The folks at Yelena helped me with a tricky alteration on my wedding gown. They were prompt, kind, and the craftsmanship is excellent. The price was a little steeper than I had hoped but that is typical for a wedding gown, and they were the only folks I spoke to in the area who were upfront about costs and willing to discuss my budget before cutting the dress. My dress is now both beautiful and comfortable, and I will happily go to them for any alterations or repairs in the future!

I cannot recommend Yelena Couture enough. Rose is a master at alterations, from simple to complex. And she is sweet and trustworthy and a pleasure to deal with. She also gives great advice as to whether to alter something and how to do it best. I have lost a lot of weight and some of my clothes were good quality and I wanted to keep them but get them dramatically taken in and she was excellent - its like having a whole new wardrobe. Also her location is wonderful, not your typical alteration place, very private and spacious, with large dressing room. And they are extra careful and cautious during covid.

This was my first experience with a tailor, and they did a phenomenal job on my prom dress. Not only was the hem alterations done beautifully, but I needed to get this dress done in one week and they met the date! I came in with a a pretty big ask and short timeline to alter a bigger than I needed wedding dress to fit my pregnancy bump in a 5 week turnaround. Everyone was incredibly friendly and quick to help me out. I also had ordered two sizes up based on the advice from BHLDN stylist which ended up being a lot to take in so they even had to alter the bodice area in the end. Really appreciate the quality of work and the willingness to hear me on additional alterations needed after the first fitting. Also no surprises in cost which is very helpful when youre working on a budget. Theyre location isnt the closest to me but will definitely come back with my future tailoring projects!

My experience at Yelena Couture Tailor was wonderful! I came to them spontaneously with an urgent request to hem a maid of honor dress with sequins on it and they went above and beyond to get this done for me. I’m a pianist and I am very particular about my dresses. They need to be done exactly the way I like them or else my performance could be seriously hindered. I told Yelena to make sure the torso was as fitted as possible so that I could feel comfortable. She not only met but exceeded my expectations. I knew as soon as we did the fitting that she was a great seamstress. She pins all over the dress with a knowing hand and understands the way cloth is meant to drape very well. She does all her work in a small little shop but the seams are absolutely symmetrical and extremely professional. All the good reviews on here speak the truth. I will definitely be coming back to get all my dresses altered. You should too!!
