Brett Olson and Carl were the exception. They knew there product. Very professional. Pella should take good care of these 2 representatives. Ordered a complete replacement for my house (over 30 windows). Thought going with a name like Pella would be better than going with HD since you get what you pay for, but not this time. The windows that were installed correctly are good, but like others on this site, there have been too many unresolved issues with no communication....Wrong windows delivered, some windows installed with finishing nails and not screws, grids inside one window is slanted, paid for all wooden jams and had 3 windows installed with vinyl jams (with plastic caps to hide screw holes), window sills caulked together, painted over nails that were left exposed and not counter sunk into trim, craftsmanship of finishing crew leaves much to be desired.Initially, communication was good and was told that everything would be fixed. (could never get anyone to put it in writing). Had some people come by and fix a few of windows after the initial discussion and then said they would be back. However, that was over 5 weeks ago with no additional communication I have emailed and called people from my initial sales person (Brett) to someone in Richmond (Scott) and no one has gotten back to me. They have even left supplies all over my garage and drive way. Im still hopeful that this can be resolved since Ive paid for my windows even before they got installed.Here are some pictures of how a completed installed window looks like and how most of my house looks since.

This has now be going on for a couple years after the install. Everything up to install was fine, even having to wait for replacements. I am a patient person.Install went smoothly. Replaced all windows and sliding door on original windows that had never been changed out since the place was built in 1982.All windows are fine except for one! Now keep this in mind, I live on the beach on the Chesapeake Bay. My waterside windows and sliding door need to handle strong winds and rain. I ordered what they recommended.With-in the first hard rain, I had dripping water coming out of the top frame of one of my bedroom windows. Filled a giant glass mug that I have(permanently sits in that window now). These windows NEVER leaked before.After the windows were installed new siding was installed.. the leak had started before the siding was ever installed.. yet when I talked to Pella about this.. they blamed the siding company.. then they blamed my roof top deck... that has not been changed, then they blamed my new gutters that got installed AFTER the siding which was long AFTER the window install. I have been given excuse after excuse and they came out and put tape on the window saying good to go.. still leaks.Here are the facts..1. Never leaked with old windows.2. Window got installed and leaked before any other work was even started.3. They have made an attempt to put tape on the flange.4. They have said its not their issue. They didnt cause the leak.5. They have blamed it on everything else and said our windows NEVER leak!6. They stand by their products just not their installs.7. Installed in 2019... window still leaks to this day.Do yourself a favor, read all documentation. Doesnt matter how much you spend on whatever fancy windows they sell you.. if the install is not right.. wont matter.And Pella if you respond to this.. I will not be in contact with you about this anymore.. I am fixing it myself. I have filed a complaint with your corporate office, social media team and the local office.. None of it matters.Have a great day all! Knowledge is power so hopefully this will help someone out. I just hope others get better service/luck than I did.

I was interested in Pella because of the high reputation they hold. I received a promotional flyer that had some very good financing options so I decided to explore it further. I had an appointment with Chris Thomas and after meeting with him I felt my knowledge and understanding of the whole window system of a house and the important role it has overall was significantly higher. Chris helped determine the right product line and style that suited my needs, budget and style best. He was very thorough. He gave several options for financing if I were to choose Pella. Ultimately I decided to purchase from Pella because of their reputation, warranties and promotional terms that just made sense invest. The knowledge learned from the appointment alone makes me a wiser homeowner and real estate (asset) owner.

I stopped by the showroom in Norfolk in February where I met Chase Thomas. I really didn’t know what to expect when it came to windows, but he did a great job of showing me all the options. We set a date and he came out and measured and gave me a price. Although the price was a bit higher than I expected I could see the value in going with a company like Pella. Pella stands by there work, and I did not get that same feeling with other companies. The install went really well. Robert Martinez the project manager stopped by and made sure everything was going well and to my satisfaction. All in all a great experience.

I just had my Vinyl sliding door installed by Pella. From the first meeting with Chase Thomas to the install everything was a 5 star experience. Chase had great knowledge, and a no pressure attitude. The install took half a day and they were in and out and cleaned up after themselves. Great experience.

I had an incredible experience working with Chase Thomas and Pella. Chase was the 4th sales rep I had out and he was by far the most educated, and well mannered. Window world was 45 minutes late. Mr.Rogers made me feel extremely uncomfortable with there high pressured close, and the Thompson Creek rep seemed like he got hired yesterday. Once I selected pella, Morgan my project manager came out, and was extremely knowledgeable regarding the installation and what I should expect. The install was on time, and extremely efficient. The install crew was excellent, and very kind. I was told my install would take 3 days, and that’s exactly how long it took. Best decision I could have made for this project was choosing pella.

I just had my brand new windows and door installed by Pella. When I decided to do this project I originally got 4 quotes. Thompson Creek, Mr.Rogers, Window World, and of course Pella. The sales rep Chase Thomas, came out and was the only sales rep that put no pressure on me. The lead times were 15-18 weeks which is longer than what I wanted to wait, but I could tell it was a product worth waiting for. Chase described the installation to me in detail. The installation went exactly how It was described to me. They protected my house, installed the new windows and door, and cleaned up after themselves when they finished. The install crew was efficient and extremely effective with there time. Im so glad I went through Pella for this project, and will be a returning customer.

I just had my Morning Sky Gray Impervia (Fiberglass) windows installed. They are GORGEOUS, and I can’t be more thrilled with the results. From the first meeting to the installation, Pella lived up to the name. 5 stars!

I bought three new windows and two sliding doors for over $6k. One door came with a broken lock. You would think this was a simple request to get it replaced but I have been chasing the Sales office for days with no service appointment. Then they offered me to go to their store and pay for it if I dont want to wait for their service to call or schedule an appointment. How can I wait days for the service appointment without locking the sliding door for security?You spend 6K and they expect you to pay $15 for a defective product. Very sloppy sales attitude. Hope to never have to deal with them again.

Completely unprofessional with how they manage customer experience. Despite multiple visits to measure (huge inconvenience to any working couple), they showed up with wrong size windows (off by 5 inches!). This after taking a 50% deposit and holding onto my money for 3+ months! I had to reach back out to them to get any sense of how they planned to resolve...waited over two weeks and then decided to go with another company. Now they wont refund my deposit. Whatever happened to customer is always right, especially when the mistake was 100% on Pella? Do not recommend - do not use them!

From start to finish my experience with Pella has been incredible. From my first initial visit with Chase Thomas who helped me narrow down the best product for my budget. We are building a custom home in an older established neighborhood and wanted windows that mimicked the look of the old fashion wood pane windows. I fell in-love with Pellas Architect Series but was concerned because I had heard that Pella did not have the best service reputation. However, I could not find any other brand that gave me the sense of beauty and quality as the Architect Series offered so I decided to check out the store in Va. Beach.Our salesman, Jim Britt, was very accommodating and patient with us as we evaluated the various window styles (casement verses double hung) and window and door hardware color options. I also wanted a special size front, side and back door and Jim coordinated all of this for us. Jim was lightning quick to respond to all my texts and made me feel I could contact him any time for any reason on any thing!! I can honestly say that the service I have received from Jim at Pella has been without a doubt exceptional.When all the windows and doors were installed, one of the door locks did not work. My builder contacted Pella and was told a new lock was on its way. No hassle there.The doors and windows are solid and lovely. I ended up choosing a mixture of casement and double hung and cannot wait to use my screens as I bought the vivid view, which gives a higher transparency when looking out the window as opposed to the regular screens. Also, the casement windows offer a retractable screen that rolls up and stays hidden when not used. A great idea when storage space is always an issue. So you can say that I am very pleased with the product and with the service from Pellas sales rep, Jim!!! We are only weeks away before we will be able to move into our lovely home and enjoy the views from our windows and doors. Thank you, Pella! And thank you, Jim!

One day install was not complete. They didn’t have all the materials and installed a threshold that is damaged and the wrong color, not even close. Install on Monday and it’s now Wednesday at 1pm.I have called 5 times and spoke with four different people, left a message on the fifth call.Door is great and this would be a 4 or five star review except there doesn’t seem to be much interest in getting this completed.

Incompetence at its best:I ordered window replacements in September of last year. The wrong size of windows came. My window was boarded up for months in winter. The right size finally came... But there was a broken bracket. They sent a replacement bracket weeks later and it was the wrong size. It’s now late May and I was just told that the new bracket will take another month to arrive.

I have been very pleased with my experience with Pella Windows and Doors and the excellent service and expertise provided by Jim Britt. From blueprint to building, he was helpful and accurate, with exceptional follow-up.

Simply put, Im not impressed. We spent $47500 to have our windows and doors replaced throughout our home. After overcoming my initial sticker shock from Pella (and their competitors) we went with Pella because of their reputation for quality. Unfortunately, they simply have not lived up to that reputation.Our order was placed in October. Installation to occur in February (our choice), and it is now June and the job is still not complete due to replacement warranty work (not our choice). Several windows and the sliding glass door were damaged during the manufacturing process and had to be replaced under warranty.Had to have the installation team, who were subcontractors to Pella, out to touch up caulk, which Im still not thrilled with, and paint. The service team has been out twice now to replace and repair their work under warranty.Expect at least a month in between visits due to their schedule. The service team was an hour late arriving this morning.We have paid what we consider to be a princely sum of money, and for that price, I expected more from Pella. I have to trust that the windows will last for decades to come because I dont want to endure another experience like this again. Nice, hard working people, but they have missed the mark on value and schedule.

The price is great, quality seems great too (let’s compare that in 5 years). Absolutely sweet representative and the guy who was installing was awesome too. 3 stars because the contract says 4-6 weeks estimate and that it will take only 2 business days to install it between 7-5pm. It took 10, yes TEN weeks and pretty much we felt like we are some side part time job for them. Saying nothing bad about the guys, but if the company is understaff they should hire employees so the windows are not being installed for like 5 days and especially not on Sunday evening. Also for the amount you are spending, they should have some customer service representative i guess make a phone call check If everything is going smooth.

Our windows look amazing. From start to finish, Pella worked with us to give us the best look for our kitchen remodel. Shane was awesome and explained all the features of Pella windows. Once we selected the ones we wanted, the Pella team measured and installed our windows. They treated every step with great care to our property and we LOVE our new windows. Now that we see how great they look, we will put them in other rooms of our house. I cannot say enough good things about Pella and their product and staff.

I am working from home and during installation they kept disruption to a minimum even putting up with my barking dog. She sent me an email claim form, everytime i attempt to fill out and return it it says pictures are too big? I am sending from a cellphone, how big can a picture be???
