Friendly knowledgeable staff and good location. Communication was TERRIBLE. I had to follow up atleast 4 times over weeks on my warranty product after promises of call backs. Process took over a month and I still had to contact Troy built to update them and finalize everything.

(5/19/20 Review) Submitted a quote request through the John Deere website with this dealer for a 2025R TLB. They are one of the few local dealers that did actually reply to my initial quote request so they get the one star for that but now I have been waiting two weeks for the quote to be updated with attachments (plow, mid mower, box blade). I have the financing through Deere approved already and now I am sitting around waiting. I have contacted the representative I was dealing with (David) several times about getting the updated quote and have heard a few excuses and a few promises to have it for me today but alas today has never come for me. Nothing better then feeling like your business is not worth their time, but that appears to be an industry standard for Deere dealers when you submit a quote request via their online quote system.(5/20/20 Review). Posted my previous one star review and comments late on 5/19/20 and early 5/20/20 management reached out to me via an email and phone call in respect to the issue. I updated the rating from 1 to 3 stars as it is obvious that management at this dealer does care about customer feedback. Having to complain to get attention does not sit well with me so I have decided not to do business with Atlantic Tractor and have moved on with my tractor buying process with a different dealer much farther away. I do however appreciate the fact that management does pay close attention to customer feedback thus I wrote up this revision to my previous review.

They picked up my snowblower the next day. They called me and said that they needed to order a cable that broke. They said they were sorry that it would not be ready before the next storm which was coming the next day. This wasnt their fault.

Bought my L300 lawn tractor from them a couple of years ago. I have always found their service to be excellent. Luckily the tractor fits in the bed of our pickup. I drop it off for maintenance once a year usually in February or March when they are not too busy. Donna always makes sure they hand-tighten the bolts that hold the blades. Over the mowing season, I usually just take blades in to be sharpened, so if they use a pneumatic tool and are not careful, I can’t get the blades off for sharpening. Have not had a single problem.

Ive bought 4 tractors, chainsaws, weed eaters, and all my parts from Atlantic tractor, Newark, DE. The staff there is always friendly and helpful.See David Poutre in sales. This place sucks. Once they have your money - good luck. Our brand new JD tractor broke after 15 minutes of use - the belt came off. They refused to come to us to fix it. They refused to pay for a local shop to fix it. They refused to reimburse us to have a local shop fix it. (I dont know about you but I dont have a truck that can transport a full size mower). He local shop told us that the Atlantic Tractor technician had installed the belt wrong and thats why it fell off. We called AT to let them know. It changed nothing - they actually took it in the other direction and were rude and hung up on us. Take your business somewhere else. Youll be happy you did.

Wow, only had initial checkup done which means mower is still new and now mower will not start. Get one click. Opening hood and jiggling wires each time, it will start. Not many people have the ability to drop off their lawn mowers. There is a charge $60 for pickup and delivery which John Deere will not cover. The mower is essentially new. Why wont they cover that charge as well. I cant help that I bought their product and cant get it back to them for repair. The mowers are not cheap either (well that depends on the usage of the word cheap). First and last John Deere product for me if this is the way they treat their customers. Just another company that only cares about getting your money in their pocket and nothing about the customers who keep them in business. Wrong move buying a Deere.

I purchased a new lawn tractor in late April. My sales person Jim Hewitt was very professional and explained everything to me that I needed to know. He communicated with me during the sale and after. The product is excellent . Wont hesitate to buy from there again.

Had a very troubling experience with this dealer. Purchased a Z425 zero turn mower. First walked in and asked if Atlantic Tractor offers the same financing as Home Depot. Specifically the 24 months 0% interest financing. The salesmen of course said yes and continued with how Home Depots Z425s are made differently than Atlantic Tractors (which is false). Salesman was very pushy for me to upgrade to a commercial grade tractor (2k$ more) even though Im only on 1 acre.Weeks later when my tractor arrived, the salesmen denied ever offering the 24 months 0% interest and tried to trick my wife into financing for 48 months at 4.9%. After a phone call to the branch manager Atlantic lowered the price by 200$ which still didnt match the 24 month 0%.Further more, when my brother-in-law came to pick the tractor up, the salesman argued that the keys were already given to us. Which they werent. The tractor was then put on our trailer without even giving us the keys or owners manual!! So we had to disengage the break manually just to get the thing off.The way Atlantic Tractor made it right was offered us 2 John Deere ball caps and free spark plugs....If youre purchasing a residential John Deere, it would be smart to look at Home Depot first. They offer better financing and free delivery. Selling John Deeres shouldnt be this difficult, I felt like I was buying a 1980 volkswagon from a used car dealership. Awful experience on every level.

We are giving 2 stars to this dealer because the secretary was very pleasant and kind. If it werent for her being so polite, we may have considered giving a one star. The day my husband ordered his tractor he was very excited and wanted it asap. We were told the next delivery day was the following Thursday, which we were not thrilled with, but we accepted it. Meanwhile we took Dave Poutres word that the tractor was being delivered on that following Thursday. My husband subsequently took off an entire days work to be home for the delivery. He even called Wednesday evening around 4:00 pm to confirm the delivery and got no return call. Thursday morning my husband called again to see if the tractor was coming. He was reassured that Daves service manager would be delivering our tractor personally. Sadly, Thursday came and went with no phone call. My husband lost $500 in overtime to sit home waiting on a tractor that never came. In addition, our business was not appreciated enough for Atlantic Tractor to call us and communicate what was wrong and why our tractor did not come. After complaining and standing his ground my husband was given a free brush guard. Dave apologized and said he would get the brush guard by Saturday, come to our house, and put it on. Again, Saturday came and went with no brush guard and no phone call from Dave. My husband called Monday and Dave stated that the brush guard still never arrived, but it will be in Tuesday. Tuesday came and went with no Dave and no phone call. My husband was finally fed up by Wednesday. Dave had said he was coming Tuesday, and when my husband finally went to Atlantic Tractor to get the brush guard Dave acted like it just arrived in the mail. We know better. The box was wet and the instructions on the inside were so wet that my husband had to go online to find directions. It was obvious to us that either the delivery man had no roof on his vehicle the day before when it rained or else Dave carried the part around for 24 hours in a truck bed. We do not recommend Cecil County residents going to this dealer because its closer. Thats how we ended up there, and we regret it. When our tractor finally came we believe it may have been the manager. He was very nice and friendly. But due to lack of communication and feeling disrespected we will not go back to this dealer to purchase anything new. If you are in Cecil County try the Cecilton location or drive to Oxford. Both have higher ratings and now we see why.

When I initially came into you show room, I looked at your display of stihl gas weed eater s . Then went to talk to a salesman at the right side front of the building. I ask a gentleman ( possible a salesman in cubicle ) about information about the Stihl weed eater. He said quote If you want a weed eater go to the parts counter in a tone of voice that I & my wife thought was rude & crude . I told him Im sorry to bother him & it was my first time in that place of business . My wife didnt want me to purchase the weed eater from your place of business. I told her let me me go to the parts counter to see how we are handle there. The part department man ask me what he could do for me & I told him what I wanted & also informed him of the way I was treated by the first man ( salesman??? ) . The part counter apologize for that person behavior. The parts counter man was very courtesy & did his job up and beyond as a parts department personnel. I have no issue with the parts counter man, only the so called SALESMAN ??????

I bought frontier st9528 snow blower from them in 2006 it sat in the garage for two years. Never been used. The first snow storm that came along that I needed to use it. All the drive belts blew off. I went over to them with this problem. And they said that it was out of warranty. I payed 1300.00for this piece of crap now another snow storm and the same thing the snow blower has only been used a number of times since I bought what a piece of junk

Very disappointed in the parts department. I placed several large parts orders on separate occasions, one for $400 and another for over $500. No one ever called to tell me my parts arrived. I called them, both times, several days after I was told my parts would be in, only for them to say yeah they are here. Thats very frustrating when you are waiting on large equipment to finish a job.

Took my John Deere LA125 in for service as had apparently blown the head gasket. Charge for work and turnaround was LESS than their estimate, and well less than Id expected. Very friendly, no pressure to upsell me on additional service and even helped me get tractor on/off trailor. Definitely recommended.
