I love this store! The gentleman there helped me find a lot of back issues. He also made sure I had the latest comic guide for the upcoming months. They have an amazing Wonder Woman statue that I would love to have 😊

Short review: Good place to get introduced to Magic the Gathering.Additional Short Review:The two employees working were very friendly and helpful.My Experience:My friend loves Magic (a card game) and I wanted to get him some cards for his birthday. I dont know much about the game, so I gave the two gentlemen working there a budget of $50 dollars, and asked them to help me find a good present. They observed that most players enjoy the rush of opening packs of random cards for the chance of gaining a rare (and usually valuable) foiled card. They then selected 10 card packs based on my budget, to optimize the chance of finding one of these rare cards.The whole thing took only a couple of minutes and I now I have 10 presents for my friend instead of one. :)I was pleased with my experience and will return if I need more nerd stuff.Thanks guys!

Very nice place for gaming. Recommend this place they are extremely nice and caring they also understand if things change. Amber and Zach are my two favorite people only reason I give then four out of five is because prices are a little high on some items. And that the restroom and place as a whole need a little work for cosmetic reason

I used to go to ACE when I was a teenager, NN and Hampton, and always had fond memories. I stopped in to check it out because I planned to bring my son back on the weekend and I just wanted to make sure everything was cool. Well, after talking comics with Joel for a good 45 minutes I ended up getting about $350 worth of books and left really happy. On saturday I brought my son and daughter and my son was floored with the store and my daughter was running around as excited as she could be. My son got his limit of $50 of books, he wanted about $200, and he was in hog heaven. Joel saw my daughter (shes 7) liked a lot of things but didnt really know what she was looking at so he came over to her and talked to her a bit, and then said you want to see something really cool? He took her over and showed her some my little pony / transformers books and she was hyped. She has had her grandma read them to her at least 10 times now. I spent about $170 that day. All the prices match the price guides and a lot of prices are even better. Huge selection to choose from both old school and new books In the back they have a huge space with tables that I assume are used for War Hammer, D&D etc. This is a proper comic book shop and you should definitely check it out. Joel was responsible for roughly $520 in sales and a repeat customer who just got back into comics with grownup money to spend, hook that man up 😁

There and you will find a great selection of collectibles gaming and comic book related products as well as a very knowledgeable very friendly and very pleasant staff able and willing to help you with all of your questions and needs. This is my absolute favorite small business to support and I cannot recommend them any higher.

Went in to pick up a comic I had been waiting on for months. Of course they only had the special edition available for a higher price. Reluctantly made the purchase just for the employee to then spoil the ending before I ever got to open the book. I was so put off that I sold the book and lost interest in collecting the rest of the series. Wont return...

Not a big game collection and the Vallejo paint supply is getting thin, but the place is clean and has lots of comics and gaming space. Big bonus was the very enthusiastic and helpful guy at the counter.

Speaking from a Magic the Gathering point of view, they are great. They dont have some of the newest big ticket cards, but if theres an older card, theyre likely to have it. Very casual place to also get a game of commander going with very spacious seating, that is COVID compliant.

They dont always have the greatest selection on individual cards, but its certainly not bad. Customer service is always A+ and Ive had plenty of solid recommendations from them. Even though there are comic stores closer they are my go to.

Atomic Comics has the best selection of comics in the Newport News area, along with a ton of games and cards with the space to play them. Ive always had great service and the staff definitely keep your interests in mind. Im always getting awesome suggestions on new comics and games and theyre always on the look out for products Im in the market for! Regulars are always welcomed and the community that frequents the store are just as kind. Youll fit right in and fall in love with a place I now consider my second home.

Small store, but a respectable amount of comics. Big wall of board games and collectibles. RPG section is pretty small, only D&D and Pathfinder when I was there. D&D night was packed, but they shared the night with Pokemon. Friendly players, but the requisite B.O. gamer was somewhere near me. Depending on whos running the store, they may or may not be interested in answering questions.

They have a wide selection of dnd figures and unlike other places the figures are actually organized and neat

This place was very comfortable. The staff was inviting and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They house a lot of comics and have another location they said has even more. The place is a must for anyone that wants to get into comics or has been in for years and wants to browse. They also have a wall dedicated to board games and one for card games (magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, etc.). Overall amazing place!

Excellent store with very friendly staff. The regulars are welcoming to new comers. Come up on a Saturday for different games going on from Pokemon to board games. You can easily spend a day in there and not realize it.

Great service. Im a noob. Greeted by an employee upon entering and allowed to browse freely. Employee asked if I needed help and grabbed what I was looking for immediately. There was a tournament or trading game of some sort going on.

Went in here looking for pokemon cards. The employees where friendly and knowledgeable in not just pokemon cards. They have magic cards and yugioh cards. They have a huge selection of comics to. Was worth the stop!

I come here often and the atmosphere is great the staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. The selection of cards is pretty good and the freedom they give you top look through for commons and unions is nice as well.

The shop has just about everything you need and given the size of the space, makes use to fill their store. My one issue was that even though I informed them from the beginning I was new, they went into multiple conversations about cards and effects I knew nothing about. It would have been nice to start from a common place to see what I needed.

Dont let the small size of this business fool you, there is a huge selection of comics, board games, and Magic the Gathering cards at that location. The owner is well connected and informed and can usually get anything you want in the rare case that he doesnt have it.

Very good selection and nice staff. Gets kinda crowded with larger events though. But all around a could store and my regular stop.

The store itself is OK. They have good inventory. I purchased a booster box and 4 packs of sleeves totaling over $140 and when I asked how much basic lands cost he tried to charge me .10 cents per land... Theres no place where basic lands cost .10 cents per land.

Atomic Comics Emporium II has a great selection of both comics and games. Do you like Magic th Gathering? They got it. Pokémon? Got that too. They even have Yu-Gi-Oh cards! Not only that but their Game Club membership is cheap and lasts a whole year ($20/yr). You get 10% off of most things in the shop and gain access to the gaming groups that meet up there! DnD, MTG, Yu-Gi-Oh, etc. I highly recommend checking this place out.

Decent place for MTG and other card games. Board game selection is alright, but youre not going to find any deals here. The store itself can feel very small, especially if there is a tournament going on.

Have been looking for a shop like this for a while! Experienced and friendly staff and MtG players, both casual and competitive. Spent many fun hours here playing Magic and making friends.

Singles are organized pretty well. Really friendly staff. Great patronage. The MtG singles inventory can feel a bit sparse (especially recent sets) and they dont keep a singles database even for high ticket cards. Im not a customer of their comic/board game products, but Ive heard only good things. Theyve also got plenty of active DnD and gaming groups of all varieties. Turnouts for midnight pre-releases are also always good. My favorite public place to hang out and play MTG/boardgames.

Its like stepping in a time machine to a comic book store in the 90s. With a friendly and helpful staff and a huge selection of fairly priced books, you cant go wrong here.
