Update: In light of our below experience, I was contacted by Jennifer (District Manager) who took our concerns seriously and sought to help restore our confidence. Given a few days, she found the products we wanted, had them moved to our local store, and then we set an appointment to return and upgrade our phones while she would be in Norfolk visiting the store. At our new appointment this week, Jennifer met with us and then handed us over to Bill (the Manager as I understand?) who did a great job handling our transactions and transferring each of our old phone setups to the new phones. All went excellently and we are very pleased that the situation was handled professionally and we could both get the phone upgrades we were looking for and continue to do business at this location. Thank you for caring for your customers.Original (1-star) review: We have had good experiences and happily done business here in the past. Tonight was the opposite experience. We made an appointment through the provided business phone number so we could go in and see about phone upgrades. When the salesperson came and opened the locked door, he simply asked what we wanted, wouldnt let us in the door, and made no effort to welcome us in any way. We said we had an appointment, he asked what for, and we said we wanted to upgrade our phones. What kind of phone? Preferably the new iPhone. We dont have any of those. I wont try to quote the entire conversation since I dont want to misquote anything. Nonetheless, in short, he made no effort to talk to us about our needs and interests, and made us feel unwelcome, if not an inconvenience. Had he invited us in, made an effort to tell us about any comparable non-Apple product, we still might have been interested, or at least it wouldve been nice to be able to say thanks for the alternative ideas but no thanks. Perhaps he could have made an effort to help us place an order for our preferred product in spite of the fact it might be a few weeks or so before being available; we mightve considered that, and at least wed be doing some business. As it is now, we are skeptical about returning -- past positive reputation and credibility very much undermined by a salesperson apparently unwilling to try and earn our business. We hope others have better results.
The staff here was incredibly friendly and COVID safe. The manager, Bill met me at the door to make sure that I was comfortable coming in, and since I only had to pay my bill they handled it immediately right there! I was able to keep my peace of mind and was in and out. I will 100% be back to see Bill and his staff. It is nice to see stores taking our health seriously in the middle of a global pandemic.
Service was on point. The staff was charismatic and helpful. They didn’t make any question or barrier seem like a hassle and just got whatever they needed to do done.
I am concerned that Billiam has anger management problems. He was hostile and confrontational from the very beginning. Would not let me complete a sentence, fast talking and progressively louder. I tried to tell him what I needed help with and that I had not been able to get anyone by phone. He was fixated on what time I called. Raising his voice and insisting on knowing the exact times I called. I said I didn’t know. By this time he was nearly yelling. He said I obviously didn’t want his help. He told me to leave and go to the store down the road. I asked if anyone else was available, that my mother had died and I needed to cancel her phone number. He said “I don’t care. nobody at this store will be helping you now or in the future. You have a nice day“. After that every time I tried to start a sentence he yelled “you have a nice day” I left and he went back to dusting the display. Absolutely bizarre experience!
I havent had good customer service in a very long time until I came to your store 511 on little Creek Rd.the Manger was nice but John Lozada waited on me very helpful and nice but to all the ones that he waited on also he knew the product well my name is Linda Reverend thank you for having a nice and very pleasant employee. Top notch customer service. As of late, Ive seen a decline in good service and I was pleasantly surprised at how attentive and personable the staff were. The manager was great and it really felt like he was engaged, even though I had a thousand questions. 10/10 would recommend this location.

Brittany was so very helpful to this 70 year old senior. She was very patient with me and such a joy to have met her. Shes going to be my surrogate daughter. Just went back to the store, because she mentioned that she liked bread and I baked fresh bread this morning. Took her some of my rolls, I love her. You have a great employee in her, dont lose her.

Twice, Ive witnessed the kind of professionalism and expertise unlike anything Ive ever experienced at any business. Both times visiting this location I was fortunate to be assisted by Brittney A. She was able to pleasantly assist myself and 3 other separate customers simultaneously. Brittney A is the most exceptional multi-tasker I have ever encountered. The first time I visited this location I anticipated a frustrating experience, but Brittney made it very easy. The second time I visited, Brittney made it very easy. Every customer Ive seen her help left the location SMILING and thanking her. I want to formally thank Verizon for employing professionalism like hers.
Bill was incredibly helpful and patient with me!! He took extra time to answer all of my questions and offer solutions I never would have thought of (Im not tech savvy in the least) This is not my usual Verizon store and it isnt even close to where I live, but I am definitely coming back for the service. I am really indecisive about almost everything. When I came to Verizon I wasnt expecting to be helped so quickly. I was with a couple third party phone services and didnt know what to expect. Michael was extremely patient with me and took his time explaining each part of the process. I wish I had switched earlier in all honesty. Now I have the phone I want and and paying a reasonable price for it. I will definitely be back the next time a need a phone.
The services provided by this Verizon Authorized Retailer are impeccable. I had the most knowledgeable experience at this location. It didnt matter what the problem was, they refused to let me leave without fixing my issues and were extremely pleasant about. My issue was complicated, but that did not matter to them. They made me feel like a very valuable customer and I will continue to visit their store for my services. Thank You Very Much for an unforgettable experience.

This is one of the best Verizon retailers around. When I went in today, I did not know what to expect. I was in and out within no time. Brittany provided me with top notch customer service. I will definitely go back to this location.
Only one person working and they went on brake. Nothing wrong with that, except the sign said 30 minutes. I was waiting for an hour before I just left. Door was locked, no one was inside and it was business hours.

Had the craziest greeting today at the store . Employee met me at the door with aggression not welcome . Said he had to keep his traffic count down. all i need was a sim card insurance failed to send me 1 with replacement

This Verizons customer service is 5 star. Brittney went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of from the time we entered the door till the next day when we came back to get our new phones. My husband and I came in right before the store was about to close, we received the same service as if they were just opening. The employee was friendly and professional and didnt mind staying there a little longer.

Dont knock the smaller stores!!I first visited this location a couple of weeks ago to upgrade my phone which was in dire need! Jon was my customer service rep and he was awesome! Super friendly, prompt and efficient. I was informed (but not pushed) of the sale/promotions they were offering and got a great deal on a number of accessories in addition to my upgrade. Jon truly made sure I got the absolute most out of my money and experience. I was in and out in no time super stoked to be able to see my phone screen again clearly lol.I even ended up going back a couple of weeks later to exchange a couple of the accessories (nothing wrong with them just a better use of other items) although it could have been extremely complicated Im sure for some due to the original purchase discounts and such-Billiam was able to get it done and took the extra time to ensure I was 100% satisfied. I Definitely recommend this location for the outstanding level of service! 😁

I dropped my Iphone 11pro flat on concrete and cracked it bad enough it would’nt work. I drove to the Ghent Verizon location and walked in to get help on how to make a claim . The only employee there simply wrote down the number and handed it to me with no other Instructions on what to do. After getting frustrated trying to figure all this out I went to this location and was greeted at the door by the nicest guy and please remember his name! MICHAEL. He was so helpful and guided me, well actually he did it for me as i was overwhelmed by damaging my phone, then dealing with the other store that offered no help.All this to say this store is above board & will go out of the way to make sure you walk out happy. 5 stars for Michael & if i could give 5 more for his biceps i would.

They really were extremely helpful. Jan was very nice and showed us different deals. They answered all the questions and concerns we had. Order a new phone and saved hundreds of dollars. Another sales clerk went above and beyond when showing the capabilities of a phone case and screen protector by dropping his phone several times. Just all around awesome.

My older Iphone died earlier in the morning and promptly after work I started looking for a way to replace it. I visited two other local Verizon stores where I found lack of interest and poor customer service. At my third and last stop, I was so happy to find JAN, sales specialist at the Victra Verizon location to help me. It was late near closing time, but JAN was patient and listened to my concerns. (I am a senior, living alone and my Iphone is my lifeline.). On the spot, JAN helped me contact the insurance company to have a new phone overnighted. I really appreciated his concern and expert assistance. The next day JAN helped me set up the new Iphone. He was also able to help me upgrade my IPad ... great deal! I felt valued as a customer and received excellent service from JAN and his team. We can count on JAN and this Victra Verizon store for the best service!

The sales staff at this location had their hands full when my Grandma and Mom went in to get a new phone. They answered all questions clearly, made great recommendations based off of what my mom was looking for, being that she is hearing impaired and were continuously friendly, even when my grandma was being particularly difficult. So happy they were able to help me convince my mom to finally upgrade from a flip phone to a smart phone!

Manager there is condescending, very rude. Does not know how to speak to people. I walked in and heard him talking on the phone with a customer and I was like what in the world??? Then I was dealing with a person from his staff and he jumped into l the conversation. I thought he was going to help and in turned out to be a discussion of why I should upgrade to the XR instead of the XS. I’m like, 1. I did not ask for you opinion and 2. I don’t like the phone. I told him why and he begin to laugh and make comments. Totally unnecessary, I heard from staff members there that this has happened in the past. Don’t give that I understand your concern reply. Ownership needs to straighten this guy out. The only reason I gave this place one star is because I can’t leave it blank. Fix it because you give this guy power every time you let things go by. You are going to lose out at the end. Keep thinking this type of behavior is cute.
