I experienced no problems here. Went in for inspection and emissions. They were running late but still stayed open until my car was done. They seemed to be compliant to Mt standards during the pandemic. I would recommend this place. Both tags plus tax is $80!

Stopped in to get an inspection and oil change done, Jeff from the get go was personable and made me feel relaxed and more at ease. The process went by without any issues, my car was done quicker than I expected (thank you Joe) and I was on my way before I knew it. All in all an easy, and quick run. I originally called NTB in Lower Burrell on Sunday because I woke up to a flat tire. They were booked and too busy for me telling me they had limited staff and hours. I called Monroe and explained my situation and was told that even though they were booked and limited staff too, if I could leave the car (I left the wheel there), theyd work it in and have it done.I dropped it off and about an hour later it was ready, saving not only my day today, but my Monday as well! Great friendly service at a reasonable price!!! Would definitely recommend them!!

Had the whole 9 yards done at Monro (oil change, brakes, new tires and wheels put on my vehicle, alignment and inspection). All appointments were on time and work was done quickly. Jeff was fantastic! I sure appreciate you guys taking care of me!

Today I had the pleasure of being helped by Josh. He was very respectful and kind. Not only did they get my car in 40 minutes before my appointment time as I left the house early because of the rain, they had me back out the door in less than the hour they had expected. Josh asked me to come to the counter before having me pay and went over an entire checklist with me one on one that gave me a great feeling about the condition of my car. It is always nice to hear the good things about my car which tells me he is honest and trustworthy. Through todays service with Josh you have gained a customer for life.

I came into this location with extremely high and unreasonable expectations at 7:30am (opening time). I didnt have an appointment but desperately needed help because smoke was coming from under the hood. I was greeted by Dan and he explained their busy schedule but said he would do his best to get me back on the road again. Dan took a look at my car. He found a nail that was almost in the side wall of the tire and also noticed coolant all over the place. He discussed the repairs and cost with me and quickly ordered parts. Four hours later I am back on the road and my car is safe to drive. I appreciate Dan and his team very much and would highly recommend them.

Took my car in for new wheels and an alignment on 6/19/2018. It turned out that my brake pads also needed replaced; they were swift and diligent about informing me of this issue and updating my estimate. The staff was very friendly, informative, and kind throughout the entire process and their affordable pricing helped me in ways they may not even know. Also, even though they close at 7pm, my car was not finished until a little after closing. A staff member stayed on site for a few minutes so that I could pick up my car and have it for work in the morning.I will absolutely be returning for additional work that I would like done to my vehicle and would recommend them to friends/family in the area.

1 word. AMAZING. I had an issue with my brakes and within 10 minutes, my car was in the garage and being looked over. Sean and Dan were extremely kind and very helpful. They explained every little detail so I could understand exactly what was going on, because, lets be real. Car terms arent my strong suit. I understand that this location is under new management. I came in for muffler repair. They gave me estimates for the time and cost of the job. It was exactly what they told me. I didnt have an appointment, but they took me in and provided speedy service. The manager was honest, fair, involved, and friendly.Since they are a one-stop-shop and their customer service and quality work are excellent, I plan to come back for any more jobs that I need done.

Today I had Daniel as my mechanic and he was very nice, fast and knowledgeable. He made honest recommendations for my trucks maintenance without feeling pressure to get additional services. I have been coming to this location for a long time now and the employees are knowledgeable and are willing to take the time to explain any issues or concerns you may have ( I have been taken into the garage and given visual step by step explanations regarding my repairs on several occasions). Management and technicians are friendly and willing to listen - and I often receive discount coupons in the mail, so awesome service all around!

John at Monro Muffler was wonderful, he called me to let me know that there were a few minor problems with my car but nothing that needs to be taking care of today. He did set me up with a price and made me feel comfortable to go back in the future. I have always gone there for an oil change, tire rotation and break inspection. Specifically at this location. I refuse to take my car anywhere else. I get in and get out quickly without being scammed.

Scheduled an oil change on my moms vehicle. Planned on dropping it off before work and picking it up at the end of the day.They had it done in no time at all (I know this because they actually called instead of me trying to guess or having to call them). Was able to pick it up on my lunch break.Very happy they saved me valuable time at the end of my day. Very friendly! Planning on taking my car in for an oil change when it is due.

This was my first time here due to a some car troubles on my way home from work. The guys helped me quickly and were very professional and explained everything in terms I can understand. Went there on 8/11 because my brakes were making noise. Monro told me I needed 4 new rotors, brake flush, and 4 new brake pad replacements and quoted me 1150$ for the work. I said no thanks. I took it to a local mechanic and I only needed 2 rotors, 2 new brake pads (the other 2 were fine).Monro: $1150Local Mechanic: $370

Making appointment is merely a formality here. I had a simple issue with a tire and took well over the estimated time to do the work. In fact, they took a gentlemans bicycle who came in after mine to work on it for him. Next time, Ill do myself a favor and go to the guys at Highland Tire. The only redeeming quality I saw while waiting was that there was a better coupon online from the one another customer brought. The service tech printed that one out to save him a few bucks. Only reason this isnt a 1 Star.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! STAY AWAY I brought my car here for an inspection and to have the check and replace a wheel bearing. Mind u the bearing was making that grinding now when they stay top go bad. So they told me it was my tires making the noice and passed the car.. a few month later my wheel bearing fell apart!!!! They told me that it happens and it can be good one day and fail the next.. well no it was obviously bad when they checked it and passed it anyway now in screwed because its not covered anymore and they eont help

I needed help today while I was away from home so I stopped in at Monro in New Kensington since I deal with Monro at home. Sean was friendly and assured me they could find the ear splitting sounds my car was making. $26 later I was on my way after Sean and Joseph found the rock wedged against a rotor. They were friendly, efficient and fast plus I felt that I could trust them to be fair. I also liked that I was already in the computer so they didn’t have to ask a bunch of questions. Good guys.

No issues getting my truck inspected with emissions. The staff were friendly and prompt with quick service. Bill took care of my truck and provided useful recommendations for future care of my vehicle.

Stopped in just before closing with a flat tire removed from the vehicle. They checked the tire and found the TPMS sensor retaining nut failed. They removed the sensor. Installed a regular valve stem at my request and also checked tire pressures and lug nut torques on the spare I installed on the side of 28. No charge. I gave them some money anyway for their services and last minute help. Great staff of technicians.

Monro on Tarentum Bridge Road in New Kensington. Dan and Sean did a great job on my car. I needed rotors and brakes they also did an inspection and emissions. I have always gone to the shop even when Brian was the manager. Now it’s Dan and he and Sean couldn’t be nicer. No bull they do great work and in record time. I’ve gone there for 14 years. I tell people to go here all the time. I trust these guys.

Will not return, brought car in for inspection and emission was told I needed brakes to pass inspection, they quoted me $865.00 WHAT??? Needless to say I got my brakes done for $90 (all 4). Brakes for my car are not expensive so why did Monroe think that this service would cost this much. Must be the female in me 😂

On the way to work I ran over a pot hole, which was deeper than anticipated. I ended up with a bent tire rim. The mechanic on hand was very helpful and took my car right in for service. He bent the rim back put the tire back on for no charge!! :-) I was back on the road to work in no time! I would recommend them for honest, quick service. The wheel is in fine shape! I will go back if any other service is needed.

First time customer. I Stopped in around 1 pm (without an appointment) to have my car inspected. Knowing it was going to need some extra work, I planned on just leaving it there . Wish I had this kind of service back home. I am from Maryland and stopped in here because my brakes were making noise. They took me right in, checked my brakes, showed them to me, then had them replaced in less than an hour. I am sooo greatful for these guys.

I went into the shop with low expectations because they didnt have appointments open and I was only in town for a few days, with much more driving to go before I reach my final stop. Jeremiah fit me in, was patient with me while I tried to explain what was going on with the Jeep and called twice to discuss options and validate the service that fit my budget. Suffice to say, Monroe New Ken took care of me like I was family, fixed the problem for less than expected and was friendly and professional. Ill certainly come back next time Im in town, hopefully, just for preventative maintenance though.

After $454.73 in repairs that were not needed they finally found the problem. A $40 fix....when we asked why the issue was discovered the first time we were told they dont fix noises.

Only shop in a 10 mile radius that did a tie rod repair for the what the insurance company estimated it to cost. 375 estimated cost parts and service with alignment, paid 375.50. Other shops in the area wanted to charge 200 dollars more.Very happy.Update 6-14-19Had to have a lot of work done, totaling 1,750, again this price was about 2,000 from the other shops around the area.I didnt have that amount of money, asked if they could do what they could to get it back on the road. With great communication about my car and the work needed (took me into the shop to show how bad i let things go). They were able to lower the price to 866.55 and threw in some free wiperblades.Now some might think free wiperblades doesnt balance out the price tag but they are free and who turns down free.

What a pleasure to do business with honest and knowledgeable folks like those at Monro Auto Center. I brought my car in for a noise in a front wheel. From reading online, it could have been any of a number of things. A few inexpensive, others quite expensive.The mechanic was able to diagnose and repair the problem - which happened to be a simple thing. I am a single, older woman who knows nothing about cars. They could have told me anything - what do I know? (I have been raked over the coals by mechanics in the past, or so I was told - after the fact.)I will certainly be doing business with these honest people in the future!

Tried to UPSELL numerous unneeded items. They failed my front brake pads for microscopic heat cracks, then said I should replace the rotors as well and flush the brake fluid, for a total of over $800. Are you kidding me? I replaced the pads myself for $40 and it passed inspection, even though there was plenty of wear left on the existing pads, and I have pictures as proof. I witnessed two other customers trying to be sold unneeded extra services. I get it, businesses try to sell their services, but when it comes to car maintenance, there are critical, safety repairs that should be done, minor repairs that might be worth doing when you have it apart or on a lift, but then there are totally optional services, that are a complete waste of money for the customer - i.e. new rotors and brake fluid flush when changing only the brake pads. The customer before me had low tire pressure and his TPMS light was on. They wanted over $100 to reset the light (which often happens automatically when the correct tire pressure is restored - or can be done following directions in the owners manual.) If you dont know anything about cars, I would stay away or you will pay a LOT and if you do know something about cars, I would also stay away since they are more interested in fixing anything and everything they can, whether it is truly needed or not.Thank you for your response. I attached a photo of the brake shoes FYI that came off the vehicle. If you want to resolve the issue as you stated in your response to my original review, my contact information is all on file in your computer.

My buddy works there and I was up to visit him for the weekend and I explained to him that I got my oil changed where I live and my buddy said how much was your oil change? I said $29.99 and he then proceeded to tell me that doesn’t sound right. So my buddy researched it with his knowledge asked me what make and model my car was and come to find out the oil place did the wrong oil change, they did a conventional oil change when clearly it needed a synthetic oil change. So after I got home I called the place where I got it done and told them what I found out and the oil place had no clue what oil change my car took, the guy had to ask his boss, and that boss had to ask his boss. So they fix the wrong on my car but if it wasn’t for Daniel at monro for saving my engine I probably would not been aware of the situation so next time I’m up to visit Daniel I’ll be sure to make an oil appointment. Again thank you Daniel for saving my cars life!!!

Walked in on a Sunday morning with a flat tire in the trunk. I asked if they could plug it real quick. Shawn asked if I could leave it as they had 2 appointments coming in at that time. I said no, but thank you and got ready to leave.As I was walking, I said I couldnt leave it because I was going to Kennywood in a couple of hours. Shawn stopped me and asked what wheel it was. I told him it was in the trunk, and he said he could do it. That was good news.Very friendly, comfortable atmosphere. I usually use NTB in Lower Burrell for these types of quick fixes (who was too busy... To plug a tire), but today Shawn at Monroe earned my future business.

The guys at this location are some of the best Ive delt with. Dan and his team are always honest, they dont try to upsale you on things you dont need and they get my car in and out in ample time. I would highly recommend to use Dan and his team at Monro. I wont take my car anywhere else.

Criminals. Dishonest. Took car twice after they did a horrible job the first time. The car is worst. Keep an eye on them if you take your car here. If you suspect something isnt right or that you are being over charged on parts ask to see everything. Old parts, new parts, boxes. Asks questions if you dont understand. Dont be afraid to challenge these people or any mechanic. If you dont know cars they will take advantage of you. Pathetic.
