Have been going here for over 20 years. Went as a kid now i can take my own kids. Only issue is kids are working and sometimes cant do simple math since they still take orders on paper and add on paper. Double check your total and only except cash! Otherwise love the dipped cones and the crunch!!

Heard many good things from other people so we finally tried it for our self’s and got Chocolate, caramel and mint shakes. Quality was bad, texture wasn’t the same as milkshake but rather heavy cream. Chocolate shake tasted like it was just full of chocolate syrup. Mint shake was also bad, tasting too sweet where my daughter could not drink it. Pretty much when we got home we threw away all 3 shakes. Probably won’t be coming back again.

Grew up in New Lenox my whole life, so might be a little biased, but the best damn soft serve ice cream around. Hot dogs are always delicious, always the best spot to stop for a quick bite if you can. It is cash only but they do have an ATM on the side of the building.

I have enjoyed the sweet treats since I was a kid, now my family enjoys them as well. We make sure to stop when were in town. Good stuff!!

We stopped by here spontaneously on a drive to Tractor Supply. I ordered the vanilla with cherry dip and my son ordered the swirl. Excellent ice cream - hit the spot. Wish there were more independent places like this. We will be back.

Great place for soft serve ice cream

Ive been coming to this place for over 25 years and loved it...l. but two years seems it like its been really going downhill. I know this menu by heart and how long it typically takes to make.something that typically takes 5 minutes took almost 25 minutes and its because I thought they were doing something and they are actually sitting there talking to girls instead of taking care of customers.So I thought to myself they cant screw of ice cream, I asked for a simple large twist cone dipped in chocolate and they couldnt figure out if I wanted vanilla or chocolate, I had to explain to them that I wanted a twist cone chocolate dipped. They looked at me puzzled came back to the window with a twist cone not dipped.... Three people looked at me and them and two walked away in disgust...

Need to get gluten free back 🙂

No credit cards accepted, should be MUCH cheaper prices. And they should have rules outside. Living near it is a nightmare because of kids!

This place is a gem and full of nostalgia for this New Lenox native. Been coming here ever since I can remember and whenever I’m back in town to visit family. Root beer freeze or vanilla cone dipped in crunch!

Husband loves their hot dogs. My favorites are the hot ham sandwiches and walking tacos. Try a double chocolate shake (chocolate shake made with chocolate ice cream). Cherry shakes are good, double chocolate shake with strawberries or cherry sauce, and my favorite is a chocolate soda made with frozen strawberry yogurt! 😜

Milkshakes were good as well as the ice cream and the no names. Very kid-friendly and priced reasonably for what you got. Also nice to see that they have hot dogs and other hot food selections. Overall good experience and will definitely be coming back to Ranch Frostie over the summer.

Adequate food prices.Employee seemed like she was doing me a favor answering my questions about the menu. Didnt want to be bothered, and I think she was the owner or manager!Poor customer service.Spend your money anywhere else.

I give this place one star purely on the fact its cash only and they have a broken atm on the side. Sorry but its 2020 people. Sure charge a service fee for using a credit card that makes sense for a small company. But oh well Ill give the creamery and oberweis my money.

The cherry dipped crunch cone was amazing!!! They also have malts, shakes, and no-names (similar to a blizzard). You really cant go wrong with anything you order.

I got a strawberry Boston shake but there were no strawberry pieces like before? This is my first time here for the season. Normally on a day like today, this place would be packed! It was weird and very quiet. I still enjoyed my shake and would return to try something else next time. I like that you can sit outside and eat your treats at a picnic table. Happy Summer. :)

25 year old nostalgia is the only reason I have to go here. Youll find better ice cream at chains than here. You will also find a larger variety and the ability to use a credit card.

I always go for the shakes! Theyre good. I do think they need to start accepting credit/debit cards. They get enough business where I think it wouldnt be a problem.

Frosties is more than just a seasonal ice cream shop. Its a pillar in the community. Growing up, nothing would beat a cup of ice cream on a hot summer night or waiting in line on a cold Spring day just to grab a hot dog on opening day.

Make sure you go with cash as they dont take debit cards! That being said, Ive gone here since I was in little league in the 1970s and Im glad theyre still around. A great stop on a hot summer day.

Since the new owners took over, it takes forever to get through the line.... even with two windows open. Some of the employees in the back were too busy messing around with each other to help the other kids working the front counter. Once getting our ice cream, the larges were missing a third of the ice cream. Should’ve ordered a small and would’ve been same amount of ice cream in the no name. It’s disappoinint the serve has changed so much since the former owners sold. I will hope it gets better but I won’t be back for awhile to find out. All of our visits have been like this since it’s new owners took over.

Today was the first time I was disappointed at Ranch Frosty. I asked for their Monster shake - which previously was HUGE and was given a shake the same size as McDonalds large. I was charged $7 for this!! When I said it wasnt the Monster size, I was told it definitely was. What is was is a RIP--OFF! Last summer the shake was double the size.
