Yvonne LaFleur is by far the best experience I have ever had buying a formal.After spending all day in several other wedding and formal shops in New Orleans. I almost gave up. A lady in the last boutique encouraged me to go to Yvonne’s.I walked in with great hesitation. I went in today, looking for the perfect gift for a coworker’s bridal shower... and Mrs. Yvonne and Viviana helped me find the perfect gift within twenty minutes! I don’t love shopping, so this meant so much to me! I was even offered champagne, which added to the five star service I received! If you want to find a great gift that is a top, high end luxury product... and don’t want to spend a fortune, this is the place to go! I’ll never shop anywhere else!

We went there shopping for a bridal dress. The staff was eager to help but the selection was limited and not to our taste. It was our first day shopping so we were disappointed in not being able to photograph the dresses in order to make a selection later.

I have been shopping here for years and love the unique service and Yvonne! My sister from California loves to shop here when we are in town. Very nice styles and very unlike the chain stores. A very “New Orleans experience!

This is how shopping should be! Very welcoming, their greeting is warm, offered me a refreshment upon arrival. It takes a while to shop as this is an entire experience not just an in & out trip. They can offer advice when trying on clothes & suggest pieces that would go well on you. I really liked a blouse but didnt know what to pair it with and they came up with a great option. There is so much selection. Great quality clothing. Unique finds. Classic options that will last forever so yes you pay more but its an investment and well worth it. Bring your lady friends and make an afternoon here. Will definitely be back!

I cannot begin to describe how wonderful my experience was with Yvonne. At first I was nervous as my wedding dress shopping experience was limited but from the minute we walked in to the time we walked out - she was so helpful - from choosing a dress to choosing a veil and she even had advice on the jewelry I should wear on the big day. Each employee was beyond polite and I left feeling I had known them all for years. I walked out with my dream wedding dress!I went back the next day to purchase beautiful handmade handkerchiefs which Yvonne took the time to wrap each individual one in her signature paper. I will always recommend Yvonne and her team. I can’t wait to go back!

Love this place! My sister and I both got our wedding dresses here! The folks that work there are so nice. All the dresses are hanging from the ceiling so it makes it super easy to see all their dresses. The quality of the dresses you will try on are unmatched to any other dress shop in the New Orleans area. They do not let you take pictures there (may be the only downfall), but seriously this is the dress shop to find “the dress”. I wouldn’t recommend any other place.

Yvonne is fabulous and her designs are amazing. You wont find anything like her clothes anywhere else, which is especially wonderful when picking your wedding dress! Everything is wonderfully made and will last for many years. I have purchased my wedding dress and rehearsal dress from her and they are truly a dream. My mom got her dress for my wedding there, as well. I have also purchased my favorite everyday dress, my favorite sweater, and several other pieces of clothing from her. This is truly her passion and it shows. I tell everyone to go to her for dresses and I look forward to getting many more dresses and outfits from her in the future! Please check her out! I found my perfect wedding dress at Yvonne La Fleur right before I bought another dress from another store in New Orleans. Once I put it on I knew it was the one and i couldnt have been more excited. It was also significantly less than the other dress I planned on buying but looked 10x more expensive. It was a wonderful experience when I found the dress!! Free alterations is also a plus! It took about 4 months for my dress to come in (very normal). Once it came in I scheduled my first fitting. I ordered a strapless dress and I was having sleeves (from the same lace) put on the dress. Well they forgot to order the extra lace that we paid for. While I was being fitted Yvonne continuously told me that a lace she found in the back was the same lace. Well it was not and we knew it. So did the seamstress. I told the seamstress my vision and that I really wanted to have the same lace on the sleeves. She assured me she understood my vision and she would make sure it was the same lace. So obviously I was a little nervous while I waited before my next appointment. When I arrived 2 months later at my final fitting it could not have been more perfect. The seamstress is a genius! She knew exactly what she was doing and gave me a better dress than I ever could have envisioned. My best advice to anyone that is getting fitted here is to make best friends with the seamstress... she knows what she is doing. Also, when they are writing down on the card what she is supposed to do to your dress during alterations... make sure they write everything down correctly. Do not let your opinions be influenced by what anyone on the staff wants. Its your day, your dress... do it the way you want. But I did want to write a positive review based on my experience and to clear the name of the genius of a seamstress they have working there!!!

I have been buying her fragrance for over 20years. I still love it as much as I did the first time I bought it and am constantly complimented on this fragrance. A wonderful gentleman name Errol (sp) calls me every few months to see if I need to reorder. Their customer service is second to none!!

The dresses are exquisite and so is the staff!! Bobby is AMAZING! He helped me pick out a Mardi Gras Ball dress and treated me like a Queen! Yvonne is the epitome of class and grace. I love the individual attention she gives to each customer. Ill never go anywhere else for formal dresses!!!

This shop is a window into the old south where ladies were true ladies. When you enter the store that is 100000 sq feet you will feel transported into another world of genteel courtesy and professionalism. I love Yvonne and Stella so much! I have many dresses from them and I love them all. I am extremely tiny and they always alter and make my dresses to fit me. I would recommend anyone who wants to stand out and be one of a kind to shop here.

I don’t usually leave reviews. I called to ask if they had a certain dress in stock available to be tried on (I knew they carried the line). I had called about 6 other stores and asked the same question, each very helpful, looked through their catalog, apologetic for not having it, offered to check to see if they could order it on a loaner (Bridal Bliss even suggested trying an in-affiliated store in Baton Rouge.. Yvonne La Fleur said they didn’t know if they had it, they weren’t going to look through the inventory, that I could come in to the store and look through the dresses myself if I wanted to. No joke. Nope. What kind of person in the service industry says that??

I stayed in the uptown area on a trip to New Orleans. My husband was dying to try the famous Camillia Grille and so i made a deal with him, wed eat there if we could stop at Yvonne La Fleur which is very close, a friend of mine had highly recommended i stop by. I have to say it was one of the highlights of my trip! The interior is great, it is one of the last real boutiques in the US! Dont be fooled by the small front room, the store extends well into the back where they stock some of the most beautiful wedding dresses ive seen in a boutique store. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I told them my price range straight off the bat and they picked out a bunch of items for me to try on whilst enjoying a glass of champagne- 2 hours went by like that. I ended up buying a lovely summer dress. After expressing that i wasnt sure about how it fit they said they could alter it. I declined because my flight was leaving the next day. But they told me they would still do it free of charge and ship it to me! They really went above and beyond. I highly recommend this store, what a gem!

Beautiful dresses, TERRIBLE STAFF. I have had the worst experience dealing with alterations for my wedding dress. It has been very stressful. Never have I been so badly treated by shop staff. The women who do the alterations are nice, but thats small consolation. My dress is not finished, but I am taking it somewhere else because I am too stressed to deal with these women anymore.

If I could give less than one star, I would. The woman that owns this place is very unprofessional. We went there to choose my bridesmaids dresses and a sales associate helped us, and she was very nice, so I scheduled an appointment to come in to try on for wedding dresses.Now, let me preface this by saying that Im 52 and around a size 12 at Belk, Dillards, Davids Bridal, and most other retail stores. In wedding dresses I size about an 18 due to my bust (36 G) and my butt (very large for my size). I told the lady that I wanted to at least try on because at other places I could try on a 12-14 unzipped and it wouldnt go over my hips but I could see what it would look like. I gave her my budget and we started walking around and looking at dresses. I asked prices and she would tell me, and theyd be within my range but she wouldnt even pull them if they werent a size 20. My maid of honor and I had to ask repeatedly for her to pull dresses. Well, finally we get some for me to try on, and she insists on being the one to come in the changing room with me. We put a size 20 over my head and its form fitted to the hips and goes on fine until we get to the hips, and theres tulle and everything else wadded up under the dress. She refuses to pull it out and pull the dress down. She said it was too small and that I didnt even need to try the rest of the dresses, and that the style dress I wanted wasnt right for me. I asked her what type girls she usually put in those dresses and she said oh, ones that dont flare out at the hips. And I said oh, so youre telling me this isnt a style thing, but a weight thing? And she was said she just wouldnt put me in that type of dress. She wasnt apologetic or anything. We left and swore wed never come back. DONT go here. This isnt the first horror story Ive heard sense then, either.

What a disappointing experience! I brought a picture of the type of dress I wanted to get married in, which happened to be an evening gown that my great grandmother made. When I showed Yvonne the picture, she was extremely rude and told me that the gown looked like a mardi gras costume instead of a wedding gown. It was visible that she was just upset that she didnt have the gown I was looking for, so she decided to insult the gown that I want. She was very condescending and rude to my mom, sister, and I . My sister stepped out and made an appointment at Town and Country and we had a wonderful experience there (as well as purchasing my wedding gown). I would definitely not recommend Yvonnes for anything.

I have been a very loyal client of Yvonne Lefleurs fragrance for more than 15 years and I have to say that on my recent purchase, I was very surprised that they smell has changed. I called the shop and spoke with a gentleman and asked if the formula had changed or could I have possibly received a bad bottle. He let it slip that they were looking into synthetic ingredients that would keep cost down, etc. I informed him that I would gladly pay more for the original aroma and that maybe they could consider returning to the original formula because the smell has been altered so much, it doesnt even remotely resemble the traditional smell.Futhermore, when I brought the bottle back, Ms Lefleur was there and said that nothing had changed and that all of her ingredients were natural, so with each batch the aroma could vary. In the 15 years I have worn this, I have NEVER had this happen.This was very disappointing to say the least. My nose knows.

I had a feeling about Yvonne LaFleur. That is why I scheduled my fitting at this shop first! I was very nervous and anxious about the process of selecting a wedding gown. Like many women, I am self conscious about my body and I really hate trying on clothing. When we arrived at the shop, we realized that I would be the only bride shopping in the bridal department during our appointment. Having this personalized attention and privacy really helped ease my anxiety and I was able to actually enjoy a very special experience. Yvonnes daughter, Stella, was our consultant for the appointment. Stella is a true professional--she knew everything about every dress. She is incredibly passionate about fashion and that was evident in her ability to place me in the PERFECT dress. A dress I would have never picked without Stellas expert guidance. It is so convenient that Yvonne LaFleur offers in-house alterations. I had two fittings, and the experienced seamstresses were able to achieve a fit that appeared to be a custom made gown. I recommended Yvonne LaFleur to my mother-in-law, for her rehearsal dinner and wedding dress, and my best friend immediately upon her engagement. Both women have also had excellent experiences at Yvonne LaFleur!

I went to Yvonne LaFleur to look for a wedding dressy and had one of the most horrible and hurtful experiences of my entire life. First off, when I made my appointment I made sure to tell the person I spoke to at the store that I was 4 months pregnant just so there wouldnt be any confusion. Then I had to wait around to figure out who was going to be helping me finally a lady came to help me and had to excuse herself from my appointment more than twice to do other things. What was the point of making an appointment? We walked around the store looking at dresses and the saleslady kept remarking the size of every single dress I was interested in. The first thing she did was show me the dresses that DEFINITELY wouldnt fit me and while I agreed that they looked like dresses for tall thin girls, they werent in the styleI showed her so I dont even know why it was brought up besides to shame and embarrass me. She looked skeptical at everything I touched and constantly reminded me of the size of each dress. She picked up a size 20 dress and 2 other dresses I liked from the front of the shop. She grabbed NONE of the ones I said I liked from the back. The first dress I put on was the size 20 dress which even at 4 months pregnant seemed to swallow me. She came over and had to pin it to make it fit me. While it was gorgeous, it still felt big my dad even remarked that it looked big. She CORRECTED HIM pointed to my waist and said this dress is actually too tight and that I would have to order the size 20. I can assure you IT WAS NOT tight in the least, in fact I had to pull a sash down from the wall and put it around me just to give myself a waist line. She then looked in the dressing room and said Ok have we tried on all the dresses? I looked at her in amazement and said this is the first dress Ive put on. My aunt even made a comment to her asking her if she was having a long day. We get into the dressing room where she unpinned me we go to try on one of the other 2 dresses she brought in and she told me that neither would fit me and Id just have to put my arms through them and pretend.WAIT WHAT? SO does this store expect me to buy something that I cant even put on my body to even imagine how it would fit? Even if I put it on and cant zip it? Am I not allowed to try on their precious dresses in fear that my fatness would rip them? Why is it that every other bridal salon I went to let me put on the dress and even if it didnt fit my attendant would follow me out holding the dress so that I could get an idea, at least, of what the dress looks like? I was appalled and offended and literally in disbelief. I told her that I was absolutely not just putting my arm through dresses that cost THOUSANDS of dollars in hopes that they would order one that would, hopefully, fit me. I felt absolutely wretched, I was so hurt, and still couldnt believe that a store who charges so much wouldnt have sizes on the rack that accommodate someone larger than a size 12 which in real life is a size 8. So if youre plus size dont expect to find anything at this store.The saleslady excused herself from helping me and did start a fitting room for the skinny girls who were buying informal wedding dresses and who did NOT have an appointment.She also pointed out EVERY SINGLE sale dress in the store. Since they knew ahead of time that I was pregnant did they just assume I was poor as well and didnt care to have my business or not hence the deplorable service? In the end, they lost because there was actually no budget for my wedding dress and I bought a beautiful expensive one elsewhere. I will NEVER step foot into Yvonne LaFleur again especially when Im back at my normal size 8!
