Friendly people but HIGHEST prices in town. We have lived a few blocks from Tire Pros for two years now, which meant convenient walking distance when we had car repairs. (We are a one vehicle family). Unfortunately, every repair has been over-priced compared to other shops in town, but due to convenience we continued going here. Then, we brought car in for a smog check and it failed due to the Catalytic Converter we had replaced a year ago no longer being acceptable for our make/model... (a horrible nightmare that is not Tire Pros fault). But, when we found a mechanic that could replace the CC for half the price, we took car there instead and returned to Tire Pros later in the day to have re-test done - but they were going to charge us AGAIN for another $60 smog test. WOW. When we called around to other star-certified smog centers, they all said they will do smog re-testing for FREE within a period of time. We are tired of Tire Pros astronomical prices and failure to bend for returning customers — they knew we had to unfairly fork out $500 to have ANOTHER Catalytic Converter replaced after only one year — they knew we had just paid $60 to them that morning for a smog check. And still, they insisted we would have to pay $55-$60 to have a retest that same day. (They said MAYBE they could give us $5 off but had not finalized that.)We will now go across town to another friendly mechanic with very reasonable prices, and take an Uber home when we need repairs done. But it’s worth it when we will save so much money on the services.

If you want to pay too much and deal with unprofessional, rude people, take your car here. I will never again give this place my business solely based on my personal experience with Jeff at the front counter. And I live close enough to walk home.

DO Not recommending for this location I came there for smog check charged me $68 even NOT PASS, and my car work very good, Also took me an hour for waiting even though I set appointment, the clerk Then asked for $150 diagnostic, and She told me don’t know how much more will pay for repair?! Could be $$$ hundreds more.I found another place nearby FoodMax on Watt ave with name Tailpipes only $59/ $10 discount and No pass No pay, don’t have to wait so long 30minsAlso open at 8am and Saturday. This place Look small but quick service and very nice man, smog check only. Recommend.

Beware! My post is not about my experience with this business it is what I have learned about this business before I brought my car. I have a coupon for an oil change it clearly says $13.50! I called for an appointment EVEN after I read all the bad reviews... I was told over the phone my coupon is $13.50off any oil change. Theres several coupons on the same ad saying $$$ off BUT my oil change coupon does not have the word OFF anywhere on the coupon. I attached the coupon ad so you will be able to see for yourself .I feel like this place of business will try to sneak and get more money from you anyway they can without you knowing. I was saddened because I was interested in purchasing two sets of tires for both my vehicles. I have never did business with this tire company and I do not plan to! Just beware and ask questions if you plan to do business at this tire shop.

I first went here in December of 2016 to prepare my car for a very long road trip I was greeted by Omar and Jeff. I can honestly say that I have never had a car repair shop experience like here, the service is absolutely amazing! I have referred all my friends and family and have been a loyal customer since.

I was very impressed at the level of customer service I received from the staff at North Highlands Tire Pros during a recent visit. The TPMS light in my car was on and I didnt appear to have a flat or could see that there was anything puncturing my tires, so I knew I had to get my car checked out. This place came highly recommended from a friend.Right as I pulled up, I was greeted by Jeff, who asked how he could be of service to me. I explained my situation, which he then relayed to a tire technician. I was directed to the lobby as the technician took a closer look at my tires. Shortly after, I was notified that the alert was triggered because there was an imbalance with my tires. I had purchased 4 tires not that long ago from a different shop, and then returned to the same shop to replace my front driver side tire due to an accident. I trusted them so I didnt question the tire being sold me as a replacement. The technician pointed out that the tread depth and pattern on the replacement tire was so drastically different from my other tires that it was causing atypical wear and tear on the rest of my tires thus triggering the alert. I was disappointed at the quality of service the last shop provided me since I was regular patron. I was really thankful for the knowledgable staff at Tire Pros and will definitely be returning for future services!

Honestly I never write reviews but this experience I had was a memory I will never forget.I went in not knowing what to expect especially being a woman knowing normally we get “higher prices and it’s normally because we are not familiar with car parts. (Let’s just be honest)But on my first visit I was greeted with a warm and welcoming smile by a young lady named Erin.The same woman I spoke with over the phone she was very familiar and knowledgeable about all services for your vehicle I was so impressed.She was also accompanied by Jeff the guy who left such an impression on my 5 yr old daughter she drew him a picture. I am writing This review after my second visit and I definitely recommend coming in to meet their wonderful team and informative staff. There warranties are nation wide. What more could you ask for. Pulled my vehicle into into their shop and politely waited and ask for the younger gentleman to check my tire pressure, his words was your going to have to pay me something for that, I said I dont think so its a California lawhe said do it yourself and ignored me the remaining way, I wasnt impressed with how he handled the situation so 1 star.

Ive always use them exclusively.I own a Corvette, mustang, explorer and a truck they take care of all my automotive issues.

These guys do an amazing job and guarantee their work. I like how they diagnose everything and include you in the process so you are well aware. They are a bit pricey, but I understand that quality is not cheap. Be that as it may, I would be very straightforward about what you want done because things add up if you are not careful and that is the only reason I left with a bittersweet taste. And only 4 out of 5 stars.

Great customer service and didnt take to much time at all for an oil change

Paid $70 for an oil change, drove to Idaho the next day and when I got there, realized my car was leaking oil. Had to spend another $35 dollars while in Idaho because this place failed to put my oil filter in correctly or tighten the drain plug. Thankfully I only lost one quart of oil, had I lost more it could have caused major issues to my engine. Will not be going back here and do not recommend.

Erin at the front desk is friendly and very upbeat. Also very informative when I asked questions. I didnt meet the repairmen, but I was very satisfied with their work. Todays visit was for a STAR smog. Previously Ive purchased tires here and felt it was the best deal I found. Also, Ive had a repair on a bearing in the past. They stayed open after closing hours to finish the job even though we were just walk-in customers that afternoon. All positives here.

This place is AMAZING. They not only have the hottest front desk girl I’ve ever seen (I think her names Amber? Oh no it was Erin!) but her service was very fast and she was SO helpful. You can tell she really cares about the customers. I came in to have my car smogged and they had it done in no time. On top of that they have a cute little area and toys to keep my son occupied as well. All around great, I will recommend to all of my friends!!

I came in today for a Smog check today even though this is not my first time here for new tires are brake Job. Every time Im here the workers are really nice from the first phone call. And when I get here they are always polite and will give you the answers to what ever you ask about your car with good understanding by me. The work done on my car is aalways excellent and Im always satisfied with the finish product.

Fantastic job done on my vehicle, for a reasonable and affordable price. Considering how busy they were, they were able to immediately change both my tires and get an oil change during my lunch break. Super friendly and professional staff. Ill definitely be returning in the future!

They took two and a half hours to perform a full synthetic oil change on my 2013 Civic. The waiting area was decent, they had a keurig but no K-cups, only a burnt pot of coffee on the coffee maker. I asked for the remote so I could turn on the tv. They never brought the remote despite saying they’d bring it in a moment. Half an hour later an employee comes over and puts on Our Planet on Netflix and keeps the remote. After being there for an hour and a half I requested an update on how long my car would take. The receptionist said she would check she didn’t get back to me until the car was ready an hour later. Overall it the customer service was subpar, I got an oil change though.

How long is the normal time for a oil change. Well here it will take about a hour. I never had a oil change take this long. All the employees seem like they have nothing to do but stand around.NEVER coming back here

Pleasant ExperienceI was a first time customer so I didnt know what to expect and am pretty picky when it comes to people working on my car. After speaking with the receptionist and then the manager, my mind was set at ease. I was only there for a new set of tires. The waiting room has a large window so the customer can view the tire tech changing your tires. This way you know how he treats those high dollar rims you have. There were no problems at all and the tire tech treated my rims with tender loving care; well maybe not that gentle but he did use care as to not scratch them.If I have one negative it would be after I left the shop and on my way home the low tire pressure light on my dash came on. I pulled over to check that I didnt have a flat tire even though the tires were just installed and brand new. The tires looked fine and I continued home. When I got home I checked the air pressure in each tire. One of the tires had 3 psi less air than the other three tires. This caused the low tire pressure light to come on my dash. I have an air compressor in my garage and merely added air to the proper psi and that fixed the low air pressure light problem. While it was no big deal to me, it might be for someone with no ability to check or add air to the tire. So if theres someone from N. Highlands Tire Pro reading this: help your customers out by inflating all tires to the proper psi. By doing so, youll keep your customers coming back. If not, you risk losing customers and that means losing $$$...

This is a good honest mechanic shop. I would highly recommend. Reasonable and has offered transportation home after dropping off my car. They stand behind their work.

Actually ever since 1996 ive been a customer at this establishment. Different owners. Malik has talen a auto service business to bigger and professional direction, great team members always..

Ive done business with this place a few times and the old manager seemed to be real when it came to service. New guy let me get charged for a bulb replacement I didnt need and instead of fixing the real issue for free or crediting me for the work that didnt need to be done I got to pay for both services. They even explained the issue was a loose connector on the bulb but the tech made no mention of it or indicated the bulb ever worked. Double check work so you arent paying for services you dont need.

Very kind, helpful, and get you the best deals. I had trouble with my transmission and they recommended I take my car to the dealership because it might be under warranty. And their coupons are a life saver as well. Ill always go to them whether its for a flat tire, oil change, or anything else for my car.

May 2018So my car wasnt getting allot of power when I push on the gas and it shakes when driving, my check engine light was on so i take my car in I get charged $125 just to check the check engine light and $545 later my car is fixed. Im a bit upset because I recommended a few of my neighbors to the shop and when he took his car and he didnt get charged to check the check engine light but whatever my car is fixed. Next day I called to see how long a oil change would take I was told about 45min to 1hr so Im like coo but when I get there he tells me they will get to it in 45min and then it will be done 45min after that. So I will no longer be taking my cars here because they seem a bit money hungry but on a positive, they do get the work done right the first time

My air conditioning wasnt working & also needed a smog certificate for my car license renewal Little did I know that the check engine light that went off & on for the past year wouldnt allow my car to pass smog. After the guys at North Highlands Tire Pros found the problems & did my repairs, my car has now passed smog & the air conditioning is fixed. They were all very courteous & knowledgeable & I will be taking my car back for service as needed. Will recommend them to my family & friends.

I was greeted promptly by Jeff upon entering their office. I liked that their work area had safety chains to ensure people dont walk in, its one of the first things I noticed upon arriving. Their office was ample and very clean.Jeff was very professional and personable.He quickly identified what I needed, a tire change, wasted no time in trying to upsell me any services, and then answered a few questions I had, clearly, honestly, and again although offering the services I was looking for, did not upsell me, which I appreciated.The work took a while, I came in mid afternoon without an appointment, but I was able to wait comfortably in their facility.While waiting, I was able to observe Jeff, proactively working, greeting and assisting customers, providing again the same great level of service to everyone. Once the tire change I needed was done, he quickly assisted me on getting me on my way, in a pleasant and personable manner.I would recommend this location to anybody.
