Food market with several options of food types with a bar at the back serving alcoholic drinks. We had the Gumbo which was missing the sausage and tasted ok, the cocktails are interesting combinations but average. We didnt try any other food vendors so they could be better.Overall if you want a place to get something very quickly to eat then St Roch Market is your place.
Several food vendors line the hall, with smaller select menus, indoor and outdoor seating, and real plates and silverware. We picked a Greek vendor and had a delicious grape leaves platter, highly recommended. There were several vendors, including a deli/sammich, fried chicken, Asian cuisine, coffee bar, seafood and cocktail vendors (that I remember). Sadly, the sushi vendor was not there on a Wednesday afternoon.
Visiting from Indianapolis and walked to the St Roch Cemetary. My mom had ordered the seafood gumbo. It was kike the dinner scene from Betelgeuse a giant crab surfaced from the bowl. Gave her a bit of a fright! Crayfish Etouffe was okay. Coffee was fantastic!
This is not the food hall that I read about. Almost no food! Anah the supervisor on duty asked me for my vaccination card, thankfully, but her attitude and the lack of food made it impossible for me to spread or get COVID19. This manager literally rolled her eyes at me and then shook her finger and ignored me when I asked for bottled water. The oysters At Elysian oysters are what I’m giving 1 star for. I did not like the bar because they did not have Hurricanes New Orleans style. The guy bartending seemed cool and made me and my buddies some bloody maries, and I’d be giving 4 stars based on the Bloody Mary drinks and oysters except for how rude the manager Ana was. I had to wait 10 minutes just to show her my vaccination card and she rolled her eyes when I showed her. I do not want to get Covid in this place
I went out of my way to stop by Coalesce Goods. I’m extremely happy that I did. Although I did have to wait about 20 minutes for my lunch, it was absolutely worth the wait, and the owner apologized to me and added extra to my bowl and thanked me for my wait. The menu is limited here, but I saw several plates going out and they all looked so incredibly delicious. Highly recommend, and next time I’m back in New Orleans I will be here more often than once.
Pre pandemic this place was awesome and full of eateries. Sadly as of October 2021 the place is half vacant.
Loved the St. Roch Market. Had to subtract a star because of Elysium. They tried to charge me double for 2 dozen oysters and then shorted me on the order. They gave a quick refund once prompted but didnt seem sincerely apologetic and tried to not give me a receipt to begin with.Pictured: Cold Brew Coffee from Coast Roast Coffee / Charbroiled Oysters from Elysium / Cocktail St. Pierre from The Mayhaw
So glad nola has a cute and trendy food hall! So many options but I went with Coalesce Goods which was the best decision ever. The food choices are all vegan! All youll be thinking is WOW THIS IS DELICIOUS! First of all, the wildberry poptart-I could eat this everyday and still never grow tired. It was the perfect flakey, crumbly crust with a sweet and smooth berry filling and to die for berry icing. I also got breakfast tacos with vegan chorizo which was a blast of intense, fresh and satisfying flavours! The mushrooms especially were delicious and a tangy sweet that I could eat alone. Also, how cute there is two layered corn tortillas and black beans inbetween them! I also cant recall a time that I felt so energized after eating breakfast tacos-Im telling you these chefs create fresh and healthy spins on typically indulgent foods. Both of them were also so friendly and welcoming! The fresh pressed green juice was thirst quenching juice perfection too! Highly recommend!!!
Once again St Roch did not disappoint! On my third visit to the food hall I ordered the Chicken Thai Spring Rolls. My wife ordered the Coconut Curry Chicken Bowl with Noodles. Both selections were very good. You could tell the Spring Rolls were handmade on sight. My wifes food was better than mine! Great fresh flavors and freshly prepared. I love the open feel of St Roch. The ordering system can be a bit disjointed at times but over all a great experience. I will always look forward to visiting St Roch again and again!Chef Ben....out!
Great little market. Youll find a variety of food options here. Sandwiches, Mediterranean. Asian, and a few others. We had sandwiches at the shop immediately to the right after entering. The sandwiches were amazing. There is also a full bar to the back of the market if youd like alcohol with your meal. This a beautiful and enjoyable market to grab a quality bit to eat.
These days every town is opening up its own glorified food court but St. Roch is a food hall with actually interesting and high quality offerings. The creole and seafood shop (Fete Au Fete) is the place to visit, as well as the coffee shop. They also offer Haitian food, asian fare, and a bake shop among other things. I’m excited to see how this market develops.
Had a great time! Lots of personality here and a great bar. Matthew the bartender was terrific! Visit a few of the food stalls and bring your food to the bar to munch and enjoy hand-crafted cocktails!🍸
This indoor food court is one of my favorite places in all of New Orleans. I love the wide varieties of food available, and they are all so artistically prepared and presented. Every order seems like a feast, or a mini-feast, a celebration of deliciousness. I also enjoy simply sitting and relaxing here with members of my family. I’ve visited here at all times of day - the quiet early hours before all the restaurants have even opened... the busy, noisy, crowded midday times when everybody in NOLA seems to be coming to order lunch... the mellow evening hours, too. It’s always fun, and the food is always delightful.
The St. Roch Market has a touch of everything...from delicious artisan coffee, amazing street tacos, sultry seafood, delicious wines, and heavenly cinnamon rolls that will haunt your dreams!A staple of New Orleans thats been around since 1875, its a chef-driven hall of local, independently run eateries, you walk up and order and then take your food to the table of your choosing. They have lots of both indoor and outdoor seating and the place itself has a cool clean vibe! Plus lots of street parking and a little parking lot of pull-in parking is available. From brisket to boudin balls, if your vegan or even gluten free this place has vairety from wall to wall! A satisfying place for every taste!
Had a great spicy chicken sandwich in a cool atmosphere. Not too pricey either.
St Roch market is a great place to get a brunch, lunch and a couple cocktails. The fried chicken and creole spiced fried green tomatoes from buttermilk just kill and the mahaws cocktails are really solid.
We went to the market for breakfast/ brunch. Tons of fun food options including a few local New Orleans staples at different price ranges. I chose cheese grits and an omelet with an iced latte - all was good, especially the grits! The market was buzzing with people and had plenty of communal tables to chose from. Definitely recommend a visit!
Hip eclectic food court (think of food truck complexity without wheels) with unusual dishes, local favorites and healthy international cuisine, cocktails, coffee, juices and fruit teas. Weekend brunch is popular. Outdoor seating. Meals are inexpensively priced. Open late, depending on the crowd, sometimes as late as midnight. Come hungry you will want to try every
Great place to visit when youre looking for food in a hurry. I have 4 stores because there were several open spots where they should have a vendor. If its hard to get menus charge a discounted rate for rent.
Charming place, nice enough folks at the 10 food booths. Clean bathroom. Busy. Little overpriced, but it IS N.O. Vegan restaurant, little day-old but wont keep us from trying again. Outdoor market was nice bonus, w/art vendors, mostly jewelry, plant lady and miscellany. We were able to get food and beverages from 3 different places and all sit together outside. Inside needs clever noise absorbers. After we were here, accidentally exposed to episode of show of 911 medical calls in N.O., and there is 3000/day. So, yeah, it was fun but glad to get out safely. Try Coalesce bc that was the most creative and valuable.
Food courts style eatery with amazing options. There are no chain restaurants here with the same old offerings taking up the space. All restaurants are unique and offer a wide range of food choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner.St Roch Market will be on my list of places to visit when I am in New Orleans!
I dont know how to describe this place but, I FRIGGIN LOVE THE CONCEPT! Several restaurants and food vendors under one roof. If I had to compare the concept to something, I say think of a food truck park, but indoors! Each of my friends and I ordered something different from separate stands. We were all taken back and amazed by this place. Id love to have something like this in Houston! 😊
Oh My! I was watching No Passport Required on PBS, specifically the New Orleans episode and discovered this gem. PBS definitely deserves a tax deductible donation for this recommendation. And Marcus Samuelsson should get a Pulitzer! We had Oysters, Shrimp and Grits and Baked Crab Mac & Cheese. Everything was delicious except the Mac and Cheese. I couldnt find any Crab but the staff was overtly friendly so all is forgiven. My first Swamp Pop was digested here and I could not have been happier. This needs to be replicated in all cities and I already contacted the mayor in Glendale, AZ to get on it.
This place is a lovely way to start the day. Its sort of a free standing food court in one of the older neighborhoods in New Orleans. As I walked in, the first thing I noticed was how spotless everything was. The next was how quietly cheerful and efficient the people were. I originally stopped for just coffee, but stayed for a muffin as well. Im very happy that its only a block away from home. KUDOS
I tried hard to like this venue and indulged in several dishes. The oysters were amazing and I’m from the gulf coast and know a good oyster when I see one. Great grilled from the deli by the front door. I suggest adding chicken to the salad. Excellent frozen espresso drinks. That’s the good part. I am a national traveler who frequents food halls all over the country and I’m familiar with vendors. The vendors were spectacular. Now is the bad part. The supervisor or manager was extremely rude to me. Please read all the comment cards because I wrote a long description about Anna and her attitude towards me and my 3 coworkers. I travel to Nola regularly and have never been treated so rudely. It’s 100 degrees and I asked her for a glass of water and she rolled her eyes and pointed at a self serve water station. She was not even wearing a mask. All the vendors my coworkers and I bought food from were wearing masks. I asked why she wanted me to get my own water and why she didn’t have a mask on and she rolled her eyes AGAIN and told me to get with the program. What if I have Covid and why didn’t she wear a mask? I would give this place 5 stars except for the supervisor who was rude and dismissive about COVID-19. This review would be five stars if it was about the oysters and amazing coffee drinks and deli but I would be negligent if I didn’t mention that myself and my crew were treated very rudely by the manager when we were dying of thirst
A great spot to try some new food, I just wish more restaurants cycled out so I could try more places.
Theres so many places to eat from. Daily Beets is where I chose to eat. Delightful and flavorful. My dish was called the Chimi Chimi. Filling bowl. Great for breakfast or brunch. I love the different textures between the crunch from the pumpkin seeds the creaminess from the avocado and crisp from the leafy greens. To top it off with feta cheese, yum! Definitely give this place a try whenever youre in the NOLA area! *Bonus photos I took of my friends and sisters dish.* Also, dont forget to try their cold-pressed juices.
You can find a bit of everything here! The best spot is the Haitian American restaurant. To die for rice and beans!
Great place to get a good variety of food from different places around the world. The outside seating on a nice day is extra special. Its kid friendly but depending on their taste, they may not like everything on the menus. My picky 14 year old liked the spring rolls and avocado toast. My 9 year old liked the mexican burrito bowl. I had some middle eastern food that was delicious and filling. The only reason for dour stars is the wait times can be a little long and the prices seems slightly high, otherwise we loved it.
Very cute place! Lots of different things to try. From a coffee shop, Mexican food, New Orleans seafood, to a really good breakfast spot. I loved the concept of having all these little places in one big spot. Wasnt too packed when I went so it wasnt difficult finding a place to sit. Food was ready really fast too. Bathrooms were surprisingly clean. This is a good place to stop at for a quick lunch/brunch
Shrimp & Grits at Elysian really is the best. Huge prawns blackened perfectly and the grits well seasoned and great texture.
The St. Roch Market has always served me well. I am very grateful for the experiences and people Ive gotten to meet. The memories that the Market holds for me are endearing.
Helloooo!!! I went this market for lunch in trip to NOLA. There are about twenty different booth to choose from... Coffee, soups, wraps, breakfast, saladas, etc.I bought my lunch in the first booth on the left. I had two eggs on too of a toast with avocado, arugula, and cherry tomatoes. Grabbed my plate and sat at the bar in the back of the market for an IPA.What I dont like is that theres a lot flies and I am sure that a light trap could do a better job that small carnivorous plants. Thanks a lot st roch market!!!
Everyone was unwelcoming. When approaching the vendors, nobody greeted my family and i. One lady literally looked at me and walked away from her station. The food was amazing though.
Cant agree on what to eat? Head to St. Rochs Market where they have something for everyone as well as the Mayhaw bar serving delicious signature New Orleans cocktails.
Excellent, friendly service - great oyster spot inside. Knowledgeable bartenders!
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! FRESH FOOD EVERYWHERE. Chicken Tinga tacos were my favorite and the mango smoothie.
1875 market reborn as a food hall. I cant say enough good stuff about this place. It was packed! I ordered from Fete au Fete and was not disappointed. I spotted the giant biscuits from across the room. Had biscuit and gravy, cheese grits, 2 eggs and house made sausage. Simply amazing! Also tried their jalapeno corn biscuits. So good! Girlfriend had Oeuvos Rancheros (sp?) From another vendor, I forget their name, but it was super tasty too! Highly reccomend! Cant wait to go back!
*pronounced rock* Visiting from Atlanta so it reminded me of Krog St Market or Ponce City Market but better! The food from each vendor was amazing!! Even though we were there late, everyone was so nice. I would love to go back
Absolutely loved this place. A bit off the beaten track but definitely a firm foodie hot spot. Lots of different cuisines to choose from. I try to stick to mainly local dishes like gambo and beans and rice and I was not disappointed. The athmosphere is really good as well and they have a nice bar as well serving great cocktails.
First stop after we landed. Was really impressed by the selection of the food and how nice everyone was. They really have a great variety of food here to try.
Its one of the best places in town with a great menu that comes from several different pop up restaurants in the same building. Youll find anything you are craving there!
Ate lunch here since it is close distance from my Airbnb & couldnt walk to French quarter because of the thunderstorms & heavy rain. My husband ordered the chicken wrap $11. It was delicious. I ordered chicken pho @ T2 $12. The broth was bit sweet to my taste. It was great bowl of pho but not authentic Vietnamese style. It had rosemary for seasoning which very rarely to use in Vietnamese pho broth. Overall, great price I will say same cost or $1 - $2 cheaper than Bay Area, CA.
A good place from eating and drinking. It has lot of options to choose. I ate at EmpaNola. It was delicious. The atmosphere is very casual, with option for open seating. You can just go in, order your food and sit anywhere you find a seat.
The options are plentiful here! The sounds of the place coming alive can only make you smile and fill your heart with warmth.Stop. Look. Listen. Pick a stool near the front window and watch the city come alive! While I stopped by for an iced coffee, I know I’ll be back.
Vibe was awesome and drinks were great!!
Great concept. So many varieties under one roof. We got the turtle brownie from bittersweet confections and blue dream from the daily beet. The brownie was something I would definitely return for. The smoothie was made with all pure ingredients and was 4/5 for my taste. Great market. Had tons of others things.
Beautiful space. Neat idea. Need to find better vendors. The food was subpar. We went on a Monday and the place was a ghost town.
I highly recommend coming here! Especially if you dont know what you want to eat! There is so much diversity that theres something for everybody! I was able to enjoy Egyptian, Malaysian, Italian and Haitian food all in one place! Really great food and service!
I really love the repurposing of this treasured landmark into a multi-restaurant destination. We tried 4 different restaurants and everyone was very pleased...and full! My favorite was the falafel sandwich from the Middle Eastern restaurant. My 16 year old LOVED the buttermilk chicken. My wife had Mexican and enjoyed her meal. My daughter had vegetarian gumbo and said she would definitely get it again! Not bad being able to feed everyone what they want in one place..Oh, dont forget to get a coffee after dinner...really good!
What a wonderful place. Came here as we found a restaurant on Yelp, only to be surprised with this amazing cafeteria. Food was amazing, flea market out side had the perfect hand crafted gifts.
My cousin and I thought we were walking into a restaurant and to our SURPRISE, we walked into about 10 amazing restaurants!!!
So good...and good for you! Really pretty & historical marketplace!
I ate here every day while I was in town and I reccomend it to everyone who tells me they will be in the area! Fantastic variety of food, DELICIOUS, clean, amazing customer service, quick to serve, fun employees, all around BEST food spot!!
My favorite place we ate in New Orleans! Amazing food, good prices, not touristy. Support up and coming restaurants!
Place was filled with ppl. Good breakfast. You get to choose between several different shops. Liked the arrangement. The mango soda was the worst. I threw it literally after 1 sip. I would have given a 5 star rating if not for that. I took the new Orleans special omlette. It was good.
Excelente! One cant go wrong with charbroiled oysters and shrimp and grits. Everything else looked great.
Tight seating and leg room indoors. The diversity of vendors is appealing. The prices that the vendors charge for their products are very reasonable. We ate at Fritai, which is a Haitian eatery.
St. Roch Market is THE place to go if you and your posse are undecided about what you want to eat. Historic market that has been converted to a variety of eclectic and delicious indoor restaurant stalls. There is also plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor. Excellent people watching and some fantastic food.On my most recent visit, I grabbed a Mediterranean platter featuring roasted cauliflower, salad, hummus, and pita from one restaurant and Malaysian rice pudding for dessert from another vendor. From coffee and adult libations to oysters, a deli, and much more, you can find it all at St. Roch Market nestled in the Marigny.
Great selection of lunch options. Beautiful building, fantastic service.
The market is good a few different choices for food and drinks. The photos posted are of a place right across the street that has a bunch of different business in it as well as a small grocery store that has local products.
Stopped in to grab an iced coffee from Coast Roast. The space is absolutely beautiful. Clean, spacious, and lively. I ordered the iced sweet cream vanilla latte. It was one of the best lattes Ive ever had; sweet but potent. My only criticism is that I wasnt hungry enough to try one of the food vendors. They looked and smelled delicious!
Perfect place to go with a group, especially when everyone wants to eat something else. Here everyone can pick for themselves and you still can enjoy a meal together.A great place to tryout some new food. The busboys are working hard to keep the tables clean.
While it wasnt operating at maximum operation, it was still pleasant and friendly. Coast Roasters is a must!
Great selection of foodie spots, and really good coffee. Loved the mocha cold Brew.
Lots of tasty options no matter your dietary restrictions or particular cravings. It is a bustling entrepreneurial food court with multiple businesses sharing a relatively small space.
I love this place. Unfortunately Im not living in New Orleans, otherwise Id come back here every day!Try the Laksa, its a savory piece of paradise.
Super hipster, instagram worthy, food market. Definitely made for tourists. Had oysters at Elysian which were super bland, served by the rudest and most unapproachable server.
I love the breakfast sandwich at Poindexters. And the coffee at Coast Roast is dependably delicious. I just wish more food stalls were open for breakfast.
Looked this up on Google for desserts, had the Coconut Cream Pie. Absolutely amazing - and big, split it in half with my wife. It was a plus to sit outside to enjoy the nice weather!
