Best craft beer selection in East Rock. Wine selection good but not as great as Wine Thief. Liquor selection has the brands youve heard of. Prices are quite a bit higher than grocery stores, but its walkable. Staff is really friendly and makes recommendations but arent encyclopedias.

Amazing place to buy beers. They have so much of excellent variety of IPAs.

I visited The New Bottle Shop to pick out some micro brews for my co-workers. They have an excellent selection of wines, interesting beer, and other bottles to try. Service staff was helpful and store is laid out in a way that makes sense. Anyone looking for a local package store in fair haven/new haven area should stop in.

We love the Bottle Shop! The prices are reasonable, and the selection is great. The staff there is always so friendly and helpful . They even set aside boxes for me when I said I was moving out of town. They ensure that their store is a delightful and warm neighborhood institution. We wish them the very best!

This guy was spot on. Lots of great beer, wine & spirits. He didnt have my wine but his suggestion was so awesome I went back & bought a case to bring home. His beer expertise was also amazing.

My one star is given strictly for the employees attitude I got today.I was driving on Orange St. around 12:30 pm and the wine delivery truck was parked in front of the store blocking the only lane which has caused a significant jam. I almost got hit trying to go around the wrong way. The amusing thing is that theres a parking lot where the truck could have parked.I walked in and asked an employee to, please, make sure that the next time a truck would not block the traffic otherwise I would call the traffic police. I looked upset. He answered: OK, call!. A well trained and kind person would have said: Sorry for the inconvenience . Thats the story.

Was driving by and somewhat thirsty .Stopped in to pickup a water or iced tea and could not believe how nice thisowner was. Everyone in the parking lot agreed with me when I said this place has incredible customer service .A + and Five Stars

The East Rock area has a few small bottle shops similar to this one. In my experience, the New Bottle Shop has the best prices, friendliest staff, and best craft beer selection.
