This is a store that is a little out of my way, but I love to stop here when Im in the area. This combo grocery/home improvement store has many items that are not found in your regular chain supermarkets. There are a lot of small business foods that are worth the trip.

Great place to shop the meat department a one and if you need it there is a hardware store there get anything you need

To be exact, it is not only a hardware store but it is also a grocery store. The selection of hardware is good, though it could not be compared to big chain stores. But for everyday use, this place offers quite good selection, and the price is competitive.The groceries section is also good. It does it have the selection that big brands does, but the price is really competitive and the quality is good. They also have dairies section though I don’t buy anything from there.The staffs are really friendly and helpful. All smiles and all helpful. Parking space is quite good, and cleanliness is well maintained.

Great customer service...friendly, kind and courteous. This is a store that still has that downhome come on in feel to it. A large assortment of unique treasures...household necessities...groceries...anything hardware that you need....it is all there. A store such as this takes a lot of work and organization...it shows that someone is committed to delivering a such a great product.

The smell of smoked meat is amazing when you walk in !!! We always find some cool stuff. They have a great selection of caffeine free diet soda. We always stop in when we are in the area

No masks on any of the staff, including management and even food prep people. No wonder community spread is sky-high in this county. Youd think in 14 months they could figure out the most basic safety procedures. Really makes me wonder what other precautions theyre ignoring in food prep.

This place has it all!! The hardware side has quality tools and almost everything you would need for your home projects. They have A nice meat selection and the grocery store is well stocked. Always super clean and the employees are there to help guide you. Plenty of gas pumps. Well lit area. Usually crowded. Convenience store has pizza and sandwiches hot and ready. It’s a one stop shop. They have lots of stuff!! They have stuff for your yard, mulch, birdhouses, etc. I recommend stopping here for sure.

Awesome hometown store. You can get it all in one stop...gas, pool supplies, pet supplies, groceries including already prepared smoked meats, good quality cuts of beef from the butcher or just basic staples. Convenient location and kind people. It is worth the 45 minute drive for me!

One of the last ole time hardware stores. The kind of place you can spend hours at just looking at all the neat stuff. I walk around just getting ideas for not only my latest project but I come up with my future projects, some I come up with just by seeing what they have. Looking for a pocket knife? This is the place, they must have hundreds to choose from. If you are like me and love the new LED technology. This place has the largest selection of LED flashlights I have ever seen in one place. If they dont have what you want/need they can usually have it shipped there in a few days. Big bonus too, they have a large IGA grocery store attached. Dont want to sound sexist, but if you or your wife want to grocery shop while you play around in the hardware store. Maybe its the other way around and she wants to shop for ideas for the home while he picks up the stuff for dinner. Great butcher counter. Get your favorite meat cut the way you like. Great selection for lawn/yard decorations too.

Great store has everything you could want from hardware to grocery. Their prices are a bit high but thats to be expected for the convenience.

This place has everything. Food, hardware, gas, convenience store amenities and more selections of case knives that I have ever seen except at the Bradford PA home location. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. This place will be my stop from now on between PA and SC. Highly recommended!

This is store is the epitome small town community atmosphere and convenience. I know if I get in a pinch and need something to finish working on something around the house I can head here and find it. Great hardware selection for the footprint it takes up in the store, and I can grab groceries while I’m here if I need to as well. I will say the hardware prices are a bit higher than the big box stores, but you can’t beat it for the convenience factor. Employees are always very friendly and willing to offer help. One of my favorite places to shop!

They have it all. Garden supplies, groceries, meats, gas and much more. The employees are friendly and helpful. I live in Hickory and enjoy driving there to shop. The locals are very fortunate to have them there.

1st time shopping there and loved it. They have a little bit of everything. New oversized mailbox, tiki torches with citronella oil, straps for hubbys truck when hauling stuff and wanted to get more. Will definitely be back soon. Employees also very friendly and helpful 🙂

There is a little bit of everything in that store, love walking around.

Few years back this was the only place around 30 mile radius that could help us in a time of need. Having the salt for de-icing and they had plenty. I was super excited that I could be able to make sure my clients were able to get their properties taken care of. Huge thanks to this place.

They have it all!! Groceries, gas, snacks, the best meat counter, (smoked wings are amazing) tools, hardware, plumbing, paint and plants!! Sure wish we could have one in Claremont NC!! Our community needs a CATFISH IGA

This is a good store and I am sorry I cant shop here anymore. It is not a safe place--no face masks worn here despite state mandate. I prefer to shop where people ACCEPT REALITY.

Love the meat here. I guess with the current pandemic they decided to GOUGE on just the ground beef. $25 for 4.5 lbs. When just a month ago it would be between $12-$16. Probably not going back because of that

Very disappointed!I pulled up and I noticed an employee walking w/o a mask. As I got myself together to go in the store (I thought to myself the employee w/o a mask was a one off) I notice several shoppers not wearing masks. I waited a couple of minutes watching people maskless go in and out of the store. Only one person walked out of the store with a mask on. At the point I decided not to go inside of the store. Especially, when the entire country is a big ol hot spot ☹ ☹ ☹ ☹ sad.

IGA is like a neighborhood convenient store/grocery/ hardware store.Being a convenient stores far as groceries, you are gonna pay a bit more. Hardware is high priced. But, as I said, its a neighborhood store!!

I highly recommend this place. I know the owners. Very good family. And if I were a gambling woman, Id bet you will find what you went after. Employees are very polite and helpful

Love shopping here as they have a little of everything plus fresh cut meats, an awesome deli and the produce is fresh...and the folks working there are very pleasant!

Everyone Ive ever dealt with that works at this gas station / convenience store / grocery store / hardware store that has everything you can imagine has been fantastic. Very knowledgeable hardware people. You will not find very many of those in Lowes or Home Depot.

A terrific store, and they have just about anything you need! Friendly and clean!

I love this local supermarket! They have smoked Pulled Pork, baked beans, slaw, lots of homemade desserts, sandwiches, salads, and pasta salads. They have a hardware side that has anything youd need for the home. They sell Yeti brand cups and coolers.

I have shopped Wal-Mart, and Lowes, for hardware, store type supplies, and by checking prices, and Name Brands, IGA hardware, by far, has better pricing, and more of the parts, I need. Look people, If you like these local family owned stores, then SUPPOPRT them, Or we may loose them.

What happened to customer service? Lately, it has become a thing of the past. Your help are not polite or accommodating. If you aren’t able to have meat cut, why have five people in meat department. I guess they are too busy socializing to wait on customers. I will find a new grocer to purchase my meat etc from.

Great people, great service, and great products! The family that runs this store loves serving their community and if you visit the store you will know exactly what Im talking about. They love their customers but most importantly they love the Lord and it shows in their lives!

I really like the place. Prices can be comparable to other grocery stores but can be expensive on other items. They have meat cutters and that makes it stand above other grocery stores where you can pick out what you want. Sales on the steaks are great, and the refrigerated truck trailer to every now and again is a good place to find deals. The attached hardware and convenience/ gas station are great. 4 stars for the parking lot. Sometimes its straight chaos. Need to redefine the lot with parking spaces on the grocery side

I love the place and everything that it had to offer. It is a really fun grocery/convince/hardware store to go to. The only problem is that the majority of the employees that I have encountered were not nice people. One of the employees in the convenience store would not give me my phone pack when I left it there for less than 5 min. She said that she didnt have it but I could not prove otherwise.

Horrible place to shop, but great BBQ. SLOW!!! It’s never a quick in and out here primarily due to them allowing customers to park anywhere in or out of the lines. Park at the pumps and spend 10-15 minutes inside. Last grocery trip a Senior was paying by check which was an eternity, then the cashier went to the office 3 times before he could take it. The only staff who seem to have an interest in service are the guys at the hardware entrance.

Convenient to my house. Good prices on meat. They have Mr Ps Pizza that my son likes.

Love their truckload sale. Fast and Friendly service. The guys that was helping out at the truck were awesome. They were funny and very friendly.

Things seem really overpriced, overall. The line we went through appeared to be training a new guy. New guy was way more interested in talking to his friend, that was behind us, rather than actually doing his job. Guy training him had to call to his attention that the register was waiting for his input.

I absolutely love this place. Most of the reason for this is before this place was here everybody and the Claremont, Catawba area would have to go all the way into town otherwise.

Love this store has the best meat department around I actually drive about 40 minutes one way just to go to pick up my meat plus it has a lot of unique items that you cant get in the Big Chain grocery stores and the service is great thanks for all the hard work guys 😀💜

I have only visited here for lunch due to work. I must say after three visits this location is tremendously busy. The service Ive received has been friendly and professional. I would recommend this store to anyone.

I do not get a chance to stop by IGA often, but when I do; it is always worth it. It is kinda like a little Wal Mart, with a home time, friendly feel. Great customer service, very clean. I wish I lived closer!!! They have products I can not get any where else, such as; Hormel pepperoni and chesse slice. Sometimes, I do drive there, just to get that!

Awesome people there feels like family and really stocked hardware store they had everything I needed and then some. We have recently bought a home and property out that way 4.5 miles from there off of Water Plant Road I will be taken full advantage of their store . Starting with a bath room pedestal sink faucet that I priced at a very reasonable price . My 2 young sons ( 6-7 years of age ), Love shopping there and all the workers there where so polite and homey feeling Our sons love it .They call it the BIG BOY STORE .LOL thank you for being just friendly in nature.
