He went the extra mile to review all the wiring in my 4 lift motor Gem control box. Some of the wiring was not standard from the prior owner and Bradley was able to quickly identify the changes that I needed to make to complete the install. Excellent service and great product.
Great experience with a great product. I have Gem Controllers on three boat lifts. They work and have been very reliable over the years. i recently called to order parts for a controller I bought several years ago and never installed. The representative was very professional and quickly was able to identify the part I needed. I had my part two days later. Thank you!!!
Following tropical storm Eta, my boat lift stopped working. I called Gem Remotes technical support and they told me immediately how to identify the problem and troubleshoot it. There were a couple of issues, none actually with their unit, and each time I called they identified the problem in seconds. It was the most pleasant technical support experience I have ever had.
The team at Gem Remotes provided very helpful tech support over the phone and when we diagnosed a board failure, they shipped out a replacement the same day and overnighted it to us. Our boat lift was working again in less than 24 hours. Thank you all so much!!!!
Bradley was amazing on tech support today! Our lift remote stopped working and after months of hurtling ourselves from the boat onto the dock, I made the decision to call into technical support, after trying all of the techniques online etc.Bradley, who was the only technician on duty and had loads of calls waiting, took his time and calmly walked me through resetting the remote… All while not getting electrocuted : ) THANK YOU

After having an issue with our remote fob, We were able to contact a technician easily over the phone. He offered suggestions to test the remote, that testing indicated a software update might be needed. Before making that investment he encouraged me to come in to test the fob.We are located in the area and went in for the test. Tech BRADLEY tested the fobs and confirmed an upgrade was necessary. The replacement was purchased at what I felt was a reasonable cost. Bradley reviewed the install procedure and gave us a phone access number to contact him should we need additional support.Susan at the front desk was a pleasure and created a very pleasant atmosphere that set the tone from the minute we entered the lobby. That up beat helpful demeanor was exhibited by Bradley as well. Overall a very positive experience.
I went in with a really small job --- one that wasnt going to be a lot of money, so I was pretty certain that no company would want to give me the time of day. Gem Remotes surprised me in a great way. The clerk and owner of the business promptly attended to me with excellent attention to detail. I bought a house that came with one of their remotes for an old lift. Fred was very helpful troubleshooting on the phone with me...educating, and they were able to send a remote transmitter for what I believe to be a 10 year old system. Works great.

Warranty claims will be denied! I purchased two GEM control box less than a year ago and the auto-stop portion of the circuit board looked like it overheated. The owner, Richard, first explained that it appears not to have been installed properly b/c it only used 5 volts, which would not cause the small portion of the circuit board to overheat. Richard changed his story after I informed him the installer was someone his company recommended. He then agreed to call the electrician to discuss. Afterwards, now the company says the damage was caused by an act of God (e.g. lightening). Weird the unit still worked other than auto-stop and the other lift unit was never impacted. I have a different electrician reviewing the photos taken before submitting damaged unit back to GEM. More to come....

We’ve had a Gem remote on our lift for over 20 years. It has stood the test of time and has worked flawlessly! We recently upgraded the unit. The customer service was great !! I look forward to another 20 years of flawless operation. I highly recommend this company and their product !
Our 10 year old lift controls started to work intermittently. Called Gem Remotes at 4:15pm and Francis showed up an hour later. Exchanged the controller board ($25) and life is good again. I can recommend this company without reservations.

I have four commercial boat lifts. Two of the gem remotes needed limit switches installed. Electrician installed them and they worked fine but the auto stops were not working - the on/down button had to be continuously held up or down. Electrician said units were old and recommended replacing both - at over $400.00 each not including installation. I contacted GEM remote with the intention of sending them the units for repair in lieu of buying new replacement units. The tech at GEM said that before I pulled the units, pull the front panel and then call them back so they could walk me through a couple test procedures. As soon as I pulled the front panel the problem was OBVIOUS. The connecter to the auto stop was DISCONECTED. I put the connector back on the auto stop and it worked just fine. Hmmm, wonder why the electrician didnt see THAT. Another lift had a newer GEM remote but it didnt have what was needed to hook up the limit switch. Electrician replaced this unit with a brand new unit. Everything worked as it should. Instead of letting the electrician keep the replaced unit I sent it back to GEM for reconditioning. GEM replaced the box (old box was very brittle), and installed the parts needed to make it a complete working unit. Total price $141.00. A NEW unit is $435.00 plus installation cost. For $141.00 I now have a NEW reconditioned unit that I will use as a spare should one of the 15 year old units finally bite the dust. TECH support was great in helping me diagnose two units that the auto stop wasnt working and THAT cost me nothing and THAT saved me LOTS of money. GEM remote also reconditioned a unit for FAR less than what it would cost to buy new - and - it was fixed on a Monday and I received the unit back on Tuesday. For what the TECHs at GEM Remote did for me they get a FIVE STAR rating. KUDOs GEM Remote.
Whatever you do, go with a different company! My electrician had the most horrible conversation with them today. Absolutely horrible customer service. Save yourself the headache!
