I always love the quality and variety of fabrics here. For the last 20+ years Ive been buying fabric and notions. Great customer service. Im so sad theyre closing. If I had the money Ill buy it. JOANNS is not near to the quality and service. Now where are we going to get fabric like this? Online? not the same, I like to feel the texture of fabric before I purchase. Its a huge loss for San Diego. π₯Ίπ₯Ίπ₯Ί
This was my very first time visiting this place and I was surprised to see the amount of space that there is to the amount of products that they carry, it looks almost empty, with ladies helping customers cutting down the garments and pay for it but there was nobody on the floor to help explaining the procedure to cut the product from the roll and take it to the front or carry the whole garment roll to the front and let them cut out for you.The were quite helpful, but the best thing that they are having a 75% off the advertised price.
Staff was nice. Good prices since they were going out of business. Feels Kmart-ish. Wish there was a neater and efficient way to display bolts of cloth. Some areas were neat. The discount area was disorganized. Could probably have labeled-priced-measured small pieces of cloth for easier selection.
I love this place. A wide selection of well priced fabrics. Im so sad it is closing but they are having a closing sale with everything 50% off. Thank you and you will be missed!!
Amazing!!! 60 to 75% off.. no better way to save money!!!!
Best deals .going out of business. Sad indeed.
Eerie time warp. It was impossible to see this place from the street while driving toward it. Everything was dark on all sides, the very wide store sign completely unlit, the first two doors locked with no signs saying use other door... Inside, it was like a small mom & pop shop with 15 times the square footage. I ended up getting what I needed, a very simple item, and had to sign a credit card receipt (theyre still doing paper?) and the bill of sale ess done on a carbon copy triplicate notepad... What decade are we in? So odd. The receipt says something about being in business since 1953...feels like theyre still right there where they started, and the world has gone on developing around them. Bless their hearts!
Dont recommend this location even tho theyre closing its still not worth the price cause theyll try to dramatically rip you off unless you get on there case about what the price is BEFORE they cut the fabric and on top of that they change the pricing on the spot the girl with the blue hair also try to claim we were stealing even tho they handed us the fabric seconds ago.
Yardage town is closing when all their inventoryis gone. A lot of awesome 50% off on fabric and notions, sad to see it go. God Bless you have been loyal π for years.
Great place for fabric, they are going to be closing their door in about 9 months, sad to see them closing. Show your support, shop here.
There going out of business and had a lot of good fabrics
Really fun place to go for matereal and sewing stuff and nice people work there!!!!
They always have the sewing needs at a competitive price. Sorry to see them go. Another COVID death.
Good prices and kind people
Lots of good priced material. I cant really give it a true review because I was just along the ride with my girlfriend and her friend getting material for masks and Halloween costumes.
Sorry to hear its closing π’ not because of covid, but because the new generation is not interested in keeping the family business running π
Sad to see it close!
The best selection of Fabric in San Diego. This store has everything you could ever need, and great prices!! No need to go to any other fabric store in San Diego or L.A. If you cant find what your looking for on the main floor, be sure to check out the downstairs selection.
Im honestly rating for the products they have. They have such a wide variety of cloths, although Im not an expert, most of the cloths glittered differently and felt different from one another. There was just so many things to help you with DIYs. I would recommend it honestly.
So sad to find out this store will close permanently within 6-8 months. Theres so many variety of materials, everything on sale!
Awesome place!! Staff is always nice and ready to help..I can spend hours looking at all the great stuff they have and coming up with more ideas from it...always going for one little thing and came out with more than planned for future crafting...another world on itself!!
Amazing selection. Clean store despite neighborhood. Good parking. Great bargains. Nice people too. Finally, a great fabric store I like!
Great customer service!
Huge selection. Friendly service.
This is the type of yardage store any of us would have shopped, in the day, w/mom or grandma. If they dont have it, you dont need it.Not just yardage (as in fabric) but full service.Bridal Department, Ornate Collars for fancy touch. The store even houses a full service Sewing Machine Dept.. Next time youre shopping fabric, Check them out.I think youll be pleased.BTW, Great shop for Halloween Costumes forYour children. Trust me, Would I Lie?
Nice ladys helping around
So sad they are closing I always find some interesting fabric here that I cant find anywhere else Im really going to miss them
Sad to see them closing
Theyre winding down and getting ready to permanently close. Theyre already down to about half their regular selection and wont be ordering anything else. If there is something you want, I suggest going NOW.
Love yardage town best sales good sales personal its too bad its there gonna be closing down their stores its too bad we are losing a landmark a true San Diego treasure
The selection is amazing, they have nearly everything anyone could want in material.
Ive found the customer service at this location is slightly better than the other yardage towns around the county. The ladies at the counter are a bit grumpy but will actually help you when it comes down to it. They have a great selection of fabrics and a huge basement down below with even more if you didnt find what you want up above. They carry a bunch of novelty fabrics I regularly but for cosplay. Pricing is all right, sale signs are confusing and I never know when I can use my discount card. But I still prefer going here than to Joanns.
Kinda frustrated coz most of laces are gone and dont have good quality to choose. There are only 2 employees with huge store to help customers. They can assist in a timely manner. They let you wait..We waited for two hours.Maybe additional sales assistant needed during the weekend.
Large store with tons of fabric and helpful staff. Sad theyre closing.
Mommy gets the fabrics for sale today.
Great location from home and freeways. Friendly service and great selection of fabrics not sold at Joann fabrics!
Yardage Town... If you want to make fashion skirts, they get it. If you are costuming for a play, they get it. Plenty of selection, lots of basics. But anything else, they cant wrap their minds around. This is San Diego. A lot of us sew for Comic Con! The staff didnt seem to know what renn faire was, or that there are additional convention and costume opportunities beyond SDCC.They should realize that folks of ALL ages sew... If you cater to the oldest market segment thats not a viable business plan. The prices are steep but they are now the only game in town since Fashion Fabrics on Broadway in Chula Vista closed US operation. (They are still in Ensenada). (Joanns is still in National City, #chainWithNoSelection)So, with Buffalo Breath closed & Gypsy Peddler in La Mesa closed & Fashion Fabrics closed, the options in our fine city are growing slim. Please dont close. Please open your mind to the diverse community here who loves to create....get with Maker space! Get with SDCC Museum in Balboa Park! Get with the San Diego Steampunks! Get with the multicultural groups! Get with the Society for Creative Anachronism! Get with Escondido Renaissance Faire! Get with the Star Wars costuming clubs! Get with the subcultures! Were here. We create and we need you to stay open.
Perfect place to buy all your sewing supplies, I think is the most complete fabric store in San diego
Helpful staff. Good selection.
Always love going to this place to get my fabric. They have such wide selection.
My wife always shop from here.
The worst place in the service of this store without customersthe worst place in the service of this store without customers
Absolutely love going there to see what fabrics they have and what new project I can get started with from there multitude of fabric and notions section.
All types of fabric. Buttons and yarn... Great customer service.
Staff is friendly and knowlegable. Great selection.
Best place ever!!! Not only are they nice but they have the best discounts :)Unlike the one on Broadway they are actually nice people who dont mind to help and joke around :)I really recommend it :)
Good selection of fabric and reasonable prices. Better selection of knit fabrics than Joanns fabrics.
Theres so many fabrics to choose from. They had a good clearance going on
Going out of business in March 2020, at least thats what the owner announced on television and media
Great selection and customer service. The staff knows fabrics and sewing.
This fabric store is full of different fabrics, trims and notions. I find helpful, friendly staff and all I need to make clothes and crafts.
I buy every week i love yardage town
Not much if anything is marked down more than 20%
Prices were good, but they didnt have a lot of things I wanted. So I rated it ok.
Excelente customer service
Great prices and a large variety
I had a not so great experience but lovely fabrics .... kinda expensive other wise ok place just my opinion though
This place has so many options, much more than Joanns. Quality fabrics, and a knowledgeable staff.
This place is historical in National City, but they didnt carry kente cloth; thats kind of ridiculous.
I always come here.
Poor quality and most of the stock is old.
You can find a lot of different fabrics.
Good costumer service
