I had colored my hair at home like I have been doing forever and it turned out orange! I was horrified and quickly called Fantastic Sams in North Branch. When I got there Kelli was able to make it 110% better and I was so thankful! It was still a little orangey but turned out more like a natural redhead. I did not like it at first but am now extremely happy compared to what it was! Thank you Thank you Kelli! I truly appreciate your help!!

My boyfriend went in to get a haircut today and they asked what he wanted done. He said a fade. He got the response “well there is a lot of different kinds.” Ok. So they asked how short he wants the top and he said a quarter inch-half inch. The stylists LAUGHED, and so did the stylists next to her. He didn’t go to school to learn how to cut hair, if he did he definitely wouldn’t be at this place getting a haircut. The overall cut is okay, not blended all that well. Horrible attitude towards someone I knowledgeable about hair. He will definitely not return here. Really glad we canceled our sons appointment who was supposed to be after his dad!

Worst cut ever. Husband came home I said oh my God. That looks terrible! He agreed. Wings sticking out on both sides. She didnt shave his neck. Nothing blended. Took my mom here 6 months ago. Also a terrible cut. Thought wed give it one more try. NEVER again!

Went in for get my eyebrows cleaned up. I meant CLEANED up. I asked to just have them cleaned up and specifically asked that they not to be reshaped or especially not to go to far back or to be thin, the result was exactly the opposite of what I asked for. They made them a COMPLETELY different shape, way to far back and SUPER skinny. I have never left a bad reveiw before but I am very unhappy with the results I appreciate the effort but I shall not be coming back.

My daughter and I just our haircut. My daughter loves her haircut I am not too thrilled with mine Im going to probably come back and make them reframe the front because I wanted it framed and its barely framed and it turned out a lot shorter than I wanted it its sitting on my shoulders where I wanted it below my shoulders overall Im not mad its just hair and it will grow back but I just want them to reframe my front for me.

They cut my grandsons hair he has curly hair wanted long on top short on sides. His eyes were closed the whole time, lady told him too.He came out with short hair and very crooked his hair is very hard that’s why you don’t go short. You can look at it and know. He gets teased because of this bad haircut.

Kelli did a really great job! She was so thorough and did exactly what I wanted as well as explained the home care process and what should be done in the future. I love how my hair turned out and Ill be back again soon!

I wouldnt even be giving a star if I didnt have to, I came in about a week ago now, had a cut, color and highlight done. Well after it was all done and I was already at home (when it dried all the way) its nothing like I wanted, she took off WAY more then what I wanted. She even showed me how short it was going to be when done and its still at least 3 inches shorter then that. The color/highlight I specifically told her I wanted BOLD, all over, with none of my normal colors showing. She left most of my normal colors in and instead of doing half straight color she did a triangle on the bottom back of my head with the color! Not to mention her ripping the foils out of my head! I paid over $200 dollars for this? My husband told me to go back but, I highly doubt its fixable now!

Went in to the store at 3:40. Asked if my daughter could get her hair cut and her tips dyed. The girl at the front counter had told us she needed to check on it as they already had 2 clients getting their hair dye. Another lady came up to the front counter and said they stop coloring hair at 4p.m. The website states they close at 7p.m. They processed to tell me that they cant do it as we stop coloring at 4. Asked if we want to still get her hair cut. I said I would want to have it all done at the same time. The lady asked me if I understand and I said NO!!! I dont understand thats what your in business for is to do hair. I told them I was going somewhere else. When I left at 3:50 I called Fantasic Sams in Forest Lake and they didnt say anything about stop coloring hair at 4. They were more then happy to help. To me it seemed like the ladies that color hair didnt want to do it.so, as soon as 7 hits they were done. May be you want to rethink about who you have working for your company. As far as returning back to that store that probably will never happen. Poor customer service.

If I could give 0 stars I would! I loved my stylist Amber but she jumped ship. After she left, each cut got worse. I was there recently and left in tears! The stylist didnt listen to anything I said.. I had a picture of what I wanted, but it turned out nothing like what I asked for. I told her I didnt like and tried to show her the picture again, but she cut me off and started cutting one side of my head and left the other side, then took off the apron and said go home and play with it. It looked like I had two different haircuts! I reluctantly paid and tipped.. because I was apparently in shock! I immediately called the first 5 star salon in North Branch. The wonderful ladies at Hair Design dried my tears and fixed my hair. In the end it my hair is very short but super cute! Just stay clear of Fantastic Sams.

I went here to get a new hair color. I asked for an ombre red on my natural hair and the stylist gladly obliged. She was super nice and we talked about our lives while waiting on my hair. The final result was exactly what I was looking for. Definitely will be heading back here for another hair do!

I love Fantastic Sams. Been going to them for years now. Just make sure you know what you want and tell them exactly what you want and you will get it. If you dont say it right you wont get it. I learned that the hard way. Its all in how you explain what you want. President

Not very good customer service.

Usually very happy every time I go here. I always get a full foil and it always turns out great! I asked for the usual and at the end Im always blonde and love my hair. After the other day I will not go back! I spent almost 2 hours there and $140 to look the exact same! My hair is not any different than when I went in and the cut is shorter than what it was supposed to be.

Went in a few months ago and was nervous about getting my haircut. The ladies in this place are awesome! They made me feel right at home did a cut and style. I felt super confident leaving the salon and will definately be back!

Ive been getting my hair cut here since i moved to this area about 6 years ago. I have to admit wear my hair longer and much prefer a woman to cut it. Definitely the best place around as long as your not in hurry and want a good cut for a good price.

Typical I’m a total fan of fantastic sams, however today I was very disappointed. Not only did they skip washing my hair and the peppermint towel (the main reason I use them) when they blew off my hair as fast as she turned on the hair drier she shut it off and was done. I normally tip 30-50% on my haircut, I’m not going to lie I only tipped $2

Called ahead at 3pm, was told they would put me down for wash & cut since they were slow and said when I got there at 4 oclock the next open stylist would take me ahead of walk ins. I got there and they then said Id have to wait untl after three waiting walk ins were done. Totally bait and switch to get me in their door. I was told it would be nearly an hour wait. Their loss, I needed hair product too.I left, they wasted my time going there and I wont be back. Also, when their website has coupons orcoupons in local paper for Fantastic Sams, they have always told me they dont take coupons. Ive had enough of North Bransh Fantastic Sams. I went down the road and got a hair cut. Seems FS No Branch has a reputation of bad service practices.

I have received outstanding hair cuts from multiple stylists. The whole salon is clean, bright, and friendly.Knowledgeable staff that know the current styles. Despite the fact this chain doesnt keep an appointment book and is walk-in the stylists go out of their way to be available to their regulars.

I usually go to a salon in Stillwater, but the prices there have been raised each year for a master stylist and it got to be a little too prices, so I went out of my comfort zone and gave this place a try. Much to my surprise, I got a shampoo/rinse & haircut for about a 1/3 of what I normally would pay. I recommend Amber, who I had cut my hair, for she listened to what my expectations and end goal for my hair wishes were. She was thorough, pleasant, and ultimately, I left being extremely pleased with my new haircut! I will drive the 42.2 miles up there always, just to have her cut and color my hair. Thank you Amber!

I’m sorry, but I had a color and a cut and she didn’t even finish blow drying my hair. I left with wet hair, and it cost me $90.00. No product in my hair, not straighten or curl. JUST the color and cut. Granted, I was desperate, which is why I gave them a chance. But seriously? Doesn’t a good stylist finish drying your hair even if they aren’t going to curl or straighten it?

Don’t go here they will mess up your hair every time, they never listen to what you want and always mess up the cuts and cut it too short. This is the worst fanstastic sams I’ve ever been to

I brought my 3 year old daughter in for a cut the other day and we saw Kelli. She was absolutely amazing!! She was very patient with my daughter and the cut was adorable. We will certainly be returning.

Only take my son. Afforable hair cuts and service offered. But not my 1st choice for cutting thick curley head of hair that you would never notice if you cut crooked. But they can take too much, and they have done that to me twice. Have not found a good stylist here. Will bring the kids and husband for haircuts all day long.

Usually very happy with the service. Went in for a cut, after the wash, I was in the chair for literally 10 minutes tops. She never even cut the sides or top of my hair. Those were the areas I told her I was concerned about. Wish I could have requested a different stylest. Im hesitant to go back.

What i wanted as a haircut

I usually go to the Cambridge salon, but stopped in here after work today and I wished I hadnt. The stylist I had was in a rush from the start. I am used to a scalp massage with the shampooing, but she rushed through and left conditioner in my hair. Then she took about 4 minutes to cut my hair and startled me by indicating that she was done. I had to tell her 3 times to make changes to the style and I was hoping that when I got home, I could live with the cut, but it was so uneven I am going to Randi in Cambridge to have her fix it tomorrow. 3 years ago they messed up my highlight foil and I should have learned my lesson.

Stylist was rude, she missed alot of spots to cut, and she was obviously in a hurry to finish the hair cut. The stylist didnt even offer a rinse after the hair cut. Definitely will not be returning to this location.

A young woman walked to the front when I got to the store, barely smiled at me, only said hello after I did. Got checked in, had me sit while checking someone else in (totally fine about that). Was taken back to get trim on hair as well as shaping of eyebrows. Girl never introduced herself. Asked what I wanted done, told trim all around including the long layers that are all around my head. Took me back to wash, didnt wash hair all the way down my neck, left conditioner on for 5 seconds before rinsing. Eyebrows - so much wax left on my eyebrows that my eyelashes, which are pretty long, were sticking to my eyebrows, also skin ripped off my eyelids from wax being so thick that it went down to my eyelid. Hair - trimmed the back and the side, did only the back layers, didnt do any of the side layers. Didnt even measure to make sure the sides were the same length in front, back, etc...oh and only found out the girls name was andy because another stylist thanked her for using her clippers...worst experience I have ever had at a fantastic sams!
