Took my wife and daughter here to shop, my wife was made to feel uncomfortable while shopping because one worker kept watching her the whole time. As far as the cosmetics go, she is very pleased with what she purchased. But I believe customer service may need some sensitivity training

I ordered something online and when I went to pick it up I decided to walk around to see if anything else I was interested in purchasing...bad idea! I wasnt greeted @ the front door and the employee that way near the front door looked @ me and proceeded to walk in a different direction. First time EVER in there. Not one employee offered any assistance and Ive come in contact with 3. So, good luck being treated like a woman who is interested in beauty products in a Beauty supply store. Btw it was on a unbusy Sunday.

I went to Ulta in Christiana Mall for hair service and Diane Davis was the one who cut my hair. She is AMAZING!!! She LISTENED and did EXACTLY what I asked her for plus she did it SO MUCH BETTER than I imagined!! This is the ABSOLUTE BEST hair cut I have ever done! I will definitely come back! I would give Diane 100+ stars if I could!

Selection was good, but they didnt have the fragrance I was looking for in the store. To add it was $199 for them to order it for me vs the $170 to order it myself through their website. The price discrepancy made me order it myself.

ASK FOR JOANIE! I went on the day before my son got married and asked for EVERYTHING. I havent worn much makeup in the last decade so I wanted to buy all new, and this wonderful lady stuck it out with me picking colors helping me deal with sensitivity,and my mature skin! Helping pick the right colors and products for me. I hope the manager knows shes a gem.

The hours on the website state 10am-6pm. When I arrived in the store at 10am, I was told the first hour is dedicated for the elderly and individuals with compromised immune systems. I understand that but how is this happening after quarantine? Also, is that a policy at all stores? How do you determine by just looking at someone and not asking questions that they do not have a compromised immune system? I felt dismissed.

Since COVID you cant test makeup...so its much more of a guessing game on matching colors. Staff tries to help but could a virtual try-on be set up?

Always helpful and friendly when I visit. One time I couldn’t find a product on the shelves and one of the lovely ladies went to the back and got it for me.

Lots of new products

I know the sale associates aren’t going to test every product & be able to give an honest review. But at the same time products that are “popular” or “new”, maybe they should be a little knowledgeable about. Just a suggestion. Or even a little attentive to customers. Maybe greet them? When you’re not doing anything but standing behind the register talking to another associate.I have worked retail. If a customer had a question about a product that I wasn’t sure about, I would offer to pull up the reviews/product info for the customer, Instead of just “I don’t know”. The goal is to sell. Not turn customers away. (I went to another cosmetics store nearby and bought the same product+more because of their insight on the product)And counting stacks of cash behind the counter (not at the register) doesn’t seem very professional.I dont think I will be returning to this location because of the lack of professionalism and customer service.

I am very disappointed in how I was treated during my appointment for makeup. I booked an appointment to have my makeup done professionally for birthday. I checked in at the desk in front of the salon on time, yet I was not greeted by anyone! I finally made eye contact with one of the hair stylists who waved someone down for me. This woman hurredly rushed over and asked who my appointment was with I let her know I didnt make it with anyone in particular I just booked for 5:00 pm. She then told me to have a seat in their waiting area. I waited for 23 minutes, not a single employee let me know what was going on! I then got up and went to the makeup counter to ask for help with getting a few things to do my own makeup as I had to be at my birthday dinner within the hour. The employee that helped me was great, but when I spoke to the manager she told me that I should have spoken to the salon manager! How was I to know who the salon manager was when no one spoke to me while I was back in the salon? I guess the store manager went back to speak with the salon manager and she came back reporting that I was recorded as a no show. I then stated that I checked in on time for my appointment, and I was told to have a seat, and waited 23 minutes. The store manager then asked me to point out who checked me in. I looked around the salon and did not see the woman that checked me in, but I did point out the stylist that made eye contact and waved down the woman who check me in. The stylist stated that the woman that checked me in, left at 5:00pm. So basically she never checked me in. There was no resolution of the situation. They offered me a late appointment that I couldnt take. It was more so the lack of care they showed. They didnt care at all, and I ended up spending more money anyway so I am absolutely sure the manager did not care! Never again!

I love the salon here. First time I came here and got my hair done I didnt leave wanting to cry. Mary does amazing work and is super friendly to boot. Other staff also very pleasant.The store itself is wonderful too. Very knowledgeable staff and they find someone to help if they dont know. One of my favorite places to shop for make up.

I absolutely love their makeup. I am just starting to wear makeup (Im 13) and got a starters box for my 13th birthday. I have used this and its amazing and I will definitely be coming back here very soon because I have also gotten $100 dollars for my birthday and will be get the James Charles mini palette.

I had no idea what kind of makeup I should buy. But Nikki and Abby took their time and color matched foundation for me and picked out the cutest colors that look great on me! The took their time explaining everything to me.They were very knowledgable, friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back!!

We had questions about couple of products and she kept rolling her eyes at us. She thinks she is so much better then everyone else. I got news for her... she is NOT!!

The Ulta Beauty at Concord Mall is 1000 times better then the one at Christiana Mall hands down!!! The only reason I didnt give them one star was because of the girl that helped me with skin care. The manager was so rude because Ive been having issues trying to find my shampoo and conditioner in store and online and the only thing she could do was give me a voucher for free shipping well guess what you already get free shipping for spending over $50. So Im NEVER going back to that store worse experience ever

I have consistently had great experiences at Ulta Beauty in Christiana Delaware. I have been a customer there for over 2 years now and I have never been disappointed in the services I have received. The staff is always kind, accommodating and professional. My stylist Mary is TERRIFFIC! She listens to what the issue is and she can make magic with a pair of scissors! She also gives me great feedback and recommendations when I want to try something new. I have been with the same stylist for over 2 years which is a long time for me and I have no intention of finding a new one!

I got a balayage done by Tatiana and it is literally so beautiful. She was super nice, answered all my questions and the results were absolutely phenomenal!!!

Candace B. is amazing! After Sephora gave me a look that was nowhere close to what I requested, I quickly called Ulta and they got me in right away. Even with a booked schedule! Candace went above and beyond with my makeup. Will definitely be returning for events in the future!

I had a wonderful experience at salon. Jacyln was awesome with her work. I have never felt so good with a hair styling before. She did talk to her colleague while styling but unlike others so did not stop styling to talk. She have work more priority and I appreciate that. My hair feels silky soft and bouncy. Nice store that keeps all of the demonstrator items clean/unbroken and available to try. Its also always a bonus to purchase makeup in a store with no taxes.

First time there I tried to ask employee a question and it felt like I was bothering her. And she really didnt answer my question. I ended up leaving without buying what I went there for because I couldnt get help finding it

Before I begin the part that makes me angriest is that no alternatives to Ulta canceling my appointment were offered.Booked an appointment for hair and makeup on a Thursday. It’s very hard to get these scheduled this time of year in the area. The system gives you a list of stylists and you can select one in particular or to pick “anyone” which I did. The next day I received a message asking me to confirm my appointments for Saturday which I did. Saturday morning I get a call saying the hair stylist selected doesn’t do makeup and in the end the morning of my event to which I really needed to look my best Ulta has no one to perform the confirmed appointment from the previous day. Got a so sorry from the salon when they called to cancel ok thanks but so sorry doesn’t help me at this point.I know my fault if this was so important I should have planned better but don’t ask me to confirm appointments with someone that can’t perform the services requested and leave someone high and dry for something important. If I would have known this to be the case Thursday I could have tried someone else. Now it’s too late to schedule the day of.Needless to say not going to try Ulta again.

Came in a few weeks ago for a haircut and some highlights. I go to Ulta to buy makeup, but it was my first time using them for my hair. I LOVE my new hair and had an amazing experience there! My stylists name was Mary and she was so professional and fun to be around. It felt like the time just flew by. The other staff around were also very friendly and attentive. Mary had a few ideas for my hair and I absolutely love how it came out. I got so many compliments the week it was done and I will definitely be a long time client of Ulta and Mary!

I was not aware Ulta did facials until someone mentioned it when I commented how her skin glowed. I have had two facials by Vee and I am extremely pleased how she asked questions about my current skin care regiment and products. The facial she gave me was tailored to my skin. I highly recommend having a facial by Vee.

So huge and full of everything you could possibly imagine to help you with all your beauty needs. I went in and was helped to learn how to shape my eyebrows properly and explained the right products to use. Super helpful and professional.

I came here after my usual salon cancelled on me. A friend of mine told me about this salon and said how great they were. My stylist, Mary was awesome and super personable. I briefly told her what I was looking for and she did an amazing job. I typically get all over highlights and a painted balayage look. I couldnt be happier with my experience, I got the same look for a cheaper price than my usual salon.. with no wait time! I highly recommend Ulta salon and will be returning.

Felt rushed. I knew the categories of makeup. I wanted, but did not know what would suit my age and complexion. I wanted high end makeup because I was looking for quality. I explained that I wanted a professional look. I was basically walked around the store and asked what I liked. No discussion about color choices, textures, brands. I spent over $200 dollars and feel like I did not make the best choices or get everything that I wanted.

The store is very clean and you can see they are keeping up with the cleaning!

Ulta has a HUGE variety of cosmetics and tools, everything from Drug Store to High End. They also carry a wide selection of hair care and bath & body items. I think the Benefit Brow Bar is AWESOME and absolutely LOVE their Skin Care section! Ive always been able to find what Im looking for and their prices are very reasonable.

I have been getting my hair done at the salon since it opened and you could not ask for a better experience. I always book with Mary but the other stylists are also wonderful! Mary takes the time to really listen to what I want and if I am not sure what I want she is extremely helpful and honest in trying to come up with a new concept for me. I really trust her expertise which is huge for me!

I just wanted to give Abi a shout out for a great makeup application and tutorial. Abi really took care of my mother who has been struggling with fine lines and maturing skin. She really knows her products and was extremely informitive. We had a great time and felt comfortable, like we have known her forever.Abis energy is very upbeat and bubbly .My mother and I were drawn to her by her personal makeup application which was flawless. A lovely lady inside and out . Ulta is blessed to have such a gem on there team ! We will definitely be back for other services.

Disappointed that an offer of bonus points did not result in my receiving the points. I questioned the cashier when my receipt did not show the points and was told to check online. Over a week later, no points. A call to Ulta Customer Service yielded apologies but nothing else. Apparently the offer is now expired. When I made the purchase the offer was active and had I known there was a problem I would have questioned the missing points immediately. Cashiers should be aware of all offers and Ulta Customer Service should be more open to helping a disappointed repeat customer.

This is not the best place to go for a makeover. The cosmetologist had a cosmetology license posted, but seemed somewhat vague and directionless with it. I had to prod her for stuff like my eyebrows, which were the biggest deficiency on my face and should have been priority numero uno for the makeover. She was nice, but thats not really a special skill; anyone whos not a sociopath can be nice. Overall it wasnt worth the $30 for the result. I posted the after pic to reddits truerateme and got ranked a 4, even lower than my previous awful rating of a 4.5! Even my best friend said that the makeup washed me out and didnt play up my features enough, and admitted that the makeup I did myself in my car parked in a dimly lit parking garage did more for my features.

I love Ulta Beauty. I love high end AND drugstore makeup items and I love that I can get both here!

Smaller Ulta Store. Overall, the Makeup Artists were very helpful and informative. Only con was they didnt carry a few brands, Mac and Estee Lauder. But I was treated well and they assisted me in finding something comparable.

Ive never had a bad experience at Ulta, but today I experienced a really rude and aggressive employee when my friend and I were browsing the Tarte makeup. She asked if we needed help and we said no, but then she demanded we tell her what we need help with. She got almost angry that we told her we were just browsing. She wasnt friendly, and it seemed like she was trying to bully us into a sale. We ended up not buying anything.

My husband and I were traveling from out of town to take our 12 year old granddaughter shopping for her mother for Christmas. Since I use a lot of the same makeup that my daughter uses, we travel to this location close to their home buy new makeup brushes and new makeup for her mommy. Although I understand the holiday season can be quite busy and rushed, there were several Associates that were not willing to help us and were downright snobby. And we live in New York, so for me to call someone snobby thats saying a lot. After dropping more than $400 for makeup a new makeup brushes purchase the only person who was friendly was the check out young lady. Just a quick reminder for those who work in this type of retail industry. We may have been dressed very casually and not too fancy, but when I come into an establishment and Im about ready to make a large purchase I expect to be treated with respect and if I have questions I expect to be treated reasonably not with an attitude. It was also a good lesson on retail sales for my granddaughter, and one of the other associates was actually rude to her! I have never given any Ulta beauty store a rating such as this, however, this experience was not friendly, I felt disrespected, and I have also decided to write to headquarters since I shopped often at my local Ulta and have never had this type of experience.

Alexis your head cashier was very disrespectful. She consistently rolled her eyes every-time I had a question about something. She made me feel very uncomfortable at my visit. I asked one of the cashiers her name because she didnt had a name tag on her. I was miss treated because i looked Spanish. Im very surprise to see you made Alexis a head cashier it seems to me you allow this kind of behavior in your locations so your employees can disrespect people from different origin. If your store continues to disrespect me or my background I will not recommend Ultra beauty to my friends or family to go there. Alexis got a little loud with me just because i had a question about my rewards the way she explained it to me it was more confusing then ever.

I went to here a week ago with a friend who assured me that Ulta had an excellent salon and was less expensive than other salons in the area. Not only was Ulta more expensive than my normal salon, but the colorist ruined my hair.She dyed the top portion, my roots, a bright orange and the bottom portion, the rest of my hair, a reddish brown. It was obvious when she washed it out that she had made a mistake, so she tried to dye it a uniform color. I wouldnt be upset-- Ive had colorists dye my hair darker than I wanted before-- but the fix only worked for a week. And she charged me for the extra color.So now I have to go and pay $150 to get the bad dye job fixed and hope it doesnt ruin my hair, which Ive been growing out for the past year. Not only will I never go here again, but I will never recommend this salon to anyone. Ever.

Very long line and never saw a Manager get involved to help out. Great service from person who eventually waited on me when it was my turn but POOR reflection upon Store Management for not keeping any eye on the Flow of the Store. Every time Ive been to SEPHORA in the Mall, I always see every Employee communicating with each other on walker talkie system. If the Manager was in the back then that means Low Level employees have been made afraid to ask for help out front because there is a line of people or they werent trained to ask for help. Either way it falls right back on Poor Management.
