Great coffee, great ambience. Trust me, walk in here instead of the Starbucks down the street. Very welcoming atmosphere to just sit and read, maybe do some work and grab a bit to eat. I had a caramel latte and a lox bagel, delicious! Highly recommend!

My husband and I decided to stop by this cafe while we were on vacation. Everyone was very friendly. The barista made us feel very welcomed. We took his recommendation and tried the mocha frappuccino with whip cream. I was not disappointed! It was yummy. If youre a neat freak with OCD I would place a phone order and pick it up. This place is clearly designed for the creative mind to sit back and enjoy the endless possibilities and storylines create by the decor. I also loved the personal message and artwork on my cup. Alatte thought went into this place and I love it!

Top notch place. WAY better than the Starbucks down the street. Youre 100% crazy if you choose chain coffee over this place. The service was fantastic. The owner personally makes the coffee. He & his employees go out of their way to offer good service. The coffee is great. They also offer breakfast foods & ice cream. The interior is eclectic (in a good way.) Very comfortable to sit and enjoy your coffee. The bathrooms are clean. A lot of reviews you add a Id change this... or a critique on possible improvements. I have got nothing. Keep doing what youre doing!

Went here back to back days and got a mocha cold brew with cream. It was exactly the same....absolutely delicious. The employees are very friendly and the atmosphere is great. If you are in the area you should definitely visit.

Skip the Starbucks and come here instead. Great atmosphere, plenty of seating (the front window seating seems particularly nice for working!) and great coffee + food. They also sell their own beans for reasonable prices and its very fresh.

Truly a unique little spot right in the heart of Norfolk. This gem features an extensive and fairly priced menu, including the Canadian bacon egg and cheese bagel I had the pleasure of eating this morning. I indulged in a white chocolate latte as well, which was roasted to perfection and topped with whipped cream. Solid spot with a very warm, inviting, and eclectic feel. Will return for sure!

Loved the character this place has and the drinks are fantastic. Also a big fan of the bagel with pepperoni and munster cheese thats toasted and quite fantastic. Havent had anything like that anyplace else. Also they have ice cream that you can get with coffee.

This neatly tucked, cute and quirky latte shop is very relaxing. I was immediately greeted and assisted with a smile. I ordered the Nico as it was recommended. This drink is amazing! Very smooth no bitterness at all! The flavors of orange and cinnamon mesh very well for that flavored finish I started a punch card as I will definitely be going back!

Adorable little coffee shop in the middle of downtown. I did several business meetings here and was impressed. The place never seems to be super crowded so it’s easy to carry on a conversation and the tables are nicely spread out. Nothing like your typical coffee shop.

The atmosphere here is so comfortable and cheerful. And everything I have tried was fresh and yummy. I especially enjoy the staff. A wonderful group of cheerful and interesting people. Just so nice to visit.

Perfect place to grab a cup of coffee and a hot meal. Customer service was impeccable. I was literally there for 7 hours and didn’t feel pressured to keep buying things - though I did buy two cups of coffee and a chicken salad sandwich (delicious).

Havent been here in a long time. My dad loves this place. We had dinner here to celebrate my dad and stepmoms 20th wedding anniversary. It is best to call and make a reservation if you plan to come over the weekend. They get pretty busy.They have seating on upper and lower floor.We started off with their calamari and she crab soup. The soup was so good.

The hubby and I stopped in to avoid the wind and warm up. I had the Thor and he had the Nico along with a muffin. If we were locals we would definitely go back!! Thankful for little bright spots like this in our day!

We live just down the street and are happy returning customers. The staff are always cheerful and attentive, and the service is always quick. The menu is simple, but tasty, and is appropriate for any time of day. You should definitely pick up some ground or whole bean coffee while youre there.

Healthy quality food, tasty basmati rice and Greek salad is fresh. I frequently order the family meal for takeout and we always pleased with our meal. Staff is very helpful and courteous. I forgot my wallet and they staff called me at home! So thankful for honest people, honest food and a comfortable place to enjoy both.

Drinks were great (cold brew coffee) and their chicken salad on a bagel was GREAT. Atmosphere is wonderful and I LOVE all the giraffes! The story behind them is pretty cool too, ask the owner when you stop in!

This place is a Norfolk classic and I come back every time Im in the area. As a lover of indie coffee shops, this is one of my favorites and has a lot of character (and delicious food, too!) Great spot for studying or just meeting a friend. Got me hooked on lavender lattes/mochas!

Such a cute spot! I love the giraffe décor, and the employees are always so sweet and friendly. I love the eclectic furniture all around and the fact that they have board games, books, and a pretty awesome aquarium. I’ve had sandwiches, coffee and a shake, all from multiple visits, and have always been happy with it! I do wish the lighting was a bit more atmospheric, but that would only be an improvement on an already great location.

FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE! I called for catering and accidentally told them the wrong date for my event. I realized the morning of my event and called the store in a panic at 6am (my event was at 7am). aLatte told me no problem and got everything ready before 7am! All of my attendees were thrilled with the food and kept asking me where I got it. Couldnt be happier!

This place is the best coffee place on the East Coast, IMHO! The prices are fair, and I have yet to be disappointed in anything Ive ordered! My son loves their frappes, in which they use ice cream, not ice and milk, like Starbucks do! If you are in downtown Norfolk, and want to go somewhere wonderfully eclectic for coffee/tea/ice cream and/or food, this is the place to go!

After trying many overpriced items and not loving anything I thought Id just tell the barista what I wanted. I informed the cashier I wanted a sweet iced coffee with cream. The cashier said she knew what to make me and just rang something up. I trusted that shed make me an amazing drink, so I said okay. A minute or so passes and I go up to get my order and its a black cold brew...not sweet and zero cream. I then told a barista that its not what I wanted and she basically said too bad. After a minute or so she said shed make me another drink, then after dropping it off decided to say this next time you know what you want just say it and dont leave it up to us. I think sweet iced coffee with cream is pretty clear. Needless to say I wont be back, so there wont be a next time and they also lost the business of the company I had with me.Bottom line is the staff can be quite rude, their items are over priced and the coffee just doesnt taste good honestly. Youre better off having the 7/11 coffee two blocks over.

I go to Alatte Cafe every morning before work to get Ice Coffee. They have some of the best Ice Coffee I have ever had in my life, and this is coming from a person who gave up coffee because of the caffeine headaches I would get. Needless to say I had their Ice Coffee and I have been drinking coffee religiously.Neil and Melissa are the owners and they are 2 of the nicest and coolest people. I look forward to visiting the store because both Neil and Melissa are easy to talk to and they try to make their customers feel at home. Keep up the good work guys!!!!!P.S. They roast their own coffee which is Awesome.

Rich, smooth espresso that doesnt hit the front pallette with any unpleasant acidity, if you judge a shop on its shots, this is definitely worth stopping into.

I get my afternoon cup of coffee here almost every day. The people are very, very friendly. The coffee is really quite good; they roast it themselves, and do a superb job.
