Why range of styles. The furniture tends to be more ornate, but I found a lovely little 1950s TV table. Clean lines more modern and design.If youre in the area recommend you stop by

My boyfriend and I visited for this first time a few weeks ago. I was excited to find unique decor items. Upon entering the store, the cashier looked at us but didn’t speak. Then walking around and looking at other items, other employees looked but also didn’t greet us or speak. Definitely rethought spending our money here and walked out after a few minutes. Not a pleasant first experience nor was anyone friendly or welcoming.

A lot of items!! You can find the cutest and oldest things and really interesting things. Be prepared to spend a bit of time in here. We spent about an hour in the store. Larger than it looks. And the people are the sweetest.

For anyone who loves antiques and the unusual, Design and Consign is a must visit! I could spend hours there. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

This is a wonderful antique store full of so many little things to brighten up your home. Make sure to look at both stores for antiques in the one on the right side of the building and refurbished furniture on the left.

We absolutely love looking around the shops at all of the treasures. The staff and the artists are lovely to work with. We are so lucky to now own 3 beautiful, artistically refinished pieces of furniture that Sheryl revamped. Shes AMAZING! We even drove from Ohio to collect our newest pieces.....totally worth the trip!

Love coming to shop here. I always seem to find something that a cant leave without. The people that work there are amazing and with the 2 locations being rite next to eachother you can almost always find what you are looking for.

So, this was not our first time in the store and it wont be our last. They have such a great variety of decor items that nearly anyone can find something of interest. We have now completed a dining room set of Lane mcm(all from this store) and the prices were very reasonable.

Friendly but very over priced

Loved the unique pieces of this shop. Its an excellent place to find crafts, furniture and jewelry for everyone on your list. The owner also allowed us to have my baby shower in their craft classroom space. It was the PERFECT location! All the guests LOVED being able to meander around and look at everything while waiting for everyone to arrive. The craft area also has a stage that was perfect for the cake and for opening gifts. I can not express how perfect this space was for the afternoon. Thank you Design & Consign!

Great service and a huge selection. I feel like I could spend hours in their store and still miss something. Plus, while I was shopping, one of the owners kept my daughter occupied with an Easter egg search game. Great experience all around and I love the pieces Ive bought from them.

Ive been to this store in Newport News near James River Bridge several times. They usually have something for their customers on a regular basis, cookout special events hot dogs drinks. They have a wide selection of handmade, handcrafted items as well as Antiques and used Goods. They have an amazing selection of handmade soaps, lotions, Etc. Johnny and Robert the owners, and Timmy are amazing guys. They work hard and effortlessly to organize their inventory and are so pleasant to customers. This store is a must visit if youre looking for that special gift or something extra and you need for your home.

Lots of great items displayed really nicely, very clean. Some prices seemed a little high, but they were willing to negotiate.

Would give zero stars if possible.We brought in several pieces of furniture 5 months ago. We were told we would be called to pick up a check after anything sold. Most of the items sold in December, and checks were written in February. We were NEVER called, and the owner and staff were extremely rude the few times we attempted to inquire on items that were no longer on display. After repeated efforts we got one check 3 months ago and one this past weekend.Now one item remains, a cupboard they are using to display paints in their vendor area. I asked 4 days ago to have it more clearly marked as For Sale, as it looked too much like a fixture, and was told that the vendor using it would contact me. It was, of course, the owner using it. When my husband followed up today to see if anything had changed, the staff was again rude and he lost his cool.Shortly thereafter I got a call from the owner, who would not let me get a word in edgewise, telling me to remove my cupboard immediately or she would trash it. I left work and tried to talk to her and her staff, but she threatened that if I did not leave immediately she was calling the police.I never raised my voice, used any ugly words, or made threats - EXCEPT to publicize my terrible experience with her. Ill go back in 2 hours with a truck and see how shes left it.
