There was a very nice and beautiful place πΈ There places to seat outside and insideπ Also there were washroom too. The entrance fee was $17 and we paid that happily. I have seen many places like this but it feel good differently π If you are in Niagara falls, you should go and visit this awesome conservatory πΈ
Had a Great time. One of the destination activities my husband and I visited here during our honeymoon, as newlyweds of course. The butterflies are absolutely beautiful.I was at a butterfly conservatory many years ago, as a young girl, and got to have a butterfly on my hand. Unfortunately...the butterflies werent as desiring to approach Me...BUT one did land on my husbands head, and another on another mans back.Proceed with caution as youre walking on the stones, as some butterflies like to land there also.
I absolutely loved this place!! Very pretty and lots of room for these little butterflies! Very beautiful! When I went it was alittle crowded and almost no social distancing but I was too focused on how beautiful everything was! We also went on this amazing carriage ride and that was worth the money and time! It was amazing! β€
This is one of the more relaxing attractions at Niagara and if you love butterflies, then it is a must-see. The kids loved it, they can get a free book with pictures of butterflies and moths, and get to see how many from the book they can find in the conservatory! As with most of the attractions, it can be quite a wait to get in due to Covid restrictions.
The garden is free to walk around. The Butterfly conservatory is 10-15minutes quick walk. It was our second time and it seems like less butterflies; no wow effect anymore. Definitely, not worth the money ($20 per person). Video room is closed due to covid; it was hard to stay long inside wearing the mask.
Beautiful place to visit. Butterflies are flying all around you, and it makes you feel like youβre in a fairytale. Sometimes they land on you and itβs totally amazing!Lots of people complained in the reviews that itβs humid - and yes, itβs humid there, but the climate is definitely made for butterflies to live there, so I was no complaining, but respected the environment. There were some kids who tried to catch the butterflies, and their parents even didnβt say them anything. So, if you have small kids who misbehave, you better avoid visiting this place, donβt stress the butterflies, respect the nature.
We paid for our tickets online but still had to wait in line for an hour because of the capacity limit. We spent an hour inside including looking around the gift shop. It was amazing to see all the butterflies, so many different kinds. Just a note, online parking is at least $25, if you are drivimg to different areas of Niagara and parking. At the Butterfly Conservatory its $3 an hour to park.
We visited in August 2012. Very cool place; it was like stepping into an enclosed tropical jungle right in Niagara Falls. (Be prepared for some humidity!) Many cool butterflies and natural growth to be seen. Worth a visit.
You will surrounded by gorgeous butterflies left right centre, above and beyond once stepped into the tropical rainforest territory.Definitely worth a visit.
We were very lucky when we went. The staff mentioned that the butterflies were extremely active on that day. It was magical, everywhere you look, there are butterflies or moths fluttering about. If youre lucky (and we were β‘) some will gently land on you.
Such a beautiful place to visit! What an incredible collection of butterflies and plants! There are so many some of them might even land on your head!Would 100% do this again!
A tropical paradise and magical. Its lovely seeing all the butterflies flying around. A lot of different species of plants and butterflies. The place has an indoor waterfall with fish and a solitary turtle.
A wonderful experience, theres so many burterflies, I had the chance to get a newborn one on my hand, my boyfriend was wearing a pink t-shirt and butterfly were always on him! I guess he looked like a flowerπ€·ββοΈπWell definitely go back!
Very beautiful! My mom absolutely loooved it. Butterflies come & sit on you & it is just a breathtaking experience. If youβre in Niagara Falls, make sure to pay a visit because it is definitely worth it. Make sure to wear bright colours as the butterflies will be attracted to you. There is no time limit so you will have ample time to enjoy your experience. They also have seats for when you get tired which is awesome cuz its a huge place! It was $17 per person so it was totally worth it!
Great experience! Not really located on the Niagara strip so plan accordingly. Maybe a little short but amazing little creatures and well worth the experience !
An uplifting place... Sit and take it all in before you go back to your crazy pace!
Tons beautiful butterflies of all different sizes and colours in a tropical atmosphere of incredible plants and flowers, even turtles and koi fish. Very peaceful and relaxing, perfect for taking lots of pictures making memories. I bought a nice Niagara Falls souvenir jacket from the gift shop on my way out.
One of my favorite places in Ontario. Beautiful butterflies, friendly staff & a gorgeous gift shop & park area. Love this place!!
Warm and humid inside. Butterflies everywhere. Calm, quiet, slow pace. Staff was very welcoming
Located in the botanical gardens grounds. This place is a beautiful testament to why nature is important to protect within another shining example of beauty worth preserving. If you are even slightly interested in butterflies and flowers/plants, you can easily spend several hours here. We were in and out in about 45 minutes but would have liked to spend more time there.
Really fun place for the any group of age. there is soo many different butterflies here & theyre open throughout the winter. No change in the weather.
Beautiful things to see and learn about. Bring a good camera to take pictures of the bottleflies
The wait was very long but it was a great experience. The butterflies fly around you and some even land on you. I would love to come back again sometime.
Perfect place for families with young kids, this is amazing for plant lovers and budding botanists as well. So many pretty butterflies.
Amazing place with tons of butterflies the moment you step in. Just please, as they ask, watch your step as there are often below in the path and they dont always like to move.
This place is amazing!! So many Butterflies!! ππ Definitely would come here again!!
We were questioning how cool it would be, but this attraction was included in the passes we bought and it ended up being really cool! It took probably 20 minutes to get through, but you could spend more or less time in there easily.
Love the place! Staff are amazing and had a lot of fun with the beautiful butterflies!!
Beautiful and well maintained oasis for lots of butterflies. Ive never seen so many of them in the same place! There is something similar and bigger in Xcaret but its for birds too. I definitely recommend this place.
Oh this place is amazing.. I love butterflies and there was tons.. Even had some land on me.. π
Love this place. Its a family-friendly, kids-loving, mist relaxing, picture-perfect place to enjoy. 100s of butterflies freely fly around the closed in area, where people can walk through one way to see thr bytterflies flutter around. Must visit and defenetly recomended to families with kids.
It was magical! We all loved it especially my son :)Giving them 4 stars only because as soon as you enter the actual place where you mingle with the amazing butterflies, nobodys monitoring visitors if theyre following covid protocols. The facility is so strict during the line up but as soon as youre ready to enter everyone is just doing their own thing, saw 2 kids not wearing their masks, little to no social distancing... it was just a little bit messy.Hopefully this improves. Other than that, we enjoyed our visit.
Humid as it should be for the butterflies. Around 18 dollars if I remember correctly but it seems a bit high for what you are doing. They take group photos before you enter for pur have. We skipped that whole process. Great for the kids though.
Went here before covid, and had a fantastic time! The butterfly conservatory itself was beautiful and well kept! Great tourist attraction!
The Butterfly Conservatory was an amazing place and was a very fair price went on a Sunday morning wasnt too busy but by noon the place was overwhelmed with people so if you want to go try to go first thing in the morning.
Very unique experience. Its kind of peaceful even with the people there. Great for the while family. Dress with bright colours and butterflies might land on you.
This place is just wonderful and magicalSo many butterfliesI did it twice in one dayHighly recommend
Got tons of different species of butterflies in this conservatory. All are well kept and you can enjoy them very closely. Roughly takes around half hour to an hour to enjoy all the butterflies.
Amazing, the butterflies were absolutely beautiful, every inch of the place was magical! The gift shop was exceptional, we bought our daughter a souvenir of a real life butterfly in a box
Very nice place to go, lots of beautiful butterflies all around!
We love this place and all three of us enjoyed so much feels very relaxing.
Nice selection of butterflies to view. Not as big as I expected but affordable tickets.
Amazing, amazing, must go! The energy of the place, the beauty and calmness is magical!
It was beautiful to see so many different species of butterflies. Facility is very well kept and grounds are clean. Its a fun educational tour for kids too.
One of my all time favorite places in visit in the Niagara region! π€© So relaxing and beautiful. Our 2 year old daughter loved it!
What an amazing experience 100% for kids or adults! However it would of been nice to see an employee explaining information about the bufferflys.
Butterflies are everywhere, even had to watch my step. You can tell they are used to people. Had a few of them land on me. Been here a few times and I always enjoy it.
Beautiful organized place. Be warned..itβs very warm. Staff are very friendly
Loved this place. Its not very big but there are 2000 butterflies floating around. Some will even land on you! Great for both kids and adults.
The butterflies are so beautiful ! I tried so hard to get one to land on my hand and eventually landed on my shoulder ! ...they flutter all over the place ..different colors and sizes ..this is a great experience for all..young and old ...the grounds of the gardens are also beautiful and well manicured ! It was a lovely experience
Great place, kids loved it, I enjoyed it, with I had a better camera for taking pictures, but still cool.
Love this place, so many different kinds of butterflies, still a little crowded for covid standards but still an amazing experience
The experience is rather short but the butterflies are really beautiful
If you are in the are, its a must go if you like nature, has walking/biking ttails and the conservatory
Absolutely beautiful place to see. Butterflies are in their habitat, and it was a little humid. Very nice to see.
The place is nice. Lots of pretty butterflies flying around. The place is spacious enough for the butterflies to roam, but the path that you walk around is actually short so, we usually roam the same path twice. Not much social distancing inside but itβs kind of expected with the place. Otherwise, we had beautiful pictures with the butterflies. There may be long wait times so come early.
Its a beautiful place to visit. Hard with little toddlers that want to climb everything. Kids under six are free but two adults its almost $40. A bit on the pricey side especially when its hard to spend more than one hour here.
Great covid protocols in place. Beautiful building and grounds.
I loved it. Butterflies land on you - what more could you want.
Absolutely beautiful, however, I felt like they were letting way too many people in at once. It may just be the way they have to do things, but the process didnt leave with you much room to slow down and enjoy the butterflies. Felt like I had to be constantly walking forward and dodging moms with strollers blocking the pathways.
Perfect way to spend couple of hours in the Niagara on the lake.
Great place, walk through is about 25 minutes lots of spots to stop and sit and view the butterflies. Wish the signage for entrance was better though
Calm and tranquil. I really like it here.
This place is one of a kind. I felt like I fell into a fairytale.
Beautiful butterflies and maintained in a great way. It brings a smile on every face as you can see hundreds of them flying all over the place.
Magical and well worth a visit if youre visiting Niagara Falls.
We enjoyed the butterfly conservatory, so many butterfly species along with their cocoons (pupa stage), there was a bit of a problem paying for our parking pass and Understandably it was very humid inside but worth it
Amazing experience for the whole family. Totally worth every single penny spent.
Good price. Get to see lots of butterflies, doesnt take long to go through. Butterflies will land on you, especially if you wear floral colours. The gardens are also lovely.
Went here last summer and it was such a magical experience! I was enchanted by all the beautiful butterflies flying around, none of them sat on my hands but my friend got lucky 3 times! Well worth the price and great place for families and friends. We also walked outside the conservatory it has some great views and park. This place also has washroom facilities.
Lots to see but very busy, line moved quickly.
Amazing, we enjoyed a lot. Highly recommended.
Really nice β¦ my 3 year old loved it β¦ so many diff butterflies β¦
This place is amazing, different and full of colors.Just be ready for the tropical weather.
Staff is always friendly place is very clean, its butterflys what more can I say...go have fun and take tons of pictures!!! Watch your step tho!
Havent been here since I was like.. 7? Went with my partner and toddler. It was very cool being around so many butterflies. It was surreal. Some landed on my hat. It was a short walk around the place. Lots of people there but everyone was respectful. Positive experience.
The butterfly are so beautiful and I saw different different butterfly over here
Brought my wife and mother-in-law to see the butterflies. It was just as I remembered as a kid. Fantastic! Get a guidebook from the front desk before you go through so you can track which butterflies you see.Its humid. Id advise shorts if possible. There is also a gift shop. Typical items.
I adored the place, its full different kind of butterflies
A magical experience! A butterfly landed on my bag and pretty much followed my around while me and the family walked through the exhibit. I loved it so much, I would love to go to Canada again soon!
No doubt one of the must visit places in the Niagara region of tours.Entering the Conservatory immediately drops you into tropical climate and habitat but also a splendor or colours and beauty with butterflies everywhere. They are quite friendly and so you may very well find yourself supporting and transporting them during your tour.During COVID times so protocols are in place but hardly a distraction from the wonders of habitat.Tour is short but nothing stops you from doing it again and again like I did since once is never enough.Certainly a pleasant and worthy experience that should be enjoyed by all.
Great place to stop and spend a few hours. The conservatory is big, bright and filled with many exotic butterflies. Make sure you appreciate the plants, there are many rare ones here and their size and health is impressive.Staff are knowledgeable about the butterflies and plants, ask them anything!Keep a keen eye out for this unassuming butterfly, picture attached. It will bless you with beautiful blue wings when they open, always a pleasant surprise. Some parts of this attraction are closed due to COVID (theater, coat rack) but its great to see this place open, accepting guests, and doing well. They take a photo of you before you enter but arent pushy in trying to sell it to you. They dont print it automatically like some attractions do which is nice as its less wasteful. Some guests do not respect the butterflies and try to touch or catch them. Wish staff would keep an eye out for this.
Weve been here couple times already and definitely will come again once everything opens. You can see the whole life cycle of butterflies, you can touch them, let them sit on you, even walk around with them on your hands. Its a really cool experience for kids.
Excellent place for the kids! Unfortunately you can cover the entire building in less than an hour. Parking should be included in the ticket. The hourly parking doesnβt make sense for this place.
Nice experience, however for the price ( no family rates so for a family of 4 almost 100$) a 20 minute visit in an extremely overcrowded area, 270 people allowed for covid in that small place and no vaccine requirements. many injured butterflies, I wouldnβt do it again. Not in the same area at all, but having been several times to the Montreal butterfly event in April, at least you can plan a few hours to visit and see the tropical gardens and other gardens and other things are included.Thankfully the gardens adjacent are free, nice gardens, but underwhelming. Parking 3$/hr.
If you go when its busy its more like a gauntlet of humans than a magical butterfly world. Nice idea for the cold months. Super humid inside year round. Lots of colorful bugs, good photo op. Interesting plants too if youre into that
A piece of Paradise.β€οΈβ€οΈ
Fun location to visit and step away from the bustle. Visited in the fall so its likely less busy than summer. But highly recommend, and the surrounding gardens are a nice walk as well.
