So thankful for these guys! I came out of work to a full puddle of oil under my car. I managed to get to the garage 30 minutes before they closed but they were so accommodating! They threw the car up on the lift and discovered that the oil plug was THIS CLOSE to coming out completely! They tightened the plug, found the oil cap that I had dropped when I was putting extra oil in the car, and made sure I was good to go! Thank you SO MUCH guys!!
My experience with Monro was excellent. I was able to get an appointment quickly and the customer service person was vey easy to talk to. They promptly fixed my problem and were flexible about the pick up time.
I was very impressed by the managers honesty. I Come with a battery that had been problematic and I asked him to check my battery and replace it if it needed to be replaced and to attach a battery minder (that I had purchased elsewhere) on either the new battery or the old battery. When I came back he had attached the battery minder to the old battery. The bottom line is that I was not charged anything for inserting the minder and to come back when the battery needed to be replaced. He did not make any money, but he certainly made a very happy customer who will be back and will be recommending this manager to others. Currently my old battery is working very well due to the addition of a battery minder.
I wish I could give this place 6 Stars. Broke down in my work truck right in front of this shop about 15 minutes before close. I was on my way to a customer and the manager here took the time out of his day to diagnose and help repair a minor issue, that would have been a major issue for me being the mechanical novice I am. I don’t think he even realized how much he helped me. One of the nicest people I have ever met and an expert mechanic. Thank you.
I got good tires, but took the car to the dealer for a second opinion after brake work was recommended by this shop, and the dealer had a different diagnosis.

These guys really did me a solid. I called these guys after a Sullivan dropped the ball and forgot to order my tires, on a Friday before a long drive the next day. I have had my car serviced and repaired at this Monro in Newton for the past few years and have been impressed by Nate and Marcus for their knowledge and skill. Not only are they friendly and upfront about what needs to be done, but also really care about cars and will go the extra mile to ensure the job gets done right.
My brakes stopped working literally in front of this shop, so despite that....this was a great experience! The pricing for brake repairs/replacements is comparable to the area, i wish the company had more coupons though.The service was awesome, Nate & Marcus are knowledgable and professional. They had my brakes repaired quickly & picking up the car went smoothly. Ill definitely come back for maintenance!

I was so unbelievably happy when I drove by this shop. I had both my kids in the car when it started making an aggressive noise and my gauges told me I needed service. When I went in and explained to Nathaniel what was happening while I was driving, he knew exactly how to correct my issue. The staff was super nice and worked quickly to get me right in, despite my unscheduled appearance. The rear end service was done fast which was perfect because both my kids were needing some snickers. The price was quite on point too because I wasnt expecting to have to do a repair while living my best life. I would most definitely recommend this place because they were so helpful and knowledgeable.
Im happy to report that the Newton location continues to offer exceptional and courteous service. Nate is a wonderful manager plus Marcus and the entire staff is very kind and knew their stuff. They will not steer you wrong (pun totally intended) and will not try to rip you off or get you to do things you dont need to do to your car. They are the epitome of old fashioned good business. They treat their customers the way theyd want to be treated and they are honest. As a person who does not know much about cars, they take the time to explain to me what they are doing and why so that I am fully informed and aware. They dont talk down to me or act as if Im an idiot for not being a car expert. They are patient and gladly answer any question I have. I will continue to take my business here.
Extremely bad experience. Went there about one year ago for an oil change with a 14.99 coupon. It was displayed in front also, the oil change is 16.99 or something like that. But an arrogant guy told me they cant work for such low prices, but I said I have a coupon and it is written there too. However I didnt argue and gave the car and left, got it after few hours and he charged 32.55.I think he retaliated for asking for the lower price which he didnt give and I didnt insist also. I found that my fog light wires were cut and door lock lever inside the car on driver side was also broken. How can I prove that arrogant rude guy did it? There is no way but I have never taken this car to anywhere else. Never ever go to such a horrible place. No professional ethics or basic decency.

Did a great job after local Ford dealer service had failed to properly diagnose a severe engine issue. Also corrected an issue with the Clutch that Ford service refused to deal with. Money well spent, 7 year old car now runs as good as new.
I have used this Monroe for my regular maintenance needs for the past four years and have been extremely pleased. The current manager, Nathan, goes above and beyond the call every time I have a repair need. He beats any other price I can find, and is very fair with estimates and labor. He brings me into the garage and actually shows me what needs to be done and why, so I understand it. Hes even told me to call him if I ever have a question about what other service vendors tell me I need done. Could not recommend this Monroe more highly.
All my cars only come to this place! I’d give it 10 stars if I could. Each time I had my car serviced - the service was prompt and prices were fair. They always followed up with price confirmation before repairs were done. Both Nate and Marcus are the best and made me feel comfortable. The prices weren’t being gouged and no games are played with complicated, mechanic lingo just because I am a woman. I called Monroe looking for a battery on the coldest day of the year (it was 5 degrees) at 5:45 pm when they close at 7. Nate told me that he would be able to help me for less than three other places that my frugal self called. Not only was he able to replace mybattery for less, it was installed with the quickness before 6:30.Nate was very professional and courteous, him and the crew really helped my day turn out better after a horrific AAA experience I had dealing with Shadz Towing company.

The reasons for one star are given as follows. First, they promoted the oil change in $15.99. However, it ends up in $23.xx. Second, last year I get a diesel van and they asking for more than $130 to do oil change. They said because I am in high mileage(This is always their excuses to reject you.). While, I ended up in doing it in $20 by Groupon from others by regular oil change and It worked completely fine. I understand that gain. Third, I tried to make an schedule for my 06 Ford Fusion oil change. They said I have to dropped the car and they will call me back when it is ready. I can not make an appointment and wait which mean you might not be able to use your car the whole day. ok I understand their policy. I accept it and stop by and tried to leave my car for the oil change. At store they said I can not do the regular conventional and I have to choose the synthetic one which is double price than the conventional one. The reasons they gave are as follows: My car is over due than regular 3000 miles change and my one is around 5000.Second, my car is in high mileage(my car in 190.5k). Third, they said they are mainly repairing the car not oil change(then why you promoting?). Because they said my car have brakes and tie issues and I was not letting them fix it. The reason I am not letting them fix it because they are charging way more than others. In conclusion, the oil change in promotion is a joke. They are trying to find all kinds of issues from your car so that they can charge you more than necessary. If you reject their fixing, they find all excuse to reject you. My reviews are based on long term observations.

So glad I found this trustworthy repair shop in Newton, It will definitely be my go-to shop one stop for going forward. Great service, amazing prices, and super communicative! I recently had an issue where my KIAs battery kept draining and dying, so I brought it in for a diagnostic check. Turned out there was a parasitic loss within the electrical system killing the battery. Turns out Marcus is a pro with phantom drains. Throughout the entire investigation the team sent text updates and high definition photos. My car was also due for its 40k service, and since it was already in the shop I gave them the green light to handle that, too. Great service, highly recommend! Theres a Dunkins right beside the shop to caffeinate while you wait

This is my regular auto shop and they take good care of me. They involve me in the process, explain to me the problems, and always let me make the decisions on what is done. I made an appointment online last night for an oil change, rotation, wipers for 11am today. After an email confirmation from them I arrived a few minutes early, presented a coupon, and was done within an hour.This visit was a stark contrast to my visit to Monro a few weeks ago in Framingham. Despite the same online appointment (which was never confirmed online) and the same coupon, I waited 3.5 hours and was given a hard time about the free wiper blades on the coupon.Thanks to technician Marcus Crowder in Newton for a smooth, timely, and professional customer experience.
This shop does extraordinary work. Ive been here to the Newton location many times, they exceed expectations everytime. Nate the manager is on point with customer care and is very personable. He has a vast knowledge of ham radios. His car has many antennas recembling a fishing schooner, its a conversation piece. I needed my air conditioner serviced before a heat wave...now my fuel efficient Toyota Prius is cool as a cucumber for my picky Lyft customers

I took my car in for an oil change and they told me that I need to replace all my brake pads because they are very low. I asked him to clarify if it was the front or the rear and he said both. I was like no way, I just had my front brakes replaced 4 months ago and I was pretty confident the guy replaced them. So just to make sure, I took my car to someone with a brain and asked him to look at all the brakes and he said all the brakes were in good condition.

Direct and Prompt service.I have always had prompt and direct service from this location. Nate the service manager always is direct and doesnt try to hand wave you into things.Hes definitely blunt when it comes to auto troubles, and will tell you if there was a mistake that will cost you money.
Do yourself a favor and have your vehicle serviced @ another shop! One with an honest staff who earns your business. As a previous business owner myself, I would rate Monro with Bad Business Practices. The manager Nate is rude refusing to stand behind his work and corporate personal are very disrespectful! When they call you back hang up on you! Comparing market prices for parts and labor Monros are high! Offering little or no warranty! They come across consumed with meeting shop production goals and making bonus then providing services the customer really needs. Check out their postings on indeed.

I was traveling on route 9 in Natick on my way to Boston and one of the tires in my trusty 1998 VW Beetle TDI picked up a nail somewhere. I felt my tire slowly losing air pressure and by the time I was in Newton I knew I needed to fix the tire. I came across this Monro muffler and brake right off of route 9 after a Dunkin donuts. The manager was courteous and attentive, I was amazed at how fast my car was up on a lift and being worked on. Unfortunately I picked up a nail in the road and it pierced through the side wall and the tire needed to be replaced. Luckily the tire size i needed was in stock and I was on my within a half hour. Ive never had a situation go so smoothly and wanted to share my experience

I already changed the oil of my car about 6 times and the last time I was surprised when the manager told me that filter my car was very dirty, and told me that I had never changed and if I wanted to change but had not, the filter moment to change. As aplace exchange the oil of my car and I paid 70 dollars and they never changed my filter. My car is shaking and Im going to have to find another place to make the change. The manager is very stupid and rude.
I recommend this location, because of two people, Marcus and Nate. This was my first time visiting a Monro and I was hesitant to go with a different auto repair business. Being a woman and knowing just the basics about cars, one could understand my initial reservations and worry of being swindled. However, Marcus was kind enough to give my car a full inspection the same day I called making an inquiry about brake service and cost. He took the time to bring me to the car while it was on the lift and explain to me the issues and what each part is, which caused him to stay after closing time. He gave me a quote after, and I then shopped around with that information, and found that they offered the best prices. I brought the car in two days later first thing in the morning and had it back by the end of the day. Nate, the manager, was straight forward, knowledgable and answered all of my follow up questions patiently. My car is back in good shape thanks to them and I will definitely use them again for future auto work.
I came here without an appointment and I was told the service would take more than one hour. So I made an appointment and then I came back, and I was told again that the service would take one and a half hour. I gave up. Whats the point of scheduling a time? Staff not friendly at all. I feel they dont want to be there neither serve you.
