So let me start off by saying I have been dealing with this place for the last 2 years.... it all started when we negotiated for new tires and rims.... we agreed on a price. They went back to take the old tires and rims off and put the new Tire and rims on..... It was a long wait.. they came back and said oh by the way your car has tire pressure sensors and to take those off the old tires and put them on the new its going to cost you $100 a tire..... that should have been something that was discussed when we talked about all the pricing not after youve taken everything off. Since you knew the tire pressure sensors were on there because youre a tire place and tire pressure sensors were mandatory on every car after 2007, and our car is a 2012. Then they couldnt even get the tire pressure sensors off..... It was absolute ridiculousness we paid for the new tires and rims and took the old tires home with us we pulled the sensors out our self which was extremely easy.... I couldnt for the life of me understand why they could not get them out.... Besides the fact that they didnt know what they were doing... after one of my tires exploded.. I took it back to Rent A Wheel and had them replace the tire which cost me $$.. then they told me that my tire pressure sensors went in there and I told him yes I was very much aware and explain to them what happened when we had our tires and rims a place.... And the man was really very nice dont get me wrong and explained that it was just whoever was there being lazy.... Which didnt surprise me since we in fact took them off ourselves at home and said that if we brought them in he would go ahead and do it for us and not charge us. Which was really nice of him and I told him I didnt have him with me. I told him that I would have to get them from home. The next time I go back theres all new staff theres only maybe one or two people that were there from the last visit..... I dont know what happened but of course nothing was documented they spent you know 20 minutes trying to find our purchase which I wish I had brought the receipt with me... But ultimately they did end finding our purchases and did end up putting on the sensors.Since we purchased these tires and rims all four tires have blown..... And to be honest I cant even remember ever hitting a pothole. All of them exploded on the inner well wall.... Meaning on the inner side of the tire...the part you cant see. When they gave us the new tires they had a special lug nut that locks the tire that you have to have a special tool for and each time we had to have the tire replaced that piece cracked..... Including this time. I had to go back before replacing my FOURT Tire and buy another one... Mind you these are $20 a pop...(I am now $80 in just in tools). I brought the first two tires that popped back to them and each one they told me oh something cut it from the inside..... Which I find highly unlikely to tires in a row.... After it happened with the third one we had the two back tires replace by Geralds Tires, which meant that we still had the front 2 from rent a wheel. One that had replace and one left of the original four... and then yesterday I was driving to class on Rivers did not even hit a pothole ...just driving along and heard a huge pop. I pulled my car over and what do you know my fourth Tire had exploded...again from the inner well... do not buy any tires from this place... I will never do business here again and I will make sure that everyone knows not to do business here. I will also go through and find the pictures that I took of all the other tires and post them on here as well.By the way we paid cash for everything if you are a cash pay hold on to all your stuff...we held onto all of our receipts.... Because if youre not on a payment plan they act like they cant find you in the system and spend 10-15 minutes looking for your name...like you never bought anything there

The gentlemen were extremely courteous. I was spoken to as soon as I walked in the door and all my questions were answered. I received great service all around.

Great place to go if you want a nice set of rims but dont want to pay a high price

There for a while things were getting EXTREMELY hectic and misconstrued here, but NOW that the old crew is gone everything is back on track. I thank Jonathon and Tom for taking good care of us and straightening out this huge mess. Definitely Recommended.!Yall head on down to Rent A Wheel and these two will take good care of you.

Great working ppl in here. The young man that put the tires on it only took him 10 min it seems he is fast and very respectful.and im talkn 24 inch tires. Not to mention the guys at the front deck made me feel as if i was important if they had sunday dinner i would not want to leave lol. I will only get my tires from. rent a wheel. I will give them a 10 out of 10 its clear to say i will be back. In the future.

I enjoyed the customer service that Wil and Alicia gave me and they were professional about handing me. They treated me like family.

Best wheel and tire shop in town!!..I know there is only three.. however far superior than the those other two..Most knowledgeable tire guy in the business..and Ill even use the word GURU.... applications done right and for your needs!!! Treated me like a million bucks and my car too...no rub, no scrub, and I left with more product knowledge than I could expect and pleased to death at how it was explained with the up most respect...Ask for the GURU....HE GOT YOU!!

Do not buy any wheels or tires from rent a wheel. They will charge your credit card without your authorization and they don’t abide by their contract. They ran my credit card three times in one day on numerous occasions they are not to be trusted. My account was paid in full and they kept charging me interest and they would never tell you what the balance is on the account.They took $500 off my American Express that I did not authorize and when I come to the shop to confront them they close the doors and lock it. Worst business ethics I’ve seen. They have gone through a lot of managers and employees.

My girls Stassia and Coleen were great. They made me and my spouse feel right at home. Stassia explained the contract well enough so that we could understand it. Harold was a new guy and he was awesome and willing to learn. They will forever have our business as long as those three are there.

Great people, awesome customer service, I just feel that prices were a little high especially when the rims and tires we got were used.

Store no open on time new store managers should be more approachable to the clients store manager should represent what he is the store manager. Account manager should be more polite with the customers. The rest of the staff the guys who put in the tires and attend the public they are good good attention every time I come.

I would not recommend this shop for rims or tires to nobody the and professionalism at this location is unbelievable the overcharging tires and rims the overcharging your credit card and blaming you for their mistake is unbelievable the turn over in management and employees is on believable Holly not recommendid

Very unprofessional and ghetto. The gurl named Coleman or cologne that answers the phone obviously doesn’t know anything about working at a business and being a adult. Very childish and Unknowledgeable of her jobs duty.

THIS PARTICULAR NORTH CHARLESTON LOCATION IS A FRANCHISE SO IT DOES NOT SPEAK FOR ALL THE OTHER RENT A WHEELS. CHECK CRAIGSLIST AND EBAY BEFORE YOU RENT A WHEEL AT THIS LOCATION. MY EXPERIENCE WAS SO BAD UNTIL IM GONNA LEAVE A REVIEW EVERY WEEK ON THIS PLACE.

The workers are right there and ready for any questions you have, if the wheel or rim isnt there they are ready to order it for you without hesitation. I highly recommend going if you want to give your vehicle some attention.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I came in already pre approved knowing what tires I wanted. Then this bald headed employee go off and saying my choise of tire is stupid questioning my tire choice, I ask a few questions about being finance and he practically calls me stupid. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I wish I could have got this guys name to make it know! Hope to anyone who reads this doesnt go to this carp tire shop and go to somewhere else where they respect their customers.
