Love this store! I order stuff that I could just go and get myself but my aching knees dont like me walking around. And the staff gets my stuff so all Ive gotta do is pick the items up at the service desk. All of the items the young people pick for me is always in pristine condition (no broken packaging) so Im not getting returned items!
Large selection of stuff fairly easy to find Isles are labeled very well people are kind of hard to find help you willing to check you out real quick

This by far is my favorite Home Depot to go to for my personal project and work construction needs. Ive always been treated with a great level of professionalism from every staff member during all my visits. Its extremely rare that this location will not have something in stock, as it is always kept to a great deal of readiness for its customers. I will always go this location for future projects. Also this is the place I go to grab my traditional Christmas tree every year. They have an excellent selection and the prices are extremely reasonable. Great job Home Depot.

The store itself gets 5 stars, but every time I went, I couldnt get anyone to actually help me with anything. I end up asking random tradesmen, who are also shopping, what I should buy, as the employees are quite clueless.
8/19/2021 I ordered a Frigidaire 18.3 cu ft., on 9/2/2021 it was delivered morning of 9/3/2021 the New, just delivered refrigerator was hot and not working. I called and complained, they said I would have another one within 2weeks. Received a call in 2 weeks and informed it would arrive October 4th.. at this point I am pulling my hair out !!!! Fast forward to today, Friday 10/1/2021( 3 days before my working refrigerator to be delivered) they notify me my new delivery date will be sometime in NOVEMBER !!!! I called the on- line # and they connected me with Northlake stores Top Rep ( insert eye roll ) Paula was looking to help me get a working refrigerator, she suggested I purchase a floor model from their store. At this point I am ok with this option .. sort of. What blew me away was the fact that PAULA said I could pick up the refrigerator. I assured her if I am purchasing a floor model from their store because the one I purchased from them and PAID for delivery they will need to deliver the new working floor model and remove the broken model from my home. Paulas response We dont remove old refrigerators I about lost it ! how in the world do you not remove the broken refrigerator you delivered !?!!!! Customer Service here is probably the worst I have ever experienced. I wonder how Paula would feel living out of a cooler for close to two months with no end in site.

I was helped by a kind and friendly gentleman employee who helped me find exactly what I needed to fix my broken toilet lever at home. He asked me if I knew if my handle was forward, side or angled, and I replied front, He was delighted that I actually knew and made a joke of the situation and we both had a good laugh. I was in the right general area where I had been directed to by another employee when I met him and when I had explained to him what I needed, he knew EXACTLY where it was one aisle over. I also mentioned that I needed the chain and that product was a few columns to the left of the toilet lever. BUT, my HD Employee KNEW the chain product should be there according to the tags, AND he found them 1 row over behind some other product. My trip and my purchase was completed in less than 15 minutes with the help of the employees, automation and ease in finding products. I wish I had gotten the older gentlemans name, but He really made my day!!
Buyers beware Home Depot will cancel your H.D. credit card if you havent used it in a years time. There was no warning of any kind...A letter would have been nice ..or email..They have lost our business..
So I had to order a part I needed for my bathroom online and have it shipped in, yet this home depot returned it and didn’t hold it until the date it said it would. Don’t get sick because they will only hold it for how long they want and you will have to reorder and wait again. Two days is to long for them to hold anything!!

I was able to get what I need but don’t bother calling. They’ll put you on hold for 30 minutes. And the online numbers for in stock items are in no way correct.
I was looking for some tool apparently available online, 2 shown the moment Im writing this, and couldnt find it. I asked for help, 15 mins waiting in vain, again asked for help and the guy couldnt find it. He gave up by simply saying we dont have it, waste of time.

I was shopping for paint, mirrors, and cabinets for a home project Im starting. The guy in the paint by the name of Fernando- helped me to select the finish for my husbands home gym. He was very knowledgeable, and patient while he explained to me about the finishes and sheen for my project. He also gave me a great tip about the mirrors I also had in my cart. I was going to glue them to the wall- and he suggested I attach them with hardware. I can appreciate this from an young employee working at Home Depot!
Went to pickup door and storm doors for my house. Their in-stock selection was adequate for replacing my 60 year old doors that were drafty. Installation was straight forward with some tips suggested from the employee there helping me out. They were able to match Menards 11% off by going online and submitting the paperwork there. Would go back if given the opportunity.

Very bad. Was going to buy a $1,000 weber grill and the people at the customer service desk said nobody showed up for work and nobody can get the box off the top shelf. So I went to Menards. They dont have weber but at least they have people there to help you..
My husband drove an hour and a half yesterday with a rented trailer, only to be told that they didnt have his order that he placed over the phone on Sunday. Several people had confirmed that they had the vinyl fencing in stock as it is hard to come by this time of year. Completely agitated at this point, he asked to speak to the store manager and was told he was too busy. Well, my husbands time is just as important, that was very rude and unprofessional. After refusing to leave until he spoke with the manager, he was ignored until he threatened to call the corporate office. Suddenly the order was found. Really? After about 30 minutes of aggravation. That was the worst customer service ever! I heard Menards call him this morning to follow up on an order he placed. The difference is night and day. Larry Underwood was the customer.

The staff are very helpful and courteous. Everything I needed was in the aisle that was on the app. In and out few minutes. They had a little hot dog place was very good. I think the other stores should get a Depot dog place.
Terrible experience. Went in to get exterior doors. No one was available in that department. Asked 3 different people to help us out and waited for 45 min. No one showed up. Asked to speak with manager and he/she didnt show up either. Finally 4th person started calling around. Turns out the door guy was on lunch break. But they failed to tell us and made us wait. In the end they got lumbar guy to bring the doors down. The doors were both damaged.The worst customer experience.

This is my second most frequented home depot. i come here when i need to buy spraypaint. due to local ordinance, stores in chicago are not allowed to sell it. huge hassle. anyways, luckily this one is not too far away. also, they cut and thread black pipe here for free. some locations charge you a fee for some reason. JUST PURE GREED!
Im trying to purchase storm doors and at least one exterior door but there have been some stumbles. The home depot website doesnt lead to anyone contacting me about a purchase/installation. I had to come into the store, wait for the one guy that can take my questions in millwork, and be told that site doesnt function as it is supposed to. Ok, thats a money loser, home depot.Turns out it cost $40 to have a third party come out to measure the openings. Ok.I am now waiting for that call to set up the appointment to have the openings measured and will update after this occurs.
As always, a pleasure shopping at this store. This time around its Paul in kitchen helping me put together a winning cost effective setup. Great guy, Id even stop by to say hello if I wasnt shopping his department. I love all stores for the most part-but this remains my favorite Home Depot!

Usually don’t leave bad reviews unless absolutely necessary. Went to buy a succulent plant and majority were dried out and dead. It made me incredibly sad to see all of these dead plants. Whoever is in charge of this department needs to tend to the plants more.
Complete lack of respect for the customers and not enough staff. Tried to get some wood cut, had to ask to pge someone 3 times, waited for nearly 20 minutes, called them on the phone asked to send somebody before calling again and trying to speak with the store manager. No luck, no answer. Gave up on the purchase.I had some good pointers for the manager had he picked up. TAKE CARE OF THE CUSTOMERS, THEY BRING IN MONEY THAT PAYS YOUR SALARY!
A mature gentleman was at the lighting department and directed us to Edgar another sales floor associate in the blinds dept that helped us. Made our visit today in the evening 3/21/21 here smooth, fast and easy. Thank you!

This location is the worst in the entire state of Illinois. Employees need a lot of training, because they cant answer a simple questions. After waiting for over an hour and asking different employees for help with getting a box from the top shelf i give up and left the store. Really disappointed with the experience and service.

This particular Home depot lost a customer. Their associates need to be trained and then retrained on all procedures. After calling corporate they confirmed that the store was not conducting themselves according to their policies. I attempted to return a snow blower 29 days after purchase as it didnt do as advertised and the associate that took care of me stated that i had to contact the manufacturer and request an exchange from them. Though the receipt stated clearly that this product was under full reimbursement if returned under 90 days. I asked if i can at least get store credit as i wanted to purchase a gas powered snow blower and without hesitation she said no, and if there was anything else. I called a further Home Depot on Grand Ave, where they gladly took the returned item back and even ordered the replacement gas powered for me and shipped it to my house. Good to know that the Home Depot on Northlake are lazy and try to avoid helping out their customers. Shame on the Management team for not taking care of these issues. Seems to be consistent problem here.

Its rare to get proper help here theyre usually out of things that they shouldnt be out of . a lot of the employees spend their time trying to hide from you just in case you want to ask them a question. Went to buy a propane torpedo heater, website said they had 9 in stock. Get to store, they have zero in stock, and the customer sales associate mentioned how they havent had them in stock for months.Learn how to take and update inventory systems so you can stop wasting your customers time. I would understand if your website said you had 1 or 2 of them in stock, but it said you had nine of them.
