I received a warm greeting upon entry to the store. The staff was very knowledgeable and was able to answer my questions. They helped me locate my selection promptly and were ready to assist me if necessary, for any additional selections.

Sales associates have no clue about wines. I asked several associates for a sweet white wine and two both pointed me to same one. I specifically asked for sweet and they agreed this particular one was sweet and delicious. Got home and chilled the wine and it taste like what I imagine boiled hotdog water with a splash of rubbing alcohol would taste like.

They have great options in store as well as special orders. Very informative staff whenever Ive had a question they have been able to assist and offer even more information.

I just left very happy! Patrice, the store manager was busy working when I came in but I interrupted her to ask for help choosing a gift for my father-in-law who retired yesterday. Im dont know a lot about wine sold in stores, but I had recently joined a wine club at a Vineyard in Monroe North Carolina. Unfortunately they dont sell the wine from that Vineyard in stores. However, Patrice was familiar with the vineyard and their selection! I was really happy to hear this so when I named the wines that I had given him as a gift in the past, she helped me to find something that was similar and that she enjoyed herself. She was very kind and gracious and helped me select two bottles of wine in my price range. I am very appreciative, thank you Patrice!

Was trying to get ready for our Labor Day celebration and decided to go to total wine to pick up some drinks.The Store opens at 9am. If they are not going to open their doors at 9am, why even have 9 am posted as an opening time.At 9am I walked up to the total wine store door saw two associates inside standing by the door talking, they look at me and decide to not come open the door and continue their conversation. Again I looked at my phone to confirm It was actually 9 am ..which it was.. I ended up leaving and getting my drinks from Harris Teeter

Love this Total Wine! Its big and there are so many options for beer AND wine lovers! The staff was super helpful- the first person I asked to find a beer I was looking for couldnt find it, so she brought me to another employee and he was able to find it right away.

Its a store that doesnt want my purchase. I walked in to purchase a pack of beer and couldnt make the purchase because my wife walked in without her ID. So because she didnt have her ID (even though I had mine), we werent allowed to make the purchase. My wife and I are both 28 and its a stupid rule that they card all members of a group. Nowhere else in any store that sells alcohol (not even the ABC store that sells hard liquor) has this policy. Dont give business to a store that doesnt respect your time.

Cigar humidor is in terrible shape. Ive returned 3 cigars in 2 weeks as they are falling apart. The selection is mediocre. Too many high end selections and not enough of the value cigars ( $2 - $4 ). Total wine, please fix this or Im buying elsewhere.

Great customer service. They gentleman was able to show me what I came in for. . .and then tell me they were discontinuing carrying that product. Only had 2 left. They did let me know about the Greenbrier location having a case!!!

The store on 21st in Norfolk reset the beer inventory, and there is no rhyme or reason to how the shelve are stocked, I would usually spend a $140 a month, this frustrated me so much that walked out empty handed.

Probably the best place to buy beer and wine in the Norfolk area. The selection and prices are only decent, but the staff is friendly and very helpful, they will point you in the right direction if youre not exactly sure what youre looking for or if youd like pairing suggestions. I like going to their tasting Friday evenings.If you want a better selection, go to the VA Beach location. If you want a better price, Harris Teeter has great deals on wine and the variety/sampler 12 packs from time to time.

The people are very knowledgeable and very helpful. The person who helped me was very nice and even walked me through which wine would go best with the meal as well as on New Years Eve was able to give me great suggestions of Champagne. The one that he recommended and I tried was very good. I will continue to go back because of the outstanding and polite service they provide.

Its almost not worth it for me anymore. They have discontinued just about everything I used to buy from them. They have lots of weird craft beers now. They move things around and dont seem to know where they are in the store. Often, Ive been told that their computer shows they have an item, but they cant find it in the store. The aisles are crowded with merchandise just seemingly left where it is. The store is increasingly disorganized!

This is my new favorite store! They have so many selections of wines, beers, and cigars! Their desert wine selection could get a little bigger but its not bad! And they have a lot of nice bottles under 10 bucks! Dont waste your money at a 711 or food lion. They also make great recommendations. You can trust them.

Love this place for beer and wine! I couldnt find the beer I was looking for so a very friendly employee pointed me to the seasonal section which I had overlooked. The only complaint I can think of is there are so many options you can miss what you are looking for. However, you might find something else you havent tried before, which is awesome.

This is the best liquor store I have ever visited, and Everytime I visit the facility only gets better.At first it was just an empty warehouse with shelves of all types of alcohol. Last time I visited though they had a complete overhaul and the aisles were decorated and the store itself had a nice wood grain theme to it.It helps that everyone that works there is super kind and is willing to help you. Their variety is unmatched and they also have local spirits and brews which are my personal favorite. Also they sell thirties cheaper then anywhere else I know. So if Im going to a BYOB party or thinking that I might want to be a little adventurous with my alcohol consumption for that evening Ill visit Total wine and more.Also they have pretty bonkers sales if cheap is what you are looking for.

I am not a wine drinker. So, I walked in this store not knowing what to purchase for a friend. I did do some research and read the reviews for a few wines. First, I asked a customer who was near me about wines. She was very pleasant and explained to me the differences between white and red wines. She pointed out a few that she enjoyed. As we were talking, a total wine representative came over and asked if we needed any assistance. The lady said, Heres your expert. I thanked her and told the store rep what I was looking for. I did let her know I didnt want to spend more than $20.00. She asked me about the smoothness or something and I just looked at her. She suggested Iter Napa Valley. Long story short my friend enjoyed and was surprised I picked a good wine for a none wine drinker.....Thank you Total Wine!!!

So much variety, but needs more sake to choose from. My fiance only likes rice wine and sweet wines. Paradise. Excellent selection of local and international wines and craft beers. I spend way too long trying to convince myself it is not okay to spend hundreds of dollars there but I still do. Theres just so much to try. I am not complaining though! The staff is knowledgeable and usually spot-on with their recommendations. They have great informational tabs on the different wines with reviews and observations. I love discovering new wineries/breweries.

Great selection of beer. Next to actually visiting a brewery, this is a great place to get limited release beer from local craft brewers. Also they have a good selection of wine, as well as things that can be hard to find, like meade. Good customer service.
