The Thomas Eye Group is amazing! I wish I had been aware of them sooner. From the time you enter the door, you are greeted with a smile and staff eager to assist you. My nurse, Tracey, and Dr. Ninita Brown were phenomenal. I was thoroughly assessed and all of my questions and concerns were addressed. I highly recommend this office for all of your ophthalmology needs.
I did not have an eye exam in 2020 because of the pandemic. Knowing I was overdue for an exam I decided it was time. I had an early morning appointment & was well pleased that I actually did not have to wait to be seen. I actually feel that this was the most thorough & complete exam I have ever had. Not only that, I was actually finished in just under an hour. After the exam, Dr. Patel explained in detail his findings. My vision had changed. I was given a few options about treatment. I made my decision based on the information I was given. I will have a follow up visit in six months to determin if I made the right decision for my situation or if we need another plan of action. Also, the staff set me up with a computerized patient portal so I can access their office & my information anytime I need to. I actually had trouble getting into the patient portal the next day, so I called the office for help. I spoke with two different people that helped me get into my information. They were very polite and most helpful. I have been a patient of Thomas Eye Group for many years and in my opinion they are the best.
This is the place to go. Prompt and on time. Very friendly. Best Dr appointment Ive ever had. And I am stubborn about going to the Dr. Give them a try, you will not regret it.
Dr.Brown and staff were very thorough and extremely informative. She and her assistant Suzie were kind and courteous. Scarlett at their front desk was also extremely friendly. The building was extremely handicapped accessible which is veer important to me. I have recommended Dr. Brown to several of my friends already.
Although the staff is very kind and helpful the billing department is horrible. They purposely didn’t file our insurance and never notified us of the issue. Now they will not return our phone calls to discuss the issue. Whenever we call they just want to act like we are lying about having insurance and that we should’ve known. How could we know if they never told us that they didn’t file?
Scheduled a 2 week follow-up visit to have a procedure done for my eye, since the medication didn’t work. I came in for the procedure, and they said they don’t do that procedure here, but at their Sandy Springs location. I scheduled that appointment, and they still wanted my $100 copay for this visit. I explained the situation, but they still demanded the $100 even after speaking to the office manager. I hope they will review the recording from when I booked this appointment, and then do the right thing by refunding my money. I paid the $100, and canceled my appointment in Sandy Springs. I will not use this company again if this is not resolved. I own a service business, and would never treat my clients this way! This rating would only be 1 star if it weren’t for the doctor and his assistants being so kind.
I am always pleased with the care that I receive. What I am not pleased with is the wait time. I had an appointment at 2:10 and did not see the doctor until 3:15 or later! My time is valuable and that is much too long to keep a patient waiting.

Dr. Ninita Brown was warm, professional and thorough. Each of the staff members that helped me were very respectful and responsive as well. It was my first time there (as I was referred by my PCP) and I will definitely make this my eye care home.
The lady that assists you in the front and helps you pick out your glasses is the rudest person I have ever come in contact with. My husband dealt with her the first day. And I thought to myself, There is no way she is as rude as he described. However, I was wrong. I tried to speak with her on the phone the next day about the glasses and an order. And I cannot even begin to describe to you how every word out of her mouth was the rudest. We will never go back. If I have to drive to Atlanta, I would rather do that than ever set foot in this place again.
My experience with Thomas Eye Group has been excellent the staff greets you immediately when you enter the facility they all follow Covid guidelines to ensure the safety of staff and clients are protected. They treat you with respect and fully explain each step of whatever the task is they are performing. I appreciate my Dr.Brown for ensuring that I understand her plan of action for my care and suggesting the referral that I needed to discuss with my PCM!!! I’m grateful the VA choose them for not care.

Made an appointment here for my daughter. We had to call back for insurance information...The lady taking the insurance information stated they don’t seen children at this location until they’re 7, (daughter turns 7 in 2 months) and I would need to see another doctor at a another facility. Appointment obviously shouldn’t have been scheduled in the first place. Terrible communication and office staff.
I was long overdue for an eye appointment when I had my appointment yesterday, and even longer overdue because I didnt want to go to the doctor during COVID. From the moment I walked into the office however, I was impressed by their exceptional safety protocol, 100% masking, seats spaced in tge waiting room, even a card dropped on the chair I used after I was called back to instruct that no one sit there until they came out to sanitize. The staff was professional and thoroughly explained all of my vision assessment/correction options. Most especially, I am so appreciative to Erica, the contact lens technician. I am brand new to contact lenses, and she spent so much time with me making sure I was comfortable with putting in and removing my contacts. Great job, everyone!

Although we had to wait 40 minutes the staff were very patient and understanding with my wife who was experiencing some mental health issues. Especially Michele.Dr Patel was extremely patient and took extra care of her.Overall, they did an excellent job under very taxing circumstances.
As a new patient, I found that the entire staff, without exception, was friendly and helpful. And, they were on time for my appointment. Loved Dr Brown! She was thorough and friendly and addressed all my concerns. My visit as a new patient was a treat!
I was checked when i came in the door (temperature) . A very short wait once checked in, all the employees seemed concerned about how was I doing since surgery. Eye exam was givin doctor was in room in very short time and I spent around 45 min from time I walked in till I was walking out . All my concerns were handle . Yesterday, March 8th, 2021 was my first time attending the Thomas Eye Group location in Newnan, Ga. I usually go to Smyrna Eye Group for my contact lenses, and Ive actually been going there for years. But, yesterday they had no openings for me to purchase new contacts, and I ran out of my supply. I was looking up other Eye groups that can potentially have openings, and I came across Thomas Eye Group. My experience was AMAZING! Everyone there was super friendly, hospitable, and relatable. I purchased my yearly supply of contacts using my medical/vision insurance, and everyone there made it so easy to select the correct lenses!!!! This is my new Eye Group now!!!

Dr. Phoenix was very thorough in listening to my concerns regarding my daughters vision and in doing everything necessary to ensure her eyes were okay. The staff was also very considerate, but operated like a well oiled machine.
Cataract surgery was very successful. I am amazed how vivid colors are now and how bright my family room is although I see more dust than I used to. Dr. Patel is great, very informative and efficient. My only complaint is that the front office staff could be more friendly, possibly get customer service training.
I am a new patient, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The first thing I noticed was all of the COVID precautions and cleanliness. Secondly, the customer service was top notch. Everyone was kind and welcoming. Even though my appointment started a bit late, I didn’t mind because I was still out within an hour of my scheduled appointment time. I also really appreciated their use of technology. I have no complaints whatsoever!

I have been going to Thomas Eye since my family moved to Georgia but this last appointment has changed my mind about this business! It took over 3 weeks to get my glasses, I called Brooke to have her Fed Ex them to me and I would pay the fee on my end as I’m in the hospital in NC, but she sent them regular mail. She could have sent them day. Then when I get them I called her to verify what I ordered because the lenses are thick and heavy she tells me I didn’t order the light weights which I know I did because she had to recalculate the ticket! Did I mention I would have had the glasses sooner but the lab broke them? Needless to say I’m not going back to Thomas!

Called earlier in the week to give them my insurance information. Also called my insurance to confirm they and the doc were in network. All was good. Until my appt today. We got there early and waited, only to be told they don’t accept our insurance. I got my insurance company on the phone and handed it to the front desk lady. Once they talked, Thomas Eye Group realized the information wasn’t in their system correctly and needed to get a “higher up” to approve it??!! They also said they couldn’t see us bc our apt time had now passed. NEVER going back.
Every aspect of my yearly visits have always been exceptional. From the friendliness of the staff, to the professionalism, the wait time, the attention to safety and privacy, all of it, is fantastic!!! I highly recommend the expertise of Dr. McCluskey !

My mother has been very impressed with the eye doctors at this place and started having me come in as a patient. The first eye exam with Dr Patel was a perfect exam and the assistants were excellent. The second time there I did not get as good of an exam as I did before because of the virus problem. I tried to explain to them how to help me and did not get a good response.The glasses people were horrible both times and I got bad glasses the first time. The two times i tried to get them fix some what worked the second time. I came in and picked out the glasses I wanted and left a note because they were at lunch. 3 days later they left a early morning and I returned the call and never got a person. I left a message and they never called me back. I guess they do not want my money.
Has to be one of the most efficient eye doctors in the country... in and out in under an hour and half with exams for two people and picking out three sets of frames!!

I and my wife recently underwent our annual eye exam at Thomas Eye Group. As usual everyone was very friendly and efficient. Other than the temporary cloudy vision resulting from the test-related pupil dilation it was an enjoyable visit. Dr. Patel was very professional and patiently answered all of our questions. What a great place! Lets just say I broke my glasses and I havent been for a checkup in 5 years. Went to my previous eye doctor and apparently my insurance provider is no longer accepted. Found out that the Thomas Eye Group is part of my insurance provider and the customer service I received from Daniel the manager was above and beyond. Professional, peaceful and pleasant experience. My temperature was taken when I walked in, there was a touch less check in and the six feet distance was done well.
We took our two-year-old daughter here to see Dr. Phoenix. Overall great experience! Dr. Phoenix and her staff were really good with kids and very professional & efficient. The kid play room in the waiting room was a plus. The only downside was that we had a very long wait even though we had an appointment. Dr. Phoenix told us that she is at a different location each day of the week - so to me it seems like they really overbook her schedule in order to squeeze everyone in.
I love having Dr. Patel as my eye doctor. I always leave feeling that my eyes are in greatshape. I had both of my cataracts removed from both of my eyes. The surgery went faster and better than I remembered what my mom had done back in the late 1970s. The follow-up in his office was equally great!!!! Everyone treated me so professionally yet so friendly. Everyone was so knowledgeable and happy to answer questions they did know the answer to, referred me to Dr Patel for the most important questions.I did have to wait for 1hour for my appointment and almost went home. Im so glad I didnt. I learned from Dr Patel some things about my eyes that are causing me troubles. He did nothing wrong. My body forms scar tissue everywhere. He said he might be able to correct it with a laser. Well see.I would highly recommend him and his staff for anyone that needs a great eye doctor. Ill be seeing you.

Great staff! Technician was friendly, professional, competent. Dr. was thorough, explaining what she was doing, providing useful information and answering my questions and concerns. Ordering my glasses was equally a pleasant experience. Staff very helpful, explaining my insurance, providing great recommendations on what glasses and features would be best for me.
The front desk staff were helpful and polite.2. The young lady (Jasmine) was also polite. However, when she returned in the exam room after checking the prescription of my glasses - she asked if my glasses were broken. No, there were not broken before I arrived. If they had been I would have stated that when handling them over. She took them to someone else to attempt to fix them. Brought them back, handled them to me and they immediately fell apart. Back out to try and fix them. Then the lady who fixed them decided to come into the room and scold me - told me that I was not careful and thats way they broke again. She tired to show me the problem BUT I CANNOT see without my glasses. I explained that I would NEVER come in knowingly hand someone broken glasses - so what are they going to do? The decision was made to give me a contact exam. and a set of contracts until my new glasses come in.3. The examine with the Dr. was brief. I asked about improvements in contract for astigmatism and she said yes, there were much better. However, when I get to the contact person. The newer and better versions of contact are NOT SOLD in Newnan. So my only options were far vision or mono vision with soft lenses. I asked How will I work?. I was given the mono vision and as of right now I am typing, I cannot see very well. As I told the first young lady - I would 8 to 10 hours a day on a computer and as of now I struggle to see what I am typing.4. I did order glasses before I left. What else could I do?5. After picking up my glass on Friday, I will NEVER return to Thomas Eye Group

2nd and last time. 1st appt went well and had great service. This appt was scheduled for 2 pm yet the doctor doesn’t see my mother until 4pm?! If it was up to me I would have walked out after waiting for 30 minutes. There was no explanation that they were short handed today, I only got this after asking 45 minutes past our scheduled appointment. It appears that this place falls apart at the 2nd appointment level...read the reviews.
Dr. Ann was very thorough and attentive to my eye concerns. Made a quick and concise diagnosis. Gave me a sample of eye med which was very nice.
Dr Paul Patel and staff are caring, professional, and provide excellent medical knowledge. I do not need surgery yet, but when I do....Dr Patel is my choice for cataract surgery! Been in his car for many years now.

At checkout when I voiced my issues the woman was extremely rude and made it seem like my fault. I guess the one star can be because they seem to be taking proper Covid precautions. I will not be going back here.
Would love to give them 5 stars but I simply cant. The staff and Dr. Phoenix were amazing. They were knowledgeable and friendly but waiting for 2 hours for my 4 year old to be seen was ridiculous. I was told their process was to take follow up patients first even if there appointments were after mine. That made no sense with me but its their process. Dr. and staff are great but the process needs improvement.

If I could give a zero I would. I called inquiring on how a self pay exam is for contacts. The representative started by saying from 60-120. She went on to say to see the doctor would be 99.00 and then there would be the cost of the contracts. I advised that because I am self pay it will benefit me to order my contacts online so I will only need the exam and the prescription. She placed me on hold stating she wasn’t sure how that would work with me not getting the contacts with them. She came back and said it would be the charge for the exam and still between 60-120 for the written prescription. This was utterly insane. Never have I ever heard of such a thing. To charge 60-120 for the written prescription. This to me was wrong on so many levels and a form of price gouging!! I would not recommend them nor would I ever go to a place that would do such a thing. Just pure wrong! So very upsetting. If they would do such a thing just imagine what else they would do.

I understand the procedure guidelines for Covid-19 but they dont take in consideration people who have more than one child. Requesting you to come back two different days is not convenient or reasonable.
Very grateful for the excellent care provided by Thomas Eye Group - the staff in general & Drs. McClusky and Patel in particular. Even though they are very busy they are always able to work me in when I have an urgent problem to prevent any further complications. Very professional staff, especially in the COVID-19 era. I was very pleased to see everyone wearing masks and actually wearing them properly (nose & mouth completely covered).
They full on practice social distancing and clean everything right after someone uses it. I love that! The place was very neat and clean so I felt very comfortable. I live 45 minutes away. I definitely dont mind driving that distance to come here. Iwas nervous about bringing my daughter there because some people do not wear masks, but they require you to do so. But even if Covid-19 was not happening it wouldve still been a great visit. They were very quick as well.
Today (6/24/20) I was so disappointed with the customer service at the Newnan location of Thomas Eye Group. I have been a client/patient in excess of 10 years. This afternoon I went to pick up my glasses and was treated very poorly by one of the two women that were seated in the foyer. After taking my temperature, I stood back waiting to be seated. Instead of offering me a seat, to wait my turn to pick up my glasses, one of the women asked my name, went to get my glasses, and handed them to me, without cleaning it, or placing it in a case, I got the impression that she wanted me to leave. I turned and asked her if they had changed their normal procedures, that is, my sitting down in front of the technician, trying on my glasses, and see if any adjustments were needed. She then had an after thought, and asked me to sit and wait to be seen by the eye glass technician. This manner of service Is highly unacceptable and I felt disrespected.My name is Carmen Christy.

I appreciate the easy check-in process at Thomas Eye Group, and greatly appreciate the staffs attention to cleanliness: they clean the parts of the machines that we will be touching right in front of you, so you dont have to guess if its been cleaned, and the person behind the check-out counter was cleaning the counter after each patient left, before helping the next patient.
I oversaw as office manager an Oncology office for Emory doctors for twelve years. Best eye exam Ive ever had - I hate eye exams, eye stuff in general freaks me out and gives me such bad anxiety, but at Thomas eye group they were patient, gentle and understanding with me and got me out of there quickly with minimal distress. Will never see a different optometrist.
