In the ever evolving journey to express whatever it is within me I find trying out new tools and such expands my horizons - thats why I stop in here every time I know Im ready to add supplies to the arsenal. I always grab 30 seemingly disparate things and to my surprise find the price very affordable. The staff is extremely polite and always helpful which I appreciate when they take the time to assist me.They also offer discounts to students and professors I believe - so if you are, starving artists, dont be afraid to let them know!

I loved the store. There are many unique oddities along with art supplies. I needed acrylic paints and there was a nice assortment of colors. I needed some wood canvases and found what I was looking for.The two young men working in the store were very helpful. My experience was very good and I will return there. Their prices are very competitive with Amazon and it was very nice to go there in person to be able to touch and see the items in person. With Covid numbers beginning to go down it was nice to get out of the house and walk around a unique store.

They have pretty much everything here for arts and crafts supply. Ive found everything I need within a few minutes. The staff makes sure you know help is available, and they all know their stuff. I wish there was one closer to me, but its worth the trip to make sure I get everything in one stop.

This is my go to art store I have been going there since it has opened. The prices are amazing especially for students who get the discount. I enjoy the wide variety of art supplies, the labeling of sections, and the reliable customer service. When I’ve had problems with some materials, the staff has always been helpful with their opinions, and remember majority of them are Visual Artists. This art store has everything to fulfill my artistic dreams.

Cheapest prices in town, friendly staff, and great organization. Theres also a student discount you can ask for that is a great help. They also have a service where you can send your syllabus in, and they do all the art class shopping for you. Very helpful.

I had to take 2 stars off because I don’t like how every single employee says “Hi can I help you?” Like how many times do I have to say no to you people? do you really think your other three co-workers haven’t asked me for help by now? Everyone knows that creative types tend to be eccentric, and my personal eccentricity is that I’m irritated by redundancy, if you’ll believe that. So I had to take 2 stars off because I don’t like how every single employee says “Hi can I help you?”

I love this place, best spot to get screen printing supplies and all of the staff Ive met here have been really friendly and helpful. Frequent sales. Its an awesome spot to buy interesting gifts as well. Sometimes I find the layout a little confusing, but it hasnt been a problem since there is always a nearby employee to help point me in the right direction. A+ would geek around in again.

Im not an artist, but they have a truly amazing selection of notebooks, and theyve started carrying fountain pens and ink.

My husband and I stumbled upon here when walking around New Haven and instantly loved it here! As artists ourselves, we felt ashamed we hadnt known about it sooner! It has everything and anything you could want as an artist! Oil paints, spray paints, watercolors, color pencils, note books, sketchbooks, canvas of any size, AND ALL IN LARGE QUANTITIES!! And the prices arent bad either! I usually go to a local Michaels for some stuff and I feel like Ive been robbed because this place has some of the stuff I get from Michaels and stuff I wish Michaels carried and/or cheaper!

Check it out! Good for serious artists, crafters, people who like to color (astounding array of pens), unique jigsaw puzzles, unusual toys...they even had an Edward Gorey coloring book.

The storefront is unassuming, but this store is amazing. I am so sorry for not stopping in long ago! This shop is well-sticked with everything you need to make art — from paints and canvas to popsicle sticks for craft projects with little ones: jewelry findings, magic markers, drawing pads, stickers, kits…If you can think of it, it is probably there. Also puzzles, games, gifts, and high-end greeting cards. Friendly staff is really to guide you to what you need or to leave you alone if you wish to browse. Prices are very reasonable. If you are in downtown New Haven you have to check this place out!

Although this store has a great variety of items, the prices are really terrible. Some items are two or even three TIMES the price theyre normally sold at by comparable stores. Just one example that pops into my head, Faber-Castell artist Pitt Brush pens, I got them for $10, at this store theyre close to $18. And although the staff are friendly enough, most arent really knowledgable about the items theyre selling- so be sure you know what you want and bring three times the amount of money you think the item will cost if your going to buy your art supplies here. Or try Hulls up the street, theyre 1/3 the size of Artist and Craftsman, but theyve got decent prices and are very knowledgable about everything they sell.
