I recently moved to New Orleans and was pleasantly surprised by how friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable the pharmacy staff was at this location. Justin and Chawn helped me on my first visit and made me feel comfortable and welcome. I highly recommend this location.

Went in to grab water. I am a senior citizen . They had water, grabbed it for purchase to drink while waiting for trolley. They refused, under any circumstances to allow me to use the bathroom. So, all my items to purchase, I left on the counter and walked out. I will NEVER go to CVS again. Walgreens allowed me to use the restroom.... I understand, that you cannot there are homeless on the street in a filthy city, but there are exceptions. These young kids are too inexperienced and racially discriminating against me as a white.Pathetic. Rude young lady stocking.Dont waste your time. Go to Walgreens, instead. CVS is a joke

I have to say I found the staff to be exceptional at this location. The cashier greeted us when we arrived and even asked if we needed help finding something when we came back around. While further in the store another person stocking asked if they could help us with anything. Ive been to plenty of downtown drugstores the staff at this CVS were top notch.

This is THE place to go to buy alcoholic drinks in or near the French Quarter. CVS prices are very reasonable whether it be at this location on Canal or the one on Decatur. The store on Canal is much larger than the one on Decatur and has a greater selection. All of the Walgreens nearby each of these CVS’s either don’t sell alcoholic beverages or they have a very limited selection and their prices are high. Forget about liquor stores in close proximity to the CVS on Canal. We checked at least 6 and their prices are insanely high for beer, wine and spirits

Great prices and selection, surprisingly unpleasant staff. Everyone in this entire city has been so friendly so its kinda shocking to stumble across someone so rude!To clarify, the counter woman was great, the self checkout woman needs a refresher of proper customer relation training.

After visiting two other stores (including the CVS in the French Quarter) in town to try and use Amazon Cash to reload my gift card balance, and being met with blank stares and general ignorance on the matter, this store took care of it in seconds. It was probably partially my own fault at the other stores, since I was seeing it all for the first time, but an employee here assured me that they could at least try, and it went off without a hitch even though they had just as much experience with it as me. The difference was that they were willing to be persistent. In unrelated news, this is the first CVS Ive ever seen with self-checkout kiosks. Makes sense for a national chain on Canal Street, but still pretty cool to see. Good on em!

Louis in the pharmacy department is a champ! I was visiting New Orleans and lost my meds. He was willing to fill a prescription for a few pills to get me back to Maryland. Then he went out of his way - without my asking - to call my insurance company and have them fill the prescription for a full 30 days. He followed up with me in a timely manner and was so extraordinarily friendly. Thank you Louis!!

Literally got so much attitude when asking for a an actual cashier woman forced us to use a self checkout. Not sure if it was because my family was white or what lady was forcing people to go into certain lines. Absolutely unprofessional and ridiculous whomever was forcing people out because they didnt want to use self check out needs to wake up. This is new Orleans most people are most likely to drunk to check out being a abressive and forceful makes me never want to go back to this place again.

This store has implemented a new self checkout and it SUCKS. I dropped Walmart for this foolishness and CVS is next. After checking my own item, I was advised to move to another register that was for cards as Id unknowingly selected a cash only register. Tuh! Then no receipt printed so I had the displeasure of standing by the door for 5 minutes waiting for a manual receipt to be printed by a human being. Utter nonsense! Farewell.

Employees are chatting with each other while billing. On 3/22/19, Dani tells me ‘you wanna bag these yourself’, when I tell her to not drop my bottles out of the bag. If it wasnt on canal street people would stay from this cvs !Please go a different 24 hr pharmacy if you can.

Very bad experience. My boyfriend and I were buying products for shampooing hair. One of the products was locked inside a box and needed the assistance of a clerk to open the box. The lady at the counter Jaymee was not busy but when we called for her help she was really annoyed and assisted us but she was not really happy to do it. We bought $126.52 dollars of products but the experience was very bad. PLEASE DO NOT COME to this CVS Pharmacy on Canal Street because you may find this person JAYMEE and she may spoil your whole day.

I think this cvs is running a scam - not issuing receipt for purchase - according to manager marlon he closed out sales for the night (9 p.m.) - employee said receipt should go to email - no receipt sent to email. also said if i had to return items i would receive a store credit (because i dont have areceipt); i did not pay with a store credit, i paid with cash.

Very lazy staff, they were in the back talking while 1 worker was at the front trying to get a cashier to come to the front, 10-15 minutes after she called one of the workers decided to saunter up front and then proceeded to open the far back register and ask for the next in line, which was atleast 9 people deep, so us being in the front ended up in the back. The self check out was backed up as there was only 1 on, the person using it did not know what they were doing and what should of been a quick in and out turned into almost 40 minutes.

If you need to quickly pick up some items while youre staying in the area, this is the place. Fairly large selection, reasonably clean, and the employees are actually kind of friendly.Skip Walgreens across the street; they are much smaller; if you need anything outside of snacks, soft drinks, or booze, Walgreens wont have it. CVS might though. We needed a small fan for our hotel room, and CVS had several to choose from.

The security guard here is literally the rudest person on the planet. She was extremely rude to me when I asked where the line started and then after I made my purchase told me that I could not stand around and loiter because apparently it’s illegal to stand in the front of the store. Keep in mind I had already made my purchase. I explained to her that I was waiting 4 mins for my Uber because it was raining outside. She they yells at me to get out and said “I don’t care this ain’t no uber bus stop!” Like really? I am a paying customer you see my bag and my receipt and you see it’s raining outside. My Uber was 4 mins away. She’s the worst. I wouldn’t spend a single penny here ever again. Instead of protrolling me at the front door she should have been paying attention to the teenagers in the back of the store eating the chips right off the shelf. Smh
