I love this place, I can spend hours looking at all the variety of fabrics and not get bored. It has a large assortment, apart from the treatment and professionalism with which they serve you. The mask is required to enter. There are also staff who speak Spanish.By the way I went to this place looking for fabric to repair the chairs of my dining room, I found a very nice fabric, at very good price, I fixed them myself.

Very friendly people. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted and offered help. The warehouse is fully stocked and had everything I needed. The prices were within my budget.

This place is great! They have an extensive selection of upholstery materials and can craft together pretty much anything you can throw at them. We had a cushion custom-made for a rustic wooden Mexican couch that we bought in Rosarito. The end result looks like it cost hundred of dollars more than we paid. Well done!

I love this place! The fabric selection is amazing, they have horizontal rolling racks so it is much easier to get to the fabric and see it. They also have an upholstery center with great prices. Highly recommend UFO

Oh my goodness this place has it all when it come to uhspostry filing, foam in many depths of thickness and oh my goodness, there is no limit to the different style, color, thickness and width of fabric. Not to forget all type accessories from zippers cut to fit whatever youre making. Oh yes, they can do all the cutting and sewing; just bring in a template or exact measurement.

Huge selection. Creative juices got flowing and the employee was very helpfull

UFO used to have a wide variety of fabric on the bolt - everything from chintzes to damasks, tafettas, velvets and tapestries. Now, the bulk of their fabrics in-house are rather gaudy tapestries, no chintzes or tafettas, and few velvets. They now have a wall full of samples from which you can order. The samples are approx 6 square, which isnt sufficient to show you how something will look, especially with a large repeating pattern. Aside from buying some tasseled fringe or a pillow form there, I doubt Ill go again.

We originally purchased foam from UFO for a mattress that worked great for 9 years. Last year we decided to replace it, but they switched foam suppliers. They charged more and the foam deteriorated in 9 months. We asked about any warranty and they said sorry, but would be happy to charge us another 450$ for the same crappy foam. So we did some research and bought a new mattress from Foam By Mail. They have a warranty on their products, free shipping, and cost several hundred dollars less.

We came into UFO National City this morning to find a special tassel and cord to replace a fraying original on an historic, one hundred years old, silk banner. While we were not able to put together a replacement, I wanted to go online and thank one of UFOs employees, Alberto, for his time and amazing knowledge in trying to create a replacement. We really appreciated all his help and his desire to provide outstanding customer service. Thanks UFO.

This place needs more modern patterns

I love this place. Unfortunately due to the lack of competition, their prices have gone up consistently and it has become a really pricey alternative. However, if you cant find what you are looking for in there, youll have a hard time trying to get it elsewhere.

I visited the San Marcos location ready to buy fabric to reupholster our many pieces in our family room. No one approached me which was fine so I looked around and found several possible fabrics. I asked for help and a young employee approached me with hesitation. I then started to ask details about the fabric such as how to clean, durability, suitability for pillows, sofas, drapery and he had no idea. THERE WERE NO DESIGN CONSULTANTS ON THE PREMISES. This surprised me as such a missed sales opportunity for their company. I left and went to Calico Corners where I received great service from an informed and knowledgeable employee.

There are alot of fabrics to choose from. A bit pricey. And the they wanted way to much to have them make a slip cover for my sofa. They wanted $1000 just for the labor and another $300 for fabric. Its a large place but you will pay a large price as well. The place has no a/c and was extremely hot and humid inside. Could only walk around and look at fabrics for 10 min at a time, then had to go back outside.

Love this place. So many fabrics and more you can special order. They can do the upholstery for you also.

My wife and I planed to have the interior of our 87 Porsche 944, Dash board, center council, doors, and carpet, and seats redone. We heard of UFO as a place with a lot of vinyls at a good price. On our first visit to UFO we realized Its a Wal-Mart of indoor to outdoor materials and spreads of leather, carpet indoor and outdoor. If you are thinking of Re-upholstery for your furniture (indoor or outdoor), automobile, boat, plane, you need to stop here before you start to do anything. We have re-done the vinyl dashboard, and center council ourselves, working on the door panels, and now thinking we can get carpeting from there for the car. Take the time to look, even if you get the material there and take it to where you want the work done. They have great work displayed from their upholstery shop right there in the next part of the building. They have the stuff and they know what they are doing.
