BEWARE of this company, dishonest seller on newegg.com will send you a broken defective laptop then after returning it, they will claim it is in working order, when its not and charging a restocking fee of 45 dollars.Newegg.com review: Received a laptop from this seller with a white/non operating screen. Opened it up to re-seat the ram and noticed the hard drive is just flopping around in the the drive bay held on with duct tape. This is very unacceptable. Hard drive caddy is missing and crucial for proper functionality. I wish I could rate this company in the negative. Seller is not answering his calls and has a poor google rating.
I bought these dvd players for my wifes chevy tahoe. they went to replace a defective overhead unit that had already been installed before we purchased the vehicle. We installed it in relatively short time and everything works great. We were also pleasantly surprised that the frequency signal to the headsets we already had worked on the new headrests. The unit also plays on the car stereo and can you plug in games, camera, etc.
I was very excited for the car stereo to come as my family had our first road trip planned. I bought the DVD systems to occupy the children during our 17 our drive. My husband went to install the headrests and *snap* the head rest snapped. We went to a professional installer who said the material used was cheaply made and worked around the defective piece. I tried to contact Elite Auto sounds numerous times to try to replace the one headrest but I never received a response. I am very disappointed and cannot believe their lack of customer service skills. I will stick to amazon merchants from now on.
I was excited to order a new pair of DVD players for my car from this company before my family vacation. I have had bad luck with various versions of these, and upon doing a little research found the biggest difference in quality is because of the disc-load style of a particular device. Slot (or vacuum) loading machines hold discs more securely and limit skipping. I looked around for a while before ordering, came across this company, clicked Car Dual Headrest DVD Player Monitors from the category list on their website, and chose the first option with good reviews. A week later my shipment arrived and I was surprised to find a single monitor! Did I order the wrong product? Did they send the wrong product? I checked the website to see if I could figure out what happened and noticed there is, indeed, only one screen featured in the photos of this product. This is something I didnt even think to take note of initially being that it was listed under DUAL. I emailed at that time to let them know I was disappointed in the discrepancy, and that one screen is not suitable for my car or family. I also suggested that they consider changing the way it is presented on the website. At that time I would have even considered purchasing something different from them if they could just ensure that it would ship in time. NO RESPONSE. With a short amount of time before my trip I gave up and purchased a product similar to what I have had in the past from Best Buy (worked great, btw). When we returned home, I emailed to let them know that I would be returning the single screen which I have no use for, but that I do not plan on paying the 20% restocking fee because of what I think is a misrepresentation (or at least miscategorization) of the product on the website. The response I received by email was,We are sorry that you are disappointed in the fact you cant read a description, but we dont change our return policy for stupidity.Jaw on the floor! I immediately returned the email explaining my position and letting them know the customer service is obviously lacking. No response again. My husband called (they do not answer the customer service line) and left a voicemail. No response. He called again this morning and left a voicemail saying that he was interested in purchasing and had some questions- guess what- call returned almost immediately. He told the employee what was going on. They agreed that the email response was outrageous, but had no way of knowing who sent that. They still refuse to waive the restocking fee, citing that they would have to absorb that cost because their free shipping is actually just an inflated purchase price, and that if they lose that entire purchase price they will also lose the shipping portion. I still argue that they need to take responsibility and personally dont care if they have to eat $30, but at least this was a normal adult response. That is until...my husband persisted, they told him he wasnt listening and then hung up on him.So that is our experience with Elite Auto Sound. I have to say that I have never faced that type of customer service. Back to Amazon for me. Regarding the DVD player, I havent decided yet how I will proceed but I would almost rather give it to a friend than let them have the restocking fee, which I can only assume is more than the original shipping cost to them, and then allow them to resell the product at full price. I would absolutely not recommending soliciting this company, just in case you come across the occasion that you would need to utilize their customer service.
