I really use to love going to harbor freight shopping tell they changed everything,no more 20% off no free gift,but they want you to keep your membership but is it really worth it, I dont think so at least for me it isnt, there popularity has gotten bigger so they figure they will get rid of all the nice things that makes them so nice and enjoyable to go shop,so they can turn a dollar but I noticed people arent doing the membership anymore like that, I still enjoy going there and I know Ill always shop there until it turns into a high end store or Im not saving much if I just buy from home Depot,

Its Harbor Freight, whats not to like? I started shopping at Harbor Freight like 20 years ago. Back then there werent so many of them so it was kind of this place people hadnt heard of where I bought some of my tools. Now theyre the go to for a lot of people who dont want to drop 10k on tools from premium suppliers like Snap-on, Mac, or Matco. Their hand tools have the same lifetime warranty as all the other brands as well, so if you break one, they replace it. Go to Harbor Freight, buy tools, save money, fix stuff.

Nice, well-organized, and clean store with a good selection of certain tools that are out of stock at other stores.

Always a good trip for a quick tool or garage/house supplies at a fair price. Some stores have low stock but its understandable with the situation were all facing.

I have decent tools and they are some of the best prices my problem is when something breaks you have to get ahold of the manufacturer

My husband shops at the 23 mile and Gratiot location often. We went in this evening to purchase an air compressor and could not find it on the shelf. My husband approached one of the store personnel and told him what he was looking for and the store clerk told him we dont have any and my husband was going to ask are you getting any in and the gentleman cut him off mid sentence and stated we dont know when we are going to get any in or when as they could be on any truck at any time. Not a very customer friendly personality I would want representing my store, didnt even ask for our name and number and will give us a call when they come in. I told my husband we can take our business elsewhere because if they really wanted or needed our business, the store representative wouldnt have spoken to us like we were bothering him.

I bought 2 water transfer pumps yesterday because I wasn’t sure what one I’d need. I got home and quickly decided and today I went to return it. A gentleman checked to see if it was used as you can’t return them once they are used. He told me all looked good. I get to the register and the cashier was quite cranky with me saying it looked used and smelled like gas. I didn’t even open the box. Then she mumbled something. I was very unhappy how she was with me. It said atleast 10 times in and on the boxes you can’t return if used. And you have to call a number. If it was used I would have called and gone through the process! I did not need an attitude. I will find a different hf to shop at from now on.

Cheap but usable tools. If you are a professional and destroy your tools often or a casual user who just needs a tool and dont want to rent or borrow a tool. This is the place.

If you like being treated like a plague, make sure you wear a mask or thats how theyll act.

Love Harbor Freight, however, I dont care for the Chesterfield location. Some of the workforce do not seem friendly, and the manager seemed like a mall cop watching over you, but not asking if he could help you, even if are obviously searching for an item. No thanks on this location.

If you are going to stop here, take my advice, leave the kids at home. They will nag you and nag you and nag you to leave. And all youll want to do, is just look at everything.

When you have an entire aisle dedicated to tool boxes and roll carts in multiple different colors with several different options you should tag the boxes and carts that are out of stock so that your customers dont spend an hour deciding which Box and which color they want to find out that pretty much everything on display is out of stock and will take two weeks to get back in-stock. I dont need a tool box in two weeks I need one today and you should have let me know while I was looking at them for an hour that everything is out of stock instead of wasting my dam time! Horrible service I will never be back to this location

I bought 3 pumps for my cottage last year with the water problems. I bought the extended warranty. One pump failed. Brought it into the store and they said to call a number. They are eager to sell the warranty but not sure eager fir the return. Tried to also return something without a receipt. They said they need a receipt Even though they could find me in the system. It’s he Depot for me for now on.

I have to be honest on this review. Im already bias. I love Harbor Freight. Im typically a Craftsman guy but i have bought several tools here. Also, they carry a lot of specialty tools which is great when you are in a bind and need something quick. The staff is always pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. I love Harbor Freight and you should too.

The cashier was not paying any attention, she charged us $179.00 for a $140.00 item. We had to call it to her attention BEFORE she even looked at us. This was my first time at Harbor Freight. I did not know you had to get the free gift and bring it to the register so now I gotta go back.Oh well live and learn. The guy helping to load it was very nice.

Tools are good value for the money the home craftsman will find they are a buy. We have bought saws paint gun and many other tools, most made in China but are of good quality.

They require masks to shop there. Ill take my money to Home Depot. Isnt freedom of choice great? While I respect their decision to choose to force their customers to wear masks, I choose to shop elsewhere! #America 🇺🇸

Harbor freight is known for inexpensive tools and products, but some of the quality was questionable. The hand tools, such as wrenches and sockets, have a lifetime warranty making them a great value. And now with the addition of Bauer, Hercules, Predator and Vulcan brands provides better quality of products still at very reasonable prices.So if you havent been there in a while go check out the new inventory.

Harbor Freight Tools Advertises Items on sale that they dont have in stock. When I went to this store and question them when they expect the product to come in the cashier was rude and said we have no idea. I asked to speak to the manager and he was worst yet. I said are you getting the on sale items in before the sale ends he said he didnt know but I could have a rain check. I said you run ads without the items being available? He stated to me that they could do that as long as they offered a rain check and if I didnt like that I could call their corporate office. That is very poor customer service!

The cashier was either having a bad day or had been working there too long. She acted like i was imposing on her break time to purchase a big box item. As i gave her the ticket for the item at the register,she reacted as if i just requested her first born. Rude as can be,made me feel as if i should be apologizing for asking her to do her job. All in all after that they proceeded to give me the item in a damaged box that looked as if it had been dropped down 10 flights of stairs. I live almost an hour away from this store and only went because the item was out at my regular store. I would drive 5 hours out of my way just to avoid going to this store.

Horrible experience with harblr freight cashier. On top of having no hand sanitizer during this pandemic. she refused my refusal for change. .97 cents and instead of putting the contaminated receipt in the bag. she hands it to me anyways w contaminated undisinfected money. then shames me for not wanting to touch. im so mad now. im refusing very hard to insult the lady like sye insulted me. was shopping for my family business thats been running for 60+ years. but today you lost us as a customer. going to ace hardware from now on.

I have been a customer of harbor freight for years, I was in this store on 23 mile today and BARBARA had to give me the talk to the hand motion when I was asking her about a receipt. I explained to her that I do not deal well with that and I will not be back. I recommend the Hall road location if you are in the area. I know I will not be back to the store and would not recommend this location to anyone due to Barbara.

It will do in a bind. If you use tools daily, I wouldnt suggest harbor freight. I havent had any luck with anything used frequently. Almost every hand tool Ive purchased has broke within a few weeks of purchase, And its not worth the drive to take it back on top of working 60 hours a week. If its something your going to use alot-spend the extra money and go to home depot, or Lowes. Buy a quality brand thats going to last. If its something youll use twice and throw in a drawer, Go to harbor freight.

Customer service was rude when asking a question pertaining to policy of allowing pets in store. She answered as quickly as she hung up the phone on me. She could of asked if she could assist me with something else. Im more shocked on how shes responded.

I shop here for work every month..never tried to take back a item before..they are the only building store that has a no return policy after 90 days. And no credit exchange without receipt.. Menards can look up your receipts and will return or exchange anything for a credit.. skip this place and pay a littles more for better products and services.
