Im here for a starter replacement and witnessing an engine swap 2 different trucks this week which is proof of their quality work . I never changed repair shops after I met them 15 years ago and staying till the end of time.

I DICIDED TO CHANGE MY ENGINE AND HAVE PAUL DO THE WORK WHO RECOMMENDED TO SEAL ALL OF THE GASKETS PLUS NEW COMPUTER OPERATED SENSORS ETC. THE MAIN REASON I CHOSE HIM IS BECAUSE OF HIS HONESTY AND QUALITY OF WORK. AFTER THE JOB WAS COMPLETED MY CAR FEELS LIKE IT JUST LEFT THE DEALERSHIP. 💯I HAVE NOTICED SOME OF THE REVIEWS I REMEMBER FROM THE PAST, THEIR DATES WERE CHANGED I DONT KNOW WHY, BUT I STRONGLY RECOMMEND HIM IF YOU WANT THE JOB DONE RIGHT. 💯🇺🇲👏👏

Glad I took my car here! Paul was personable and efficient- he gave honest advice about what needed to be done. The location is convenient from my workplace and I was able to drop off my car in the morning then pick it up after my shift. Prices were fair and Paul was communicative throughout the process. Paul is a straight shooter, decent honest guy who does professional work and promptly as well.

Great service. I was in and out in no time. Paul is amazing.

Went in there for him to weld an o2 sensor on exhaust. For those unfamiliar it’s about the size of a quarter and there no manual labor or anything difficult just know how to use a welder and cost about 200$. Got the job at least.

I found Nut Just Lube Auto Shop about year ago and the service has been impeccable from the very first visit that it has become my go to car repair shop for all my car needs including inspection.For a better perspective, I have a 2009 car so I often have the normal wear and tear repairs that come up every quarter and Paul & his team always provide first class service.I have recommended friends already and they love it!

I was driving from CT when my oil light came on. I found this place and right away the owner took my car in and assured me he would get me back on the road safely. The shop even stayed open late to work on my car! There are still good people in the world and you can find some of them here!

Though can spot the difference in unbeatable value with people that know how to work with people.I’m at a mix of feelings writing this review, my experiences are 100% accurate however who wants the chance of bringing in too many new customers to my home mechanic when things are so perfect. Don’t waste your time or money coming to this place! Paul is very dishonest and this is the text I had to send him today after he told me I would paySo when we spoke on the phone on May 22 you told me my portion of the bill is $311. You were going to charge me 2 hours labor at $120 which would be $240 plus $130 for part for a total of 370. So the warranty company is paying you .8 labor ( .3 diagnostics and .5 for labor) for a total of $96! 120*.8= $96+$113 for part for a total of $210. So you were expecting to get paid 311 from me and 210 from warranty Company for a total of $520. Either way you do the math it’s not right what you insisted I pay and you got pretty nasty with me when I tried questioning the bill. So $370- $210 comes to $160. The $100 dollar deductible that I’m responsible for would have left 60. Anyway you and me both know that the part is only $113 ( unless Hyundai is charging someone off the street less than a repair facility which I highly doubt) you also say you want to charge 120 for diagnosing when I had the car in there several months earlier and you already knew the switch was the problem and you replaced control arms at that time and if you would have replaced switch I wouldn’t have to be paying an extra $100 for the deductible this time. Also you charged me taxes last time for repair and under New York State law I should not have paid taxes under terms of my warranty agreement. And lastly you didn’t follow protocol under my warranty which you were aware of by repairing the vehicle before getting approval from warranty company or myself. And you refused to except the $140 I was going to reluctantly give you today saying I will pay. So you do what you need to do and I’ll just keep this text as to everything that expires between us as future reference in case this leads to something else. $520, I guess you just wanted to get paid twice 😂. And you tell me you don’t try taking advantage of people.

Having your transmission go is probably one of the worst things you could have to deal with from a vehicle standpoint . Many times it results in having to get a new car. For me, that wasn’t an option. So when my transmission went, I needed to replace it or get a new one. These things never happen at a good time. The only positive for me was the fact that I had Paul at Nut Just Lube, New Hyde Park to bring my vehicle to and hope for the best. A job of this size, I could only bring it to someone I could trust so I could feel confident I would be treated fairly. Since I’ve been going to Paul for years, for me, there was no other choice. So much so, that I paid extra to have my vehicle towed over 30 miles to get it to him. In the end, Paul got the job done by putting a new transmission in my vehicle as fast as possible while charging me a fair and reasonable price. It is why I always have and always will go to Paul at Nut Just Lube New Hyde Park for any work on my car and I have always and will continue to recommend them to anybody.

Thos repair shops is the most honest repair shop i have ever had my car service. Besides that the owner is very polite and hospitable and very straightforward. He tells you what wrong with your car and what Repair parts it need. Then take you into the shop and show you exactly what the car need.When you give the ok to so the job he then explains to you how it work.But what i like about this guy after i return to get my car he put it on the lift and show me the parts that was replaced and also my old parts.His prices are the best around long island.I would recommend him to everyone no question ask.

I own a business so my vehicle is very important to be road ready. One day I hit a pot hole that destroyed the front right suspension. My car was making so much noise it was embarrassing to drive it anywhere. I took the vehicle to the dealer and they returned my car 2 days later with just about nothing done and a huge bill that was a shocker. I was not happy and promised myself to never go back there. Since Nut Just Lube was right around the corner from my office, I stopped in and met Paul. He explained what was wrong and assured me he would be able to fix it and have it back by the end of the day. Before I could leave the shop he offered me breakfast and made me a cup of tea. Wow! To make a long story short, Paul stayed true to his words. He gave back my vehicle with everything fixed the strange and annoying noise was forever gone. Im now a customer for life. Highly recommend.

Went for inspection and oil change. Very quick and efficient. The manager is extremely helpful and really nice.

My car went wild and overheated, this was the closest shop to me. I barely made it there, but so glad I did! As soon as I pulled up, the manager/owner Paul had someone take a look and add antifreeze. I was told I would have to wait until the car cooled down for them to really go in and see what the problem was, but it was the best idea to NOT drive it because of the signs they were seeing.I live on Long Island, about 45 mins away, and was totally unprepared to be stuck in New Hyde Park. I had my baby with me (am also pregnant!) and no other way to get home besides my Jeep.The manager was extremely generous, helpful and kind. He gave me pizza and even paid for me to take a cab home because I was stuck.I am forever grateful and would recommend these guys 100%!!I haven’t had any work done on. My vehicle yet, but when I do I am definitely bringing it here!!

Suspension Struts, AC compressor, and all engine mounts.Reasonable prices and the owner a highly experienced mechanic himself makes sure your vehicle leaves satisfactory. Ive been a customer for about 9 years. Always excellent, fast service, always friendly, and reasonably priced... and they do not expand on what my car needs done. Ill always refer friends and family here.

Nut Just Lube - is nothing more than a Lube shop. They are at best, replacement parts mechanics. I went there on three occasions with a noise on my car. I was first told by Paul that it was my muffler strap that was shaking; second occasion, I was told it was the Exhaust Manifold. Third visit, I was told that it was bushings on my care that needed to be replaced. This arrogant guy even put my car up on a lift and did a fake demonstration. Turns out that the problem was not with my struts. When I challenge Paul, he got angry and give me my money back stating that he does not want to do business with me. He also threatened me after one of his customers stated to me that he was a smart guy and I responded that smart people are no arrogant. He told me not to say anything in front of his customers or we would have a problem. I took my car to a real mechanic shot. Not a Lube shot, and the mechanic there figured out that it was the struts on my car, not the bushings as arrogant Paul stated.Folks, he also told me that most of his customers are senior citizens. He does not like to do business with Millennials. Go figure who this old mechanic is ripping off....

I have been servicing my cars here for over 10 years. The most honest and reputable shop I have ever used. Paul is a man of his word. He tells you as it is. Take it or bring your car elsewhere..people tend to not realize that constant use of vehicles result in wear and tear. They complain when parts have to be replaced. Paul shows you the price that every part used cost. He even cuts his labor cost sometimes jus to bring down the price you pay. This is my go to shop and will continue to use them for all my servicing needs. Wouldnt hesitate to recomend.

I go to this shop as a back up to my regular shop when I can not take off from work. On 2 visit they did a fair amount of work on my car 2001 Toyota Carola. Both times they did good work, fix it the first time. Please keep in mind they are $$$, but the job will be done right.
