I wanted a better quality sound in my new superduty (stock is pretty weak) while keeping it looking completely factory. These guys went above and beyond on the products and the install. The switch and volume controller look like they were done on the assembly line.10 out of 10 would recommend

I am highly pissed off! I made a few calls to a few places around town inquiring about window tint for my vehicle. James was the first one to call back with an estimate and although he was not the cheapest, I still decided to go with him because I believe in the you get what you pay for theory. I dropped my car off at 9am and it was up there all day. I called at 4:45pm to check on my car as I had errands to run and didnt want to be too far out in distance when and if he called me to pick up the car. He told me hed be done by 6. He called me at 5:30pm. The conversation went like this:James:LaToya, do you want me to put a double layer of tinting the front windows?Me: uh, why? Is it not really dark?James: yes, its dark but Im asking because I have to re-tint the back window. My arms gave out on me from scraping the old tint off today. The tint wrinkled on me. When can you bring it back for me to fix?Me: ok, tomorrow.James: I have an audio system to install tomorrow, I can call you when I get back in town.Me: it would have to be in the morning because I have to get my son from school.James: if not tomorrow, what other day?Me: the next day (which is Friday)James: ok, that will work. Ill see you in a few.When my husband and I got there, James was telling me that it seemed as if some of the window tint on some windows were thinner than others. He started talking in circles about how he had so much trouble removing my back window tint and how he had to go and purchase a steamer to make the job easier. I walked to look at my tint and immediately saw discrepancies! It looked like I took my car to a shade tree shop deep in the hood and let a crack head do my tint. I could not believe my eyes. My back window tint looked a whole hell of a lot better with the old tint on it than it does with the new tint. After showing him all 5 windows where there is still parts of my old tint on it, he started saying he couldnt believe he missed that. I went to him and left my car with him, confident that hed do a kick a$$ job with my tint and Id be leaving an awesome 5 star review for his business. Unfortunately, thats not the case. Being a business owner, customer service is key! I suggested that when I bring the car back for him to re-do my tint, thats when hed get paid. I even told him Id give a copy of my drivers license, write a promissory note and I even told him I am employed with the TDCJ and he still insisted we pay the full price even though my car was not finished. He even suggested to keep my car there BUT who has time for that type of inconvenience?!?! I kept telling him how unhappy I am with the job and he suggested we pay half price. I have integrity and I am a woman of my word! Im just mind boggled as to why a professional establishment would allow a vehicle to leave incomplete and looking as ghetto as my vehicle does! I am truly, truly upset and unsatisfied with the work James did. Had I taken heed to the reviews, I may not have brought my vehicle in but I believe in taking my own chances and Im kicking myself in the butt for it now. I shouldve listened to my husband when he told me to go somewhere else especially after James leaving a message with the estimate for both a 2 door charger and a 4 door charger.... they dont even make 2 door chargers! Now, I have to be inconvenienced another whole day just because he took on a job I feel he has not a lot of experience and knowledge in. Attached are pictures... you judge for yourself! I did not trust James with my vehicle again in fear that Id be charged again for an unfinished, poor job so I took my car to CENTEX TINT, where they specialize in tinting windows. DONT come here for tinting! Youll be disappointed! Its obvious in his response, hes mad saying to not trust me all because I wrote my review on his poor work! You cant be trusted... You offered to give me a professional tint job but instead all you did was waste my time, cost me more money and gave me the worst tint job ever!

My experience with On Top Audio has been top notch from the start. James took a lot of time with me helping me figure out and understand what I needed and did not need in a stereo and camera system. His pricing was fair and its clear that hes a perfectionist who values his good name and reputation. I love the finished product and again, James took time with me to help me get acquainted with a totally new system. Will be a repeat customer for sure.

I am someone who has done his own car audio installs on my own since my first vehicle. But with my most recent car purchase, I just didn’t have the time to do it on my own this time. I decided to bring it to On Top Audio to knock it out, and man that was the best decision. The owners are incredible and worked around my hectic schedule. Even on my scheduled install day I only had a small window to work with and he made it happen. And the quality of the work is top notch as well. On a vehicle that barely has any install resources, he made a way to keep everything perfectly clean. Combine that with a very fair price, and I’m now certain I’m bringing any car audio install to here from now on!

Best customer service you could ask for. James is very knowledgeable and honest. He installed a great product for a fair and reasonable price. Went to him after getting a few estimates around town. Glad I found him. He saved me quite a bit of money! I will be going to see him for all my audio needs.

Hands down best audio shop in the area. I have jumped from shop to shop trying to find the correct parts and services but Ive always had some kind of issues at other local facilities, Ive even gotten into an argument with several other shop owners about fitment and things of that nature when it came down to box sizes. BUT! When I went to On Top Audio I was able to order all of the correct parts the first time, just the way it should be. The customer service was exceptional! I received updates on my ordered parts daily, and I was able to schedule an install the day my parts came in! James is an awesome guy and he definitely knows his stuff! I will definitely be a returning customer and I will be referring him to all my friends. 5 * for sure!

Customer for life! James came to my house to swap out a stereo deck in my boat that had sat for while. Of course there was lots of corrosion, some incorrect old wiring and a 4 channel amp with 2 channels out that James had to trouble shoot. He took it as a challenge and not only solved the problem, but utilized other amps I had lying around to make the system sound better than it ever has. Polite, helpful, nice and honest.

I took my car to On Top Audio because I had an install completed at another shop and it was simply done poorly to include cutting the seal in my back window that led to the need to replace my headliner from water damage. James went over everything with me that he was planning to do and it was finished exactly as he said. He took the time to review products with me online and helped me pick out an amp to drive my sub that was high quality, but not high price, and installed the amp after I ordered it on my own. The sub looks as close to factory as it can get as well. All things are hidden in my vehicle and there is no sign of an altered stereo unless you really look for the components. I recommend this shop to anyone who wants an honest owner, reasonable pricing, and quick installs.

IVE HEARD A SYSTEM JAMES BUILT IN THE 90S AND WAS THE BEST SOUNDING CAR. I STILL TO THIS DAY HAVENT LISTENED TO ANYTHING THAT COMES CLOSE. I LIKE OLD SCHOOL IF YOU ASK ME. THE GUY DOES IT RIGHT. I WOULD GIVE 10 STARS

James was great after shopping around for keyless entry he gave me a price that was great. Everyone I called was a little bit more but used a less expensive brand than Viper which the higher end ones recommended. Other shops tried to upsell and squeeze every penny out of you. James listened and gave me exactly what I wanted. He even went the extra mile and made the car chirp as I was hoping when it locked.Thanks James

This business owner -James Crawford is unprofessional and takes on projects he has no idea how to complete and does less than mediocre work. Customer service is definitely not high on his priority list.I took my car in to have the following items installed; stereo, amps, alarm and tint.I received a quote for work to be completed. I paid a deposit totaling half of the bill. James stated he was a viper dealer but did not have the alarm in stock. He would order it and get started when it came in.When the alarm came in I dropped off the car. Little did I know this guy would have my cars for weeks. He stated he was having problems installing the alarm. He was even asking me for advice and if I had any contacts of people that had installed this alarm on a similar car so that he could talk to them.This was my queue. After several conversations with him, I requested a full refund for the alarm and he stated he could not give me a refund because it was a special order so I was stuck with the alarm. Then he suggested that I have it installed in my wifes vehicle. I mentioned that was unacceptable as my wife had a perfectly functioning alarm in her vehicle. I purchased the alarm for this car and wanted it installed in this car not any other car. He also suggested I install it in my new Toyota Tundra. I told him that was not what we agreed to and that he had assured me he could install the alarm in the car when we first agreed to the terms. Once again this was not unacceptable. I once again mentioned to him, I didnt have a need for the alarm if it wasnt for the original car per the terms of our original agreement.The other problem with this guy was that he does not think before he starts a project. For example, he had to redo my tint several times because his shop bay was so dusty with saw dust that it was trapped in my tint film. Despite two attempts, the tint was not done correctly therefore I still need to have this redone which is why I chose not to go back to him. I always give people the benefit of the doubt but after two failed attempts and an alarm he couldnt install, I was worried about the outcome of the tint yet again.Next, the stereo he installed has a problem with the volume going in and out intermittently. I mentioned this to him and he stated Why do you listen to the radio so much? You should have a usb drive and listen to music that way. Honestly? Is that how you handle an issue. By this point, I was not comfortable with him touching my expensive vehicle again. You dont handle a situation like this by telling your customer you shouldnt listen to the radio.Lastly, he said he could paint some of my dashboard buttons with his air brush. Well, again he did this while my car was still in the same bay he was painting in. The buttons bubbled and I had to send them off to have them professionally re-finished which then cost me extra. He never settled that issue either.Beware! Stay away from this shop. They are complete NOVICES! They cant handle anything more complex than a simple radio install. Do not take your expensive vehicles there!

I had my aftermarket alarm system removed from my Chevy Tahoe as it was malfunctioning, locking me out of my vehicle, and flashing my lights while driving. As you can imagine, I appreciated the quick, same day service On Top Audio provided on removing it! Thank you!
