There are so many types of groceries that are well organized.The vegetables are also fresh.I felt that the price was also cheaper.I really like this shop.

This store has a bit of everything Well stalked n good prices. I have fun here. Be prepared to get the little extras for the house.

The prices are extremely reasonable, wise isles to walk around with a big wide cart, almost everything is available you need. Main thing is that vegetables and meat sections are clean with quite low prices.I always go to food max for grocery shopping.

I really like going to many foodmaxx not only because my dad and i used to shop here back when i lived in Newark i live in san leandro and i come to newark only to shop here yes crazy huh! 🤣😊but i do it cuz its a clean store and also the customer service here its amazing. after new store manager Matt came and takes care of this store u can see the differences. I like to come because the employees know me know and its nice to walk in the door and be greeted i feel welcome i feel like family to be honest many people can complain but must be the ones that have come one day or two times but i come at least 4 times in a week believe it or not i rather drive all the way over there because this store is a clean store and its always organize not like other foodmaxx you go and have bunch of boxes on the floor like the lewelling store i had to go to the lewelling store and i was stress just by being there .but this store in newark has a great costumer service!!!! im short and im glad theirs many tall guys that work there because i always need help reaching the item that are on the top.too bad i couldnt get to take a picture of every aile but if you want to shop at a clean store this is the one.ive also had a chance to talk with the manager Matt couple times he is a very polite man i see why he has great team .his doing something right Thank you to all the Foodmaxx Staff in this store im so thankfull that you all work here and dont even think of moving these people because store wouldnt be the way it is thanks to them all .you guys are my heroes for keeping me feeling safe while shopping here.the prices are great too everything is so organize that i always grab many things .cant help myself ! 🤭🤗 if i didnt have a job i would come and apply here i really like the envirement and i tell all my coworkers to come and shop here.Big Thanks to all these Amazing Employees especially .i really apreciate them working so hard to keep this store in a amazing shape!I recommend 100%!!!!!!!!

I really like this place for my groceries. In Summer, I find watermelon with seeds only at this place. Great choices. Neat and clean and never had any issues with counter people either. Prices are decent as well.

On my way over there now. I like the Newark location alot more than the Fremont store. I really like the staff. They are always friendly and helpful. The store is always clean also. No spills on the floor etc.

I wish I have the option to give zero stars. Almost all shelf are empty and what ever products or produce they have is TRASH. Never stop here, wast time.Wake up guys.

The only place that has meat right now. I go into Luckys and Safeway and theres hardly any meat in the store. Prices here are perfect and Im able to stay within my budget. Produce is good as well and the store is very clean. No funky milk smell in the dairy section at all!!!

I would recommend people to avoid this store its so bad. I have never gone here and not faced a 20 minute wait at the registers. Everything would be perfect except theyre the only store that doesnt have self check out and for whatever reason they never have more than 2 cash registers open. No matter how long the lines are. It is absurdly long just to check out if I could give it less than one star I would.

Great shopping experience at 6am for seniors. No more than 3 other shoppers to spread the virus! Lower prices are great also

Spaces between aisles are bigger than any grocery stores Ive been to, making it perfect for people who hate bumping into other shoppers. Check out is always quick, much faster than Safeway or Walmart. There is a huge variety of groceries and I formative labels for max savings and lowest prices. They have hand sanitizer too.

I love FoodMaxx when your favorite product no longer there your, I should have checked sooner or went back next day....keep up the great service!!!

Great store for bargain grocery shopping in the area. Nothing fancy just what is needed to display the items and sell the items - no fancy display or demonstration! Bagging my own grocery is fun and reminds me of my younger days working! They carry the major brands needed and their house brand. The house brand works and cost less!

When I lived in Newark I went there to do all my food shopping. Really good prices, good selection. Produce is very good and fresh, and the meat selection is pretty decent as well. Youll notice right away youre saving a lot of money buying your groceries at FoodMaxx.

Prices are fine. But good luck checking out. If the store is not busy there is only one cashier and long line. If the store is busy there are two or three cashiers and long lines.

Good store as far as clean and well stocked. However, management really needs to staff with more Cashiers. I am standing in a line of 40 with only 3 cashiers on deck. Not cool. If you are big on customer service, this is really not the way to go.

Prices are good, just the amount of check out cashiers they have at times. Not enough resulting in long waits. They should be calling for more when one line starts to get long and when both lines are 5 deep. Its like where are the people?

Food Maxx. A.K.A. Food-4-Less. Nothing has changed since the 1980s! Except the prices at this grocery store super maxx high. The store forces trough every aisle like a maze. And there is one check out line open to serve 50 customers. They do carry fresh farm raised trout all the time. Which is strange. But everything else sucks.

Man WHAT HAPPENED to this place ?Many of the food items i bought were near spoilage...Milk, Sausage, Hamburger, Chicken. Even the ice cream. I checked the Sell By dates and theyre not GREAT but still should have been fine. Im thinking improper handling/refrigeration. 2 weeks worth of groceries-shot. I will NOT be returning.

I love FoodMaxx because they are cost effective. They have quite a big selection and the stores I frequent tend to have a Mexican lean in terms of goods and options but I can generally find everything I need that would typically be in your more mainstream super markets. I particularly like these FoodMaxx specific items: French Bread, Rolls, Chocolate Chip cookies. All these are outstanding by my taste buds and I will generally only buy the breads if they are fresh out of the bakery. You can tell if they are either warm, or leave a slight water vapor coat on their containers. If you see that, but and eat as soon as possible because it is so good. A word of caution on the veggies. They are generally good but I find that they will not last as long in storage or the fridge, so really buy them here if you intend to cook them within 1-2 days or risk it spoiling sooner than you would like.

They dont have sanitized carts and sanitizing supplies are way off in a corner not easily visible

There is usually only 3 checkers max regardless if the lines are long or short, but they move pretty quick. They also have free samples a lot.Update July 2020- this is my favorite store to go to. They are always stocked up and helpful.

Ran in last night to get a few things, my bag was too heavy to carry out, there were not enough workers in the store to help, so the kind gentleman in line behind me carried my grocery bag out to my car.. Great prices, and selection! I love that they carry products such as Miltons bread and a variety of Tillamook icecream! Since moving here from southern California Ive had to drive around to find the products we know and love. Finally I can shop at one store for just about Everything!

Food max has everything I need. Even a nice selection of healthy and organic foods. The lines are usually short and the staff is fast and courteous.

Great place for organic and oriental foods. Only thing that is bad about it is the lines. (Oh, the lines) so long. Time your attack perfectly otherwise you will be in for the wait of your life.

Bad management the lines are always way too long and only 2 cashiers open. Good otherwise if you dont mind having some 8 customers ahead of you to pay. Today created a pretty negative environment the cashier threatened to just walk out the cashier should not have to be subjected to customer impatience. Management has got to get it together.

The cashiers are friendly, but you will never ever find someone to help you while youre looking around the store. Lines are always long too. But...they have good deals. So, Ill still be shopping there.

I come from the Union City FoodMaxx their cards dont work nothings ever filled in the produce I have to drive in the car cuz Im handicapped and the people there are so friendly and so helpful the place is clean clean clean so nice it was so nice Ill be driving out here once every two weeks to get my groceries thanks so much have a great day
