The workers here are lazy and rude. They hold inappropriate conversations among themselves and through video chat while they are dealing with customers. One cashier actually props her phone up on the scanner so she can video chat while checking people out. The shelves are usually in the process of being stocked but never seem to be completed, leaving the isles cluttered with inventory. I went to this store at least twice a week for about a month before writing this because I honestly didnt think any store could be run this way on purpose.

Its a Dollar General. Every single one of them is exactly identical in every single way possible. They all exist in their own dimension, simultaneous to ours.

I called the Corporate office to fix the conveyor on the check out 3 years ago. STILL NOT FIXED.The staff has to work harder to check out and so do I... pushing my numerous items forward...WHY????

I’m just guessing corporate has never set foot in this store. Bring your own bags, unless you want to carry all your stuff up to the checkout because they don’t have any baskets or carts anywhere in the store (they’ve all been stolen.) The conveyor belt has been broken for like 10 years and the place is just generally a disaster. It’s also a hot spot for crime. The employees don’t wanna be there, and I honestly don’t blame them. I bet it’s a terrible place to work....but it’s convenient, so we’re gonna keep shopping there anyway...which I suspect is why corporate doesn’t care what goes on there. It’s sad really. I can’t imagine working there and I really do feel sorry for them. I doubt the GM can even do much about the state of the place, because they clearly get no support from higher up.

Very little was stocked and the cashier was in training but the other cashier was sitting back watching not trying to get the people in line out any faster.

Convenient spot to get junk food

Great to have around the corner, fast, easy, and many times reasonably priced items. Several times Ive paid full price for sale items, prices not clearly labeled. Plus side, Managerial staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Some cashiers are wonderful and a treat to see, other employees should probably seek employment outside of retail since customer service is not their strong suit. Wish theyd post schedules!

They always have what you need.

The store itself is clean. Inside the customer service is really good. however we had to wait an incredibly long time for someone to come to the counter and help us. And the people at the counter seem very disconnected. on average if youre just going to the Dollar store this is probably a decent want to go to. Explain an extra 20 minutes ahead of time in case you know you got to be somewhere.

Im constantly disappointed. The buggys are always missing and theyre often out of stock of what you need. The clerks are a hit or miss with helpfulness and dont even get me started on how unkempt the place is inside.

This Dollar General is ok. They have STUFF. And im not too happy to say that i have watched many people shoplifting in this store. But its in such a bad neighborhood that i would rather see shoplifters rather than armed robbers.

Why is it never open at the hours posted?

Went shopping for cleaning products for my home. Store was nice and clean and arranged in an orderly fashion. Employees were courteous and stocking shelves. The manager should make an effort 2 have the registers belt repaired. Its annoying to place numerous items on the belt and have to move them closer to the cashier to be scanned.

If you like living life on the edge, this might be for you. Mommas slapping their babies while yelling at them to stop crying while youre buying a pack of AA batteries at the risk of being part of some random crime that can happen at this location at any second.Would be a great place for prepper folk to shop so they can have early experience of dystopian, post-apocalyptic reality.

This once was a good store but it is under new management so they are always out of a lot of stuff. In addition, the cashiers are always on their phones even during checkout. I gave it 2 stars just because it still sells decent stuff otherwise the store is no good.

Very nice people working there. The manager, young attractive black man, was very kind and extra helpful. He went out of his way 2 separate times he deserves a raise.

This Dollar General is debatable, I havent been able to find some typical normal items but theres good parking, prices are good but we need more management but its maybe the location, that alone is sketchy I go by here only I strictly need to in the Bywater bc if thats my only choice usually Not

The workers at the register were completely unprofessional. They rang up an item three times that didnt need to be running up. Its basically the place you go when you have no other choice.

Has pretty much anything youd ever need at great prices.

The cashier was rude but the manager had a great and patient attitude (I didnt get the name of the rude cashier). I went there to do the 5/25 deal and realized that it only works on Saturdays ONLY.. Very disappointed to find that out.

As far as dollar stores go, you can ask for much more. Lots of groceries when you are in a pinch, and everything else youd expect. Staff is typically pretty friendly as well

Horrible service no customer skills at all between the cashier and supposedly manager with a earring in her nose I go there to buy something to drink the price on the Gatorade shelf in the cooler said $1.50 so I get to the register to purchase the drinks I tell her $1.65 not the correct price the stickers on the shelf say something different they argue with me and told me thats not the right price my response I think it should have been taken down false advertisement so thats the price I want finally after going back and forward she came around to the other side of the register and credit me then tell me I need to hurry up because there is a second line coming her manager called her and told her to lock the doors this all happened about 11:57 a.m. never will go back to again

Incredibly ghetto. Terrible customer service. Frequently understaffed and unstocked. No shade in parking lot. Register belt doesnt function. This place needs a major upgrade and repairsOnly one cash register is ever open. Ive only ever gone in twice where two registers where open.No cashiers Ive encountered know the names of any cigarettes and have prevented me from buying cigarettes multiple times. Despite being able to see the pack it is impossible to instruct them as to which cigarettes I want.One time I experienced and emergency and had to use the bathroom. The cashier could not find the key to either the male or female restroom. Finally she called over another Clerk for him to only have the mens key when I proceeded to use their bathroom it clearly had not been cleaned as the toilet had four layers of paper towel on it which proceeded to NOT flush and the toulet paper was on the assist rail.Do not go here unless you absolutely have to.

Since the recent mgmt change the store has gone down hill. The shelves run out of product and stay empty a lot longer. How long is a dollar store whose main product is food going to stay out of something simple like red beans or canned salmon? The manager used to talk to clients and get to know the regular locals, not anymore. The Asst. Mgr has always been professional and courteous. As are a few cashiers.

This store gets two stars because of the manager. He is such a pleasure to do business with! He always speaks and when he corrects the employees he does it in a nice calm way. Now that aside, the store isnt great. They are typically out of half the stuff I want which is inconvenient because I live 2 blocks away and I normally go there because of how close it is. In addition it is SO DANGEROUS!! I saw a fight break out at the register and then 3 months ago around 3pm I was in line to check out when the STORE GOT ROBBED AT GUN POINT. Honestly, avoid this store if you can but if you do go in let the manager ring you up. He is the only reason I gave the store any stars..
