Do not go here thinking this is a normal Farm Fresh, it is not. This store is similar to Emart as its a international food market. The place is packed full of various meats and vegetables that would be hard to find at your normal supermarket. The seafood department is expansive and they still have their famous fried chicken as well as the salad bar. My one complaint is the prices, they are not on par with some of the other markets as I feel there kind of high.

Weve been shopping here for years, and its usually awesome. One of the only places to get pokka coffee consistently. Today we got home and the chicken we got was very spoiled. We didnt bother checking before we got it, but the smell was very noticeable after being in the trunk for the drive home. It was like a $12 loss, so only a little bit of a loss. Theres not really any way to contact them to tell them to pull it though, so Id definitely check your stuff before you head to the register. Despite it well still end up shopping there, but way more cautiously and we may try an alternative like games for our meats.

Yes, this farm fresh has many things to offer! But beware of the so called “fresh seafood”. I have purchased seafood twice and will NEVER go it again. Both times it was spoiled! The last time I purchased $80.00 worth of sea scallops. Got them home and noticed the smell was a little off. Fresh scallops are not supposed to smell fishy. I cleaned them and prepared them thinking they would be fine. Needless to say, they gave my whole family diarrhea and had a bad taste. I called to speak with the seafood manager( which barely speaks English) the same evening I purchased them. I told him the scallops I purchased were spoiled. He said “okay” and hung up on me! They never offered to make it right. I’m so disgusted! Please go elsewhere! The seafood is so neglected you walk out of this store smelling like fish after shopping. Nasty!!!!

This has happened morethan once. I purchased 2 packs of short ribs on 23 Sept. I opened them this morning, 26 Sept and it is spoiled. I return to the store to get a refund and was told meat can only be exchanged the same day for a refund. However, I can get a store credit. I personally didnt understand why if the store admits the meat is bad but refuse to give me a refund instead store credit. I dont want anything from this store but am forced to buy items from here or rake a loss. I dont recommend shopping here, the perishables are highly suspect. Very disappointing.

3.5 is underrated and probably based on the old grocery store when it was just Farm Fresh. This place is a unique blend now of international and domestic groceries and is surprisingly clean and polished in its presentation. Comparing this to the Grand Mart locations in RVA and E Mart in Newport News, this location beats them all in terms of offerings, interior cleanliness and size. The main feature thats lacking though is a sit-down Korean eating area but they do offer the Farm Fresh takeout and fried chicken, which is great.

Hands down the best market for international shopping around, just wish I could find more ingredients for Hawaiian style cooking

Love this store, wide produce selection with great deals to be found. Amazing fried chicken and an excellent seafood department.

This place is ok. I love the fact that they have fresh food options like a open salad bar and chicken both friend and grilled. They also have cold few otpions like sandwiches or ready made salads. This is a great convenience if you need something quick for lunch or dinner. Their grocery selection is the same as you would expect in any store. I like that they have non dairy options as well for milk and ice cream. However the customer service is a hit and miss. Sometimes they are on it and sometimes they are not. The hours say 6am-12am but many times they have closed before 12 or opened well after 6 because of staffing issues. The prices are ok, but not competitive. This is a place I shop when I need something quick and dont have time to shop around for the best bargain. Overall rating a strong 3 stars.

This had the best look and lowest price meats compared to Walmart, Ft Eustis commissary, and Food Lion when I needed to get about 12 steaks for a cookout in May 2021.

This place is gold for seafood lovers. They also clean the squid for you! I find octopus and other kind of fish here. Fresh! This is my favorite supermarket so far. Different cultures working. Great customer service

Even under new management this is still farm fresh. Only thing different is now theres about 80 percent Asian items and 20 percent American items. If you looking for farm fresh fried chicken and buying and getting your seafood steam then this the place for American. But if not dont waste your time. The store is very very clean.

It is not Farm Freehold! They didnt change the sign. Good oriental market. You have to check that what you are talking is fresh. Still one of the best places to buy fish and seafood.

Certain areas could be cleaned up a bit more but other than that, havent had any issues here. They carry almost everything I need. The workers are really patient and friendly. Love coming here.

This is not the old Farm Fresh you might have gotten used to. The current operator must have bought rights to use the Farm Fresh name, when the Farm Fresh corporation went bankrupt. This new Farm Fresh is an International Market. So you might not find every corporate American brand of manufactured cookies (or other items), but you will find fresh produce from all over the world, and ingredients for all kinds of international cuisines. It feels more like an expanded Asian market than it does the old Farm Fresh American market. This fact will please some, and turn others away. Thank you!

Wow. Not at ALL what I expect from Farm Fresh. Quite apparent theyre under new management. Almost nothing I needed because unless youre making bulgogi good luck. I came in to buy ingredients for chicken alfredo. It took a while to find chicken that looked fresh. I parused empty shelves to find pasta and sauce. This is just... Wow. This will be my last time coming to Farm Fresh. Never again. I guess its Aldi or Food Lion from now on. What a shame. Sign of the times I guess.

This is an international market now. Its a pretty cool place if youre looking for a unique item. We came in just needing a few things and stayed for at least an hour looking around. But just like the Farm Fresh I remember, the prices on standard grocery items are high.

Its a great place for fresh vegetables seafood and Asian spices also the best fried chicken around this area. One of the best place for lower pricing on most everything and quality food.

I have enjoyed shopping here for nearly a decade. The quality of the store has steadily decreased since its new ownership, and their ABSOLUTELY NO GUNS policy was enough to turn my family and I away from this store for good.I ABSOLUTELY will not forego my own safety for any establishment in this city. I sincerely doubt the criminals and those who wish to do others harm will abide by the stores policy.Best of luck.

Went there on Christmas, as it was the only grocery store that was open. Outside of your most basic American items, this is now a Korean grocery store. Look, I get that Farm Fresh has a new owner and that the owner is free to do whatever they want with their store, but I have one small request for the owner: please change the name of the store to something else. This is a tease to the generations of those who grew up in Hampton Roads hoping to see the same Farm Fresh they knew and loved, only to be let down.

I spoke with someone in the phone in the meat department who had an Asian accent, I think. After 2 minutes of trying to explain that I want the price per pound of their cheapest boneless meat, he transfers me to another department. After 5min on hold, a man says hello I explain (easier this time) what Im looking for, he says that he doesnt speak English! What the fudge, man!Ok, so I guess people dont actually talk to a butcher these days. So I went to the store. The worst smell coming from that side of the store. Not sure if it was the produce (potatoes in boxes stacked up 6 high) or the meat, or the seafood. I wouldnt feed my dogs anything from here.Ive never had their famous fried chicken, and I would warn against anyone else having any. I do believe I will contact someone to get a health inspector out there. Yes, it was that bad.

Stop by this store to buy the 16 pieces of grilled chicken, but don’t have any so instead I gotten the 16 piece fried chicken. Only one door open on the left side. The door on the right side where the register is at by the door was locked and they say that door don’t open until the evening . Only one register open and the line was in the aisle way . People complaining, but I’m very patient so it didn’t matter. I bought my 16 pieces of fried clean and got a container of Crab salad and a couple boxes or mussels . This is how the fried chicken look if you want to go buy some and it taste good for it being bought out of a grocery store . You get (4) of each, wings, legs, thighs and breast

The parking lot is well lot and feels very safe. This store is extremely clean, and well stocked. The salad bar was fresh, clean, and kept filled.Everything was exactly where I expected it to be in the store, as I shop there regularly. Very convenient. Prices were very competitive with other stores in the area. I enjoy visiting this store on Chatham Drive very much.

Im never shopping here again. The people in the deli move so slow. It took him 15 minutes of my lunch break to put my food in the tray and put a price on it. Also dont get me started on the cashiers. The guys are nice but the girls have terrible attitudes and the one Spanish girl took a Spanish couple in front of me and lied and said they were waiting for her first!! The short manager lady was sweet and she got me another line but I cant tolerate the bad customer service and the slow moving deli. Also they dont sell baby formula??!!? What the hell kind of grocery store dont sell food options for babies? But all in all I will just go to Walmart.

The store used to be clean and orderly, but after it was purchased its getting worse. Hard to find some of the items I used to go there for, since its turning into an Asian food store. Lots of stuff that is not labeled in English so I couldnt try something new if I wanted to. Aisle labels were wrong, big pallets blocking walkways, and lot of empty shelves.Deli staff at my visit was slow and didnt look like they cared about doing their job well. They misprioritized jobs and had nobody taking orders, even for food that was already in the display case. Lots of joking around and conversation in the deli, though, in plain sight of the customers. The chicken wasnt even good enough to be worth the wait.Pharmacy section is significantly reduced. I used to be able to restock most of the medicine cabinet alongside a grocery trip, but now I cant find some basic health items or supplements. Dont count on finding what you need unless its an aspirin or bandage.There are plenty of other choices in the area, however. Choose one of those unless you want a weird hybrid Asian store/sketchy deli.

Product prices are very inconsistent here. Spoke to staff about why a particular item doubled in price in less than a month and was met with a very disturbing response. Time to discontinue business here and go directly to the international market in Hampton.

Their sign says that they close at 9pm, but Ive been there numerous times and they actually close the doors into the store at 8:45pm.Recommend Google update their hours to reflect this.

Im 61 years old with medical conditions that put me at risk to covid 19. I called to have shrimp cooked up to minimize my exposure to Covid. The seafood clerk refused to do so citing store policy. At this point I contacted the manager explaining my situation. He refused to accomodate me. I then asked his name so I could include it in a letter of complaint to the main office. He refused to do so and hung up on me. FARM FRESH HAS A VERY POOR POLICY THAT PUTS SENIORS MORE AT RISK.

Unclean place. Terrible manager and quality of service. Not the place to go for quality answers and food. They dont stand behind their products or customers.

While shopping with my mom, every corner I turned I swear it was the same man who works there following us? The security guard, very same encounter. But Hey, that’s just 2019 america for you I guess. I wasnt sure what country I was in? A lot and I mean A lot of Asian and Mexican/ Spanish food options. I swear I could not find extra crispy Tyson chicken tenders...however, I think its great that there are many cultural foods being offered. Also too many rows and aisles of seafood as it is emitting a terrible odor and unpleasant shipping experience. It is not Farm Fresh. A security guard followed us around the store and then waited while at checked out and stood by the exit to watch is leave... geez!?!? It was completely dead on a Friday at 8pm. I dont see it staying open. Oh.... I forgot to mention there were 3 people trying to purchase the fried chicken.

Its alright for a once every couple of months visit. Theyre trying, but could use a few improvements. Could be better organized and the prices could be a little more reasonable. Ill probably give them another try, because they are trying but Id love to see those updates when I do.

My experiences in the store were good until my family and myself were constantly being monitored by the stores personnel. It was almost if they were assuming that we were about to steal something from the store. That within itself created a good amount of discomfort, and I will not return to this particular Farm Fresh for that reason only.

This store is combined with Asian groceries. They raised the prices on the green teas I like. They still sell the croissants I like in bakery. Many buying fried chicken. Senior and military discounts on certain days. Bought wrong sweet tea, (I wanted unsweet). Owner not friendly, refused to let me switch tea because I didnt have receipt. Didnt want a refund, just exchange for unsweet. Prices higher now and store not as clean.

Nice nearby grocery store to pick up one off things. Its conveniently located to my office and its hardly busy - so checkouts are quick once you learn the store layout.

Maps shows this permanently closed, its still open. I cant send in the error report because it shows Server error, try again later. Shopped there today (August 11, 18) & the store no longer stocks the foods you go there for, but shelf after shelf, pallet after pallet of bulk Oriental foods. The take-over has changed whats inside. Shopped there for years, & now..not anymore. At the register I went to by the door it says that Apple & Android pay NOT accepted! Its Krogers from now on to get groceries!

Theres not much to choose from. The store only sells to a certain group of people. Its sad you cant buy basic things there. Most of the food is for asians.

Im dissapointed with the customer service. O called and complained about my chicken that was very salty. The young lady apologized and asked me when was I coming back to have my chicken replaced. I told her I wasnt sure because I didnt live in the area. She said ok let me get your name. I gave her my information and she stated that she would put my name on a board and whenever I was in the area I could be compensated for my food. I thanked her. So Thursday I went by to get my food. The woman manager I assume would not give me my food. I told her my name was supposed to be somewhere on a wall or something. She said she didnt see it and I had to have my chicken or the receipt. I told her the young lady did not tell me that when I called. And I wasnt lying, how would I know about your board? I was upset and she wasnt trying to accommodate me in any way. $14 wasted plus my time and gas. They will never get my business again! I was hurt and disappointed!

I often visit the salad bar. Create a meal with all the veggies, protein and cheesecake desert. One large plate might seem pricey, but considering the selection and that it provides me with an average of 3 meals.

I have expectations when i go into a place that calls itself farm freshi usually shop at walmart but for convenience i wanted to give this place my businessi mainly needed inexpensive microwavable goodies for quick lunchesthey failedand i realized partway through that this is a hybrid asian market with a brand name slapped on the frontbe cautioned that this is NOT the grocery store youre expecting 😡

I drop by to get Lime Diet Coke almost weekly, and early Sundays for fried chicken wings to take to church maybe every 5 or 6 weeks. Employees have always been courteous, and the wings have always been ready, fresh, and delicious.

I go to this location for a Boston locally grown lettuce they carry but the staff is rude. Today after getting a basket full of groceries had to bag my own groceries. The cashier did not speak to me or say thank u for bagging my own food. Not even a have a nice day. All of the cashiers at this location act like its a problem for them that you shop there. Also there are long lines and normally only one register open. My receipt says 6/17/17-store 0231- 10:52:57 oper 340.

Ive only had to make a trip here a few times, but its a decent grocery store. Its not very big so dont expect a huge variety to select from.

This store is being bought by a private owner. It will not be closing. The hours are 8am till 10pm.

Whoever answers the phone is very unprofessional. She answered the phone and sped through her greeting. I asked to be transferred to the Pharmacy, then she hung up. When I called back, she was laughing and yelling at someone to not take [her] pens. Someone else had to grab the phone from her to assist me. Very unprofessional.

Staff is rude as hell. Manager has an excuse for everything. Store always smell moldy and their cashiers are musty. Never in my life have I seen such an unprofessional hot and cold deli staff. No hair nets to keep facial and long hair out of the food. To be honest it was a waste of that guys money to keep them open just for some nasty over rated chicken that is either over cooked, over salted and sometimes raw. I do not care what is said about this after what I experienced today the health inspector will be contacted. This place should be shut down!
