I have been here on several occasions for tire repairs and purchase and most recently for brakes. I love these guys - they are friendly, up front, and reasonable. They fit me in every time when each time was an emergency. They seem like they want to help you, and I trust them.

Everyone makes a mistake now and then. How you handle it is the difference between good service and horrible. I took my van to Car-X for brakes. Upon inspection, they suggested I needed axle bearings, too. One of the bearings failed within a couple of weeks and damaged the axle. Car-X not only replaced the bearing, but the axle, too, and did so without hassle or complaint.

The absolute best and honest corporate owned car repair company Ive ever dealt with. On first name basis with the top two employees and theyre the best auto mechanics youll ever find in NKY, in my opinion. Take my word for it. Ive had record level car troubles and I would be swimming in debt right now if it wasnt for this company and these two fellows.Shout out to Kirk & Scott! Took my car here to get a flat fixed. My tires were almost due to be replaced anyway so I went ahead and had them all replaced. They got me a buy 3 get 1 free deal which was nice but my car smelled like cigarettes for a few days when I got it back.When I went to have my snow tires put on, the other shop found out that a couple lugnuts had been crossthreaded by CarX and they broke when they tried to get them off. With extra labor and parts, what should have cost me $80 ended up running me $320 for them to fix CarX’s mistake.

Great friendly service. You can get a coupon online. Thats why i went however the oil type was not what was required by my vehicle specs. Every employee i came in contact with in the bay was knowledgeable about that. They prevented me from damaging my vehicle with the wrong oil

Why would you go anywhere else? Scott at the Newport car x has been there for years - always friendly and honest.I have gone a few times thinking I had a problem with my car or told him bjad a problem and he doesnt take advantage and fix something that isnt even broke.Lobby is always clean never uncomfy to wait in.

Took my Honda Accord there and was told the engine was damaged. I was expecting it to be a coil or spark plug so this was a shock to me and decided to get a second opinion. Took it to another mechanic and it was repaired in one day and runs perfectly now! It was spark plugs and coil as I suspected! I almost junked a perfectly good car because of this and was really disappointed because the guys working there seemed trustworthy! I wasn’t going to leave a bad review until my friend from work had the same experience at a different Car X. All I’m saying is get a second opinion if this happens to you, do yourself a favor and go to Pangallos down the street! If I could give zero stars I would for wasting my time and almost costing me a perfectly good car!

Best Car-X Ive been to, hands down. Any time I went in for an examination or repair, the prices were consistently reasonable and understandable, the labor was always performed with excellent skill, and everything was performed in a timely manner, often in LESS time than what the mechanics would quote me. Great service, and its obvious that these guys know their stuff!On top of that, Kirk is by far the best employee I came into contact with at ANY Car-X location. All of the employees are fine, dont get me wrong, but Kirk really went above and beyond to make sure that my car was in the best condition it could be, and that I could have peace of mind while repairs were being done or while repairs were planned for the future. Kirk had no problem answering my numerous questions in easily understandable ways, explaining repair procedures, telling me what services/parts I should worry about now and which ones can be completed later on, and even taking me into the garage to personally show me specifically what he would be doing and how. Kirk 100% made all of my Car-X experiences top-notch, and for that Im extremely appreciative, especially since he always put in a true effort to connect with me as a person, rather than as just another customer.

My girlfriend and I have been taking our vehicles to Car-X in Newport for about a year now. They have been nothing but great to us. they let my girlfriend know that her brakes werent bad instead of being like most places and telling her that she needs a complete brake replacement, theylubed her brakes for her so they wouldnt squeak sending out the door and didnt even charge her labor time to look at the car. Ive had my truck and Jeep in there several several times and every single time Kirk, Scott, and Rob are always extremely nice knowledgeable and helpful. They do more than go out of their way to ensure Im happy with my vehicle and that its always running and not going to let me down. Id give this car-x 5 stars and those three gentlemen5 stars as well. I have stopped bringing my vehicles to a trust mechanic of over 10 years because I am more than happy and satisfied with the work these guys have doneand they never questioned any work theyve previously done should it need fixed again.

I have been taking my car here since the dealer messed up my brakes almost 8 years ago. I rate this store 5 stars because Scott Stewart and Kirk Grimm are the best. They explain everything where I can understand and they show me the issues which could be hazardous. I don’t trust anyone with my car but Scott and Kirk, they are a great asset to your company.

Everyone in the shop is honest and will explain things so you understand them.When I first started going to them I would go for second opinions and they found things the other shops didnt or find that the other shops gave quotes to replace things that wouldnt have fixed the problem.This is now the first place I take my car.I could go on and on with examples about how other shops like firestone, tires plus or bob Sumeral wanted to repair my exhaust for 450.00 and carx replaced a gasket that fixed the problem for 35 bucks.Tires plus wanted to do 1400.00 worth of work and carx did it for 280 and found that they were wanting to replace things and do work on my car that wouldnt have fixed the problem.
