My experience at this Dollar General was not that good the store is big and has a good selection. But this store is dirty and unorganized there are boxes everywhere and everything looks trashed. And they don’t have a public bathroom ether. The employees are decent but I would not recommend this Dollar General location

They do their best all things considered. Most things are in stock, staff isnt the friendliest, but most will help if you ask and are normal. Prices are usually better than other dollar stores in the area.

General Dollar is official. They have everything you need at very affordable prices. They are no different than Family Dollar. My only problem with them is that the store is aways unorganized and not fully stock. I know I can not be the only person that feels that way. Either than that, there detergent and dish liquid is official. Despite my personal feelings about the store,its a good company to invest in. There stock is over $100.00 Dollars a share. They are doing something good as a company.

I love Dollar General, I can usually find whatever I am looking for when I go in there. Staff is very polite and always very helpful. Love love love that store on Market Street.

Big store no staff, messy, covid violation, theft upon arrival, lack of knowledge on DG pick up, rudeness, no support on DG shop from home. Plane and Simple =Ratchet in wrong place.

This dollar general never has milk and the store is packed with boxes everywhere. The store is very dirty and everything is unorganized.... :( the only reason why I go there is because I have no car and I have no choice but to stop there being that its in front of my bus stop

Id say about a third of the time, the looks like its been ransacked, but the other two thirds offer a nice experience. They need more cashiers on at one time though, as far too often, theres only one. Checkout could be faster and the staff need to work on their customer service skills. The last time I went my cashier literally said, I hate when the customers try to have a conversation with me, as I walked up to the register. Excluding the staff, the store isnt bad.

I love going to this store

Dollar General was a nightmare today they uboats with merchandise blocking the aisles, they were short staffed and the customers were giving the 2 cashiers a hard way to go. People please have consideration in this time. I was on line 15 mins because both customers were putting stuff back making the cashiers take stuff off there order. People if your not prepared to check-out please dont get on line and make everybody else suffer.

I love this DG first time visiting this store. The store is clean very quiet and had a 100% off this week coupon sales item. I loved it, I went at a slow time, so there were only a few other customers and the check-out was no waiting.

They have good prices &Brand names&Nobody be following you around while shopping

This store is always a mess. They have merchandise everywhere. Always a line at the register Always 1 cashier. Its ashame because store is in the downtown area alot of customers dirty store n poor customer service.

First time there, very well stocked, good customer service skills, no problems, could find everything that we were looking for.

Last time I visited was towards the end of the month 2 registers open one of the cashiers was flirting with some guy which was holding up the line and it was hot in the store when it was pretty warm outside. Check the store times when it’s not crowded I go for laundry detergents and cleaning supplies use the coupons to save money instead of paying full price save your coins. They so carry variety of food items if you can’t get to the supermarket.

Ive never been to the dollar general before and I must say that for this store to be in a relatively prime area, it was barely stocked and the floors were dirty. However, the customer service personnel was nice hence the 1 star. Maybe Ill try them out again and change my review.

This one could ne stocked better than it is. I have more security following me than employees helping me. The place is dis organized and messy. It needs to have more employees working and keeping it clean. It just needs a better management

Super mini Walmart. Its great they have lots of cool stuff and great prices on most stuff. I would go again and recommend. However I would like to see their Health and Beauty aisle stocked better and a shorter line at checkout.

Never restocked the shelves and the product is right there in the isles but there are no one to put the merchandise on the shelves. What are the customers supposed to do, with no food

This Dollar General has to have the nicest, friendliest employees of any store I have shopped in decades. Great prices, well stocked and clean. You cant go wrong shopping here.

This store offers a lot to the locals,a wide variety of products. The prices reasonable. however, check out is still in the 80s and customer service moves at a glacier pace at best when checking out. There is never enough registers open, even during high volume times in the store.

You can find a great variety of products at a low price. One thing I dont like about this store is that they treat customers as thiefs. From the moment you enter the store to the moment you exit you have all eyes on you which in my opinion makes it an uncomfortable environment. The stuff can be rude at times. If you are planning to get a job here not the best place to work at.

Was honestly my first time in the downtown store and its bigger than I thought. The large was clean and was completely stocked up. I still obviously prefer only paying a dollar at Dollar Tree for certain things, but they definitely have a larger variety here.

Depending on what day you go the place is organized but other times the store is upside down with boxes all over the place and products out of stock However the prices are good and most of the staff is friendly and willing to help and the bus is at the corner so convenient to travel

General Dollar located on Market street and Hasley street located in the old Macys building in Newark business district. Great deals, the store very orderly and store staff very kind. This is a place where food items and accessory type items for the home and your car can be brought and sold here. The prices are low and the food items many. It is a good place for people with a budget.

Nice black young guy let me use his phone because my western union wouldnt go thru on my phone.. He didnt rush me or anything.. The lines were quick & they were fast workers. Wish i worked there with wonderful ppl like them.. No attitude. Maybe cuz they were men most females have attitudes like they hate their jobs. Great place to shop except for that time i bought the expired candy and when i opened it the candy was dried up. Otherwise i would highly recommend Dollar General.

Even though, this location is large & has potential to be great like the location in N Arlington, this place is always under stocked, messy, and unorganized. Love DG, but all DGs dont represent the name well. I tend to visit this location because it is close to my job. thats the only reason, I tend to visit here!
