On the door says they close at 9pm... its 7:38 pm and the doors are locked... Theres no note about closing and Im being ignored on the other side; when Im just trying to ask if theyre closed! Ignoring me when we both know you can see me is just rude! I get it if youre closed but theres no nor so WE DONT!!!

I am not sure what is happening at this Newport location but I have stopped there the last 2 weeks between 11am and noon on Saturday and the door is locked. First time no note or anything on the door, a number of people attempted to shop there while I waited, but finally just left. This time a note for the truck stating they will be back soon. Not sure how you run a store like that.

Great place to shop

I used to love that this store was in walking distance to my apartment. I ran in there all the time to grab little things and it was always convenient. Rarely had a bad experience shopping here

They have a lot of neat little things but the store is in complete disarray. Its easy to see that they are understaffed. However, the Store Manager is extremely sweet and caring, regardless of the few rude customers that make the rest of our experiences difficult. All-in-all, its not a bad place to shop. I enjoy it and hope to see the place make a wonderful turn around.

The store had merchantdise all over the store. They automatically tell you when you walk in the store they announce that they need to have any bag you walk in with needs to be checked in the front of the store. A lot of the products dont have prices. So you have to walk to the front of the store for a price check. Not very friendly either.

The store is completely clean and organized now! They had sale items and everything is easy to find! Go check it out

Been going to this family dollar for years. Always convenient and nice but the customer service has definately done the opposite of improve lately. The boss is getting screwed by the workers. Place has gone down hill thats for sure

This store is always busy. Its not in the best part of town but they always have tons of merchandise. Not very clean but they make up in staff. Staff is always willing to help customers even if they have a long line.

Lets just say Ill be calling code enforcement and their corporate office Monday morning! It is that bad here. It literally looks like the place had a tornado go thru it. Its definitely not safe for customers to be in this store. It needs new management or something. You have to ask the staff where stuff is then theyll tell you what box you have to go dig thru yourself and you dont even get a discount for having to do THEIR JOB!!!!

I was just in there looking for body lotion and a few other items. I was so disgusted by the trash, clutter, boxes, long line and crowded isles with boxes, I turned around and walked out. I felt sorry for the attendant because she is one of the few nice ones there. Its sad that so many people in that area DEPEND on that store for EVERYTHING. And the owners know it but the dont care because of the area its in. Owners need to step up and get that place in order; outside, inside AND personnel wise.

Its a good family dollar, can get most of your household needs for a cheap price, especially with the smart coupons. The roof is falling in unfortunately after long hard rains so hopefully they can get that fixed.

On January 19th last night I went to get meds for my sick baby an the lady there working was very rude to me cussed me out an said she was going to call the cops because it was 9 pm an they dont close till 10pm she said she was closeing the store early due to the weather and there wasnt even any snow yet she was rude an disrespectful to the fullest

Shop there all the time always sorry what I need at a good price

Store is an absolute mess trash laying everywhere in the store and in parking lot. Items are scattered all over the floor. Employees use fowl language in front of children and are very ride one of the worst places Ive ever been in. It should be condemned

The Newport family Dollar is one of the dirtiest stores i have ever seen. Inside and out. Floors are disgusting its hard to believe that NO one has done anything about this store.

Average sized family Dollar store but with a heavy emphasis on food since there is no nearby grocery store. Unfortunately there is usually a wait to check out.

Cheap stuff for cheap! I like the plus sized clothes, but this ones clothes are always a mess and you cant find anything!
