Extremely poor service and little to no effort on the employee’s behalf to clarify or rectify error caused by their own team. It’s clear that there is little to no communication within this Uhaul facility, or even between this facility and any corporate/national team.After a UBox which we paid to be delivered to our home was three days late, we were essentially forced to pay another trucking rental fee to have to go pickup up the UBox on a trailer ourselves. Then, after being told we only needed to return the truck and not the trailer with the ubox, a new set of employees told us the trailer had to be returned or the UBox would not be retrieved - so essentially Uhaul charged us to perform the service we had already paid for them to do.Finally, after our third trip back to this Uhaul facility, we received a phone call letting us know they had used bolt cutters to remove the lock off of our UBox (as they had mistaken it for another UBox, which frankly makes no sense) and were now requesting us to make a fourth trip back to the facility.

Terrible. Dont give these hustlers your credit card information you will be charged, then charged again then lied to. NO I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION.

I came and already had my reservation, Destiny stated she didnt see me on the board even though she was able to confirm my reservation. I needed a 26ft truck. Another customer walked in after me with a reservation and needed a slightly smaller truck 20ft or so. The truck she needed was unavailable and they gave her the truck I reserved stating that because she seen her on the board and not me it was first come first served and refused to accommodate me in any way other than telling me I could head to the Slidell location which is 45min away! This is the 2nd time being inconvenienced at this location for something that was no fault of mine. I would not recommend this location to anyone other than for storage of things with little value because even the security here is subpar.

I rented something from this location and was charged an extra day because they said I didnt do self-check in when I returned it. That in itself is a contradiction because the contract they sent me with the extra charges states the charge is $20 NOT an additional day. The employee I spoke with did nothing to resolve the matter but display an attitude and tell me to call 1-800-GO-UHAUL. Do NOT rent from this location. I would not recommend.

A great location. I saw some bad reviews and wonder where these people thought they were going: a 5-star restaurant or a truck rental place. Employees handled the transaction smoothly, answered the questions I had, and while I was there, helped a few others two.The price was decent for the time I had the vehicle. The truck ran great, but of course was a little bumpy as all these trucks are and this is New Orleans, so theres bumps and holes around LOL.Id definitely recommend the location. Well-kept and I was able to get in and out and move the bed I bought safely.

It is no surprise to me that this place was at 3 stars rating to begin with. Not a vindictive person but if I could, I would do everything in my power to make this place reflect a zero. GM John William Springs nonchalant indifference to customer service, is unbecoming his position. I would gladly pay triple the fee, just to avoid U-Haul in the future. **DO NOT GO HERE, SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE**

Please read this before you choose Uhaul.1) When we originally picked up the truck, the uhaul employee didn’t perform a check on the condition of the truck before we left. The front tire was almost completely flat, and the interior was disgusting.2) We waited over 2 hours for uhaul’s roadside assistance to change the tire.3) Uhaul charged us for an extra day despite having the truck in their lot well before (7 hours) the designated drop off time.4) We filled the gas up to over 3/4 of the tank, yet they charged us $8.25 for that as well.5) They charged us a cleaning fee, despite the fact that the truck had mud, sunflower seeds, and jelly gunk in between the seats when we picked it up. (Keep in mind the original location’s employee never performed a check on the condition of the truck.)6) They didn’t provide us with any evidence to justify the cleaning fee. (No pictures like their policy states)7) They charged us an additional $108 on top of all this, and we’re currently disputing it with them. It’s been 3 days since the charge without a proper explanation.8) The uhaul agent at the pickup location was 10 minutes late. (Not a big deal at all, but I have to add so you can get an idea of how frustrating this is when we were understanding with them.)I’ll update this comment with customer service developments. We’re not the type of people to complain about small problems. Agents late? That’s alright, things happen. Tire goes flat? Aggravating, but completely understandable. Interior of the truck is disgusting? Yeah, it’s a moving truck, I don’t expect it to be a rolls Royce. However, when you combine this with the rest of the issues, it’s severely frustrating. I’m writing a letter to their corporate office. I highly suggest taking your business elsewhere.

Great customer service and great experience. No other dealer could find a 4x8 trailer and not only did John help me out he had a 5x8 which was ideal. He was a huge help!!

Tried contacting office three times to inquire about service. Employees answered the phone and was immediately placed on hold. Stayed in hold for about 5 minutes or more each time and no one returned to the phone to answer questions.

Horrible service. Took over an hour to rent. Then they wouldnt let us remark the fuel or mileage which were both incorrect. They then belittled us and charged for gasoline even though we returned it at a little above whwere we picked it up. If you decide to use them, do not trust a manager named John.

My fiancé and I sold our home in Baton Rouge in February 2017 and recently purchased a new home in New Orleans. The home in Baton Rouge sold fast, so we had to put our furniture in storage in Baton Rouge until we found a home to purchase in New Orleans. After closing on the property in New Orleans, we took time off from work this weekend to move the furniture from the storage in Baton Rouge to our new home in New Orleans. My fiancé called the U-Haul on July 25,2017, 6210 Chef Menteur Hwy. New Orleans, LA. and made reservation to pick up a super mover on Saturday July 29, 2017. However, the reservations were made for us to pick up the U-Haul in Baton Rouge at 5PM instead. BIG SCREW UP! When we walked in the U-Haul,6210 Chef Menteur Hwy., New Orleans, we were not acknowledging until the two associates finished discussing what they were going to eat for breakfast. When we were finally acknowledged by a gentle name John. John looked up our information and told us that the pick-up was scheduled at 5PM in Baton Rouge. John did not apologize for the error neither did he show any empathy.I asked for a number to contact John’s boss and he directed me to a 1*800 number that was posted on the door. I then asked if they would accommodate us to get to Baton Rouge since it was there error, and he said probably not, then he suggested that we call UBER. John then flashed his name tag at us showing that he was the owner of that location and basically, he didn’t care if we were unhappy or not because nothing would be done. He even had the audacity to say good luck on getting the issue resolved or just speaking to someone to voice my complaint. I got the impression that John just don’t care about his customers or care about doing what is right by the customers. He even had a smirk on his face and then said “good-by Y ’all have a nice day” VERY DISSATISFIED, UPSET customer. I know that you should never say never. However, I am going to do everything in my power not to ever deal with U-Haul again

When we walked in we were not greeted. We were forced to wait in a long line because they only had one employee helping at the time. At the time of rental, it seemed as if we were rushed to complete the transaction after we waited patiently. The truck we received was HORRIBLE. I had to press down extremely hard to get the Truck to pick up while driving on the interstate and the Service road. The truck made lots of noise. I honestly dont understand why UHAUL would continue to rent this equipment in such poor conditions. I was EXTREMELY dissatisfied with the service that I received at this particular location. I truly hope that this is not a reflection of how ALL the UHAUL locations operate.

Horrible experience! First time ever using this company and Im sure it will be my last! Moving into my 1st apartment is suppose to be an exciting experience. Well uhaul has made this whole moving process a disgrace. I scheduled my reservation for 11:30 and when I got there they said they have it down for 12:00!! Ok whatever...I waited till. Then CAME BACK! And to my surprise they said the moved our reservation to a different location for 12. Sooooo why in the hell would u not tell me while I was there at 11:30. No email no text no call NOTHING!!! Drove to the Tulane location where the lady TOLD ME TO GO!! I even called In advanced to make sure they had it the lady told me yes and when I got there THEY DID NOT HAVE IT!i dont understand a business that is so unorganized. The lady at the gentility location was not even apologetic I am completely disgusting and no one seemed like they had a clue as to why I couldnt get my truck-thanks uhaul

I was charged double my rental period, when on paper it says chargeable rental period 1, fixed by customer service representative and refunded, truck was old and in terrible driving condition. Had to fight with loose steering wheel to keep truck straight entire ride, ride was awfully painful, shocks were terrible, if i rent from uhaul again and the truck is not kind of new i will not accept it .

I had reserved a truck online a few days before I needed it. They called me that morning to tell me it was ready. When I got there, they had given it away and I ended up with something much more than I needed. Rude employees.
