Great store for exploring. Perfect place to bring the kids and help them find things from mechanics to science toys. We went to hunt down RC parts, they have a great selection.

Nice small shop with aisles of hobbies, toys, games and crafts. I feel whatever item you cant find in normal stores, check either Ace Hardware and if they dont got it, then Hobby Town will. Great service!My experience: Searched all over town for this Bondic UV Ray aka 5 second fix glue pen and finally, FINALLY, found it in store and in stock at Hobby Town which Ive never heard of before. In addition, it was at the front counter right when you walk into the store. Awesome service!

Ive been buying drones, rockets, RC trucks, RC cars, supplies, and tools from this local shop for years. Great folks to work with. Tracy, Chris, Renee and all the team are fantastic. Just recently discovered the Mini-z race course in the back of the store. The cool thing about the track is that its free to use during store hours. So, I started with pulling my old XMods out again, but Tracy convince me to pickup the Kyosho MiniZ - which is so much more advanced - as it should be after 10+ years of technological advancements. But, I still bring the old XMods for others to try when Im practicing and Ive left a couple at the store to demo when Im not there. Thats what these pictures capture. Just look at the smiles on their faces. Love my hobbies! Love spending time with my kids there. Thanks Hobby Lobby! Keep it up!

Also have a variety of things to look at or buy from puzzles, stuffed animals, models, accessories etc. They also have sessions on Mondays and Thursdays to bring a model to build and paint. You can most anything for any mainstream hobby.Planes, Trains, Automobiles, and Board games.They have a variety of stuff. So its a good place to pick up a gift for a child or big child.Nice selection and nice staff make it easy.

Was considering buying the traxxas trx4 when i entered the store. There was an employee in there who was knowledgeable on the topic and actually brought in his personal model as an example for me to check out. Long story short i bought the truck and have been happy with it ever since. Overall the staff seems much better than they were years prior

They were very helpful and knew exactly what I needed for my upgrade on my rc car and helped me put it together and explained how to do it. Also gave me some product information for future upgrades. I also bought my first drone at a beginner level so I am definitely going to be back for other things in the future. Theyre kind and helpful. I highly recommend this shop.

Ive gone through helo, drone, boats, planes and now 1/10 scale crawlers and they have been my main source for repairs, parts and advice on all my projects for years ! Clean, well stocked store. This was my first visit to a HobbyTown USA store. The collection of models, including Gundam/Robots, and paints was impressive and encouraging. It was wonderful to see the hobby train stock from N-scale to O-Scale trains, track and details. Decent service, but there were background system issues that may have contributed to the overwhelmed look of the staff. This is the first hobby style shop that I felt the staff was not into what they were doing, but again, that may just have been the day.I will definitely be going back, as I believe there is great potential here, and they have all the last minute items I might need for my eclectic interests and hobbies.

Great selection most people dont realize how much is actually in here.

Bought a battery operated Apprentice S 15 e in December 2017. Weather conditions became favorable for flying in February 2018. The battery that came with the plane would not charge. Returned to Hobby Town and a new battery was ordered at no charge. All male and female are very knowledgeable and especially courteous and willing to listen to your concerns. This was my third recent major purchase, first was a metal detector and second was a M-41 Traxxas Wide Body Catamaran. Oh yeah the business was clean and properly lighted and what an inventory. They cant even keep track of their damn online inventory.FOUR OUT OF FIVE of their model train sets arent even in the trains section.The only good thing I found here was a model train club open house date.And I bet the 5-star reviews are only from people who work there.

Lacking in knowledge, typical of chain stores. Sadly this is what local hobby shops have fallen too due to internet sales, and ease of information.As of June 2019, the staff have improved.Rene does a good job, when she is not in, very hit and miss service.

Came in the other day because i had an issue with my RC Car. Renee was the young lady back in the RC area and was quick to help me out, and diagnose that there was an issue with the receiver. The ladies there are always quick to help out and a pleasure to talk to. Keep up the good work.

They do not back the products they sell. My drone never flew once. Plug in battery and went to protection mode. Not one second of air time. No exchange no refund! Oh and I have over 15k followers that will be aware of this. Wonder if the no cost exchange will loose more money for your company than gained by crappy customer service. Great service.

Nice salesperson. Didnt have much in the drone section but the guy was knowledgeable.UPDATE manager said he is going to have drone racing next door and will be updating his drone supply, awesome!

While I was on vacation from Ohio 3yrs ago I thought I would in and see what you had vs my stores in central Ohio. When I arrived I was sort of greeted by a young man of course everyone is young to me. Im 65 ! I was checking out the models and this guy the entire time was giving me the evil eye like he thought I was going to rob him or something! I was going to spend some money there but declined because of the way I was treated! I am back to Williamsburg this week and I may drop back in and I may not, we will see!

Here I am giving 5 Star review for this store because they refunded me fully when I took back a copter that that had one of the props not working.They were gracious and very helpful.I purchased my new copter from another store because they did not carry DJI but still I appreciate their professionalism. I hope in the future they carry DJI so that I can buy my product locally instead of online.Thank you.

I am not into R/C, so I can not comment on that part of the business. As for everything else they sell, trains, models, gaming, etc. I can. Good selection of model kits with good prices. Good selection on model tools and supplies, except no electrical wire and connections for anything other than R/C. Poor selection on model trains and supplies, prices 5 to 10% above most other retailers. They sell mostly train sets and the staff knowledge is pretty limited to that. If youre a grandparent looking to get a child a train set theyre the place. If youre a serious model railroader, theyre ok for a few things that youve come up short on mid project. Otherwise the inventory looks like a guess what would sell come ordering time. Given the number of model train clubs in the area I can not understand why they have not been in contact for advise on stocking. Model railroader spend on average over $1000.00 a year on their hobby, why isnt Hobbytown USA going after this money.

Tried to warranty a broke metal detector. Told i have to go straight to the manufacturer.Why even buy local anymore? Used to be buying local meant you got service with your purchase. Might as well buy online for cheaper. Same no service you get from trying to support local shops, just better price. Wont go back to a store that makes a sale and then stops caring...More than happy to pay more if it would come with service....even just help in contacting the manufacturer instead of sorry, you have to send it back to ___________.Heck, i had trouple getting help when i made the purchase. That should have been my first clue...

Well first time in this location. The staff is awesome. The products and hobbies for the whole family. Unfortunately they dont carry much or any 5th scale rc parts. Besides that I think I will be making this place my go to place for my rc addiction.

Im a regular customer and I have never had a problem with anything, other than replacement parts always seem to be out of stock so Im always waiting for something to come in. The employees are helpful and know their stuff.

I would have given 1 but at least they know about their products. I bought a Quantum FPV Quad-copter and the metal part of the USB stuck in the charger after I tried charging. I brought it back the same day and they gave me another no problem. I went home to fly and the camera wouldnt work half the time, sometimes the drone and controller would not pair, the screw in the back of the controller got stuck (I ended up almost striping it before getting it undone), the drone would sometimes fall out of the sky for no reason and if I pushed the elevator knob up to counter it it did nothing and plummeted. I gave them the drone back the next day and they refused to give me my money back even though the person that suggested I buy from this place has brought many items back. They said they would work on repairing it but its been about a week and I still dont have it. Basically, Im out $200 for them not being able to supply a working product.
