Grabbed a bite at Salsas mexican grill. It was chilly outdoors when we came into the IceCream parlor we asked the young girl if we could use the chairs in the corner to have a seat about 6 of us. She got her manager and the manager came out and got the chairs for us she was as delightful as can be my hot fudge brownie was delicious we will be back everything was great we told the manager thank you again all 4 workers In the establishment was great

Last night I decided to try this ice cream but wasn’t sure what to order since I’d never been there before and the 2 young ladies working were so helpful. They offered free samples and gave me their opinions on which flavors they liked. I ended up getting red velvet and it was delicious and with that customer service I will definitely be returning with my family next time.

It I could give this place 0 stars I would. I went there today with my husband and there were only 2 employees working. No communication seemed to be happening between them. When it was time to order, the male employee asked what we wanted and it took forever for us to tell him what we wanted. It was not that difficult. I had gotten a waffle cone and my husband got a cup with one flavor in it and when we went to pay, the total was $17.85. How in the world does that make sense. The ice cream was not even worth the money and it completely ruined my day. I agree with everyone else about the ice cream being overpriced and customer service being terrible. I even asked if they offered military discount and he rudely said “only cash discount”. I do not recommend and wish I did not waste almost 20 dollars on mediocre ice cream.

We frequent the ice cream shop at lease twice a month with our kids! We always have a great experience! The store is always clean and staffed with friendly employees. My favorite ice cream is their new lavender flavor!!

Love city center ice cream but came approximately at 2:30ish Sign says open no one is in the store Guess no ice cream for me today! Don’t have open sign on if it is not open!

The only reason why this place received a one star review is because my nephew enjoyed his scoop of ice cream. The young lady assisting us was very nice, but the owner of this establishment needs better management skills and training. He literally berated his employee in front of me and when she told him (calmly) that she understood and that he doesn’t need to speak to her in the manner in front of customers, he grabbed her ice cream scooper and told her to go home. I couldn’t believe my eyes! I told the manager/owner how I felt about the exchange but he didn’t utter a mum. It is my hope that this young lady finds better employment. She didn’t deserve to be treated in this manner. I will never step foot in this establishment again! With management like this, it’s no wonder he can’t find employment. Do yourselves a favor and patronize establishments that treat their employees like human beings.

Ice cream was fresh and tasted like it was made with love... opted out of ice cream [tried the free samples] and decided to try the SHAKES... They were very flavorful... wish the cups had 8 more ounces but hey I would come back and do it all over again... The customer service was almost like theyve known me from somewhere, very friendly and patient.

I prefer it to coldstone! Locally owned and operated, rather than a big chain. The ice cream is yummy, there are plenty of toppings, and the try their best to keep prices fair. Owners even sweeter than the ice cream!

Love it, please keep this place in business, City Center council trying to push them out with higher rent and taking their profits, I would say its because they asian owned but I have no proof. Bottom line: hard working, frinedly, and great ice cream.

If i could give this place a zero star i would! My boyfriend and I went to get ice cream. The board on the wall reads $4.99 for a small. We both got smalls. When it came time to pay…our total was $20.40. HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE! Be cautious of this place. They will SCAM you out of your money!

I entered the ice cream parlor @ 10:15 with the sign saying it closes @ 10:30 AND THE DOOR WAS UNLOCKED!!!! The two girls that were still there told me they just put the ice cream away instead of trying to assist me when the place says it closes in 15 mins. Please update your hours to something earlier if you don’t want to help people 15 mins before closing

I came here and got the blue cotton candy ice cream, which was very creamy and delicious! The staff was friendly, too. This is a very nice, little ice cream shop in the heart of the City Center!

Well went in to get an ice cream for my self and my daughter. I asked for the price on an item. I was told 4.99 I said ok ordered 2 items. The bill was 15.00 I asked why then told there was up charges for the items I ordered. I objected but paid. Then eat my ice cream. Then said no I was ripped off. The employee gave me the wrong price. That is not my fault. I went back in to explain. They basically said to bad so sad. So hope ppl read this and are aware this place is profits not customer service. Ice cream was good. But sadly wont returned even though they have a good product.

They are not mixing anything into ice cream due to COVID however they have 0 signs up until after you have already got ice cream in your cup and it is too late to bail. Also, they have a sign up saying the govenor is the reason they HAVE to require mask and CANT do mix ins....which is not true anymore. So basically I got plan chocolate ice cream in a waffle cup for $8. Go to DQ or COLDSTONE.

The girl working named Kaelin I believe was so kind. I came in a week or two ago. She really helped me and my friend pick out the flavor we wanted. She was great and I gave her a tip because of it. Will come back cause the great service. Told my parents to go check it out cause of how kind she was.

When I walked in no one was at the front. I waited maybe 3-5 mins before someone walked out from the back. Very unprofessional. Then when I ordered she got my order wrong. They are extremely pricy as well. Paid about $5 for a KIDDIE ice cream that only contains one scoop with no toppings nothing just the ice cream.

The ice cream was not bad (my 3 kids and I all had cones.) However, I was concerned because while everyone was wearing masks, which was good, none of the workers were wearing gloves. They were even touching the cones with their bare hands and bumping fingers with customers when they handed them the cones. I think its very essential that they start wearing gloves when serving ice cream during a pandemic. My husband did really enjoy his pineapple smoothie though!

The ice cream is probably really good but the Green Smoothie was disgusting. They use bottled apple juice and ice cream? Also, they put loose FROZEN spinach in there too. It tastes like thick apple juice and the spinach gave it a gritty texture. 100% would NOT recommend.

11/11/2020 around 1:30 I decided to stop by and grab myself a treat. This IceCream shop was very busy with customers and only one person working.. She was very fast paced and as sweet as can be. She had a mask on and sanitized her hands between every person she encountered. During Covid I find this extremely important.. I give this company 5 stars because of her actions.

My husband and I have been coming here for years... Reason for two stars is because Lately the customer service has not been good they don’t smile they don’t engage with any of the customers in a friendly manner we feel un welcomed.. I came last night and they didnt know what they were doing.. The manager does not work here anymore I have not seen her in awhile they need to find someone like her she was a doll we miss her dearly.. They changed the sizes of the ice cream cups it seems. But the ice cream is to fantastic

First time in city center the heart of Newport News Virginia. Grabbed a salad at taste and came upon this little shop! Got myself a chocolate malt it was fantastic it had a nice consistency the store itself was clean and smelled even better. I paid with card but they do offer a discount if you pay with cash no military though. Employee was friendly service was fast. I recommend stopping in you will not regret its delicious!

Usually the service is great and upbeat but My family and I came here on Sunday the 25th approximately 7pm, I waited outside looking at the menus with my family so we did not have to bring everyone inside. As I was standing there I noticed both girls were not actively working they were standing around talking infront of the checkout register doing dance tricks. The outside tables were dirty and I found it unprofessional

My first experience in the Parlor wasn’t positive. The Hostess/Cashier was over demanding and bossy from the time my 6 year old daughter and I walked in the door. There is a menu in plane sight as you walk in the parlor, so I stopped and started reading the menu. The Hostess said “You need to go to the front of the store to read the menu”I replied by saying “once I’m finished reading the menu I will move forward “ keep in mind there was no one in the store nor was there any other customers coming in so why the rush. Needless to say after going back and forth about where I can and cannot read a menu, I decided not to get ice-cream from this parlor.Key takeaway if you go to this parlor, whether packed or not once you enter the main entrance your not suppose to stop and read the menu until you are at the Front.Recommendation: Move the sign so you don’t have issues with customers wanting to read it! Picked up a cake yesterday with no troubles they already had some made which worked out fantastic for my husbands birthday today it tasted amazing! It was outstandingly beautiful as well. The young women wrote on it for me to make it special for my husband I will defiantly be coming back for my daughters cake

I’m not the type to write reviews. But I entered this shop during an altercation and the customer tried to physically attack these two girls working and they handled it VERY well and continued to reassure me they had it under control, the customer was absolutely out of line and these young ladies deserve recognition for not engaging in the physical altercation and security quickly came. The ice cream was delicious and the customer service was amazing. I will return!

First off because of the pandemic you get small amounts of toppings in a small cup not enough and they dont have all the flavors and its overpriced if you want to pay 11.50 for a big ice cream and a baby handful of topping go on head.

I just visited this ice cream shop today, I am from out of town. I got the banana ice cream with graham cracker mix in, he got the brownie sundae. They were both delicious. I got mine in their homemade waffle cone and it was fresh and tasty. Very much recommend this place. The service was quick and friendly.

I called today on short notice for a gender reveal cake and he had it made and done! Was delicious and all ice cream is made their on site! Highly recommend!!

It was the first time in my life I had BAD ice cream. I ordered the coconut which is normally my favorite. I could not tell what flavor it was. It had a chemical taste and was awful.

Ordered through DoorDash and received the wrong order, I then called the store and got transferred to the manager she went above and beyond to make sure a new order was delivered to my home and added a coupon for next time I use there establishment. The ice cream here was really nice and creamy just like homemade ice cream is.. It was a bit crammed to be sitting at little tables but i guess it works for them.. I do however think the store should be a bit bigger if they expect for customers to sit in (as their tables and chairs suggest) but if they expect for customers to walk in and out itll be nice for them to move the tables and chairs out the way. The staff was nice and attentive not much of engaging conversation going on as explained above the place is crammed ( for my taste

Probably the best customer service I’ve received in a while! I hate to be the Debby downer but I encountered an issue with my ice cream I brung it to a staff members attention as he called over what seemed like management. She gave me a refund like I asked and catered to what I asked for next. The store was clean the ice cream was great the staff was more then friendly and I even received a $5 gift card for the encountered issue... I am very please with this ice cream shop located in city center the staff deserves 5 stars and so does management

Coming in on a Sunday between 2:00-3:00 I suppose is prime time for ice cream. There was a solid 15-20 people waiting in line. One employee working which I do not understand but she handled it great. Had a lot of patience for the Indecisive family ahead of myself once it was my turn she accommodated all my sample request (WHICH WAS ALOT!!) The ice cream is great. I will be returning

I have been twice and the first time was amazing! I loved the service and the ice cream. I went today and I was less than pleased with the service/ ice cream. First off, the server put the wrong mix-in in my ice cream and was just going to scoop it off the top. I had to tell her to get me new ice cream. 2. She just put it in a cup without asking if I wanted a cone. 3. The oreos in my ice cream were stale and tasted old. I was very disappointed with the whole thing.

The ice cream is pretty good, and the milkshakes are milkshakes with good ice cream. The ice cream cakes look great. The staff is helpful, but not super fast, probably because business there doesnt require it (rarely a line). The is seating indoors and outside.

Love love love their ice cream! I came in looking for rocky road but it turns out you can mix in whatever you actually want in it. They make their ice cream right there in the store and use the high % expensive stuff that comes through in the taste. I talked to the owner (very sweet) and from what I gathered, she was excited about switching over to a local dairy farmer. Support your local business and farms!

This place is not good at all. We ordered a pecan ice cream in a cup, there was NOT A NUT in the ice cream. My moms cheesecake ice cream didnt taste like cheesecake AT ALL, SMH. And with it being overpriced, definitely will NOT be back.

Great place! The ice cream is made ALL natural/homemade. Strawberry ice cream is made with ACTUAL strawberries, banana is made with ACTUAL bananas. No chemicals artificial flavor etc. all waffle cones/bowls/dipped cones are homemade as well as the ice cream. Nice friendly atmosphere..

The best ice cream ever!! When the owners are there, they are very friendly. There are a group of about 3 young girls who were working together the weekend we visisted. The girl who helped us never greeted us. My mom said, oh.. I bet that flavor is popular. And the girl said in the most serious and monotone voice its not. As we asked for suggestions. She stared past us as she answered in a very quiet, monotone voice again. She only answered in as few words as she could. The most she said was cinnamon is my favorite. With Graham cracker crumbles. The coconut shake we got was good, but very thin. Drank it like a glass of milk.I gave it 4 stars because their product is out of this world. The best ice cream Ive had in a long time. And the location is clean and easy to access. Plus, when I returned and the owners were there, I got fantastic service. So maybe she was just having a bad day??

It is a nice spot for ice cream with polite staff. They were formerly a Maggie Moos and now have a cold stone style of ice cream. The mix-ins and waffle foods are great. The ice cream continues to offer weak flavors though and lacks the richness and depth of cold stone ice creams.

If I could give 6 stars I defiantly would!! Tiara rocks I come in all the time but we finally exchanged names tonight. Always holds a conversation and accommodates me and my significant others needs!! Will definitely be coming back the ice cream is amazing and Ms.Tiara explained how it’s made will bring my granddaughter in this place is amazing!

I recently went to this place and notice that it had barely any people. I decided I wanted to be kind so I bought I tiny ice cream come from them. I had never tasted something so stale until today. The cone and the toppings were stale. And last time I recall, toppings take a couple of years to go stale. I dont know maybe they were left out for to long. But at least the ice-cream wasnt expired

Let me just start off by WOW!! I am in complete shock on how well this place is kept up. I came in lastnight my daughter got a milkshake it was done within a blink of an eye! The young lady and young man working the register could not find a button and they called over which seemed to be a manager of some sort and she helped them right away and had plenty of patience.. The ice cream shop was VERY clean I have a big family and I was out the door within 3 to 5 minutes. The store was quite busy I probably had about two families before my family and the young lady was assigning the employees which family to take and making sure the customers did not have to wait. I must say that was a smart move because we were in and out! We sat outside at the nice tables that the young girl wiped off for us and asked if there was anything else she could help us with. These employees look like they genuinely love there place of work! We sat for about 30-40 minutes enjoying our milkshakes and ice cream. The store got busy and they contained it very well. As soon as the customers got out the young lady started cleaning up IMMEDIATELY! The young man came out with a mop to clean up some sort of leftover ice cream on the floor as soon as she pointed to the spot on the floor it seemed. Cleaning the glass and wiping the tables up! These are young teenagers that are VERY well trained I am shocked! I had nothing but smiles towards me and my family and I felt very welcomed I am very happy to see how well this place was handled and how happy everyone was. 5 stars to City Center Ice Cream!! My only complaint is I wish I would of got the staffs names!

Came in here after my grandchildren took pictures with Santa while we wait for the tree lighting festival in a few. The workers were nice as can be and the ice cream almost looks like gelato but it was delicious!
