Hillside completed a ductless heating and a/c system made by Mitsubishi for our home. 18k Btu unit (indoor and outdoor).I rarely write reviews but the work was so good that I want to submit a review in this case! From removal of the p-tak unit that had serviced our downstairs for 20 years, to patching the block work, running the 220 electrical line, installing the indoor and outdoor units, and then training us how to use the remote, the service was professional performed by clearly expert staff. We worked with Jerry to design the replacement, including its location, and he delivered the installation exactly as we had agreed. He met with us on 3 occasions prior to installation to make sure he had covered all of our questions. We took several bids before settling on Hillside. The company bid an excellent price, provided the best warranty package, and planned all trades to complete tasks in just 1.5 days! We cant be happier.

Everyone I have encountered at Hillside has been extremely professional and knowledgeable. I get oil deliveries from them as well as the service on our Oil heater and AC unit. The techs will give you real advice without pushing a particular product or service. Its refreshing to have this kind of service as Ive had other HVAC services that only use their maintenance calls as a way to sell you additional products or services that arent needed or warranted. Hillside has always been prompt in responding to me and they are always on time for the service calls.

Let me say, I did a lot of looking around before I picked Hillside Oil. I wanted a company that had good reviews and service. While, everyone has good reviews I made appointments with 3 heating companies only to find Hillside has the best deal to come out and see the problem for $59. They called me to confirm the appointment the night before and the worker Tom was great. Straightforward and honest. Gave me options about cleaning the Oil heater. and an estimate of what was to come. Came back out to do the work and same thing. We stopped using our heater 10 years ago and have been burning wood in the wood stove and decided to get the ol girl going again. 1 year ago we had another company come out to get her going again and said we needed a new motor to the tune of $2200. Tom figured out a dead bat was stuck in there and removed it. Thats the kind of service I want, someone who is truly trying to fix a problem and not just giving a solution because they dont want to really diagnose the problem and immediately go to replacing something that does not need replacing. Tom was always on time friendly and efficient. Great company that really stands behind their service.

This company was a surprise. Although I have seen their trucks around for the 26 years I have lived here, I never had them in for service or to provide oil delivery.I had them install a new ThermoPride oil fired furnace. They were responsive, professional and did an excellent job of installing the new system. They corrected issues from prior installations and left the work area better than when they arrived.Their prices were competitive with other companies and their install lead time was only a couple of weeks. Ellis the service technician was phenomenal. We had our air back on within the day. He looked over everything to make sure he truly found the problem, and it ended up saving us a new motor and money him being thorough. He also allowed me to watch and ask questions about what he was doing as Im a curious person and like learning about new things (or understanding what is going on).Highly satisfied with this experience from start to finish and will definitely be calling Hillside again should anything else happen.

Our AC was not blowing cool air in the first day of summer of all days! Called Hillside Saturday night and left a message as it was not an emergency. Promptly got back with us first thing Monday morning and our technician was here around 11am. We had a blown capacitor. He was professional and quick. Up and running in right around an hour from when he arrived. Also said he would gladly wear a mask of he had to come inside, which says a lot that we didnt even have to bring it up, he was on it! Loved our experience and will call back again.

We had a new unit installed and it was a great experience! There was a small snafu with a defective thermostat, but Hillside responded quickly and sent a tech right out to fix it. Very pleased with the customer service and Jerry, George and Joe were both friendlyand professional!

I love my Mitsubishi mini-split !!! The service from the first meeting to the install was friendly, on time, and professional. Now I can use my 3rd floor loft and my 2nd floor bedrooms are cool as can be. I wish I had done this years ago.( It was installed on June 26th- just in time for the really hot weather.)

Hillside has been great in my experience. I had formerly been a Wilson Oil and Propane Customer and had a variety of issues with them. Trying to resolve these issues I would have to wait on the phone for a little while until a third party service would pick up for me to leave a message for Wilson. I was done and shopped around a little bit. I called Hillside and someone from Hillside picked up immediately and was able to accurately answer everything I wanted to know about the company. I have gotten my oil filled by them twice now and delivery is timely. Local Company that you can trust

Had a great first appointment. They were on time, friendly, and provided great service. Scheduled a follow-up appointment with them. I had that appointment established with them for TWO WEEKS and they decided to call me mere hours before the schedule appointment time to cancel on me, after I had already taken a day off of work to be home for them. That’s not how you do business. Now i’m out of a day off of work AND a service appointment. They did not even apologize. Bad business. Do not make appointments with Hillside unless you like being cancelled on.

Jerry and his crew provided the service to do the installation for my conversion to Natural Gas recently which included installing my new heater and a/c and I couldnt be happier that I signed a contract with Hillside. The work was done on time and I had no problems at all. Even now, if I have a question, Jerry is prompt to return my calls and/or emails. I like to use locally owned companies but sometimes I am hesitant to do so. NOT with Hillside. When I owned my rental property I used this company for HVAC, water heater, and even fireplace. They been their back backward to help me. One time my, who cant drive, was the only one who can meet them, and they drove her so she didnt have to walk on a busy road for a mile. They also came out on a Sunday to replace a water heater that was not in a safe condition. Thats just 2 of many examples.I have nothing bad to say about them. They were wonderful to me.

Hillside Oil Heating & Cooling has done extensive work for me from remodel work to my hydronic baseboard heat to installing new central AC units. I even had them replace an old and failing oil tank. I have been a Hillside customer for several years. I ran out of oil on a Saturday night. I called the company and left a message what my situation was. Nothing happened. I called Sunday at 7:40 am ...nothing. I called Cochran Oil, where I am not a customer, they answered the phone...NOT an answering service .. and are coming right out.

I wish I could give no stars to this company. Do not believe the ads that you see when you go to the movie theater. Our heat went out on 12/27 during a really bad cold snap. First we called another company who came right out and gave us an estimate that we thought was a little high so we called Hillside for a second opinion. The tech who came out came in and saw the litter boxes we had in the basement and immediately pulled his shirt over his face and said That will put me in the hospital. Ok, so if you are a service tech for a living, dont you make sure dispatch checks to see if the home has cats if you are so deathly allergic? I believe he was saying he was allergic to the litter though which Ive never heard of. But anyway he goes out to his truck to call in and whine and i guess they told him he needed to finish the call because he came back in, wrote down the model number of our furnace and then stated they wouldnt be able to get the part until after the New year on 1/2. So we had to go through a long holiday weekend with no heat but ok, if that is what has to happen then well wait. We went and bought a bunch of space heaters. So Tuesday comes, no call from Hillside. On Wed my husband calls in to find out when the part will be in and dispatch responds that Our tech is not available for that residence! Wont give any specific reason why or even send out a different tech. And also had no plans to call us and tell us they didnt want to do the job! I cant emphasize enough that no one should use this company. Their customer service is atrocious. Apparently they make enough money that they dont need to worry about pleasing their customers or making sure they have good word of mouth. Please dont support this business there are many other local business who deserve our support and would appreciate it!
