Its bad enough to move but Barringers made it so easy. The guys were on time and very nice. They worked as the ultimate team and in no time our storage units were empty. When we got to our brand new home the movers were very careful with the floors and the walls when moving heavy furniture. They even put together our beds and anything else that needed assembly. Super impressed and because we are in a new neighborhood we have recommended Barringers to everyone moving in to the subdivision.

I would like to start off by saying that I have never been treated so kindly by so many people at one company in my life. This company never broke a promise or mislead us at anytime. Our belongings stayed in their climate controlled and 24 hour security warehouse for 11 months. Our items came to our new home in Florida in the same shape as they took it. In all 3 of our moves never has a company took such care of our belongings or us for that matter. I must say that using Barringer Moving was the very best choice we made. I appreciated everyone from the office staff to the movers.

Barringer Moving was the best moving company we have ever experienced. Tyler, Octavius, and James were exceptional. They were very professional, friendly, and wrapped all the furniture extremely well. Nothing was broken or scratched. They worked quickly packing and unpacking. We would definitely use Barringer Moving again and highly recommend them.

We used Barringer a month ago to move us. I wouldnt give them 5 stars for several reasons Ill address but they were professional and nice and moved us without any damage. I am over a month out and still looking for items that were either packed incorrectly, labeled wrong or put in the wrong rooms.We originally wanted Barringer to pack everything and move us but decided to pack the majority or our items prior to our move. When the movers arrived, they took the boxes we already packed and labeled and put them inside their very expensive wardrobe boxes and then charged us to pack those boxes and for the box itself. To me that feels like they want to only use their boxes and to increase the cost of moving as much as possible. I am very disappointed with how they packed. It would be very different if we hadnt already packed the majority of our items. They also did not put boxes that were clearly labeled in the correct place. We moved from a 1600 square foot house to a 3k square foot house and they couldnt fit everything in the new house. I had to come in and move stuff around. They basically threw boxes wherever they landed.Moving is expensive and this move was very expensive (over 10k). We were charged well over a thousand dollars just for boxes. We were then charged $135 a day per truck for storage which amounted to thousands as well. To me thats a complete rip off. Had we only been charged for what needed to be boxed that wasnt already boxed and just the move it would be a bit more justifiable but we paid 4k for storage and boxes. Looking back, we would definitely do things differently and hire a bunch of teenagers, rent a couple uhauls and move ourselves. The movers did scuff some walls but otherwise they were polite. We probably wouldnt use them again due to outrageous pricing.Overall, I would rate them 2 out of 5 stars. They are very expensive so be prepared to pay thousands.

I used Barringer Moving to move my parents and they stored my parents belongings. They were absolutely fantastic! We had to make multiple moves within a week and Barringer movers arrived on time every time! The movers were so helpful and pleasant and professional. Yes, they are by far the best movers we have ever had from any of our previous moving experiences. It is hard to describe the specifics of what makes them such great movers, but simply put, they are highly professional and meticulous while paying attention to every detail of maintaining the quality of all original items being moved. I had the pleasure of engaging this fantastic company 6 years ago for a move from Lenoir to China Grove N.C.. I have moved many times, and this group is by far THE BEST!! They packed and moved me and I was not in attendance. Left the key under the door mat. Everything arrived on time and in perfect condition. The left my home tidy. They wrapped a lightbulb like it was a piece of fine China. Cannot say enough about how great they were during a stressful move. Thank you !!!!!

To start with I left the country over 1 year ago, at this time I hired Barringer Moving and Storage to move our entire home into their storage facility. We have recently came back to the states (God Bless America, there is no place like home). Prior to our return, we contacted Chris and gave him an update on our return and our new home address in Blowing Rock. Chris was awesome, he helped organize everything for us! We stopped by the storage facility to look at some of our belongings, I was so impressed with the building it was very clean, organized, very comfortable and had secure cameras everywhere! I felt very safe with our belongings stored there. After getting things there ready for our move, moving day came! We had the best group of men! They were happy, pleasant and eager to please us. I must say I was worried that maybe something were going to be broken or damaged. Wow, we had one drinking glass and a plastic office stapler that was broken! THAT WAS IT.. This just shows me the care and commitment that this team has in taking care of other peoples belongings. I just can not say enough about this company as a whole, we highly recommended them to everyone!!

We used Barringer to move us out of state. We had seen their trucks and liked their motto and our neighbor worked for them for several years. We were very pleased with the entire process from meeting Chris for our quote on the move, to the scheduling, the fair value quote, to the packing, loading and delivery. We moved to a high rise home with multiple floors and windy narrow stairs and they did a great job. The entire four man crew was fantastic and very careful with our furniture. We plan on using them again and recommend them highly.

Barringers was recommended to us by our apartment complex and I am so glad I took their advice and called this company. They arrived on time and did not start the clock until they actually began working, and they took great care of all of our belongings. Barringers recently packed us up to put our things in storage while we continue to look for a new home. The team of guys that came were friendly, energetic, and kind. I loved their upbeat attitudes and can-do spirit. We noticed how well they worked together; they clearly had great camaraderie. Each was also clearly well-trained. I know when we finally land in our new abode, they will be just as kind and caring when they unload our things. I especially appreciated they way they dealt with my 90 year old mother--nothing but kindness and respect. These guys are pros!

Charles is a great guy and does his job to a T! We hired this company last year to move us the 3 guys they sent out was amazing and worked GREAT TOGETHER Charles was one of them we had a w story home it was a little over 600 bucks hired them today to move my storage unit one truck load to my garage with a little odd and ends of heavy things inside mind you our storage unit is literally in our garage as my husband and I sort so basically we are doing the work it was more expensive today than actually moving my whole house! 695 bucks for moving my unit to my garage never will I ever reccomend this place to anyone however when we hired them at first all the guys worked EXCELLANT together! My service today was a complete rip off!

Meeting with Chris Barringer was truly a pleasure. He had the knowledge and total understanding of our move. We explain how many of of items were very precious to us. The main thing we have is an old upright heirloom of the family which was my Dads. The piano arrived well-wrapped and was safely delivered with no damage. The work crew was great, hardworking and sensitive as to what the piano and all our items meant to us. They arrived when they said they would and worked patiently with us to get things into place. When I knew I was moving I contacted 3 movers. I was most impressed with Barringer. Not because of the price but because of the staff. I met the man that came out to give me a bid. I talked to the office staff and the scheduling staff. Each time I was pleased. The loaders arrived on time and they were professional and friendly to me and each other. They were fast but very careful. I have glass cabinets and furniture from my Grandmothers home. They treated each item with care. All arrived in perfect condition. Not a scratch. Barringer Moving helped us move a 5 bedroom, 2 living room, theater room and office. The office staff were compassionate and pleasant to work with throughout the moving process. The teams worked hard and fast, packing and boxing our home. The move was complicated with some things going to our new home, most things going to storage, and some things left for staging our home that will be sold. Barringer Moving was punctual and extremely accommodating for a customer that had a lot of cherished household goods that needed the white glove treatment. We will definitely use them again, the entire move from starting to finishing was better than could of ever been expected. We will definitely tell everyone what a great experience we had!

I have used them 3 times. One for a long distance move which they did an outstanding job of packing, loading, storing, and delivery and setup. Their people are organized, careful, and polite. I would never use anyone else because I can count on them. They are hard workers. We used them for two local moves, one of which was for equipment and the other to move household goods. They are impressive and consistent.

Dishonest, unresponsive. Barringer did a large move for me on two occasions. On the first move many items were lost and there was a delay in one truck of items reaching me for over a month. They did make some allowances for this on the second move. However, there were damaged items and I had paid almost $800 for insurance in each direction. There was insistence that I agree all was received in good condition but I refused to do so until inspection of the items and packed boxes. I did discover many damaged items, but when I contacted them I was basically ghosted. No calls returned, no responses to emails. I dont think they even passed my insurance payment on to the insurance company. I think they kept it, and now refuse to correct the damaged items. I should be dealing with an insurance claim, but instead I get unanswered call from Chris Barringer.My wife also had a valuable and sentimental collection of jewelry go missing when the only other people in the house were the movers. Although there is no explanation other than that one of their mover stole it, I cannot prove it. I do believe that most of their movers are honest men.Be careful what you sign if you use any mover, but dont sign anything until you have had ample opportunity to open your boxes and make sure things are operational. Barringer will not stand behind their work, and once you have paid them you will be on your own.

We were pleased with the excellent service Barringer’s movers did with our move. Our furniture was well wrapped and arrived unscratched. The large pieces were dissembled moved and reassembled with no damage to floors walls and doorways. The workers turned over furniture so I could vacuum out spider balls and not move dust to our new home. Great problem solvers and teamwork. We had a king size bed that they figured out how to get a large rug and pad under the bed. Not easy! I appreciated their professionalism, polite manners, and hard work. Thank you! We will use you for the next part of our move.

We had an incredible experience with Barringer. On a Monday afternoon, we called them and were connected with Chris Barringer, the owner of the company. We needed several pieces of furniture moved from Hickory, North Carolina to Chapel Hill. He was beyond helpful, and arranged for a truck to pick up and deliver all of our items the NEXT DAY. Unlike most moving companies, Barringer told us exactly when they would show up instead of providing a huge time window.The day of delivery, the movers updated me in the morning telling me an even more precise time of when they would show up. They showed up right on time, and were extremely professional. They showed up at 12:30, and had fully unloaded, unwrapped, and assembled all of my furniture in 20 minutes. They had to unload a coffee table, seven chairs, a dresser, and assemble a very heavy dining table. I was astounded at how quickly they finished everything, and how well they cared for all of the furniture. Not a single thing was damaged because they cared for it as if it was their own.Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend Barringer Moving and Storage to anyone. They were extremely punctual, accommodating, efficient, and careful.

Had a great experience with my crew of Tim, Shaun & Will. They completely took care of everything. They worked hard and handled my belongings with care. They had great personalities and were a joy to work with. To me they went above and beyond what was expected!

Competitive in price does not apply in my case. I was told this is how much it is and thats that...also, i was told they gave me a break in price - instead of $175 per hour, it would be $160 per hour with 4 personnel. the whole job would be about $600 - $700.it was a small job with very little furniture, no packing involved. i went with someone else.

A quote is a rough estimate but when you have a company sending more people then they quoted you for and then charging you for things you didn’t ask for, you end up paying through the nose. I’ve never been in a situation where what has been said by a company is so thoroughly different from one person to another.And while it is minor in comparison having a 100 year old bottle of alcohol that’s worth atleast $650 in a good day attempted to be be charged in you for their time to clean it up.I just have no way to recommend this companies service for even the most minor of packing or moving jobs.

Great experience

Our items were in the climate controlled storage for over a year and were all returned to us in perfect condition. Everything was held for us while our home was completed and everyone was so kind and accommodating throughout the whole time our things were with them. Due to bad weather being in the forecast for the day of our move, we contacted Barringer Moving & Storage to see if it would be possible to unload the trucks the day before. They agreed to unload on a Sunday evening at 6 pm! The gentlemen on our crew were EXTREMELY professional from the moment they arrived until all of our belongings were unloaded off their trucks.They worked tirelessly late into the evening and handled all of our things with great care. If you are in need of a moving company that is professional, flexible, and accomodating this is the one for you! They did everything we needed them to and we give them our highest recommendation.

I used Barringer Moving and Storage to move last month from Conover to Mooresville. The movers were great, very organized, and only damaged a few minor things. But there were several aspects of miscommunication throughout the process of my move. But the owners made it right, and eventually gave me a partial refund.

My family used Barringer and they damaged furniture and certain pieces went missing. It took 4 months of phone calls for them to finally make a feeble attempt at resolving our issues. Use them at your own risk.

I chose Barringer Moving and Storage to move my 5,000+ 3 story house from Boone to Palm Beach and I am so glad I did. From the beginning Justin followed up with me on every question I had (and I had many) almost instantly. If he didn’t have the answer he checked with his Chris Barringer and got back to me quickly. The move was going to be challenging because our home in Boone wasn’t as accessible as most. Justin said this wouldnt be a problem, and it wasnt they came straight up doing NO DAMAGE TO MY DRIVEWAY. I had 7 of the most wonderful men as movers: Rob, Punchie, Cameron, JP, BJ, Octavius and Frankie. Out of all the movers we have had in the past I can not say enough about how amazing these guys were. They took time to be sure all the “special things” were packed correctly and communicated with me constantly. Not one time did I hear a complaint or negative comment about anything I asked them to do. Barringers accommodated my need to pack in a few days then hold everything until the next weekend due to closing dates of houses. They scheduled most of same team to unpack me which was wonderful. Punchie, Charles, Frankie, BJ, Octativus and Chris once again did an amazing job unpacking everything. They didn’t rush to just get done and go home. They actually cared and were concerned about my things. I even have very fine European Crystal that I have broken before just from hand washing them and NOT ONE OF THEM were broken during the move. I was amazed!!!!The only mistake I made during the move was purchasing the additional full evaluation, with these guys I didn’t need it!!!!!Amazing job Barringer Moving!!! You guys have got it going on! I will recommend and use only you in the future!

We contacted Barringers for a move within the Newton Hickory area and a young man came to give us an estimate. From this visit to the movers was an awesome experience. The three men arrived early and did they ever get the job done. They were very careful with the furniture and wrapped most of it for protection. The movers were very professional and also had a great sense of humor which always helps in a trying situation as moving. Words cant express my appreciation for Chris and his fine group of employees. Today was an extremely hectic day and moving is never easy, so they say! Well that saying is only for people who have never used BARRINGER MOVING.. These guys were extremely professional and took care of our items as if they were their own! Being a military family we have moved times and had my share of horror stories. Chris definitely puts his customers needs first and sincerely cares about the work he and his men do!! If we could give over 5 stars believe me I would! I cant thank you all enough for being a solid rock when we needed you the most!

If there was a 100 I would give it to this company. We have could not be happier with choosing Barringer Moving and Storage. Chris, the owner was courteous and very professional. We did our research and found that this company far succeeded other companies close to us, hearing of Chriss 25 years of impeccable service from many of our friends and collegues made this a easy choice to make. Our move wasnt like most, being we have a small disable child. I can not tell you how absolutley delightful the entire crew was. Our furniture was handled with experience and care! They arrived on time and didnt waste anytime. The kindest that Octavius, Punchie, Frankie and TJ showed my daughter was so very touching. They showed her attention and made her feel like she was an important part of the movie when it came to her things. I feel strongly that God placed us with Barringer, for they showed my family nothing but the upmost respect and care not only for our things, but for us personally. We would recommened to anyone, that the FIRST and the ONLY CHOICE to use for moving would be BARRINGER MOVING AND STORAGE.Thank you
