Nick was great helping my friend with ski boots and ski rentals for the season, and helping me buy new boots and skis. He was very informative, explaining and showing options, patient while we tried on boots and asked quesions, helped guide us into the right choices for us.

Tommy was amazing during my entire visit. He knew what I wanted and needed and he got me it and got it while I was there and made my day. He did what he could to fit me in to get my equipment adjusted while I waited and just overall was amazing and I cant say enough about him. Definitely would recommend him and ski bum to anyone. I have been a customer for over 20 years and never have had an issue.

The staff here is awesome!.. My whole family went in October to get fitted for our lease equipment for the season. I chose to lease new boots with the expectation of purchasing them at the end. After getting fitted for everything and trying it all on we left. Two months later we were about to ski for the first time and I went to try on my boots to get them adjusted and found them to be very tight and painful to wear. I emailed that night and actually got a response well after closing time. Duane told me what to do and I returned the day after we skied and they got me into the correct boots and readjusted my skis without any question. Excellent customer service and very knowledgeable staff. We have been going here for a few years now and will definitely continue to.Jim Pessolano

Sean was great! Very patient and helpful sizing up my girls for boots. Didnt offer a huge selection but thats probably because season has already kicked off. Im so very glad my girls got quality stuff that they can grow into. Checking out, Sean even surprised me with$10 off using points from my last purchase That I wasnt even aware of. Thats was a nice surprise. Great job ski bum, well be back!

This is a very well run ski shop. All of the employees are so kind and helpful. Its a low pressure environment, where your needs come first. I purchased a full ski set up with Skis,boots & poles. John was very helpful in selecting my setup. I went for a full day skiing a month later and found that i needed a boot adjustment for a hot spot on my right foot. Dave the manager was very prompt, returning my call & also sent me an e-mail to come in for an adjustment. In no time at all Dave performed a thorough adjustment as well as a foot-bed fit & install. I could not be happier with the service I received. I had a great experience!

Had an awesome experience with Zack at The Ski Bum. I walked in with an idea of what I wanted (full snowboard package), but walked out with products I had no idea I would want. A best and cheapest place to repair your tennis racquets. Staff is super supportive. If you will buy the string over here then the string is free with the service. I would recommend to take the string here while changing the string.

Took boards here to get waxed. Gave them over a week to get them done only to find out they haven’t touched them. I was told they were working on their rental boards over my boards that were paid for to be waxed.

First time buying ski gear and these guys were great! helped me find what I need and didnt try to get me to buy the expensive stuff... Selection seems good for a small store but Im not sure about prices however they seem fair.

Renting skis at the resort was always a pain. Long lines and never having them fit right was always a problem for me. Im so thankful to have found The Ski Bum for all of my rental and equipment needs. The staff really knows what theyre talking about and genuinely wants you to have a great experience on the slopes. Also good for goggles and basically anything related to ski and snow boarding.

Frustrated that I am dependent on renting from Ski Bum Newark this weekend. I stopped in tonight to inquire about the rentals and whoever was working - was a very unhappy, angry person working in an empty store. If I had other options, I would take them.

I know its Ski Bum and were mostly talking about winter gear but it is considered an outdoor activities outfitter store, in my opinion. I asked the kid in there if they had any Teva shoes for women. He had no idea what I was talking about. Had never heard of Teva. And then after that said that they really had no clothing options for women. Wont go back there again. REI at the mall for me, I guess. Id rather support local, small business but...

Slightly overpriced but always a good selection of gear and clothes. I am a big fan of the gear swap and trade event they do a couple times a year, you can get fresh gear for good prices. Overall, theyll have what you need.

I went in the store and asked if they had any snowboard bindings that were less pricey than the ones they had out on the shelves. They said no. I went online and it turns out they did, they just keep them in the back. Then I was surprised they wanted to charge me to help put the bindings I bought there on my board.
