The Staff in the bodyshop was always helpful, cheerful and courteous whenever I spoke with them. I felt that my car was in good hands from the moment I turned over the keys to them. It was only a fender bender but its amazing how many parts were involved in returning my car to her former glory! A BIG Thank You to Keith and Richard!

And a pretty handsome, eye candy service writer with a great sense of humor in there too so it makes the wait easy and prevents any rising anger from lengthy service jobs :) wouldnt get my cars done anywhere else!

My 2020 2500 ram injection pump went out in Newton Kansas. The truck was towed to Conklin Cars Chevrolet dealership where it sat for approximately 60 days before the service department looked at the truck. I called multiple times a week staying on hold getting limited information on my truck that was under full warranty. The dealership would not return a call. The worst service possible. I got Chrysler Care involved and they learned quickly the the dealership would not call them back either. I finally got my truck towed away from the dealership. I would not recommend Conklin for anything.

I called five times in one week trying to figure out what my extended warranty covered and couldn’t seem to get anyone to call me back. I ended up canceling my original appointment due to not knowing what was covered. They called me back the following week and told me what the warranty covered, and they were able to get me in that day. Once I arrived for my appointment I was told it would only take 30 minutes, but ended up taking 3 hours.

I came in to find out if I could get a better deal than the other guy. I definitely got a better deal today. Cal showed me a Jeep compass and even let me try it over night. I came back the next morning and it just wasnt everything I wanted. We had seen a Jeep Grand Cherokee on the website and they got it to the Newton location later that day. It was everything I wanted and it was less expensive than the compass. I was pleased with the way they really worked to make everything so easy.

Before moving to Newton we frequently visited the service shop in Hutchinson. We LOVE the Hutchinson shop! Newtons service shop does not compare, at all. When scheduling the appointment I checked the box stating I would need a ride home. That was a bit of a hassle after I dropped off my vehicle. There were several signs saying ask about our free pickup and delivery services I did ask, but was told it probably wouldnt be available because there isnt enough staff.Next issue: I put in the comments that I heard some squealing before/after stopping. I assumed my brakes were going bad, but at my last oil change I was told everything checked out on the multi-point inspection, and figured since I drive a lot of dirt roads, theyre just dirty. I made a special note about the squealing in the comment section during this oil change. I was asked at drop off if I wanted it diagnosed, which cost $150. I asked arent the brakes on the multi point inspection? I was told yes they are. When they called me later in the afternoon to tell me my vehicle was ready, I asked about the brakes. The service rep told me I needed new rear brakes and rotors. I said thank you, and that Id look into it. I went to pickup my car and the paperwork showing the multi point inspection stated my brakes were perfectly fine. They were busy with multiple other customers, and they werent even sure where my car was, so I didnt want to inquire further.I feel like there is some organization efficiencies that could made in the department, and possibly some better communication tactics. I will be getting a second opinion on the brakes situation, just to be sure. It stinks we cant rely on the place we purchased the vehicle from.

Took vehicle in to have software on Uconnect radio updated. Was charged $79 for the update. When I looked to see if the software load was the new one, it wasn’t. Verified with Uconnect that it is still the old version. Not sure why I had to pay the $79 when it appears the software update did not take. Will try doing it myself next time. Other than that, all went well

We purchased a 2016 Buick Lacrosse three weeks ago. The sale was great, except, we were told the car had not been in an accident. When I got home I noticed damage to the RH Rocker Panel. I missed it when we initially looked at the car.The first week we had the car, the battery failed and I was out of town and couldnt get back to the dealership for the 30 day warranty. The service department called me that week and said they needed the car back for some warranty work. When we dropped the car off to them 2 weeks ago, I gave them a list of items that I wanted addressed. Including the keys and the Rocker panel. 2 weeks later only the warranty items got addressed and nothing on my list. I guess I am spoiled to the level of service we receive at our normal dealership. Hatchett Buick GMC. I am mostly happy about the sale, but very disappointed with the service.

The gentleman that helped me was very personable and respectful! Was shuttled home while car was being fixed. The first driver was amazing, she was a safe driver! The guy who picked me up to get my vehicle, was not as responsible. Overall service was great and I’d recommend Conklin!

I drove up unexpectedly after my air conditioning went out. I had young kitten with me who had started panting in my hot car. I was greeted promptly and courteously and ushered right into the cool waiting room with the kitten. My parts were in sooner than expected, so service was complete sooner. My total cost came in at the estimate.

Service took a long time for just an oil change.I also asked if they would see about turning down the volume on the seatbelt chime, but they didnt and never mentioned it afterwards. Experience started off great initially. Would not recommend buying a used car that has anything they say they will get fixed. Three weeks and my wife has driven a courtesy car more than the one she bought. They take it to Newton if it is not a vehicle they service in Salina. Car has been to the Chrysler Dodge side many times. Communication is lacking at best and you have to get extremely upset to get anything out of them. Then they drive your vehicle back and forth it is always empty when you get it back. Before we came here both my wife and I had reservations about doing business with Conklin due to past experiences. They have maintained the same poor service until you tell them your lawyer would like their lawyers name and number. Will never buy another car from there ever. However, in Salina Roger in the service department has been very helpful. Wish we would have never bought a vehicle from them. With time we have spent just taking vehicles back and forth communicating to them we have wasted many hours of time we will never get back and I am sure they cringe everytime they see my number or see me coming in. If they say it went through their certified inspection it is no better than a piece of toilet paper. When we received the car radio didn’t work TPMS sensors didn’t work after it went through the shop. They feel like your time is not valuable.

After traveling with several young grandchildren, my car seats were in desparate need of cleaning. I remembered my brother used to have his car detailed at Conklin before moving away from the Newton area several years ago. From the phone call to schedule the appointment to the handshake of the gentleman who cleaned my car, the service received was nothing short of phenomenal!!! The cost and what was included in that cost was clearly explained when I left my car with them.. When I picked my car up, I was half-way expecting an upcharge to the quote Iwas given. I was so wrong!So, long story short....Conklin Cars is truly a breath of fresh air with their great customer service and the quality of services provided. We travel to Newton a couple of times per year and will gladly schedule with Conklin again if we ever need our car detailed again.Thanks Conklin Crew!!!

Problem: Driver’s power seat would move forward but. It back. Seat back would move down but not up.Diagnosis: Switch okay the problem was the motors.We okayed the repair after mentioning that it’s more than just a switch and the switch is okay?After replacing expensive motors. The problem persisted. Found that the switch was bad. Replaced switch and problem solved.I fell as if we paid for expensive motors unnecessarily.Disappointed. If people ask for repair shop - we more than likely will not recommend Conklin. So sorry.Terry Ullum

Friendly dealership and service was good. An important detail that needs to be addressed is, when I called to schedule service for our truck, I specified several different things needing to be done or checked. One thing we needed done was to fix a chip in our windshield. I asked her if that could all be done during that same visit and she said yes. When I got there on Wednesday, I was told by the service personnel that they only do windshield chip repairs on Monday mornings. I asked why I was told they could fix it that day. The response was that she probably didn’t know. Very frustrating! If she is doing the scheduling, she should know their schedule. They did work it out and got someone in there to fix it that day but I had to wait a few hours which really delayed my planned trip. I live about an hour away so I had to stay there and wait.

This visit was for oil change with associated checks plus tire rotation and balance. I signed for work to be done including a quote of $135. When presented with the invoice it came to $159 which included shop supplies and tax. Naively I had assumed $135 was going to be the total. Why not just be upfront with the customer on the original quote? This kind of nickel and dimeing gives big dealerships lousy reputations.The vehicle has 135000 miles so one would expect some oil moisture here and there. I was told that “saturation is staring to appear on various hoses and at various locations and they could give me a quote to repair all that. Come on! I have yet to see one spot of oil on my garage floor. My alternative independent shop would never have bothered me with such negligeable information. it felt like a gold mining operation. This is why I usually avoid dealerships and franchises. Pity the poor soul not knowledgeable about vehicles. This is how folks get taken to the cleaners. My impression is that it’s the dealer imposed system, not the individuals who work there. Shame on Conklin management.I appreciate the good service otherwise as well as the car wash.

Dropped off my car at 8.00 am for my 8.20 apt. Oil change and inside detail, got called at 4.30 saying it wasn’t going to be done. That’s my only car so I had to get a ride home and back to work the next day.I called the next day multiple times and got no answer. I stopped in at 11.45 am and asked for my car, didn’t care if it was done.The tech said it was finished at 8.00 am and they called me, but I had no missed calls and no voicemail.Going somewhere else next time where the techs care about their job and their customersthe service manager (Mr. Pickens) followed up with me and was more than fair about making the customer happy. He told me he would personally talk with the techs that had poor communication. Makes me want to come back for service when its needed.

Was lied to about the interest rate they could get me. I told them I was already approved at my bank for 3.9 and they said they could beat it and would discount the car even more if I financed with them. I agreed and after 7 hours of waiting they came back and said that my interest rate would be 5% and that I should take the deal. I said that it didn’t make sense to sign up for a higher interest rate and then they raised the price of the vehicle so I left and went on up the road. Crooks. I ended up with 1.9 on a new Jeep. Also the GM was extremely rude when he found out we were not going to finance.

Late last month I found myself having the need to rent a car for a couple of weeks as I waited for a duplicate title for my car. Being new to the state of Kansas and living in a small town just north of Wichita, I anticipated my options for renting a car might be fewer than the options in Wichita. I called multiple places around the Newton and North Newton area in search of a rental car. Everyone I talked to was nice and happy to help me; however, many did not have a car available when I needed it. I left my number with each to call me if a rental car were to become available. Luckily for me, before the end of the day, I received a call from Conklin Cars.Right from the start of the conversation, I was introduced to friendly and professional service. The representative on the phone named Ashley, let me know a rental car came in that might match my needs and budget. Ashley, listed to my needs our initial conversation, looked around, and before I know it, I was driving off in a rental car. Ashley was very nice, friendly, and most of all professional. The car was clean and comfortable; but most impressive of all, the signing of paper work and paying bill went fast and with ease. I rented the car for two weeks; my experience working with Conklin Cars was superb! I highly recommend Conklin to anyone seeking the use of a rental car (short or longer term). I had never dealt with a car lot before, and I was pretty apprehensive about choosing one to deal with, and I saw quiet a few positive reviews for Conklin, so I decided to go ahead and call them and set something up. I spoke with a saleswoman named Jody. She was awesome from the jump. I wasnt there longer than an hour, and she helped me find exactly what I wanted. The whole process was very low-pressure and laid back. Not pushy at all. The finance guy was also super easy going and helpful; dont recall his name at the moment though.

I have been driving for 45 years now, and I can honestly say that this has been the most enjoyable process of buying a car that I have experienced. Joel is knowledgeable, professional, and thorough. While we were at the dealership, every single employee that walked past us, or that we encountered, was friendly, spoke to us, or asked if we needed anything. You get the feeling that everyone there works as a team to support the customer regardless of which salesperson is making the sale. Our car-buying experience initially was positive (while test-driving and purchasing the car), then turned negative due to several issues (only got one key with the car; car had no floor mats; title was filled with errors). However, Randy White, the general manager, stepped in and really turned the experience around for us. He was extremely communicative and helpful, and personally saw to it that a second key got to us right away. My father-in-law recommended Conklin to us because hed had such a positive experience there...after seeing how hard Randy White worked to make it a positive experience for us too, I can definitely recommend Conklin to others.

As far as purchasing, things go very well. Service on the other hand could be greatly improved. I took my ‘16 Silverado in Saturday for an 08:20 appt. discussed time and was told 1-1/2 hours. I told them I would be back at 11:00 am. Found out when I returned at 10:45 that my service wasn’t started yet but the recall work was done. I realized that if I don’t wait, my vehicle gets put back and waits until I arrive. I left the lot after 12:00 pm
