Nice staff and excellent latte in a bike shop.

I spent nine months working on the Appalachian Trail, traveling between different trail towns and chatting with hikers. Trailhead Coffee takes me back to those days. It feels very much like the kind of place in a trail town that a bunch of hikers would hang out. Great drinks at decent prices, with the ambiance of an active bike shop, the repair bay serves as some excellent entertainment. Not much seating though, its definitely a good place to hang out on a Saturday morning

Really good espresso. Cappuccino was the traditional style and quite good. Iced caramel macchiato too. We got three drinks and everyone enjoyed them. Recommended!

Loved everything about this place!! The service was friendly and helpful, the environment eclectic and fun and the coffee was delicious!!! I loved that I had the option to have a latte with oat milk! And it was super yummy! Cannot wait to go back.

Great coffee and nice folks.

Walked around Newport and Covington all day yesterday running errands. I was looking for a local coffee place I had never tried before, and was delighted to come upon this place. My boyfriend and I walked up, not realizing it was 3:50 and they closed at 4. The woman behind the counter was very rude to us. We informed her it was our first time there, and wanted to know what was good. She replied with “I can’t tell you what to get because I don’t know what you drink”. We finally decided on what we wanted. She handed us our drinks, I said “thanks have a good one!” And proceeded to leave her a 3$ tip on a 7$ order. And she didn’t even reply. Not even a smile. She should have just told us they were closed if she didn’t want to serve us. The drinks were great, but I’ll spend my money elsewhere next time.

Rude and overly chatty woman behind the bar. She also doesn’t seem to know how to make coffee - milk was too hot and poorly foamed and my espresso was bitter. In my opinion, their only saving grace was Wood Burl coffee, which they don’t use anymore.I’d HIGHLY suggest going across the river or down the road to the brunch spot.Edit: visited within the past two months. Won’t be returning.

This place is super cute. Its tucked in the back of a bike shop in Newport and the barista really took pride in what she was doing and made a quality cup of coffee. There is a little seating around and some fun snacks/treats if youre hungry! The scones looked so delicious. Ill have to try one next time Im there.

Cute small coffee shop. Its connected to a bike shop. Its a good place to grab a drink and go. Some seating buy not much. I really enjoyed the coffee and that the berrista asked me how sweet I liked my coffee.

Barista ignored us on purpose. Might be because my black friend was with me. I stood there with a $20 bill in my hand and waited for about 5 minutes and when I said to my friend ok lets leave she looked up and smiled/smirked. Wont be going back. Used to buy my bike stuff here too and was excited to be back... Will be finding another place.**Edit in response to the owner: didnt even consider she might have been discriminating on our vegan question. Thanks for that tidbit.

Stopped in on a whim, amazing cup of pourover Brazilian, and an amazing caramel latte for my lady. Quite possibly the best coffee in Newport, hidden in a bike shop!

Rode the little miami scenic bike trail and had to stop for bike repair . the staff completed the fix in a jiff replaced plastic with rubber and metal .no more problems. And the hospitality was amazing along with great espresso!!!!!!!

This coffee shop is perfect simplicity. No frills and a small menu lead to a pretty perfect cup of coffee. Located in the back of Reser bicycle it can be easy to miss, keep your eyes peeled they have their own entrance down a side street.No need to learn any fancy names for coffee sizes here...they only come in one size! Let me recommend the grizzley. This place uses local made caramel and it adds just the right amount of sweetness. As a gal who doesnt love overly sweet coffee this was perfect for me!This is the only place in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky that offers Wood Burl Coffee and let me tell you, youve got to try it- in the coffee game, its kind of amazing. Its roasted locally in Dayton, Ohio and the flavors change seasonally...its that good!Get some!

They have some of best coffee in my opinion and it seems like the food offerings have been stepped up as well. The cheddar biscuits, scones, cookies, pies and waffles are all top notch, but Im partial to the biscuits
