Blue Crab Appliance is such a great resource to have in our community. I have been able to fix 4 things (washer, dryer, refrigerator and furnace) around the house because of them. Great experience! The staff helped me find the part over the phone and ordered it for me. It came on time and they price matched a price I found on line. The part came in when promised and when I picked it up they even gave me some advise on how to do the repair.

This is and will be the ONLY Appliance part store I will ever use. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I had my refrigerator stop making water and ice. I had it narrowed to two parts. The store staff asked me to do some trouble shooting and send them pictures. They were able to help me diagnose my problem and then purchase the correct part. They also provided pointers on how to install the new part. Just an amazing experience that you do not see much anymore!
Very helpful and kind staff! With their help I was able to fix a $300 freezer with a $30 part. This is a DYI heaven. They also offer classes at a good rate best find in Newport News.

I had an incredible experience with this company yesterday. I needed a part for my freezer. My friend recommended I call Blue Crab. I did. I spoke with James. He researched my needed part and said he would call me back shortly. He did. Less than a half hour later. He explained that he would have to order the part or I could pick the only 1 left in VA at Cashwells. Another company in NN. James had called and had Rexdon (Cashwells) pull the part and hold it for me. I almost choked up. It has been forever since I have been treated with such humanity from a company of any kind. I am so grateful for the service and kindness I received from this man and Blue Crab. Impressive. Decency still exists. Thank You James. Outstanding customer service. Very knowledgeable, patient, and willing to share their knowledge. They were able to help troubleshoot and ultimately identify the problem with our dryer. Thanks to Blue Crab Appliance Parts we no longer have to rely on the weather to get our laundry done and we didnt have to shell out a bunch of $$$ for a repair man!A YouTube video helped familiarize me with the internals of our dryer and Blue Crab was able to test the parts to identify the correct part to replace. This saved time, hassle, and money in replacing random parts and I didnt have to wait on an internet part order (they had parts on-hand). Our repair would have easily cost over $120 from a repair service but instead it cost $13.

Blue Crab is amazing. The owner opened on a Sunday for me to come in. Tested my igniter for my furnace and got me a new with install help. They assisted in further trouble shooting over the phone and offered in person if need be. These guys are truly the best. Ive never had customer support this good. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Liam and the guys at Blue Crab were extremely helpful (and patient) in helping me troubleshoot my gas clothes dryer problem. I brought in a box of parts (solenoids/flame sensor/timer-control knob/igniter) ... it all checked out, so they printed out one more diagram for me (again, for free) and suggested that the only thing left is the thermal fuse in the exhaust duct. Bingo, that was it. A cheap part, and no wasted money. What a relief!

Five-star, old school, small town, great customer service!I have next-to-no experience with HVAC, but our furnace broke, and I had to try to repair it. After identifying what I thought the issue was, I came to Blue Crab Appliance Parts, broken part in-hand, asking to order a replacement.The gentleman I spoke with could have easily just sold me the replacement, taken my money, and let me leave. Instead, he took the time to ask what was wrong with the part I brought in, and even tested it for me... discovering that there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. He then took the time to OPEN UP A FLOOR MODEL similar to mine, and walk me through what each part does, what to test, and how to test it.Ive never had anyone go so above and beyond to make sure I left with exactly what I needed (including the knowledge to make the repair myself). There is NO WAY I would go anywhere else!

Had the furnace igniter in stock, among what appeared to be a very large amount of HVAC and appliance parts and tools. Definitely will be shopping there again vs waiting 2 days from Amazon.
The type of customer service that makes you create an account just to show appreciation. Ive gone here twice with dryer problems (unrelated to each other) and both times received courteous service, step by step walk through on the problem and how to fix it, and willingness to save me money whenever possible! Ill definitely be back here whenever i have an appliance issue. No need to go anywhere else.

These people are awesome! I needed a part for my stove. They had it in their Williamsburg store. They went and got it for me!!!! Then when I stopped by during my lunch hour, they invited me to have lunch at their 4th yr anniversary cookout. They were extremely professional, courteous and went way above and beyond as far as Im concerned. They are definitely my new go to for appliance repair. They even offer free trouble shooting over the phone!!!

Very friendly and helpful staff! I brrought in my Dryers Termal Fuse to get a new one. They tested it for me and found it was working and suggested what parts to bring in to get tested. I brought in the other heating parts and they tested and found out why my drying wasnt heating. They sold me the part and dryer works great now!

One week ago, I was stuck in a situation where my Air Conditioning unit quit working. I took a few pictures of parts down to Dave. Not only did he supply me with the right parts(that he had in stock), but he supplied me with the technical support that I needed to get the job done. I highly recommend this company.
I cant say enough good things about Blue Crab Appliance. Dave went out of his way to find the part I needed when my A/C unit crashed on a 95 degree day and every HVAC contractor in the area was swamped, The staff at Blue Crab understands many homeowners are perfectly capable of making their own repairs, and they didnt require that I be a HVAC contractor to help me out. My unit was down a few hours versus a few days. Highly recommended.

Weve used Blue Crab Appliance Parts twice now, and both times theyve saved us hundreds of dollars. First time around the dryer belt broke-they talked us through the diag over the phone and sold us the replacement part and illustrated instructions for $17. The dryer has been working fine ever since. More recently our refrigerator blew its circuit board, possibly from a power surge. They identified the part and ordered it for me. The fridge is working fine again, and for a fraction of what it would have cost to replace it or have Sears come look at it. After the fact I checked them against internet prices and they charge the same as online shops do and dont charge shipping. The employees are all friendly and knowledgeable, cant recommend them highly enough!
