After buying a handgun at another shop earlier in the day, I went to Semper Fi for a holster.I got a great holster for my needs AND MORE!They helped with learning the functions of my gun.... in greater detail than the store where I got the gun. Very patient with me and even serviced the gun which ended up to be very dry out of the box. Had they not noticed that, I would have been at a loss.This is one fantastic place all around !! I will be going back for range practice and additional purchases. Thank you Semper Fi !!! Youre the best !!

I’ve purchased several firearms from Semper Fi, and I use their range regularly. The people are very nice and they take the time to answer all my questions. The only minor thing would be the wait time when they are busy and short staffed. All-in-all I will continue to do business with Semper Fi in the future and recommend that you do as well!

I wish I could give this place 0 stars unfortunately I have to give it one I will never go there again your customer service is horrible my wife and I were in there and they never even spoke to us and we stayed in there for 10 to 15 minutes they were not busy at all they just did not want to talk to us. I think we might have been the wrong color! I love the armed forces but I will not support that place!

I try to support the local smaller gun stores, but they were not honest with me regarding their transfer fees. I asked 2 different times over the phone the cost (one was even the day of picking up my firearm) and then when I showed up they told me a much higher price.....my firearm was shipped there and had no choice but to buy. I wont shop there anymore. They do have a nice range though.

We left our number and name for them to call us when they got a gun we wanted .. they dont seem to have anything in stock .. young guy never called us back in over 4 weeks !!Forget this museum & go to Evans armory where we got two guns the same day !!Only use Semper for their range as the older guy is nice & does the classes ...

So i cant speak on anyone elses experience with this place......... But my experience was pleasurable.... Not many guns to choose from like most stores but by far mu favorite range....... For sure worth the extra few bucks..... The instructor that does the classes happened to be in the range and was very helpful when i was having issues with my firearm...... Staff has aleayd been respectful until they treat me otherwise they for sure get 5 stars

My favorite gun store in Kentucky! They have a great selection and all the ammo you need! They really know the business and will answer any question. No need to be shy, the friendly folks at Semper Fi Firearms do not judge; they love helping first time gun buyers and have the patience to talk to you all day!

After reading one of the reviews here, I, too, feel compelled to reply and share my own experiences.Im a pretty simple guy with pretty simple expectations of the businesses I patronize. If you show me respect and courtesy and dont waste my time--even at a $$$ premium--Im likely to return. If you dont, I wont. That said, I only have good things to say about Semper Fi. Ive been to their adjoining gun range more times than I can count, and Ive purchased firearms from them. I have never felt intimidated, condescended to, or disrespected in any way whatsoever. And Ive never experienced the testosterone overload others have cited...at least, not at Semper Fi.I HAVE witnessed the brash, obnoxious types at other gun shops in the area, and I couldnt run out fast enough. Taking a number and waiting 20 minutes to be helped, only to be condescended to because I was interested in a budget-priced 9mm rather than a $600 piece?? No, thank you. And guess what? When I did decide to buy that $600 piece, I sure as hell didnt go back to buy it from them. I bought it at Semper Fi. :-)In fairness, Semper Fi maintains a smaller inventory than some local shops, and their used selection is quite small. But, thats ok with me.

Older guys are knowledgeable. Younger guys, not so much. I go here to ask their opinions, go to Buds to hold and handle, buy from Everything Concealed Carry in Louisville, then come back here to shoot.

I have been shooting competitively for over 35 years and collecting just as long. I have been in few shops in my life that rival the rudeness and condescending attitude of the trust-fund owner. He doesnt have to care and it shows. If you are going to run a retail, service oriented business then compete on price or service. I gave them three chances and never saw either. Most of the people there act as if you are interrupting their break time; which must be most all of the time. Not returning. Even Cabelas fine gun room has better customer service.

Great place to shoot! Very friendly, easy going and helpful on that side. We did buy a gun from the sales side, though overpriced vs Buds. Sales person marginally knowlegable, owner aloof and not at all helpful, just want to sell a gun. Not interested in helping my wife learn and understand the features of the gun when sales person wasnt sure how to break down the gun.😞 Disappointing. Back to Buds for our next planned purchase where the service and prices are much better. Owners of successful service businesses cultivate relationships. Hope they can stay in business...

Went there for the second time today. Plenty of Personality in the staff. At the range, Nathan was super helpful and friendly. In the store Nick took extra time to answer all our questions. Will definitely be going back. They really made me feel welcome even though I dont have any kind of background in guns or military at all.

Roy was very helpful and knowledgeable....strongly recommend this range. I am a black male 35 and have been treated differently at other rangers. Also has a 30 ft archery range! 🎯🎯🎯

Couldnt find any place to put my night sights on my S&W M&P Shield 45 . Most places couldnt or wouldnt do it and when i did find someone to do it they said 2 to 3 day. Called these guys and they said it would take 15 to 20 minutes when they got done i said what do i owe you? They said NOTHING i will definitely go back and buy my guns there and use the range and take my friends with me.

The range is fine, I just wish they had a larger selection of long-guns. Most is basic cheaper stuff. I was in buds for the first time recently and I dont know why I never went before. Evans is closer for me and they have a nice selection of everything but not nearly what buds has.

I’ve had good experiences here other than transfers and ammo selection. I recently purchased an item that needed an FFL to receive for shipment. Come to find out They were not on file with palmetto state armory even after I had called and spoken with an employee asking if they were. After I get an email from palmetto stating they did not have semper fi on file and that I needed to have semper fi email them a copy of their licensing to process my order, I called semper fi, spoke to the same guy, and he said “we should be on file, I’ve done things with them before just have them email us.” . After spending time on the phone with palmetto state armory, the customer service representative said she would call Semper Fi to get my order sorted out and get their information. She placed me on hold and when she came back she said that the person she spoke to was very rude and said he would send them their information “when he got around to it” and seemed more or less bothered that he was being asked to do anything.I would think as a company making an easy $50 for a transfer with minimal hassle would be a great thing, it’s just about getting employees that actually recognize that. This is the holiday season and I would think it may have dawned on the employee that the item may be a Christmas gift or have some importance to the individual who called and spoke with him several times about it.Good company, good owner, just sucks to see employees acting like you’re cutting their breaks short every time you speak to them.

Semper Fi is the only shop Ill buy a gun from. They dont profile customers thinking you wont buy like Buds does. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable. What I liked the best was I returned for some range time after several days to break in the new Glock I bought. The pistol was having some issues with the ammo. The man running the range stripped the weapon, serviced and oiled it, then extended my range time to complete the break-in process. I refuse to shop anywhere else because of how helpful they are.

$50 for a transfer?! Now that, my friends, is a prime example of a ripoff. I do not know what the rest of the facility or the other services are like, but I wont be finding out. If this was California, I might understand; however, it is not. The most Ive ever paid for a transfer in Kentucky has been $25. The business that performed that transfer, Lotus Gunworks, is now defunct. I dont expect these folks to be around long, either.

Took the firearms training course with Dan as a refresher. The one on one instruction in the range was exceptional. The learning experience was everything I expected and more.

Excellent customer service and reasonable prices on range fees and ammunition. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Love this place!

Unpleasant guys.

I hate dealing with this company and do so solely out of the convenience of their location like most everyone else I speak to. There are several things wrong with this company. First, they have the personality of cardboard. When you walk into this place be prepared to walk into testosterone central, receive the staredown from 5 dudes on one half of the building and 5 on the other, some work there while others come to stroke their ego to talk about the good ole Corps days. Aside from their painful lack of people skills and exorbitant pricing on ammo and weapons, THEY KEEP THE RANGE BRASS!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. To call them thieves would be an insult to thieves. I bought a shotgun there in April. Brought it back less then 24 hours later because it would not feed correctly. They sent the gun back to the manufacture to be fixed. Came back with the same problem. Sent it back two more times to no avail. 8 months later they called me and said the had a check for me. I spent $800 on this shotgun. I received a check for $650. I was told that because they had to send the gun back three times that I was not getting a full refund. After speaking with the gun manufacture I found out that Semper Fi was out no cost to ship the weapon. That the manufacture sends call tags for their weapons and takes care of shipping. So I was lied to and stolen from. HORRIBLE customer service. DO NOT GO TO THEM FOR ANYTHING.

I got an Armalite Defender here and they gave me a good deal considering Armalite was asking the same gun for $800 and I got it from them for $725. They are a lot more polite then Cabelas I must say. Lol I will buy my next firearm here and I live in South East KY.

I dont normally write reviews. But after reading the negatives here I would like to add my opinion. (I know everyone has one)Firstly this store is not Buds. Buds does an extreme amount of business across the country hence they can offer the prices they do. But have you ever tried to make a phone call to Buds to ask a question? I have several times and it has cost them money as I went elsewhere looking for what I needed. (BTW there is a gun store an hour away that is even cheaper then Buds...)Have you ever walked into Buds and wait twenty minutes just for someone to wait on you? I have.Basically Buds is the Walmart of gun shops around here.Now Semper, I can pick up the phone right now and call them and they will answer immediately and answer any questions I may have. I can walk in there and they will help me immediately. And no I am not a vet, just a regular Joe off the street.As far as the testosterone filled atmosphere? Lets see its a GUN shop named Semper Fi. I dont see Hello Kitty any where in the name. What do you expect?If you walked into a REAL barbershop, you would get the same. Geez give me a break.Maybe this is a little much for a woman walking in there, but I watched first hand as Seth showed my daughter about 12 handguns until he found one that would fit her smallish hands perfectly. And she is shy as hell and does not talk to anyone she does not know. So just maybe it may not be so bad if given the chance.So are these guys perfect? No they are not. Do they have my business? Yes they do. And as long as they continue to treat me as they have, they will continue to have it.For me, service is worth the extra price.Thank You

I purchaes three guns from the shop，it works great。they can answer every questions i have。and im looking for the fourth gun from the shop。from starting paper work till i had the gun in my hand takes about 15 minute！or less。i dont know where the nagetive comment come from，but it work for me。range is OK，not too much to say about the range.
